4 Ways to Solve Amazon Tracking Issues When Retail Dropshipping

Published on: December 1 2022 by Bryan Guerra

When it comes to retail dropshipping on Amazon, tracking issues can be a common problem. This can result in delayed orders, dissatisfied customers, and even account suspensions. But don't worry, there are solutions to these tracking issues. In this article, we will discuss four ways to solve Amazon tracking issues when retail dropshipping.

1. Use a Reliable Tracking Service:

One way to solve Amazon tracking issues is by using a reliable tracking service. These services can provide you with real-time tracking updates and ensure that your customers receive their orders on time. Some popular tracking services include ShipStation, AfterShip, and Easyship.

2. Communicate with Your Suppliers:

Another way to solve tracking issues is by communicating with your suppliers. If you notice that orders are not being shipped on time or are not being updated in the tracking system, contact your supplier and ask for an update. This can help you identify any issues early on and prevent further delays.

3. Check Your Settings:

Sometimes tracking issues can be caused by incorrect settings. Make sure that your Amazon account settings are correct, including your shipping and tracking preferences. Also, check that your supplier is using the correct shipping carrier and tracking number format.

4. Be Proactive:

Finally, it's important to be proactive when it comes to tracking issues. Monitor your orders regularly and follow up with your suppliers and customers as needed. This can help you identify and resolve any issues before they become bigger problems.

Tracking issues can be a frustrating part of retail dropshipping on Amazon, but with these four solutions, you can minimize the impact on your business. By using a reliable tracking service, communicating with your suppliers, checking your settings, and being proactive, you can ensure that your customers receive their orders on time and keep your Amazon account in good standing.

4 Ways to Solve Amazon Tracking Issues When Retail Dropshipping

Over the past few weeks, I have been testing drop shipping on various platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and eBay. While there are other platforms available, as long as you can use your own labels and ship on your own, drop shipping can be facilitated. I have been testing to see if it is a viable option and have found that it could potentially be another income stream for me once systematized. I am always searching for new ways to make money in e-commerce and this could be another potential way.

One issue that arises with drop shipping is tracking. When using Amazon as a supplier to retail dropship on another platform, the tracking number may not be compatible with the other platform. There are four main solutions to this problem:

1. Use the DSM tool which converts the Amazon Logistics tracking number to a BlueCare Express tracking number, which can be used on eBay.

2. Use OA Genius which generates a random FedEx tracking number that matches the destination address of the buyer.

3. Don't use Amazon as a supplier and instead use other retail sites with fast shipping or wholesale suppliers.

4. Use dropship arbitrage, where the product is listed on one marketplace at a markup, ordered from a supplier, and then ordered to the seller's location first before being shipped out to the buyer with the correct label.

While dropship arbitrage may require an extra step, it can protect the seller in the long term and can be done on any platform. Overall, drop shipping can be a viable income stream once systematized and the tracking issue can be solved with various solutions.
