What are Multi-Format ads?
The rise of online music streaming services has resulted in advertisers needing to adopt new approaches to their campaigns. The one-size-fits-all approach is no longer viable in this era of online streaming. Advertisers must now utilize different ad formats and targeting strategies to capture the attention of their audience. This article explores the benefits of multi-format ad zones and how they can increase the number of eligible bids for a publisher's impressions while giving advertisers access to previously unavailable inventory.
Advantages of Multi-Format Ad Zones:
1. Effective Monetization: Multi-format ad zones often have better ECBM rates than standard zones, allowing publishers to maximize their revenue potential.
2. Control: Publishers have the ability to choose two or more ad formats to show on a specific ad placement and control the style of each. Custom fonts, colors, and styles can also be used for native ads in rotation.
3. Seamless Visual Integration: The container of the ad can be set to automatically resize to the winning ad format, ensuring no visual glitches, spaces, or cropping when displayed.
4. A/B Testing: Different native ads can be tested against each other to determine which one performs better.
5. Increased Reach: Multi-format ads allow advertisers to target more zones and participate in more auctions, expanding their reach.
6. Save Time: Multi-format ads eliminate the need to create specific creative assets to target a particular ad zone.
Examples of Multi-Format Ad Zones:
- One banner 900x250
- One banner 728x90
- Three 300x250 banners
- Four 300x250 banners
- A 1x3 native widget
- A 1x4 native widget
- A 1x5 native widget
- One 300x100 banner
- One 300x250 banner
- A 1x2 native widget
- A 2x2 native widget
Multi-format ad zones are an effective solution for advertisers and publishers alike. They provide access to previously unavailable inventory, increase the number of eligible bids for a publisher's impressions, and expand an advertiser's reach. The ability to combine different ad formats into a single ad placement provides publishers with more control over their ad inventory, while the seamless visual integration ensures a smooth user experience. Overall, multi-format ad zones offer a win-win solution for publishers and advertisers looking to maximize their revenue potential.
