Hey, what's up guys? This is your friend Nick, back with another video. Today, I am going to share a case study with you on how we made more than $570K in a year by selling a makeup brush cleaner. I will share everything from product research to scaling strategies, testing, and hitting 100K and more in sales each month.
We found the product using Facebook Graph search, which is an underutilized way of searching for products. We searched for makeup-related products and stumbled upon makeup brush cleaner, which we found was in high demand. We saw that many sellers were selling makeup brushes but not many were selling makeup brush cleaners. We also found that the quality of makeup brush cleaners was poor, and sellers were not able to sell them at a high margin.
We ran a website conversion (WC) and a page post engagement (PPE) ad with a budget of $5 only. The ad sets were focused on makeup lovers, makeup magazines, and makeup brands. We also added a call-to-action in the video to push engagement. We got a good amount of engagement and made our first sale in 24 hours. We duplicated the working ad sets and increased the budget to $20, $40, $80, $160, and $320.
We used the Lookalike audience (LLA) feature to target customers from the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. We made around $220K in less than two months by using this scaling strategy.
