10 SHOPPING SECRETS Aldi Doesn't Want You to Know!

These are 10 huge shopping secrets that only the most experienced Aldi shopper will know! Hey guys, great to be with you. I am the deal guy, Matt Granite. Welcome back to the channel. I love shopping at Aldi, I love saving you money, and if this is the type of content that you like to see, please give this video a thumbs up. And if you subscribe and turn your notifications on, I can promise you'll save a lot of money and you'll be a member of my frugal family.

One thing that I've realized in the comments from the last video that I shot pertaining to Aldi, I uploaded all of these things you should be buying and some of the lesser-known products, and the subscribers of this channel not only educated me, but you guys really watched out for each other. And if there is insight that you have to share, I'm going to welcome you guys to please do that in the comments section. That makes these videos so much better.

Before I get to these 10 huge shopping secrets, I just want to remind you guys that on Matt'sDailyDeals.com, my own personal website, I've got tons of deals, coupons, and savings to rock your world. A reminder, I do use affiliate links, so if you're kind enough to use one of my links, I will benefit monetarily. And thank you for that.

Now, so you can benefit monetarily, saving secret number one. In my last upload, I did mention that the Aldi spices were one of the best grabs that you could possibly find at Aldi. Aldi, or Aldi, by the way, no matter how you pronounce it, I respect you. The spices that you'll buy, whether it's garlic powder, paprika, you're looking at a dollar in some cases per spice. And I'm going to take you inside my local Aldi throughout this video so we can actually compare a lot of this stuff. But what you might not know actually comes to me from a subscriber. Tyler commented on my last Aldi video that he had an interview and tour of the store, and the manager let him know that the spices are made up of McCormick leftovers. So you're paying a dollar for name brand spices, which is an incredible thing that you might not have known. So yes, you're getting huge bang for your buck on the spices, but you are, in fact, buying into something that is sometimes 10 times more expensive from another grocery store. So keep that in mind as saving secret number one.

Shopping secret number two is also a double whammy. Number two is very appropriate because I don't know if you guys are aware, but you get a double back guarantee on all the products. Now, while this does not apply to non-food, all defined items, national brands, and alcohol, you will be able to return any item for a replacement as well as a refund. So this is not for those situations where you don't like the flavor of the marinara you purchased. This is for things where the quality is not up to par. Maybe something has clumped or is just not really performing the way you would like it to perform. Aldi will not only replace the item, but they will also refund your purchase, making this the best grocery store guarantee you will see anywhere. So I'm going to remind you guys, if something is not up to your standards, we'll talk about customer service and some great ways to approach the grocery store with some of my other shopping secrets in a few moments. But this is huge, and I want to make sure it's on your radar.

Shopping secret number three. There is a place online where many Aldi employees from around the world all sound off about their favorite products. And you might not know this forum exists. I'm going to give you the link to it. It's in the video description box. But before we get there, for a lot of grocery stores and a lot of retailers, the employees are sworn to these crazy non-disclosures. They're not allowed to speak publicly unless it goes through the company's PR arm. That's not the case for Aldi. Now, for Aldi, there is a Reddit page. And if you guys aren't familiar with what Reddit is, it's a forum compiled of all sorts of subpages where people can contribute photos and blogs and videos in some cases. But I'm going to let you guys know that for Aldi, when it comes to their Winking Owl branded wine and many other insights that you can find, you're not only going to score recipes, you are going to score insight from actual store employees that all come together. Now, this isn't sanctioned by Aldi, but it is definitely encouraged from what I've learned speaking to store employees and managers. So you can get that insight. This is great, especially if you come to a time again where you're doing curbside pickup options and you can't wander the store and speak as freely as you'd like. There is a resource online that can bring huge savings and bang for your buck, specifically for some of those hyper-hard-to-find Aldi items that are huge bangs for your buck.

Now, the fourth shopping secret doesn't really bring any bang for your buck unless you follow it. Now, I hate to say it, guys, but the toiletry aisle and toiletry items as a whole at Aldi are not a good purchase at all. In fact, I would really avoid it if you can. No store is perfect in every department, and while Aldi does check the box for many wonderful resources for toilet paper, for tissue, for even things like toothpaste, these are products you want to avoid. On toilet paper, in my estimation, you're paying 40% more. Their toilet paper is not that great to begin with. And if you were to go to Target, I'm not even going to bring Walmart up as a savings because there is a crazy amount of cash you will lose going to Walmart versus Aldi. But for those of you that never want to step foot in a Walmart again, let's compare it to Target or even Amazon. 40% more on average for toilet paper. And then for things like toothpaste, guys, if you go to CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, you're paying at least a dollar less at those stores in comparison to Aldi. So I'll just throw this on the list as a negative, but something you definitely want to know.

Now, for saving secret number five, there's a huge piece of insight tied to that in terms of saving once you get into the physical store. But as you get that shopping cart ready, I don't know if you guys are aware, you don't actually need to always have a quarter. So there's two things that I'm going to work into this. First of all, if you go into an Aldi and there is a cashier, they will generally loan you a quarter. They're very receptive to this. But if you don't want to do that, there are different ways you can beat the system. I'm telling you, don't walk off with the shopping cart, return it, and then you're not taking advantage of Aldi or anything that would not be fully legit. But there are shopping cart quarters that work in all these shopping carts and different colors that you can tag to your keychain that you can purchase. Some work in American stores, some work in Canadian stores, depending on where it is that you're shopping. So please read everything very carefully. There's an Aldi keychain that you can buy. This is someone who has actually branded them as Aldi, which is kind of fun. Different merchants that do different things and different things that you can actually put into your shopping cart, so it depends on what you're buying, what style you like. There's also quarter holders that you can attach to your keychain or the specific branded quarters, which is kind of fun. But this is something where you don't always need to be scrambling for a quarter.

For shopping secret number six, Trader Joe's, the sister store to Aldi, is very even-tempered when it comes to sales. The idea is that everything is always at the lowest price, and they're not really huge to push the whole savings coupons or circular thing. The Aldi mindset is a little bit different. Aldi has some insane specials, but the best ones are actually advertised online. So if you guys have not bookmarked or subscribed, there's actually a huge differentiating factor between the Aldi printed ad and the Aldi digital ad. And just in terms of the research I've done, you guys are going to find much better deals advertised online. You just enter your specific zip code, and they do vary significantly from store to store. So for the 89 cent red grapes from California, the 25 cent

The Truth About Aldi's Really Low Prices

If you've ever shopped at Aldi, you know they save you money. Lots of money. Their legions of fans will attest to the fact that they're not selling cheap, inferior products, so how do they get those prices so low? It turns out there are a ton of ways Aldi got creative with cutting costs so they can pass those savings on to you. Let's break down how they really do it.

Prime time:

- Aldi stays open during peak shopping hours and closes early, cutting down on staffing costs and utilities. Plus, it makes them a great neighbor by reducing late-night noise.

Taking the air out:

- Aldi minimizes ullage, or the amount of air in their packaging, which allows for smaller boxes and bags. This leads to savings in packaging, transportation, and stocking costs.

Help us out:

- Aldi saves money by having customers return their shopping carts to the front of the store, eliminating the need for employees to do it. This helps cut down on labor costs.

They spend extra upfront:

- Aldi carefully chooses locations and builds their stores with durable materials, leading to lower maintenance costs and sustained quality over time.

Just the essentials:

- Aldi limits its stock to around 1,400 core items, allowing them to buy in bulk and pass on the savings to customers. This eliminates excessive choices and focuses on what customers need.

Private label:

- More than 90% of the items at Aldi are their own private label, allowing for strict quality control and cutting out the middleman. This eliminates extra markups and reduces prices.

Produce and perishables:

- Aldi stocks fewer perishable items to minimize waste and reduce risk. Unsold food often goes to charitable organizations, ensuring it doesn't go to waste.

Just in time, just enough:

- Aldi uses the just-in-time inventory model, ordering stock only when needed. This lowers operating costs and relies on accurate demand forecasting.

Stocking shelves the easy way:

- Aldi ships products in the same boxes they will be displayed in, saving time and labor. Milk is pre-loaded onto racks for easy placement, reducing the need for shuffling.

Do you work here:

- Aldi keeps staffing to a minimum by expecting employees to be versatile and handle a variety of roles. This cuts down on labor costs and maximizes efficiency.

Energy efficiency:

- Aldi stores are designed to be environmentally friendly, with energy management systems, efficient technology, and upgrades to ensure peak efficiency.

BYO Bag:

- Aldi encourages customers to bring their own reusable bags, reducing the need for plastic bags and saving costs in the long run.

Aldi's commitment to cost-cutting measures allows them to provide customers with affordable products without sacrificing quality. From their strategic store hours to their private label products, Aldi has found innovative ways to save money and pass those savings on to their loyal customers. So next time you shop at Aldi, remember that you're not just getting a great deal, but you're also supporting a business that prioritizes efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Aldi Specialbuys - Ambiano Air Fryer - We should get frequent fryer miles!

Today, we're trying out the Ambiano Air Fryer. This oil-free fryer is a healthier way to fry foods. It has a large 2.6-liter frying basket, a backlit touch display, and eight cooking programs. The basket is dishwasher safe, making it convenient to clean. The temperature control ranges from 80 to 200 degrees in 5-degree steps. It also has a delay timer, which is handy for preparing food in advance. The touch control panel is easy to clean. This air fryer is ideal for cooking chips, bacon, steak, prawns, cakes, fish, and vegetables.

Let's take a look at what's in the box. The air fryer comes with a three-year warranty and a user manual. The manual provides helpful information on the parts, cleaning, maintenance, and care of the appliance. It also explains how to use the timer and temperature functions, as well as how to set the delay start buttons. Additionally, there's a table with cooking times, temperatures, and quantities as a guide.

The machine itself is shiny black and looks quite smart. It has a pull-out drawer with a button to release the basket. When the food is ready, you can easily pop it back in and slide it back in.

Using the air fryer is straightforward. There's an on/off button and a simple button to adjust the temperature and timer. You can also use the preset functions for specific foods. To pause the machine, press the button again. If you want to stop the program altogether, press and hold the button. The fan will run for a few seconds even on pause.

To use the delay start function, simply press the clock button and adjust the minutes. The timer will count down and start cooking once the set time is reached.

Now, let's compare the Ambiano Air Fryer to the Kosori Air Fryer. While the Kosori version is more expensive and feels more solid, both fryers work in the same way. They have a quick-release drawer and preset buttons. The main difference is the size and shape.

For our test, we're going to cook a couple of chicken thigh burgers. The basket is quite small, so we may need to spread the food out. In the oven, these burgers would cook at 200 degrees for about 32 minutes. However, since the air fryer is more efficient, we can reduce the time, temperature, or both. We'll cook them for 25 minutes at 190 degrees.

After checking and turning them halfway through cooking, we can see that the results are fabulous. Despite being smaller than the Kosori Air Fryer, the Ambiano version works just as efficiently and easily. We'll add this review to our Ambiano playlist, where you can find the halogen air fryer for comparison.

In conclusion, the Ambiano Air Fryer is a great option for oil-free frying. It's easy to use, has a variety of cooking programs, and produces delicious results. Whether you're cooking chips, bacon, steak, or vegetables, this air fryer is a convenient and healthier alternative to traditional frying methods.
