00:00:24 00:00:28 a lot of different benefits with each
00:00:26 00:00:30 platform eBay had his benefits Amazon
00:00:28 00:00:32 FBA had its benefits so in this video
00:00:30 00:00:34 I'll be going over you know the pros of
00:00:32 00:00:36 each platform you know what I liked
00:00:34 00:00:38 about as well as some of the cons you

00:00:49 00:00:54 friendly platform it's fairly easy to

00:00:54 00:00:57 link your PayPal account which is where
00:00:55 00:00:59 your payments are gonna be going and
00:00:57 00:01:01 then from your PayPal account you can
00:00:59 00:01:02 then release those payments to your bank
00:01:01 00:01:05 accounts so it's a fairly simple
00:01:02 00:01:06 platforms you know operate and setup and
00:01:05 00:01:08 things along those lines and a great
00:01:06 00:01:09 thing about eBay is you know you can
00:01:08 00:01:12 create your own listing so you're able
00:01:09 00:01:13 to go through and you know create a
00:01:12 00:01:14 listing from you know the pictures of
00:01:13 00:01:16 the product you know these are actually
00:01:14 00:01:18 stok photos there's probably a better
00:01:16 00:01:20 example right here so this person you
00:01:18 00:01:22 know took these own pictures on their
00:01:20 00:01:23 own with not the best pictures but
00:01:22 00:01:25 decent pictures that white background
00:01:23 00:01:27 you know have some different pictures of
00:01:25 00:01:28 the products you know they're Rameau you
00:01:27 00:01:30 know everything that's bundled in there
00:01:28 00:01:33 they have a title just not very good
00:01:30 00:01:34 obviously their price point and then
00:01:33 00:01:36 they have a description which it looks
00:01:34 00:01:38 pretty good from what I can see right
00:01:36 00:01:40 here you know they're shipping you know
00:01:38 00:01:41 the customer service and great thing
00:01:40 00:01:43 about eBay is you're able to go through
00:01:41 00:01:45 you know explain what exactly this
00:01:43 00:01:46 product is to the customer because each
00:01:45 00:01:47 different product you're listing is
00:01:46 00:01:49 unique you know the condition is gonna
00:01:47 00:01:51 be different now the model is gonna be
00:01:49 00:01:52 different and depending on what you're
00:01:51 00:01:54 selling just everything's gonna be
00:01:52 00:01:56 different and another great thing about
00:01:54 00:01:58 eBay is you're able to you know select
00:01:56 00:02:00 how exactly you want to sell this
00:01:58 00:02:02 product so you can sell it such as a you
00:02:00 00:02:05 know a Buy It Now price as you can see
00:02:02 00:02:07 for sixty one seventy five but also they
00:02:05 00:02:09 have you know a best offer options so
00:02:07 00:02:11 maybe if someone says you know I'll buy
00:02:09 00:02:14 this product for $50 you know they'll go
00:02:11 00:02:14 ahead they'll make an offer for $50 and
00:02:14 00:02:16 then you
00:02:14 00:02:19 then have the you know the chance to
00:02:16 00:02:21 either accept that offer for $50 or you
00:02:19 00:02:23 can either you know counteroffer so
00:02:21 00:02:25 maybe you're only going to accept 55 you
00:02:23 00:02:28 send them back a counteroffer 55 boom
00:02:25 00:02:30 you made the sale for $55 it's a win-win

00:02:34 00:02:39 watchlist so if a product is hot and
00:02:37 00:02:41 lots of people are viewing their product
00:02:39 00:02:43 but not so much purchasing it you're
00:02:41 00:02:44 gonna get a lot of traction and a lot of
00:02:43 00:02:46 you know people watching that product
00:02:44 00:02:48 each time you know someone watches that
00:02:46 00:02:49 product or each time you sell it you
00:02:48 00:02:51 know or each time you know another
00:02:49 00:02:52 person is added to the watchlist people
00:02:51 00:02:54 are gonna notike that they're gonna
00:02:52 00:02:56 notike that there's you know 12 people
00:02:54 00:02:57 watching you know this individual
00:02:56 00:02:59 product so there's maybe people that are
00:02:57 00:03:01 interested in purchasing that product as
00:02:59 00:03:04 well also when it comes to selling on
00:03:01 00:03:05 eBay the opportunities are honestly
00:03:04 00:03:07 endless when it comes to the products
00:03:05 00:03:09 that you're allowed to sell I mean
00:03:07 00:03:12 obviously you can't sell like fake stuff
00:03:09 00:03:14 like fake Gucci you know counterfeit you
00:03:12 00:03:16 know not authentik products so obviously
00:03:14 00:03:17 people are gonna you know report you and
00:03:16 00:03:20 you're gonna get your counted you know
00:03:17 00:03:22 suspended but when comparing eBay to
00:03:20 00:03:24 Amazon there's just so much more freedom
00:03:22 00:03:27 on eBay I mean for instance you can't
00:03:24 00:03:29 sell you know used clothing on Amazon or
00:03:27 00:03:31 you know used shoes or anything and
00:03:29 00:03:32 there's also categories on Amazon that
00:03:31 00:03:35 are restricted you know like handbags
00:03:32 00:03:37 and clothing and you know groceries and
00:03:35 00:03:39 all these different categories on Amazon
00:03:37 00:03:41 that you have to you know you have to
00:03:39 00:03:42 apply you have to send an invoice --is
00:03:41 00:03:44 and all this extra information when it
00:03:42 00:03:45 comes to eBay you can really list
00:03:44 00:03:48 anything as long as it's not like
00:03:45 00:03:50 illegal counterfeit and authentik um
00:03:48 00:03:52 other than that there's tons and tons of
00:03:50 00:03:54 products English you know anything newer
00:03:52 00:03:56 use that you can think of you know is
00:03:54 00:03:59 probably listed in for sale on eBay from

00:04:12 00:04:16 mobile app that allows you to be able to
00:04:14 00:04:18 you know go do eBay you know do product
00:04:16 00:04:19 research and create listings on the go
00:04:18 00:04:21 using the eBay app you know just using
00:04:19 00:04:23 your phone you can just download you
00:04:21 00:04:24 know the the product on your phone and
00:04:23 00:04:25 you're good to go I mean obviously I
00:04:24 00:04:27 can't show you on my phone right now
00:04:25 00:04:30 because that resolution will not show
00:04:27 00:04:31 on this webcam whatsoever but basically

00:04:31 00:04:34 can go do product research so what I'm

00:04:44 00:04:48 product you know enter in the title
00:04:46 00:04:49 enter in a quick description you know
00:04:48 00:04:51 some different product details put a
00:04:49 00:04:53 price in and boom that thing is listed
00:04:51 00:04:55 for sale on eBay ready for the whole
00:04:53 00:04:57 world to have the chance to purchase
00:04:55 00:04:59 that product so eBay is a very very
00:04:57 00:05:01 mobile app that you're able to use and
00:04:59 00:05:03 create product listings and create sales
00:05:01 00:05:05 from your phone now with every platform
00:05:03 00:05:07 it's gonna have its benefits it's gonna
00:05:05 00:05:09 have his pros and I had a lot of great
00:05:07 00:05:12 success on eBay but when it comes to the
00:05:09 00:05:15 cons there's one thing that really got
00:05:12 00:05:16 to me that one thing is shipping so when
00:05:15 00:05:19 you sell something on eBay
00:05:16 00:05:21 you were mainly gonna have to pick pack
00:05:19 00:05:24 and ship that product to your customer
00:05:21 00:05:26 now it seems somewhat complicated at the
00:05:24 00:05:27 beginning and the first couple times you
00:05:26 00:05:29 do it it's gonna be a little bit
00:05:27 00:05:30 difficult it's gonna take some time to
00:05:29 00:05:32 figure out how the process works you
00:05:30 00:05:34 know you know what shipping service do
00:05:32 00:05:35 you want to select how do you measure
00:05:34 00:05:37 the product how do you pack the product
00:05:35 00:05:38 you know what packing supplies need to
00:05:37 00:05:40 get but once you ship out you know five
00:05:38 00:05:41 six seven items you're gonna get the
00:05:40 00:05:43 hang of it and it's gonna get a lot
00:05:41 00:05:45 easier but at the beginning it can be
00:05:43 00:05:47 something kind of difficult and you know
00:05:45 00:05:49 I think it's the point where I was
00:05:47 00:05:51 selling you know twenty thirty items a
00:05:49 00:05:54 day on eBay and to have to go and
00:05:51 00:05:55 manually ship you know those products
00:05:54 00:05:58 out each and every day got kind of
00:05:55 00:06:00 difficult with managing school and extra
00:05:58 00:06:02 activities such as the basketball in the
00:06:00 00:06:04 gym and working out is this really tough
00:06:02 00:06:07 to you know find an hour an hour and 15
00:06:04 00:06:08 minutes you know every single day to put
00:06:07 00:06:10 in that manual labor of having to ship
00:06:08 00:06:12 out products I mean I would do it
00:06:10 00:06:13 because obviously I was making you know
00:06:12 00:06:15 I'm really nice profit on the products I
00:06:13 00:06:18 was selling but you know it takes time
00:06:15 00:06:20 to go through and you know pick pack and
00:06:18 00:06:23 ship those products to your customer now
00:06:20 00:06:25 when using Amazon FBA which I'll get
00:06:23 00:06:27 into more it allows you to be able to
00:06:25 00:06:30 send all of your physical inventory to
00:06:27 00:06:33 be stored at an Amazon warehouse for
00:06:30 00:06:35 obviously a small theme each month now
00:06:33 00:06:37 the great thing about the FBA platform
00:06:35 00:06:40 is once that product sells on Amazon the
00:06:37 00:06:40 Amazon Fulfillment Eames that product to
00:06:40 00:06:42 your
00:06:40 00:06:45 customer for you so if you were to sell
00:06:42 00:06:48 you know 50 items today on eBay and 50
00:06:45 00:06:50 items you know on Amazon you're gonna
00:06:48 00:06:52 have to manually go through and ship all
00:06:50 00:06:55 50 of those items is sold on eBay but
00:06:52 00:06:58 the 50 items you sold on Amazon using
00:06:55 00:06:59 FBA using the FBA program the
00:06:58 00:07:02 fulfillment by Amazon team is gonna ship
00:06:59 00:07:04 all those 50 products to your customer
00:07:02 00:07:05 to day shipping for you so you don't
00:07:04 00:07:07 even have to touch anything when it
00:07:05 00:07:09 comes to shipping that product to the
00:07:07 00:07:10 customer when you sell it on FBA
00:07:09 00:07:13 compared to you having to you know
00:07:10 00:07:16 fulfill pick pack and ship every order
00:07:13 00:07:18 on eBay now let's get into Amazon FBA so
00:07:16 00:07:20 FBA is another great platform that
00:07:18 00:07:23 allows you to be able to sell your own
00:07:20 00:07:25 products on amazon.com the largest
00:07:23 00:07:27 retail website in the world
00:07:25 00:07:30 so using FBA which stands for the full
00:07:27 00:07:32 event by Amazon it allows you to be able
00:07:30 00:07:34 to go through you know find profitable
00:07:32 00:07:37 products have those products you know
00:07:34 00:07:39 books electronics know whatever you
00:07:37 00:07:41 wanting to sell have those products note
00:07:39 00:07:45 shipped to an Amazon warehouse where it
00:07:41 00:07:46 will be stored for a low monthly fee and
00:07:45 00:07:48 what happens is while it's stored there
00:07:46 00:07:50 you being charged as low monthly fee but
00:07:48 00:07:52 that product is live and for sale on
00:07:50 00:07:54 Amazon and like I mentioned whenever a
00:07:52 00:07:56 product is purchased off Amazon the
00:07:54 00:07:58 fulfillment team will ship that product
00:07:56 00:08:00 today shipping to your customer for you
00:07:58 00:08:02 which allows you to live a lifestyle to
00:08:00 00:08:04 be able to run a business that's
00:08:02 00:08:06 somewhat automated in the sense that
00:08:04 00:08:07 you're not having to do all this
00:08:06 00:08:08 shipping and fulfillment obviously
00:08:07 00:08:10 you're having to make sure you know your
00:08:08 00:08:12 prices are competitive that you're
00:08:10 00:08:13 listing your product is selling but when
00:08:12 00:08:15 it comes to actually no shipping and
00:08:13 00:08:17 providing customer service Amazon
00:08:15 00:08:19 handles all that for you so that is a
00:08:17 00:08:22 huge Pro when it comes to using Amazon
00:08:19 00:08:24 FBA now also when it comes to selling on
00:08:22 00:08:26 Amazon it depends on if you know you're
00:08:24 00:08:27 creating a whole new listing for your
00:08:26 00:08:29 product for instance if you're private
00:08:27 00:08:30 labeling you're gonna be creating your
00:08:29 00:08:32 whole listing you know from the title of
00:08:30 00:08:34 the bullet points everything like that
00:08:32 00:08:36 but if you're selling a product for
00:08:34 00:08:38 instance like a book or an electronic or
00:08:36 00:08:40 you know a video game there's already a
00:08:38 00:08:42 listing that's already established it
00:08:40 00:08:43 has the pictures has the title has the
00:08:42 00:08:46 description already there you're just
00:08:43 00:08:47 there basically entering in you know the
00:08:46 00:08:49 condition of the product the price point
00:08:47 00:08:51 you want to sell it for and then boom
00:08:49 00:08:52 that product is then for live on Amazon
00:08:51 00:08:53 obviously after it checks into the
00:08:52 00:08:55 Amazon where
00:08:53 00:08:56 house that's another great thing you
00:08:55 00:08:59 know because when you compare it to eBay
00:08:56 00:09:01 you haven't actually manually create the

00:09:05 00:09:10 stuff on eBay when it comes to a listing

00:09:15 00:09:18 your product is it good condition is it

00:09:18 00:09:22 adding a price point for that product

00:09:45 00:09:48 to learn so like I mentioned eBay is a
00:09:47 00:09:50 little bit more you know beginner
00:09:48 00:09:52 friendly you know it's fairly easy to
00:09:50 00:09:54 set up your account you know link your
00:09:52 00:09:56 PayPal account when it comes to you know
00:09:54 00:09:58 signing up for Amazon it's a little bit
00:09:56 00:09:59 more expensive for instance a payment
00:09:58 00:10:02 plan if you do decide to go with the
00:09:59 00:10:03 professional solid plan it is $40 per
00:10:02 00:10:05 month but I mean think about if you're
00:10:03 00:10:07 selling you know books and you're making
00:10:05 00:10:08 five ten dollars problems for you know
00:10:07 00:10:11 per book it's gonna be easy to pay off
00:10:08 00:10:12 that $40 per month you know it's kind of
00:10:11 00:10:14 scary at the beginning but you know take
00:10:12 00:10:16 that leap you know invest in that
00:10:14 00:10:18 professional soil plan and start selling
00:10:16 00:10:20 products on Amazon but other than that
00:10:18 00:10:21 it's a little bit trickier to learn you
00:10:20 00:10:24 know especially when it comes to you
00:10:21 00:10:25 know listing the product some is on you
00:10:24 00:10:27 know fighting your first shipment it's a
00:10:25 00:10:28 little bit tricky at the beginning it's
00:10:27 00:10:30 a little bit hard but there's tons of
00:10:28 00:10:32 different tutorials out there I mean my
00:10:30 00:10:34 course I go straight through you know
00:10:32 00:10:36 how exactly to run an Amazon business
00:10:34 00:10:38 you know how exactly to create your
00:10:36 00:10:39 first shipment so if you are interested
00:10:38 00:10:41 in that you can find that in the
00:10:39 00:10:43 description of this video but I mean
00:10:41 00:10:45 it's fairly it's fairly tricky to learn
00:10:43 00:10:47 at the beginning but the thing about it
00:10:45 00:10:50 is once you learn it once you do it once
00:10:47 00:10:52 or twice it's just simple from then on
00:10:50 00:10:54 that third fourth fish it's gonna be
00:10:52 00:10:56 extremely easy it's just figuring it and
00:10:54 00:10:58 once you've figured it out it's all
00:10:56 00:11:00 about speed repetition and just keep
00:10:58 00:11:03 finding and sourcing as many profitable
00:11:00 00:11:05 products as you can to sell on Amazon so
00:11:03 00:11:06 when it comes to my personal opinion on
00:11:05 00:11:08 you know which platform is the
00:11:06 00:11:10 a cell on which one's going to be the
00:11:08 00:11:12 most profitable in my opinion I think
00:11:10 00:11:14 both platforms are a great place to sell
00:11:12 00:11:16 on you know eBay is a little bit more
00:11:14 00:11:18 beginner friendly like I've mentioned
00:11:16 00:11:20 multiple times it's a little bit easier
00:11:18 00:11:21 to set up but I feel like it's almost a
00:11:20 00:11:22 little bit harder to scale you know
00:11:21 00:11:24 there's a lot more manual labor that
00:11:22 00:11:27 goes into creating the listing and
00:11:24 00:11:29 shipping such as when it comes to you
00:11:27 00:11:31 know selling on Amazon FBA it's a little
00:11:29 00:11:33 bit harder to learn but once you learn
00:11:31 00:11:36 the process it's pretty easy to master
00:11:33 00:11:38 and then it's already almost automated
00:11:36 00:11:39 somewhat scalable I know very scalable
00:11:38 00:11:42 in the sense that you can be selling you
00:11:39 00:11:44 know hundreds and hundreds of products a
00:11:42 00:11:46 day and Amazon is doing all the shipping
00:11:44 00:11:48 fulfillment and customer service for you
00:11:46 00:11:50 so when it comes to both platforms they
00:11:48 00:11:51 both have their pros they both have
00:11:50 00:11:54 their cons and they're a great place for
00:11:51 00:11:57 you to start your online selling journey
