The Truth About Amazon Dropshipping - Watch This BEFORE You Start!

in this video, i'm going to break down the pros and cons of amazon drop shipping and help you determine whether this ecommerce business model is worth doing. if you enjoyed this video, don't forget to hit the subscribe button and be sure to hit the bell button to be notified when new videos come out. now, having been an e-commerce since 2007, i've seen many popular ecommerce business models crash and burn, and through all the years that i've been doing this, one lesson always rings true: if it sounds too easy and too good to be true, then it probably won't last, and amazon drop shipping falls into this category. now, first off, i want to say that there is money to be made by drop shipping on amazon, and it's probably one of the least expensive ways to get started selling online with practikally zero upfront monetary risk. but before you jump the gun, i want you to ask yourself a few important questions. would you rather launch a business that makes a couple bucks here and there in the short term, or would you rather build a branded business that can stand the test of time? well, today i'm going to analyze the pros and cons of the amazon drop shipping business model and provide you with an accurate picture so you can decide whether you want to give amazon drop shipping a try. now, what is amazon drop shipping? well, amazon drop shipping is an ecommerce business model where you sell physical products on amazon without having to deal with inventory, shipping, handling or customer service. so basically, amazon, your supplier, handles all the heavy lifting for you. when you make a sale on amazon, you simply notify your drop shipper and they ship your products directly to the amazon customer on your behalf. now, you don't touch a single product in the process. there's almost zero upfront costs outside of signing up for an amazon account, and you don't have to buy any inventory whatsoever until the item has been sold. now, the low risk aspect of drop shipping on amazon makes it an appealing business model because anyone can do it and you don't have to be tik savvy. to begin now, when evaluating the different e-commerce business models, amazon drop shipping is probably the easiest way to start selling online. now, is amazon drop shipping legal? and the answer is yes. however, you have to follow their rules, otherwise you risk getting banned and, according to amazon, drop shipping is allowed on their platform, but you must fulfill your goods from a legitimate wholesaler and not another retailer. now the following excerpt is actually taken verbatim from amazon's website. drop shipping, or allowing a third party to fill orders to customers on your behalf is generally acceptable. if you intend to fulfill orders using a drop shipper, you must always be the seller of record for your products, identify yourself as a sell of your products on all packing slips, invoices, external packaging and other info included or provided in connection. remove any packing slips, invoices, external packaging or other information identifying a third-party drop shipper prior to shipping the order, and be responsible for accepting and processing customer returns of your products. all right, so, with that definition in mind, here are examples of drop shipping that are not permitted: purchasing products from another retailer and having that retailer shipped directly to customers. if the shipment does not identify you as a seller of record or anyone other than you, then it's not permitted. you also cannot ship orders with packing slips, invoices, external packaging or other information indicating a seller name or contact information other than your own. as a result, the following ways to dropship on amazon are illegal: drop shipping from aliexpress to amazon: this is when you list a product on amazon and aliexpress does the fulfillment. drop shipping from ebay to amazon is also illegal. this is when you list a product on amazon and fulfill from ebay. in fact, the only legitimate way to run a reputable drop shipping business on amazon is to use a distributor or wholesaler as your dropship supplier. now, all shipments must be branded, with you as a seller of record, and you must remove any trace of drop shipping providers in your packing materials. in addition, amazon requires all drop ship sellers to abide by their strict code of conduct. if you consistently violate any of the following rules, you are subject to a suspension. your order defect rate must be less than one percent, your cancellation rate must be less than two point five percent and your late shipment rate must be less than four percent. now, if your drop ship supplier consistently ships products out late, then you risk getting your account banned. so how do you land your first drop shipping supplier? well, if you're looking for legit dropship suppliers, consider using the following methods. you can contact the distributor directly. every product sold online contains a upc barcode, and by looking up the manufacturer directly and contacting the distributor, you can ask whether they have a drop shipping program in place. you can also attend wholesale trade shows. everywhere in the world, there are wholesale trade shows catering to products in every category, and by attending a trade show. you can quickly and easily find dropship wholesalers all in one place. you can use a site like wholesalecentralcom to find trade shows in your area. you can also use a dropship directory, directories like worldwide brands, pre-vet, legit wholesale distributors that offer dropshipping. now, access to this directory comes at a one-time fee. now here are a list of questions that you must ask your drop ship supplier before you get started. are there any drop ship fees? drop shipping margins are very low and typically fall into the 10 to 30 percent range. on top of low margins, most drop ship suppliers will also charge a per order drop ship fee. now, this drop shipping fee can range anywhere from a couple bucks or more, depending on your product. in addition, you will have to pay the shipping and handling costs for the supplier to ship out your product to the end customer. now some drop shippers may pad their shipping fees to make additional margin on the transaction, so make sure you run the numbers to ensure that you can still make a profit after all drop shipping fees. are there any deposits or upfront payments required? some dropship suppliers will ask for a deposit towards future product orders upfront, but over time, as trust is established, you can often negotiate payment terms and have this deposit removed, but regardless, make sure you ask your supplier how they want to get paid. some require an invoice for every order, while others allow you to create one mass payment invoice at the end of the day. ask for a sample invoice so you can find out if there are any hidden or unexpected costs. do your homework. you also want to ask: do you sell on amazon? because some dropship suppliers are already selling their products on amazon, which puts your drop shipping business at a major disadvantage because your supplier has better pricing than you do. it's going to be difficult, if not impossible, to compete directly with your supplier. you also want to ask what your return policy is. returns are reality with any ecommerce business and you need to know how to get your money back for any returned orders. now, in practike, it can be quite an ordeal to handle return, and typically you'll have to file an rma with your supplier first and then have the customer ship the product back to your supplier directly, and then, once the product is received, your supplier then reserves the right to provide you with a refund, depending on the condition of the item. you also want to ask whether they provide an inventory data feed. because amazon's selling requirements are so strict, you have to make sure that your inventory levels are up to date in real time. after all, if you sell a bunch of items on amazon that are out of stok, you will have to cancel those orders and risk your account getting suspended and, in general y.

I Tried Dropshipping With $0 For 30 days

have you ever wondered if it's possible to become a millionaire with Drop Shipping, for a million dollars, millions of dollars from Drop Shipping? well, I know for a fact it's possible, because I went from a high school dropout to making over 1.5 million dollars in a year. by the time I was age 21.. and to show you that it's still possible today, I created a brand new Drop Shipping Store using zero dollars and I'm sharing the entire process transparently now. we just officially ended our first full month in business and we had a lot of ups and we had a lot of downs and, honestly, this reminded me of how hard it is to get your first business off the ground. so while a lot of people are going to be watching this video and impressed with the sales that I've gotten, just realize that this isn't an overnight success. this has been the last five years of me dedicating myself to this craft and I don't want this video to come across showing off. I know there's a lot of gurus out there who try to highlight how easy Drop Shipping is, and we both know these guys are not Drop Shipping, so just know that I'm gonna always keep 100 with you guys. now, any good Drop Shipping Store starts with a good product. I don't care how good your website is or how good your ads are, so I couldn't just find any product. to be successful in this challenge, I needed to find a product that matched the criteria of a winning product. usually when I am picking a product to sell, there's a few things that I look at. obviously, profit margin- if we don't have a good profit margin, then there's no way we're gonna ever be successful. and another piece of criteria that I think is important is that the product actually makes people's lives easier. so to locate this problem-solving product, I ended up going on tiktok and looked up hashtag. tiktok made me buy it and, honestly, I had to browse sometime to find something decent. but I knew we had found a winner when I found a tik tok post with literally hundreds of people asking where they could find the product and the video only had about a thousand likes at this point. now, honestly, this was kind of suspicious- a post with only about a thousand likes to have this many comments of people wanting to know where to buy the product- and I thought this was a great opportunity. hundreds of people were looking to buy this product and they didn't have someone to fulfill that demand. so I built a website on Shopify and I started my journey trying to get this brand sales using zero dollars Capital. now, I only really had one opportunity to become successful with this store, since our budget was zero dollars in order for us to create a profitable business. it meant attracting customers to our website without spending any money. now, this meant that the standard avenues for advertising, like Facebook ads, were completely out of the question, but what was possible was for us to create tiktok and Instagram real content completely organically and try to get the post viral so customers can see our product. so for the last 30 days, I spent a ton of time creating content and it actually went pretty well. so I want to go over the results and how much money we're able to make. so this challenge started on August 16th. this was our first day in business and I ended up posting up only one single tik tok on this day and, yes, I did not get any sales. this was definitely a stressful day for me. I was creating a brand new business from scratch again and, honestly, day two felt pretty similar. we made zero dollars in sales and I spent hours of our time and we weren't able to even manage to get one single sale, so I was feeling pretty disappointed around this time. but day three, things started to pick up. day three, on August 18th, I managed to get our very first sale, and this was when I realized that we were on to something. so I got super stoked and excited about creating this brand. so I ended up doubling down. on the 19th, I created two pieces of content, but unfortunately we were only able to get one sale for 56 dollars. and then the day after that, on the 20th, we were only able to get one sale again, even though I was posting more content now. up into this point, we had gotten zero sales from tiktok. our tiktoks were doing terrible, but our Instagram reels were actually getting to push out, so this was a good sign. we're getting a few thousand views on our Instagram reels, but for some reason we weren't able to crack into tiktok yet. now, day six was a super exciting day. we managed to get three sails for a total of 270 dollars, and this made me feel like we could really take this brand to whatever height we wanted to grow it to, and this brought me down a path of switching our content up. I started to focus on More Story based content, and this started to work really well. we were able to wrap the first week up at a total of 785.93, which personally I thought was a really good start to this challenge. I was feeling super excited and optimistik that this store could grow to a store that does six figures a month. so I really wanted to double down to get the best results we could in this Challenge, and that's also when I set a goal of trying to to make one thousand dollars in a single day throughout this Challenge, and this brought us into week two. on day one of week two, we ended up doing 159 dollars, and day two ended up being another Super solid day. we did 299 dollars in sales this day, which got me feeling really good. we were able to hit some consistent results at this point, and at this point we had generated over one thousand dollars in sales. and the best part about this is, since we weren't spending money on ads, almost 75 percent of the revenue was profit. day three of week two, we had a pretty similar day, and then, day four of week two, I started ramping up the content. I realized that our posts were doing well, but maybe we needed more volume. so on day four of week two, we managed to hit our best day yet at 364 dollars, which was a really good sign. we're almost 40 percent to our 1K a day goal. and then, day five, we managed to smash that record at 399 overall. during week two, we managed to get over two thousand dollars in sales, which meant for this two-week period we had done over two thousand and seven hundred dollars, and I already created a video covering up to this point. if all this sounds familiar. but what I'm about to get into is week three and week four, which ended up being a total twist, and I think it's gonna be something really exciting for everyone. going into week three, I was definitely nervous because we hadn't hit the goal that we set out for this challenge yet and while we were getting results, I wanted to show people that this business is really possible and that we can hit some big numbers. so I was seriously stressed to continue to create the best content that I could, and it ended up being a pretty stressful week. but here's how it ended up. going as far as sales, on day three of week one- such a disappointing day- we managed to get zero sales, but honestly, it felt like it was about time we stopped getting great holds. it seemed like everything was going pretty easy in the beginning of this challenge, so the fact that we weren't facing turbulence just meant that we weren't pushing hard enough. so the fact that I didn't get any sales today, I kind of just dismissed it and decided I'm just gonna keep pushing on. now, on day two of week three, we actually did end up getting a sale, but unfortunately we also did have a refund. so that's why we only made 14.99 on this day, which is just pretty natural. sometimes customers will end up ordering something and they'll want their money back, so we just gave them their money back. we're not going to worry about that and we're just gonna hold. day three is more successful. unfortunately, it wasn't and we managed to do zero dollars in sales yet again. so for this three day period, we had literally only made about 14.99 and I was feeling really bummed out at this point. I thought that maybe the store was over, maybe the product wasn't workin.

I Tried Dropshipping on Amazon For a Week (Complete Beginner)

so in this video, I'm gonna be taking you through my experience of drop shipping on Amazon for a whole week. I'm gonna be completely transparent. in this video, I'm only showing exactly what I have listed, exactly how much I got it for and how much money I make. I mean even gonna go through the exact numbers of what they did in sales and, more importantly- and something that rarely ever gets shown in all these guru videos- that's exactly how much profit I make. obviously, if I'm spending a hundred thousand dollars a month to make a hundred thousand dollars a month, that's worth nothing and in e-commerce we call that vanity numbers and that's really just for sale. sometimes you just see these entrepreneurs making a hundred thousand, fifty thousand dollars a month, but you never actually find out how much actual profit are they making. so in this video, I'm gonna be breaking down all the numbers: exactly why I spent, how much everything cost me and how much did I actually take home after all the sales were done, and then I'm gonna be telling exactly what the mistakes I made, how can you learn from this mistakes and if this may be something that you would like to start for yourself. so make sure you stik around for the entire video to learn exactly what I went through, so that you can get a better idea what actually is drop shipping on Amazon. and, guys, if you're looking forward to this video, I won't need you to do one thing for me right now, and that's scroll down, hit that like button to make sure that this video gets pushed to a greater, wider audience so that it can possibly help them to. for those new to the channel, my name is Joe Igor. I've been doing e-commerce and specifically, drop shipping for the past three years now. I've been doubled in all sorts of businesses online, so make sure that you subscribe to this channel so that you can see more videos in the future. and okay, let's get into this video straightaway. [Music]. let me start by saying, just as this game, all the things expressed in this video, of my own opinion. they could or might not be correct. I might be completely wrong. this is just my opinion and my experience of what I've done, so make sure that you take that with a grain of sand. what the actual hell. as a kid, I used to buy things and sell them on eBay for a profit and flip them just to make a couple of pounds here and there. well, I had come across a different model, the dropship in model. and for you, those who don't know what the dropship in modeler is exactly, you basically list products online that you find from suppliers just like your local grocery stores, like Walmart, Best Buy and things like that. you list it directly on that website and when someone buys that, you go to the supplier, you enter in their details and you get it sent directly to them. so you never actually house the inventory, you never even see it. basically, you act as a middleman. you just list it on there and when it sells, you buy it and you keep the spread of the difference between your sale price and what you actually boy for. so the first thing I had to do- because I had no clue how to do it- was to do some research. so I started youtubing videos. I ended up watching hours and hours and hours of content, but the craziest thing is that they never showed me how to actually do it. they toked about: are you gonna find the products and you have to list them, and then you make the money this way, but they never show you if you know is how to actually do them. so I was kind of confused. I thought about buying a couple of courses but saw the ones that like a thousand dollars. eventually I sell for one that was two hundred ninety seven dollars and I bought that. so right from the get-go I was down two hundred ninety seven dollars in costs. the next thing I needed to do was separate Amazon seller account, which cost another $39.99. so at this point, you know, I was nearly three hundred dollars hurried down into this experiment. but that was fine because I was hopeful that I would make money in doing this. so after a couple of hours of watching this course, I think it exactly how to do everything. it still seemed a bit iffy. a few things kind of just didn't make sense, but I was just gonna go and jump in for it. so the first thing I needed to do was find products and list them on Amazon. so back in my eBay days it was pretty easy to find items that you could probably sell profitably on eBay. this was not the case for Amazon. as I soon found out, it took a lot longer to find products that you could actually make money on. you actually have to do a lot, of, lot of research, and this includes the first step of finding items that are not in Prime. you can do this, I found out, by downloading a google extension called primal way or various different other ones. so once you download that, you can go straight on to the Amazon page and you can find items that are not prime sellers. the next thing is to go through and figure out which ones are not sold by FBA or by Amazon either, because you do not want to compete with them. always you could be facing possible suspensions and you probably won't get honestly, even make probably a profit on it, because you can't compete with people and FBA, you see, on margins. so after about three hours I finally came across my first product, the first product that I could make money off. I think it was around three dollars and 23 cents. and what did I find? I found a Swiffer, a special type of Swiffer that I could make some money on. so I listed that straightway, hopeful that I would make some sales on that. so waiting for my money to come in. problem was by Devin- I had only listed one product- this was taking away than I ever thought it- and eBay. it was fairly straightforward: you could just find sellers that already selling good products, find out where that is and then list that too and compete with them. Amazon not as easy. de - I did a lot more research in. I researched for another couple hours- find products that could make on. I kept switching between different categories to see if that would help. still took a long time, and I think that's just the nature of the game. this one, in this business model. you don't look for, I guess, a you know quantity, you look for quality, and that's the name of the game. so by the end of day 2 I had found another two products that I could sell. it was a stepladder and of coffee machine. the craziest thing here, which I didn't think would actually work, is that the coffee machine that I found online and that I actually found later and warmer, I could get an $18 profit margin on it. so for me, I thought that there must be something wrong with it. probably won't sell, but let's just list it in case, because I've been so for three hours now. I'm so done. so let's just list this and get this going. so day three comes up. I wake up in the morning, check my emails and I made a bunch of cells. I can't believe it. I mean three hundred and eleven dollars and cells in one night. and guess what? the Swiffer was doing me right, because I had sold that thing over five times and it was making me money already five times. I already made fifteen dollars just by sleeping overnight. so I started searching again. I saw looking up different items, and guess what? I found another two items that I could list and make money on. one was some sort of like weird tube piping for washing machines and the other one was this filter that you could put in your AC unit. so in each of those I can make a couple of dollars profit and I thought it would be good, and then I would be on my way to being a six-figure Amazon seller. day four. so I started picking up by crazy. I started getting emails and emails and emails that these things were just selling, and the best thing that happened was the coffee machine was selling. I was making $18 profit per copy machine and the thing was just selling like crazy, just kept selling and selling. I honestly had to mute my email. so I kept making so many sells. I thought, wow, this is great, nothing can go wrong. this is where it happened, my first big mistake. so

The UGLY Truth About Dropshipping That No Guru Will Tell You

in this video, i'm going to answer the most commonly asked questions about drop shipping, including the questions that most people won't give you a straight answer on. so here's the ugly truth about drop shipping. now, drop shipping has a reputation for being a get rich quick scheme because it sounds way too easy: you don't need to store inventory, you don't need to ship or fulfill orders, you don't need much money to get started and you can run a dropship store from anywhere in the world. now, while all these statements are tiknically true, a common misconception is that running a successful dropship store is easy. but in reality, success with drop shipping has many pros and cons and isn't as straightforward as you are led to believe. so in this video, i answer all the in-depth questions related to drop shipping to provide you with a complete view of what it takes to run a profitable dropship store. now, what is drop shipping? drop shipping is an ecommerce business model where an online store does not carry inventory for the products it sells. when an order is made, the online store purchases the products from a wholesale supplier, who then ships the order directly to the end customer. so, as a result, the online store owner does not have to deal with physical inventory or perform any shipping and handling. there are no upfront inventory cost because all products are purchased on demand. now is drop shipping legal and legit? it is 100 legal as long as you use legitimate dropship suppliers. so, for example, if you sell disney merchandise on your online store and your supplier dropship's fake disney merchandise on your behalf, you could be liable for fraud. as long as you're careful about who you work with and only use officially licensed distributors for the brands you carry, drop shipping is legit and safe. now, does it require a seller's permit and a business license? well, in the us, you absolutely need a seller's permit in order to legally sell online. now, most states require you to charge sales tax to customers where you have economic nexus, and drop shipping is no exception. if your locality requires a business license, then you must get a business license as well. remember, drop shipping is simply a method of order fulfillment. your drop shipping business is a real business and must be registered as such. now, how profitable is drop shipping? well, because your supplier is doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to fulfillment and inventory. the margins for drop shipping are much less than other e-commerce business models, so typical margins for drop shipping are between 10 and 30 percent, compared to 50 to 66 percent for private label and traditional wholesale, which makes drop shipping far less profitable. now, the best products of drop ship are higher tiket items that yield more revenue per sale. now is drop shipping worth it? well, despite the low margins, drop shipping can be a great way to get started selling online. for less than three bucks, you can start a fully featured ecommerce business that carries hundreds of products, and drop shipping is worth it for product research as well. without any upfront risk, you can list many products online just to see what sells and then, based on your own sales data, you can private label or carry inventory for your best selling products and keep more of the profit. now the best part is that drop shipping can be automated, except for the customer service. now, most established drop shipping suppliers support edi, which stands for electronic data interchange. edi is an electronic system that allows your website and your suppliers website inventory to automatikally stay in sync. so, for example, if your supplier runs out of stok on a partikular product, your website's inventory will automatikally be adjusted. in addition, all orders placed on your website are automatikally transmitted to your drop shipper for fulfillment. however, even though order fulfillment is automated, you are still responsible for answering questions and performing customer service. now here's how drop shipping from your own website works. now, if you use a well-supported e-commerce platform like shopify, bigcommerce or woocommerce, setting up drive shipping is a straightforward process. here's exactly how you drop ship from your own website and how it works. a customer places an order on your site and you accept payment. the customer's order is electronically transmitted to your drop chip supplier, where you are charged the agreed upon wholesale price for your goods. your drop ship supply then ships the order to the end customer and you pocket the difference in cost as profit. now you don't have to drop ship on your website. you can also drop ship on amazon, and here's how amazon drop shipping works. you list your products or sell on amazon as a merchant fulfilled seller, and then, when an order is placed on amazon, you electronically send the order to your drop ship supplier, who then ships the products to the end customer. now, overall, amazon drop shipping is a much riskier business model than drop shipping from your own site, because you have to follow amazon's terms of service to the letter. first off, you must source your products from a legit wholesaler. you are not allowed to drop ship your products from another marketplace like aliexpress, ebay or walmart, otherwise you're going to get banned as a result. aliexpress drop shipping on amazon is expressly prohibited. amazon also imposes very strict requirements for shipping and fulfillment that must be met. if you have a series of late shipments or inventory mishaps, your account's going to get banned. but outside of following amazon's terms of service, drop shipping on amazon works much the same as drop shipping on your own website. you can also drop ship on ebay. you simply list your products for sale as an auction or store listing and then, when an order is placed, you electronically notify your supplier who fills the order and similar to amazon. you must source your products from legit dropship suppliers and not marketplaces like amazon or walmart, otherwise you're going to get banned. so, as a result, get rich quick. schemes like buying products from amazon and drop shipping them on ebay at higher prices is prohibited. now you're probably wondering how drop ship payments work. well, when you sign up with a drop shipping supplier, you'll be asked for a form of payment and typically you can pay by credit card. your supplier keeps your credit card on file and simply charges your card when an order is placed. you can also use ach or direct transfer. this is where your supplier keeps your bank information and automatikally places a transaction at the end of the day, week or month for all products purchased. the best way to pay a drop ship supplier is through payment terms. some suppliers will offer you payment terms, which means that you don't have to pay for your products until 30 or 60 days later. now, whenever an order is placed on your website, two payment transactions occur in the background. the first transaction takes place when you accept payment from your customer and deposit the money into your own bank account. the second transaction takes place when you pay your supplier for the raw cost of goods and any related drop ship fees. now where do you find drop shipping suppliers? there are four main ways to find suppliers. depending on your budget and the types of products that you want to sell, and by paying a fee, you can perform a search and instantly have access to hundreds of pre-vetted suppliers. you can also use a drop shipping company. a drop ship company acts as a middleman who automatikally connects you to a dropship supplier. you simply list the products that the dropship company offers and they handle the entire fulfillment process. as a result, you do not have to find or interact with any suppliers. you can also go to a drop shipping trade show. by attending local wholesale and drop shipping trade shows, you can form drop shipping arrangements face to face. you can also use a print-on-demand com.

Why I quit Amazon FBA After 30 Days - Retail Arbitrage

Let me tell you how I was able to open a successful Amazon FBA store as a 15-year old that generated over $4,000 in revenue in the first 30 days while only using my bike, and let me show you how you can do the same thing. I'm not lying and will break down all of the numbers later, but let me tell you why I think you shouldn't do this. This all started a little more than a month ago. I was watching YouTube and came across a video where a person toked about how they drop-shipped from Walmart to amazon successfully. If you don’t know what dropshipping is, it’s where you find an item on a website like Walmart that, for example, costs $2.98,. then you find that same item on a website like amazon and sell that item that you can get on Walmart for $2.98 for $14.99.. Then, when someone buys that item on Amazon, you go to Walmart and buy that item directly to the buyer’s address. You effectively don’t have to keep an inventory of your products and all you do is find the products and keep the difference when someone buys. This immediately intrigued me, but after doing more research, I discovered that dropshipping is against amazon's terms of service, so that ruled out any chance of me trying it. I was still intrigued by the idea and found out that if I bought the item from Walmart and sent it to myself, then sent it to the customer, that was perfectly “LEGAL”, based off of amazon's terms of service. Knowing if I found one or two good products that I could make thousands of, I spent a few hours searching for products manually, with no luck. I then remembered that I can code in python. I spent the next 2 or so weeks every day writing software that would compare amazon and Walmart prices to find products. Long story short, the software worked, but I never ended up using it. Somewhere along the way of my coding, I came across a video from the channel “Reezy Resells”. His videos introduced the concept of Retail Arbitrage to me. This is when you go into physical retail stores and go to clearance isles and find products that are marked down enough for you to make a profit selling on amazon. I was actually on vacation in Florida when I found out about this concept, so I spent the next multiple days watching videos about retail arbitrage on youtube from other creators. I also spent this time figuring out what I needed to start like software such as Inventory Labs and Keepa. When I got home, the fun begun. I went into Target and started scanning, but with no luck. I found things that had profit, but none that I was allowed to sell. I called it a day and went home. The next day I tried Marshalls and struck gold, or so I thought. I found these Hydrapak water bottles that were selling at marshalls for $12.99 and amazon for $39.99. I bought every single one they had on the shelf. I continued to find a few more products throughout the following days. On amazon, you are restricted in selling a lot of categories when you start off as a new seller, and this was a big problem I was facing. I was constantly finding things to sell that had a good return on investment, but I wasn't allowed to sell them due to amazon restricting me. I watched youtube tutorials on how to remove these restrictions and came across the website “The Funnel Guru” that claimed to un resttrict any seller in any category and brand. I chose the “Topicals, Toys, Grocery” category and I paid the website “$997” in bitcoin. I also paid an extra 200$ for them to unrestrict me. in a day, Little did I know this would be the worst decision I could have made. A few days passed by and they sent a request to amazon for me to get ungated. thankfully, it was denied and the website refunded me my money. I will explain later why this was the best thing that could have happened. While watching these videos on how to get un restricted, I also saw that you can get un restricted by buying from a wholesaler and submitting an invoice to amazon. I applied to multiple wholesale websites and got accepted to one called “Frontier Coop”. I placed an order for some Burt's bees, chapstik and tea to get ungated in “Burt's Bees”, “Topicals” and “Grocery”. The total order cost was $119.00.. The order came in a week later and I submitted the invoices to amazon and crossed my fingers. To my surprise, I was ungated. I now was able to sell things in the grocery and makeup section. this opened up a huge world of opportunities for me. This is also about the time my first amazon shipment reached amazon and was processed by Amazon. I was starting to see sales and, most importantly, profits. I was now coming to my local marshalls every day that I had free time after school. I also upgraded my in-store product scouting methods by buying a barcode scanner and an iPad. I was scanning hundreds of items per hour and finding alot of products. at this point. This is also about the time I found my best selling item, which was this: a microfiber hair towel. I bought it for $6.99 and sold it for $22.00.. I found 23 of them and bought them all. Keep in mind I was doing all of this on an electric bike and the distance from the marshalls to my house was 2 miles. The towels were all sold within the same day. I listed them. that day alone, I was able to hit 500$ in sales. This was huge for me. I realized that if I was able to find a few products like this from stores like Target that I can restok, I could be selling hundreds of dollar a day. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything else like this. After this happened, I decided I would focus on products that I could replenish, which means products that I can continually buy over and over for the same price. I decided to pay $69 a month to join a group chat that shares different finds like this with each other. This was also my second biggest mistake. Most of the things shared in this group are not helpful at all. Whenever someone would share an item they found, the other people in the group would start to sell it and, because of supply and demand, the price would end up tanking and you in turn would end up loosing money. It's possible that I didn't try enough, but I would say not to join any of these groups for the first couple of months of selling. This also leads to the first replenishable product. I found that I am still selling, so I can show you what it is. but I can tell you what I make from them. I buy the product for$ 6.99 flat. I then sell it for $22.99.. I make around an 8$ profit and sell multiple a day. That’s without listing optimization and I expect this to rise to 10 per day within the next few months. Thats $2,400 a month from one product. This leads me to why I'm stopping. this issue for me with Retail arbitrage is that it's not scalable. You have to put time into going out and sourcing to make money. It's not a get rich quick scheme or even a get rich scheme. This is because the amount of profit you make is proportional to the amount of time you put in. I prefer something that I can put time into once and simply maintain for an hour once a week. If you are thinking of starting a retail arbitrage store, you need to know that this business strategy does require real dedication of time, and it's just something that I can’t commit to with school. Now to the part you have all been waiting for: how much money I made? The simplest way possible to break it down would be Revenue, Cost of goods, FBA fees and selling fees, And if we do the math like this, we can see that in a month we have sold $3,912 in products and after all fees, we have profited over a thousand. This puts us at 75% return on investment. This is where most youtubers would stop, but this does not take alot of expenses into account, the biggest one being subscriptions. They will completely kill your profit t Now, if we look at the chart that accounts for expenses, we can see that the numbers are alot less appealing. I had $330 dollars in expenses and that took our return from investment from 75% down to 53%. Let's break down the hourly pay becau.

Amazon Dropshipping | How to Dropship on Amazon (Step by Step for Beginners)

amazon drop shipping- how to drop ship on amazon step by step for beginners. hi guys, welcome back to the channel, and for today's video i will show you a quick tutorial on how you can start your drop shipping business on amazon, step by step. so, without further ado, let's get into it. so first you need to visit the website amazoncom and you need to create or sign up for a new account. so to sign up, you just need to provide your email and then you verify your email. once you're done, then you can log in to your amazon account. so this is my amazon account. this is the main dashboard, and over here you can see all the products here inside amazon- and everyone knows amazon, and you have 100 thousands of customers here- so means there is a high possibility that the product that you will be listing here will be sold and you will be earning profit from here. so if you are not familiar with drop shipping, so let me go ahead and discuss to you the drop shipping method. but before you can start your drop shipping, the first thing that you need to do is to look for a product that you want to sell, so you need to do product research and after the product research, you need to look for a supplier. so once you have the product to sell- so this is not the drop shipping model- so once you have your product listed inside the amazon, then you will be getting a customer that will buy your product that you added inside the amazon and your customer will place order from amazon and pays you the retail price that you set inside the amazon store. for example, you price your product for two hundred dollars inside the amazon- that is your store- and then you forward your order to your supplier and you just pay your supplier for 150 dollars for that product and with that you will ask your supplier to directly ship the product to your customers address. so with that, once your customer received the order, you will be getting the 50 profit. this is the difference between the retail price that you set inside the amazon and the price that you pay from your supplier, which is only 150 dollars. so that's how the drop shipping model works here. so again, the first thing that you need to do to start your drop shipping business is to do your product research so you can go to google and look for the product that you want to sell, and you need to make sure that these products that you will be adding to amazon are popular product or this is the product that everyone is looking for for this month or for this season. for example, for the month of november and december, the product that sold the most are christmas decor products. so on that season, november to december- you need to sell christmas decor products for you to get a lot of profit. so you just need to search here in google if what are the christmas decor product that you can sell, and once you have the uh product, then you just need to look for a supplier. so your supplier can be alibaba. so these are the known suppliers online: a real chinese multinational tiknology company, the alibaba. and you can also- let me go to google again and search for aliexpress. aliexpress is also known as online retail service based in china and it's also owned by alibaba group. but there are some products that are cheaper inside aliexpress compared to alibaba, and also there are some products that is more cheaper in alibaba than aliexpress. you just need to look for these two suppliers here for your product that you want to sell inside the amazon. so you just need to look for a supplier that can ship the product directly to your customers online, and there's a lot of supplier here online that you can contact and use for the product that you want to sell inside the amazon. so once you have your product and you have your supplier, then you just need to go to amazon again, and over here you have this option, which is the sell. so just click here for you to apply. so here, become an amazon seller. so more than half the units sold in our stores are from independent sellers, so you can be one of the independent sellers. so you just need to sign up here for you to start. so here you have your information. here. here is what you expect if you will become a seller here inside the amazon, and these are the things that you need for you to set up or to apply as their seller. so you need to provide a valid government- you should id or passport, and then your recent bank account or credit card statement, your chargeable credit card and your mobile phone. so here you just need to provide your information and document and then they will verify your submission and once you get verified, you can now start selling. so you can just hit this one here: begin to start your application. so once you're verified as seller, you can now start adding your product and to add a product you need to make sure that you have a high quality product image to add here inside the amazon for you to attract your customers. if the photo from online is not clear, then you can just direct message your supplier and ask for a clear or high quality image of their product for you to display or add here inside the amazon. and also another tip for you to get more sales inside the amazon is the use of the keyword. so you need to make sure that you will be using keywords in your product description or in your product title. these keywords are the product name that most of the people here are buyer inside the amazon search here in this search box. so, for example, for the christmas decor, let me just go ahead and search for christmas. so, as you can see here, these are the keywords: christmas night, christmas decoration, christmas three, christmas decor, christmas 3 storage bag and more. you can also find more keywords here inside the pinterest. so pinterest is a good software to use for you to find the right keywords that you need to use in your product title or in your product description, because most of the information here inside the pinterest are keywords or word that most of your target customers are using when they search for product online. so, for example, i will be clicking here the christmas lights. as you can see here, they also have keyword here for holiday decoration: christmas three lights, holiday party and wedding party or lights. so once you have the order, you just need to create your order list and then you will send this order list to your supplier and you will ask your supplier to directly ship this products to your customers address and with their customers name. so that's how drop shipping works. so there's need for you to get a storage place to store all your product and there's need for you to purchase the product from supplier and send it to your customer. you will be like a middle man between your supplier and your customer. so i guess that's all for today's video and thank you so much for watching.
