Let's Drive More Leads and Sales with Display Campaigns!

Are you looking to drive more leads and sales with your Google Ads campaigns? If so, setting up display campaigns can be a great way to achieve your goals. In this article, we'll walk you through the process of setting up a display campaign and share some tips to help you optimize your targeting and ad creative.

1. Difference Between Display and Discovery:

Before we dive into the details of setting up a display campaign, let's talk about the difference between display and the relatively new thing called Discovery. While they run in very similar places and the ads look quite similar as well, the main difference is that Discovery ads can show up in the Discovery feed on Android devices. Additionally, you don't want to run Discovery ads until you have conversion tracking set up on your site.

2. Setting Up Your Campaign:

To get started, click on the blue plus button in your Google Ads account and select new campaign. For the first time, we recommend selecting create campaign without goals or guidance to maximize your options. Then, select display instead of Discovery, and set up your conversion events. Give your campaign a name and click start new.

3. Targeting Your Ads:

To determine where your ads will be sent, select the locations you want to target. As a general rule of thumb, you want to segment your targeting one level deeper, so select states or territories within the countries you are targeting. Then, select your preferred language.

4. Ad Rotation and Schedule:

For ad rotation, choose between optimizing your ads or rotating them evenly to determine which is performing best. Set a start and end date for your campaign to avoid overspending or forgetting to turn off your ads.

5. Bidding and Targeting:

Start with a budget of $5-$10 per day and choose between targeting conversions or setting a manual cost per click. For ad targeting, use one targeting per ad group and start with in-market targeting.

Setting up a display campaign can help you drive more leads and sales for your business. By following these tips and optimizing your targeting and ad creative, you can maximize your ROI and achieve your goals.
