How To Build A Dropshipping Website With No Money (Online Shell Site 2022)

alright, guys, welcome back to the channel. my name is Jason from dropshipping University. this episode is going to be awesome. I'm gonna teach you guys how you can actually start your own website in 20 or 30 minutes. I'm gonna walk you through every step of the way: how you can start your own website for zero dollars. we're not going to be using Shopify, Wix, WordPress, none of the major website builders. I found a free program that you guys can use today and it's really simple, straight to the point, and what it will do is it will get you your own website- your own shell website, as I like to call it- something- to provide a wholesale distributor or a wholesale supplier when they ask you if you have a retail storefront online, and that's the information that we're gonna give them. I'm going to be very strategic about this. I'm going to teach you exactly what I would do if I had not had my own Shopify site, and I had to do this with $0. so there's gonna be a really cool episode. if you guys could take a second to like, comment and subscribe to this channel, I'd really appreciate it. just click that Bell notification if you subscribe, because that's the only way that you can get notifications. with that said, we're gonna get right into this. all right, so here we are, inside of my computer and, real quickly, before we dive headfirst into this, I want to let you guys know the real purpose of why we would want to have a shell website, or just this website in general, to make sure that you guys can get set up with your wholesale supplier a lot easier. one of the major components that a wholesale supplier is going to ask in the wholesale application or on the phone when they're vetting you out as a reseller- is they're going to ask you if you have proof of a domain or a proof of an online retail store, and the best way to do that is obviously by having a domain, something that is linked to your brand, and this is how you're going to have to do it. it's either going to have to be through one of the major website builders like Shopify, Wix, woke, immerse- there's tons of them out there- or we can use other software, which is a little more rudimentary, and that's what I'm going to be teaching you in this episode. it's a little bit more basic, there's a lot less things that you can do with it, but the point is is that it will serve as a website builder and it's completely free and it will still do the job okay. so when you're actually getting set up with a wholesale supplier, they're not really going deep into your website. they're not going through checkout, they're not going in checking all the products and seeing where you're getting the products from. they're not going deep into all of the pages. so we're going to just do the most important parts of website building in this episode and this will get you guys set up when you are trying to get a wholesale application. if you guys haven't seen the wholesale application episode that I recently put up, it's going to be above or over here somewhere. there's a little I they'll come across and that will be a link to that episode. if you haven't seen that one, you should check that out because that will put this more into context. you'll get a better idea, a better feel for the reason for this and I would say, based on my own personal experience with getting wholesale suppliers, about 70 to 75% of them will actually ask or require you to have a website and that's something that you need to direct them to when you're actually getting approved for a wholesale contract. so, with that said, I'm gonna get right into this right here. we have a website called war tribe, war tribe, gear calm, and this is actually a wholesale and retail supplier of everything to do with jujitsu: seal CDs. you'll see men, women, gi's, belts, all kinds of stuff for jujitsu. mainly, I think they have karate, a lot of that martial arts, mixed martial arts type of apparel. they're actually one of the biggest wholesale suppliers for mixed martial arts apparel, and the reason that I brought this company up was because I actually applied for a whole sense, a wholesale contract with them about 6 or 7 months ago and I didn't get approved. I got an email back from them about 4 or 5 days later saying sorry, we couldn't approve you based on the website that you supplied for us. it really doesn't fit the mold or the scope of what we're trying to sell, so sorry, we are declining your wholesale application. have a good day. pretty much so. I was actually pretty surprised because some of these companies don't really do a lot of do diligence and I still supplied them with my domain. but what they did was they went over to my home page and they checked out my website and obviously the website that I supplied them was not geared towards the same niche of products that they have on their website. so that led to a problem and they declined it. so, with that said, going forward, in the future, if I wanted to sell a product that is not related to what I have on my existing domain, my existing website, what I would have to do is put up a shell website. a shell website is just the mold of a website, the bare bones, a couple of products, maybe five to ten products and about Us page and a clean, clean homepage that you can put up in a short period of time to kind of show these suppliers that you are selling in their niche, even though you really aren't actively selling in that niche. but this will get you over the hump, over the hurdle of that whole sale agreement, and they'll check it out real quickly, real briefly, and they'll say, okay, looks like you're selling products that are related to this niche and we're gonna go ahead and approve you. and that's really one of the hardest parts of actually getting a wholesale approval. okay, so, with that said, we can go through their website if you guys want to take a chance. you know, look, look up this company. you know I'm not gonna go and resell their products. but this is just the example that I'm using for this video. we're gonna come over to this website called free webstore. okay, you can come over to sign up dot free webstore com. I'll just put a link down below. it's not gonna be an affiliate link, it's just gonna be a link for you guys to easily get there and just click get started right here. it's really nice because they walk you through the basic essentials of getting on-boarded with their company, with their, with their website builder. it's really nice. they have a bunch of designs that you can go through. if there's something that catches your eye, you can just go ahead and select that for the purposes of this video. I'm just gonna click this one, select design and now it wants us to get started with our name, email address and a pass. so select your theme. I'm gonna just go with blue. the pink looks a little girly- collect, okay. so customize design, personalized homepage. these are all kind of benchmarks that they want you to go through. one thing that's really cool that I like about this is that you can change your store URL. so, right here it has my name- my first and last name and then - my online store and if you click that, it'll just kind of bring you to a just a general preview and that's the theme that we selected, really basic, so you can actually change your store URL. you can click change right here on the right-hand panel, and I would suggest you either put a real domain name, go to go daddycom- there's a million places you can buy domains for like $10, $15 a year, get a domain that fits the scope of the products that you're trying to sell- or you can just change it to a free URL if you want to go down that route. so let's say that you know I was selling pants or something I don't know: pants store, ultimate pants store. let's go with that. ultimate pants store com. okay, it'll be. this is actually the live viewing of it, so once I click Save, that should also change and it takes a couple of seconds. we have an age verification part down here, as I said earlier, so we can- actually we can- change the store URL. so that's the store name and you can change the store URL.

of course, for those of you who are not aware yet, dropshipping is simply a business model where you can fulfill orders. you can have your own online store and sell anything that you want without actually holding them in stok. as soon as you get an order, you fulfill them by simply going to your suppliers website and purchasing the product and shipping it directly to your end customer. but with all of this, of course, we need high quality dropshipping suppliers where we can actually list their products and sell them on our online store, and we're also going to need a selling channel like ebay, shopify, wix, facebook marketplace and there's many others where you can actually host your online business. but the most important thing here- which is why you are watching this video- is how can we actually find the best suppliers and why is it important to have a good, high quality drop shipping supplier? well, for one, you're going to want to have a large product base. you don't only want to put all of your eggs in one basket and leave all of your work to one drop shipping supplier. if that drop shipping supplier ever lets you down, then you won't have anyone else to work with, and now your business will be in trouble. so we do not want to have a single point of failure, which is what we will have when we're only working with one supplier. so it's always a good idea to diversify and work with anywhere around three drop shipping suppliers at the same time, and that way, if one ever causes any problems- like chinese holidays and now they won't be here for two weeks- so then you're gonna go to your us suppliers or maybe just any other shipping delivery info- maybe they have some bad quality products which let some of your customers down, so you want to move over to someone else. there are many reasons why you'd want to switch and shift between different drop shipping suppliers until you learn which ones are best for your business. so let's get into it. what are some of the things that make a good drop shipping supplier? before you begin your search, you want to look for these features and benefits through your suppliers. so first, we want to make sure that we have fast shipping times, and this, of course, is very, very important, because you want to be able to deliver your products really quickly to your audiences. nobody today wants to wait two weeks, three weeks or anything above that to get their product as soon as someone places an order, they want to have it as soon as possible. if someone placed an order today, they want to have it delivered by yesterday, and that is the now in demand era that we live in, and there's nothing wrong with that because there are many high quality suppliers where we can actually get fast shipping from them. so, to provide the best customer service, to give our customers a very good experience through our stores, to make them remember our stores and remember our brand and come back for repeat purchases, we're going to deliver fast shipping times and that is what we're going to get when we're using high quality drop shipping suppliers who can also drop ship from into the same region that we are targeting. so, for example, if you want to drop ship to the uk audience, then you want to find uk suppliers that store their products in uk warehouses so you can ship quickly domestikally- and that goes also for any other region. so, fast shipping times. the second thing you want to look out for is high quality products. we don't want to sell a low quality products. we don't want our customers opening up returns every other item that we ship out and if we sell low quality products, if we don't even take a look at what we're selling, then we are going to get those returns and we will be dealing with customers who are not very happy with the quality of our products. so another great benefit that we're going to get from working with high quality suppliers is that we will have high quality products and we'll have a way to check the quality of the products without having to order it or have any physical contact with the product itself. the next thing you want to look out for in a drop shipping supplier is competitive prices. now there are a lot of suppliers out there and millions of products, and some of those products can be found through some of those drop shipping suppliers. the same exact product at different price ranges. so that is why you always want to go with the supplier who has the most competitive price point for that product, and that is another thing that we need to look out for when choosing our dropshipping supplier. for example, you can take a look at products on aliexpress and then find them on amazon at more expensive prices, and the reason for that is because that seller from aliexpress, or maybe a different seller, bought stok from that seller from aliexpress or alibaba or anywhere else, and they shipped it to amazon's warehouses, so that seller on amazon now needs to make a profit on top of what he bought it from- on aliexpress or alibaba or anywhere else, meaning the price on amazon is now going to be higher than where he bought it from, and you can use both of these suppliers as examples for those that you can work with in your drop shipping business. so in this case, you can ship the more expensive product from amazon from us warehouses or ship the cheaper version from aliexpress or alibaba, but it comes from china and it will take longer. we're going to get into all of that really soon. don't get confused yet. i'm just throwing in quick examples. next is product reviews, and this goes with high quality products, because these suppliers that we're going to be looking out for they have product reviews for their products on their website. so this gives you an early understanding or some type of insight on the quality of this product and if it's really matching its item description and if people are overall happy with this product that they purchased, because you're about to sell it also on your store and you want it to be of high quality. you want it to be a proven product that has been selling, that has a proven track record. so that is what we're gonna get when we have customer reviews on our suppliers websites. the next thing that we want to look out for is tracking information. some suppliers provide tracking information that you simply cannot track anywhere except for their website. so if you share with your customer that same tracking info, they won't really be able to do anything with it because they will not be able to track it. so you want to work with suppliers that have trackable tracking information, like ups, usps, fedex, dhl- many types of international tracking that's trackable, and more. you can track them on websites like 17tracknet and others, and we're also going to tok about that furt.

further ado, let's go ahead and jump right into it. as i'm sure you all know, aliexpress is not the most sustainable way to scale your online business, especially with the fact that it's taking 30 to 60 days in order to get the product to your customer. in my opinion, one of the only benefits of using aliexpress is when you're testing products. this is because there's a ton of sellers with all kinds of products that you're able to find and add to your store to quickly test and find out if it's going to be a winning product for you or not. but when it comes to finding that winning product and scaling using this platform will not be sustainable for your business at all. there is a couple other things that play into the reason of aliexpress not being the best platform to use for scaling a product outside of just the shipping times. a couple of those reasons is product and quality and communication. there are major variations between the suppliers, shipping times and product quality, so what that basically means is that it is a random game of product quality and how well your supplier is going to do when sourcing and shipping your product, and, as that is not enough of a hassle, it can take days to have a conversation with the suppliers, as they are likely in a different time zone as you, depending on wherever you live. so, with that being said, my one suggestion during this testing phase and using aliexpress is: make sure that you're doing supplier validation heavily. you should be looking for a 98 or a higher store rating, with a 4.7 rating or higher for the communication product as described and the shipping times along with that. you want to make sure that they have a couple hundred reviews and orders and have been in business for at least over a year to know that this is a supplier that you can at least test with and regardless of the fact that it can take days to hear a response. when you find a supplier that has what you're looking for, make sure that you still message them, start communication and make sure that it is someone that wants to help you grow. now i just want to reiterate that aliexpress is used solely for testing, and once you've found a product that is selling well for you, it's time to move on, to get those faster shipping times so that you can continue to grow and scale your business. so, with that being said, i'm going to recommend you two different sites that you can be using today to make sure that your customers are satisfied with your service and you're not getting angry emails and low feedback ratings that can ultimately give you a restriction very quickly. efficiency is everything for your customers today, especially with competing with platforms like amazon and other drop shippers in the space. customers like to have their product in a hurry, and these two suppliers can help you with exactly that. now, the first site that you can be using is cj drop shipping. cj drop shipping is just one of the top picks due to the fact that they have warehouses all around the world to ship to other countries. this is the ideal situation for local and worldwide drop shipping so that you can make sure that those shipping times are competitive and something that your customers are satisfied with. so if you're someone who is currently struggling with chargebacks and refunds because customers are unhappy with the shipping times, then cj dropshipping can really help you with these issues. many of you have heard of cj dropship and you may know their fulfillment center for any products that you might want to be selling, but you may not know all the benefits that can come from using them as a supplier, so let's go ahead and jump right into it. so here we are on cj drop shipping, and you can see they have a lot of products that you can sell and a lot of products that they can fulfill as well, and, honestly, this is just great because, just like aliexpress, they have almost everything that you can think of. so you could even start off with testing products with cj drop shipping and use that same supplier to scale up the products with even faster and better shipping. now, one of my favorite parts about cj drop shipping is that you're able to get faster shipping times at a lower cost. so let me just go ahead and show you an example of this. now i'm just going to pull up a product on aliexpress and, as you guys can see, i went ahead and chose a dog harness. if you guys have been drop shipping for a while, you know that this dog harness has been going absolutely crazy year after year and it's always a product that you can sell on aliexpress. you can see that we're going to get this item for 11.95. this is for the large variant, with free shipping being estimated. delivery of march 5th. now today is january 18. so this is almost 45 to 50 day shipping on this product if i go ahead and source it from aliexpress. but if we head over to cj drop shipping and we look for that exact same product, you can see that is three dollars and 81 cents for the large variant as well, with the shipping cost of six dollars and 23 cents, which gives us a total drop shipping price.

FREE List of US Dropshipping Suppliers For Your eBay, Amazon or Shopify Store

so there are lists out there of suppliers to use for your drop shipping business, but you need to know how to sort through that list or you might end up with a bad supplier. what's up everyone? paul here from dropshippingtitanscom, where i teach regular people just like you how to start your first successful drop shipping store, and one of the biggest struggles that i see new drop shippers face is the struggle of finding a good supplier to use. now there are a lot of free lists out there, but if you just choose a random supplier from that list, there's a really good chance they're not going to be a good fit for drop shipping or the type of drop shipping that you want to do. so it's better to do this and start on the right foot here. put in the research and the time up front to find the good suppliers. don't worry, in this video i'm going to show you exactly how to do it, so i'll show you the easiest method first. if you're looking to drop ship from other retail websites- what i'm toking about are websites like walmartcom- then i highly recommend that you use a software such as autods. this is what i use and what this will do. this will allow you to quickly list items onto ebay and if the price or stok changes on the retailer's website, it will automatikally change on ebay for you, and autods does that for you. now the really cool thing is that they tell you what suppliers they work with, and this is a really, really good place to start. this is your first list. so they have amazon here. that's not one that i recommend that you drop ship from, because what we've seen is that ebay doesn't like it. walmart is a really good supplier. they also have banggood, aliexpress, home depot, wayfarer, costco, overstok, costaway and china brands. so with that list, how do you know which ones to use? well, this is what i look for. i always look for suppliers that have really easy websites to work with, so walmart is a, for instance, probably the best example- very easy, simple website to use. i also look for fast shipping, and walmart definitely checks off that box or at least have consistent shipping speeds so that we always know how long it's going to take for the customer to get the item. also, we look for good customer service, and walmart definitely has that. so, coming back to this list, on auto ds, we see that they use walmart, which is a good choice. home depot fits all that as well. wayfair, costco, overstok costs way. all all good choices. now they have other ones here, like banggood, aliexpress and china brands. if you use those, you're going to be drop shipping from china. now. this is why i said in the beginning: you have to have a supplier that fits with the type of drop shipping that you want to do. now, personally, i advocate doing us-based suppliers because faster shipping, easier to do with returns and usually there's better customer service and higher quality. but that's not to say that drop shipping from china is wrong. you just have to make sure it fits your criteria and figure out what that is like. i've used banggood in the past, i've used aliexpress and i've used china brands and they're all fine. but personally i like having us-based suppliers. now, if you're deciding not to use retail websites to dropship from, then another choice for you would be to use wholesale suppliers. so the difference between retail and wholesale is that when you're doing retail, you're buying from another website. that means you're paying the retail price. with wholesale drop shipping, the benefit is that you're you're paying wholesale pricing, so your margins on the items you sell are going to be much higher than it would be with retail drop shipping. now, the drawback is that wholesale is not as easy to start up. that's why i said that this is best for beginners- just very simple and easy to start with wholesale. you have to form connections with these wholesale companies, get them to agree to dropship products for you now. luckily, there is a software for this called inventory source, and, by the way, i'll have links to both auto ds and inventory source under this video. but, quite honestly, inventory source is not a software that i personally use, even though i do do wholesale drop shipping, and that's primarily because it's so expensive to use them. i just found that it's much easier to do it manually for wholesale, because, with wholesale, the prices of the items don't change as often, and the stok levels don't change as often either, but it is free to sign up for an inventory source account. the only thing you'll get for free, though, is this list of suppliers that you could potentially use, and the list has 4 500 suppliers, so it's a huge list, but, just like before, we have to sort through these and find ones that fit our criteria. so, personally, i'm again looking for ones that are us-based, faster on the shipping, uh, hopefully have great customer service as well. those are the main things i look out for. there's a lot more of criteria that i look for. that i cover in my wholesale course, but for now we'll just look kind of for that. and the other thing i also avoid are aggregators. so there's this website here called us direct or doba, for instance. these are both aggregators and what that means is that you're not working directly with a wholesale supplier. instead, you are working with a company that brings in several other companies that are willing to drop ship and you only have to sign up for for one of these accounts. now that sounds good, because it sounds like you get access to a lot of suppliers. but in general, we have found that these don't work as well. for one thing, they charge you to use them, which i'm never. i'm pretty much against doing that, and i just found it's better to work directly with suppliers. so we do avoid these aggregators and for wholesale, we also definitely avoid chinese-based uh suppliers or anyone outside the united states. but this is one i've used right here, so let me show you why i liked this one and why this one checked off all the boxes for me. so i'm going to go ahead and open them up and i'm going to visit their website. so first i want to make sure that they are us-based and a really good place to look for all the information i'm going to tok about is either in the menu bar at the top or in the footer at the bottom, and here, the footer at the bottom bottom, we see that they are based in new jersey, so they're us-based. i also want to make sure that they are not an aggregator of any kind, and the best way to do that is just kind of see- i mean, they don't charge you any money to sign up. that's what i would look for, and also want to see if they're using multiple different suppliers. you can kind of click through the website to get that, get an idea of that, and by clicking through this one i don't see any indication that they are. the other thing that i look for is things like: do they do drop shipping? that's, that's a major one, and they specifically say: here they do drop shipping. it's right here. um, but another place i would look is down here at the bottom. let's see what they have. faq, let's check on that. is there a fee to be a reseller? no, again, that's something i look for: make sure there's no fee. um, let's search for the word drop ship. drop ship, blind drop shipping is not available, but that's okay. yeah, so they tok all about drop shipping here, so it is clear that they do it. um, it does say there's no drop ship fee, so that's that's important to know as well you they it doesn't. if they do charge a drop shipping fee, that's okay, as long as it's not too high. it's ideally. it's better if they don't. also, you want to make sure that there's no minimum order requirement, because there's no point in them drop shipping if they make you buy five or ten at a time. but over here we see that there's no minimum order, so that's checks off another box. and the other main thing i look for is to make sure that we actually are getting wholesale pricing, because they do claim to be a wholesaler, but here you see that it's a dealer's only website, which means that the general public can't access th.

I've been doing e-commerce and drop spring for over three and a half years doing multiple seven figures in online sales, but, like I said, there's a whole host of problems doing things this way. the reason people have this common misconception About Drop Shipping is due to scammy looking websites, low product quality, long shipping times and all the other major hassles that you have to deal with when you're working directly through a product page on AliExpress to fulfill your orders. and one of the most important, if not the most important, things that I learned along my journey was to establish a private supplier right from the job. establishing a relationship with a private supplier has never been easier, yet people are still doing it in very, very incorrect ways, so I'm going to be clearing all that up and showing you guys exactly how to get a private supplier in this video to Jump Right In. AliExpress sucks, as a supplier. using AliExpress simply limits your growth and will not satisfy your customers. two main reasons why AliExpress fails to be good supplier is won the long shipping times and two, the poor product quality. customers just don't want to wait three to five weeks for their product to arrive at their house anymore.
