Hello everyone, my name is Her. Yes, it is my name, not my pronoun. People often get confused, but that's okay. The other day, I was drinking a soda when a cute guy approached me. He asked, Yo, what's your name? I replied, My name is Her. He seemed puzzled, so I spelled it out for him, H-E-R. He then said, Nice to meet you! I was taken aback and said, Excuse me, I am not a hoe! You see, that's my cousin's name. Applause. Yeah, her mom is a homemaker and her dad is a hardworking guy. You know, those hoes are loyal though. As you can tell from my outfit, I was made in China. Yes, I apologize for COVID-19, but I didn't do it. I've been here the whole time, just roaming around the city. But this guy yelled at me, Yo, go back to China! I replied, Sir, there's no flight! Oh my God. I left China about three years ago because I felt pathetic. People in China are really judgmental, especially if you're over the age of 27 and not married. They call us leftover ladies. I know, it's brutal. But hey, I love leftovers. Who doesn't love Chinese leftovers? Thank you. We're yummy and cheap. That's my Tinder bio - Chinese leftover, yummy. Just take me home and eat me. Yes, my parents always pushed me to get married. I remember on my 30th birthday, my dad told me to lower my standards and find a husband. I was like, What, Dad? I don't have any standards! Just like my mom, you know. I know, applause. I don't understand why people want to get married. Most of my married friends are miserable. The other day, I was talking to a friend who was complaining about her in-laws, lazy husband, and underachieving child. I was like, What the heck, Mom? Seriously? No wonder I thank God so much. Thank you. Foreign music.

The Best Social Media Marketing Strategy for 2017

Hey guys, Justin Bryan here from self-made success.com. In this video, I'm going to show you the best social media marketing strategy for 2017. I'm going to break it down into multiple steps so that you know what mistakes not to make and what things you need to focus on. Whether you're building a personal brand, a small business brand, trying to make money from sponsored posts on social media, or trying to build a YouTube channel, these tips apply to pretty much every situation.

So, for 2017, let's dive into what the best brands are doing. The first thing you want to do is focus on your main social media platforms. It's hard to stretch yourself out and do all of them. Neil Patel, in his article called Seven Social Media Mistakes That Can Keep You From Going Viral, did a study where he got rid of all the social media share buttons on his website except for a few. He found that by doing this, he got more shares because it narrowed down the options. So, when you're starting out, focus on maybe Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. These are the top social media platforms with the most traffic, so you'll hit the most of your target audience through these three.

Another mistake that a lot of companies make on social media is posting too much promotional stuff and not enough value. Take a look at Founder Magazine, for instance. They have a million followers on Instagram, and most of the stuff they publish is interesting content that doesn't look for anything in return. They post quotes, quick tips, inspiring stories, and funny videos or pictures. By doing this, they build a bigger brand and keep people from unfollowing them.

The 80/20 rule is a great strategy to follow. 80% of what you post should be informative or entertaining, and not expecting anything in return. The other 20% can be more promotional. Jeff Bullas, a well-known social media marketing blogger, is a great example of this. Most of his content is helpful articles that help you with different things related to social media and other forms of marketing. Another example is Gary Vaynerchuk, who is known for his inspiring videos, quotes, and behind-the-scenes images. By providing value and following the 80/20 rule, you can attract more followers and engagement.

When it comes to building your follower base, don't just follow a bunch of people and hope they'll follow back. This can make your profile look spammy. Look at big brands like Entrepreneur. They have 870,000 Instagram followers but only follow 157 people. Clearly, they didn't try to build followers by following others. Instead, focus on creating content that brings value and makes people want to follow and share.

Listening to your target audience is crucial. Find them on platforms like Reddit, social media groups, LinkedIn groups, Facebook groups, or Google communities. Reddit, in particular, is a great place to find your audience and get insights into their problems, needs, and desires. Quora is another platform where people ask questions. By understanding your audience better, you can create content or products that address their needs and market them effectively on social media.

Lastly, make your followers feel appreciated and noticed. Take the time to read their tweets, comments, and questions and show them that you care. Tony Robbins does a great job of this. Spend a little time every day checking what your followers are saying and engage with them. By doing this, you'll show that you care about your followers and build a loyal following.

So, there you have it. The best social media marketing strategy for 2017. Focus on your main platforms, provide value, listen to your audience, and make your followers feel appreciated. By following these steps, you'll be on your way to social media success in 2017!

The Social Media TRENDS 2017

Music brands have been communicating with people for centuries, but as time went on, it became more challenging to reach a wider audience. In 1852, the first advertising agency was created to assist brands in delivering their messages to the masses. With the introduction of radio and television, brands were able to reach even more people. As technology advanced, brands discovered they could drive sales through direct marketing over the phone and by mail.

However, the internet revolutionized the way brands communicated with consumers. The internet provided new platforms for people to visit, communicate, and search for information. This allowed brands to deliver more messages to a larger audience, which required a new set of skills from digital agencies. People now had control over the messages they let into their lives and the ones they shared with the world.

Today, people are constantly bombarded with branded messages. They see over 5000 of them every day, leading to a feeling of being overwhelmed by marketing. Response rates to traditional forms of advertising such as banner ads and direct mail have significantly decreased. On the other hand, social media traffic is growing rapidly, with more than a 10% increase each month.

To address this changing landscape, a new approach is needed. Consumer engagement is key. It begins by listening to people's needs and creating meaningful content that resonates with them. This content should be memorable and relevant, living in the spaces where people spend their time. Consumer engagement empowers people to have a voice and gives them the tools to personalize and share whatever they want.

Direct and digital marketing play crucial roles in creating real connections that build trust and drive commerce. It is time for a new way of thinking, a new seat at the marketing table. The question is, are you ready?

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING | TRENDS IN 2017

Hey, how's everybody doing today? Welcome back! I hope everybody had a wonderful New Year's and a happy 2017 to everybody. I'm Steven Rosenberg and this is Jean Ginzburg. Welcome to Marketing Success in Under 10 Minutes. Today, we have some really exciting things to discuss with everyone. One of the biggest ones is what are going to be some trends for 2017. Gene, what are your thoughts on 2017 trends?

Gene: Yeah, thanks Steven and yeah, happy New Year to everyone. This is going to be an exciting 2017. I'm really looking forward to expanding my business and getting to know more of you out there. In terms of trends, what I think is gonna happen for Facebook is that they seem to be reaching the maximum point in terms of advertising in the news feed. So, one of the things that I see and have read about is that they're doing some testing for advertising in groups. So basically, in the future, you'll be able to target specific groups that are related to what you're doing or the types of audiences you're looking for. This will allow you to serve up ads to those groups. I think this is great because it's extremely targeted. For example, if you have a group related to digital marketing, you can serve up ads to that group. It's like a real-life example of how it would work. It could be a group related to sports teams, knitting, cooking, baking, or whatever. It's extremely targeted to a certain group of people, so you can serve them ads based on your product or service.

Steven: Well, I think Snapchat and Instagram are going to be the biggest trends of 2017. I mean, it's already pretty clear that they're going head to head with one another. Obviously, Facebook owns Instagram, so they have a unique proposition in that marketplace. I also think Snapchat is going to explode this year. There's a lot of buzz and talk about their IPO, which is coming in March and already valued at about 25 billion dollars. I think it is going to play out the same way Facebook did. Snapchat has cut off certain parameters and data from a lot of people, so I think you're going to see a big decline in Twitter unless they can change something drastically. I also think Musically is going to continue to increase in popularity. But getting back to Snapchat, I think that's going to be the biggest shift in 2017 where businesses go from not really understanding it fully to actually justifying the ROI. By 2018, I think the majority of all businesses will have to be on Snapchat to be relevant.

Gene: Totally agreed. I think Snapchat is definitely going to be the next big thing in social media. It's like finally we have a new platform that we haven't had in a while. It's been a long time. It's what makes it so exciting to me as an entrepreneur, because I'm looking for where the attention is at. I know that's what every business is looking for, but it's the difference between being a pioneer and waiting until everybody else has figured it out. The cost of advertising on Facebook is already going up dramatically, and the age demographic is getting older. A lot of younger people are not really involved in Facebook at all. So, it's important to keep an eye on the trends and not get too romantic about Snapchat. Trends come and go, and platforms change. The key is to embrace new platforms and not be afraid of them.

Closing thoughts: In closing, we'd love to hear your thoughts on trends for 2017. Is there a platform we didn't mention? Any questions on Snapchat or Facebook advertising? Any questions on anything social media related? Don't be afraid to embrace new platforms and stay updated with the latest trends. It's important to adapt and evolve with the ever-changing social media landscape.
