so there are many businesses out there that are still holding on to your actual files and documents. well, it's time to digitize those, and I'm so excited to have harmony, who flew in from the east coast, from Brother to tok, about a brand new product called image Center 80s, mm. thank you so much for being here. Thank You, Melissa. so let's dress to the businesses that are watching right now: the importance of why they should scan. well, there's a couple of reasons. well, so I'm glad you asked, you know, when you, when you look at different, you know areas within the business. there's a couple reasons, you know. the most important is, obviously, people are trying to eliminate their file cabinets and really reduce that office space and that footprint. so what it allows them to do is really get rid of those files and be able to access them on their computers. secondly, I would say that the most important thing is that there's no lost files anymore. so if someone's looking for a file in a file cabinet- disappear there, it was sent off to Iron Mountain. they're actually able to now retrieve those files a little bit quicker and they are actually able to retrieve them and have multiple people work on the same file instead of just one hard copy of laying around the office, absolutely and to that point to like a hard copy, I mean it, it is what it is. when you scan and digitize that document and you have it even on a shared drive, businesses from there working remotely that are traveling, everyone can have access to that. one same document than a physical one in a file you know back of a drawer somewhere. but I want to make sure our viewers know the brother image Center 80s 2000 is unlike other scanners that are out there. it has a small footprint but it does so much more can you highlight, like the four standout features that we discussed earlier. okay, there's a couple that I think are really important and really do separate us from the competition. the first is what we call multi feed detection. what that allows you to do is they'll actually prompt or notify. you have two pages were fed through at the same time and you can understand the real benefit of that is, if you're looking to really eliminate those file cabinets and then go to a paper shredder or the document, you want to make sure you don't eliminate those pages, especially if it happens to be a contract page of a sales agreement or something now for a lot of corporations. we not only just have the regular size documents but we have 11 by 17, and again image Center can handle that correct. you know most cases when someone's looking to scan a larger size document like an 11 by 17, you most of the time look to a flatbed scanner to be able to do that for you. but what we do is we supply it what we call a carrier she, which actually does come in the carton with the scanner, and what it does is you can actually fold your 11 by 17 in half, put it right here in the carrier sheet, feed this right through the scanner and what are going to do is actually stitch both sides of this scan into a final 11 by 17. so again, you're not limited to just an 8 and a half by 11 because you are on the width of the scanner. so again, that's something that can eliminate somebody looking to purchase a flatbed scanner if they're limited on the footprint space. absolutely. so again, it scans both sides of the document, stitches together for one document, correct. that's amazing and and also what's really cool, because it just proves it in the center can do it all. you can also scan all the plastik, correct? so if you're looking at, you know someone's needs to skin health insurance cards, driver's licenses, ID cards. what it also, what this machine comes with, it's what we call a plastik card carrier sheet. so again, you can put those types of documents and plastik ID cards into this carrier sheet, feed this through and of course it'll protect that for you. but you're still able to scan those plastik ID cards. and now for anyone that's on the go, brother again steps it up- you can actually scan and then take it with you with rusty, correct? so there's actually no interaction meeting between a PC and the scanner. so if you need to scan a document, let's say, directly to a USB, even if you wanted to share it with somebody else, or you're, you know, already shut down your laptop and you realize you forgot a document, it actually will scan directly to the usb without of the interaction of a PC. so again, that's really something that really starts to separate us from the competition and once again, separating from the competition is a huge value. with the software that comes included, because now I don't know if a lot of businesses realize this, but you can scan in a hard copy and then edit it on your PC, correct? we actually have a bundled software, probably about a value of about $4.99, included with this scanner, and one of the soft words that we carry is called nuance PDF Converter. so, just as melissa has stated, what it allows you to do is edit, annotate, markup electronically, sign any PDF document so you are able to continue to use that document after has been scanned. we also include nuance paper port and presto page manager, and what both of them allow you to do is to be able to scan different file formats and create one PDF out of it. so if your file was in Excel, a word and a PowerPoint, you can actually drag and drop them in page order and save it as one final PDF. both of those are, you know, use for both Windows and Mac, as the scanner is compatible for both. no separate you have to purchase for Mac. the last one is called bids car, which again is compatible with Windows and Mac, and what that allows you to do is scan a business card directly through the scanner and launches it right into the software. what automatikally populates it filled with name, address, phone number, email address, and what it allows you to do is then sync that to Microsoft Outlook or any other contact database you're looking to use those future business card contacts with. okay, so as you wrap up this segment, I just wanted to tell our viewers, you know what our again, it's just the main reasons why businesses need to go and digitize their files. of course, one of the main reasons is, obviously you want to make sure you have a disaster recovery plan, unfortunately, if there's ever a flood or fire in the officer in the home, you want to make sure you really do have those important data's. it could be a passport, birth certificate, business agreement, anything that you really want to make sure you have it backup for. the second would obviously be: you want to make sure that you know, as you eliminate file cabinets and try to reduce the space and send everything off to Iron Mountain, you want to make sure you can access and retrieve those files. thirdly, I would say, with the different government policies and laws and regulations that are out there now, whether it be HIPAA compliance or bans Oxley, you want to make sure you're following those stipulations and policies. and lastly, because of all these benefits that we've covered today and you, you know, address me with, I think that the 80s 2000 really is the perfect fit for a business environment. and one last thing I would want you to take away from today is that it is reliable, high speed, very easy to use, a very budget-friendly. for everything that you get with this model- absolutely. with brother, you definitely get the highest quality and the best customer service. so thank you so much again for coming into our studio. thank you very much for having me. it's exciting.

Scanning Directly to Evernote from the Brother ImageCenter ADS-2000 in Windows

hi, this is Troy from grain dump comm. today I'm with you, showing you how to scan directly from the brother ATS mm scanner into Evernote by pressing the scan to PC button. the first thing I have to do is make sure that you have the brother software loaded, which is called the control center for. when the control center for opens- if you see the orange screen, this is in the home mode. we actually want to change that. we're going to hit configuration mode select. we're going to Advanced Mode. this will give us some extra buttons and some more options that will allow us to scan into Evernote very easily. once we've changed will have a blue screen and the first thing we're going to do is configure the device settings. so we want to be on the device settings tab and we'll choose scan to PC settings. okay, I got an error and the reason I got that air was my scanner was asleep so we need to press the red button on the scanner. wake up the scanner now. this time, when I press scan to PC settings, it will open up the configuration screen. so we're on scan to PC by default. it's on the image. we're going to change that, we're gonna save it to a file and we're going to okay that now that we're scanning that that just means that when we press the button it's scanning to a file will now configure what that does for a file. so we open device scan settings. on device and settings we're going to choose the file tab. on the file tab we'll verify with a PDF. we're gonna make it a small PDF makes it much faster, less disk space. we're gonna choose a destination folder. I'm gonna go to C temp - skin. the reason I put it in the temp folder is if any documents would be left, I want them deleted. yeah, I don't want to stored forever on my computer, I actually want them directly into Evernote. so this folder really is temporary. the file will exist for about 4 seconds and then I'll be cleaned up and we'll hit okay. so what we're gonna do now is we're going to configure Evernote. we're going to choose tools, import folders, add. we're going to pick our folder- see temp scan- okay, and we're going to change it to delete. so we're gonna import any files that appear in the tempo der. we're only looking in the root folder. we're gonna dump it into the unsorted in Evernote and we're going to delete it once it's there. so now that we have configured that, we can take a look at our folder and Evernote and we'll scan a document and we can actually see what happens. so I press the scan to PC button. it's scanning the front and back of this document, converting it to a PDF. it will save it in the folder. Bom dia que ele já vai fazer a instalação do Sol. aquele já tá fazendo a instalação do print Scan, que é o aplicativo da brother que normalmente é utilizado nesses aparelhos aqui fazer a digitalização dele. se você usa um outro só pra fazer digitalização, nem sempre será necessário fazer a instalação desse solo. mas se você não tiver nenhum ou software da Bros quebrada disponibiliza, é isso aqui é bem simples de usar, fácil também você entender as funcionalidades dele E aí E aí Tá bom agora que ele já me pergunta se eu quero instalar algum software opcional. ele tem o paper port, que é outro software de digitalização e também tem aqui esse abbyy PDF Transformer. está a princípio, eu não vou instalar nenhum software adicional, só vou avançar e aqui eu já posso fazer a conclusão da instalação. agora me pergunta aqui se eu quero deixar um ícone do ladinho do relógio que ele sempre vai me informar quando tiver uma atualização nova, que sofre aí a questão de se você quer deixar ou não esse creme para sempre. tá avisando, eu vou deixar aqui, eu vou dar um ok, abrir o software da Brother. já vai cair nessa tela aqui. então eu já venho aqui no escanear. o aplicativo comum a gente utiliza para fazer digitalização nesses caminhos, a brother é esse contra o centro e nele que eu vou clicar. ele vai me perguntar aqui se eu quero um acesso a versão ao modo Inicial ou a modo avançado. eu vou clicar no modo avançado e já vou dar um OK. beleza, aquele vai me questionar se eu quero que ele sempre inicialize o contra o sempre quando eu ligar o meu computador. eu posso deixar ele que sim, ou eu vou abrir ele sempre quando for necessário e eu deixando ele inicializar juntamente com o computador, é se eu for utilizar o scanner na rede, porque ele tem um recurso que o scanner vai localizar esse software e vai estar instalado em um computador para sempre fazer a digitalização para lá. mas isso é um assunto, um próximo vídeo. aqui eu vou deixar ativo essa da forma como ele me dá aqui e já vou dar um OK, beleza, ele abriu o software. J tag ser um PDF não tem a primeira coisa que eu vou fazer para fazer isso. eu vou aqui nessa chavinhas que tem minha sobrinha aqui em cima e vou nessa terceira opção, aqui ó configurações de escaneamento do dispositivo e aqui ele tem aqui as opções, aqui ó imagem ao CR, e-mail e arquivo. tá então u-ship o arquivo e já vai me salvar como PDF e ele me dá o caminho aonde que ele vai estar salvando aqui no meu computador da. ele me dá a revolução para salvando o que é um arquivo colorido de 24 bits, né o tamanho do documento, aqui será um tamanho do papel. ele o deixa ele no padrão automátiko e aqui tem outras configurações que eu posso querer alterá-lo local dele salvo e tudo mais aqui nas outras Abas. é isso eu vou querer. já que ele salvo por e-mail dele, já vai me abrir uma aplicação de e-mail para eu enviar se vou fazer um. Como Configurar O ControlCenter4 Para Scanners

bom, bom dia pessoal. é vamos normalmente postar mais um vídeo e auxiliando nos clientes com alguns detalhes de configuração de scanner para a linha pró ter 81, 52, 81, 57 até a 8, 952, que utilizam concluiu ser ter quatro anos- já postamos o concurso- e ter três mais o control center 4 em algumas configurações diferentes. não é pouca coisa. como dito da outra vez, se você tem mais de um desculpar- e maps e 8952 de w, clica no botão configurações, configurações de botão escanear, e você vai ter aqui imagem, crmi, aqui esses quatro itens, aqui são os itens do software, que são esses itens aqui cr. essa foi uma das famosas, nénão muito interessantes, mas interiormente você aplicavam em um item, só lá e eles mostravam duas águas né botão do aparelho e do software. agora, na hora de separar, por exemplo no botão imagem, você tem aqui as configurações de couro disponíveis para esse botão a que eu deixei dessa vez tudo fora do lugar. aqui desconfiguraram. pedir configuração tiné, imagem. a gente vai tentar sempre como jpeg o aplicativo para abril, parte que a copa concluiu, está nesse botão, aqui esse ajuste tudo pra esquerda por um arquivo ficou melhor possível a uma qualidade, qualidade de 200 por 200 de pitot como kaká, do escaneamento com um golo de 24 bits. é copel 4 que é o padrão do ok. concluído a imagem, a configuração do botton escanear o auxerre, o item auxerre que o escaneamento de texto, né a gente costuma deixar ele com um hiper fest do 8 em diante não se tem 19, 10, o ódio ele já provou que automatikamente com o microsoft word- não sei se vocês perceberam, estava no bloco de notas o idioma do auxerre português. né o acerto pré precisa de uma qualidade e tanto maior. tá então por isso que a gente deixa o presente por 300 do ipi, pode deixar em preto e branco, mesmo não inscritas, geralmente em papel a4 da ok, aqui feito, consegue configurações, configurações de escanear e meio o item em meio a gente costuma deixar em pdf naquela extensão de ato, faz se agora em qualquer computador e selecione aqui é o melhor possível o tamanho do arquivo pequeno, uma resolução de 200, prudente, está excelente, é cover de componentes, papel tamanho a4 que estamos usando da ok finalizou configurar sorriso a eurozona que votou: escanear arquivo. esse é o item que a gente pode escolher a costa que para ele gravar. né você pode dar um homem arquivo que né meu caso deixei as iniciais ah, a que tipo de arquivo colocar comum e tr, que é o que a gente mais utilizou, do mesmo modo que essa seja justo para a esquerda porque ficou menor aqui eu vou escolher a pasta da área de trabalho que nós criamos, né que esse scanner aqui tá na roça, chamado scanner, para ele gravar o clipe da. ok, ó tu que eles criaram mais algumas apostas kahn, a resolução a gente precisa ser de 300, está com o, o escanteio que a gente mais utiliza para arquivos médicos, om deixar com 150 um preto e branco, mesmo cá em inglês, e um scanner bem a tamanho a4, doc gravou. lembrando novamente que todas essas configurações que nós fizemos aqui são configurações dos itens, do botão do software, que só esses botões aqui ou seja cuja folha lá. vim aqui no computador e apetece boca. no caso não é esse que o que mais utilizamos, né mas pouco durante ele também que mais utilizam, já que a configuração de dispositivo não é configuração de escaneamento do dispositivo. essa configuração é quando você vai lá na máquina, coloca o seu documento lá e aperta um desbocado, está a ganhar com a imagem você é e iwork vamos configurar novamente em campo. é o mesmo procedimento. outra configuração: imagem: a gente escolhe j perto, né deixe tamanho que temos um arquivo, é possível o aplicativo sempre utilizando parte que é o que tem no link, configurações de 200 por 200 de pizza, ótimo. né deixando ele em 24 bits de cor, tamanho do papel padrão que a gente utiliza lá. o acordo dá ao aplicar aqui o feito em área da saúde, consegue todos configurado. reveja bem ora tml. né gente vai colocar aqui no 8p fértil 9, 10, ele já mudou o aplicativo automátiko work, o idioma português. não só a gente deixou um pouco maior que estamos como o sr, podemos deixar do preto e branco em papel a4. está a aplicar feitor cr e meio em meio. a gente utiliza meu caso aqui mais pdf para escaneamento. deixar aqui com 200 bp está ótimo. vou deixar na conversão de um acordo de quatro suítes a ele vai me liberar aqui para deixar que o melhor possível tomar de papel a4 aplicar. concluiu o e mail. no caso de aquilo que é um dos mais utilizados na fragilidade, pois deixamos em pdf. vamos escolher na pasta que nós criamos na área de trabalho. dessa pasta escreve aqui é o tamanho ou a resolução de encaminhamento 150. brasil escreveu muito rápido eo preto e branco mesmo que silent installers are supported by many brother devices. the purpose is to automate the installation of drivers and software, removing the need for end users to do these things by themselves, helping to increase efficiencies and reduce printer driver related inquiries to your righty support staff. in order to silently install a brother printer driver, a small amount of preparation is required. i have split this preparation into the following four chapters. if you are watching this video on youtube and would like to skip ahead, click the chapter shown on the timeline or within the description: [Music] brother silent installers can be downloaded from the brother support website. simply go to supportbrothercom. find your brother device, go to the downloads area, ensure that you have selected your version of windows, then download the full driver and software package. the full driver and software package will download as a self-extractable file. please run it to extract the contents into a folder which it automatikally creates. close the installer wizard if it automatikally loads afterwards to install the printer driver only. we do not need most of what is contained within the full driver and software package. therefore, i'm going to show you which files we do need to do this. go into the self-extracted folder, then go into the msi subfolder. if you cannot find this msi subfolder. it probably means that the printer driver for your brother device cannot natively be installed silently. inside this folder you will find a series of msi installer files. one of them is from the printer driver. the next job is to find it because, as you can see, their file names do not really help us to do this. right-click one of the files, then select the properties option from the properties window, click the details tab, then check if the subject of the msi installer has brother printer driver or brother br script 3 printer driver written into it. if it does not, repeat this process with the other msi files until you find the correct one. when you do find it, i recommend you copy the printer driver's msi installer file to another folder. i also recommend you give it a new name to help you recognize it later on. we now need to find another file. to do this, go back into the full driver and software package, then open the subfolder model. here you will find a series of files with the extensiondat. these are data files and each one has information about different brother devices. what we need to do is find the data file concerning your brother device. the easiest way to do this is to open each one into a text file. at the top will be the brother device it refers to. keep opening them until you find the data file with your brother device inside it. when you find it, i recommend you also copy this file to the same folder as the msi installer. if you followed my recommendations, you should now have the following two files: an msi installer and a data file. i will now show you what to do with them. if you run this installer on its own, it will not do anything. this is because we need to give it further information by passing it some parameters. i will show you how to do this from an administrator elevated command prompt. the first thing we need to do is call a windows function called msi exec. next we need to type the parameter forward slash i. what this does is specify a standard install within quotation marks. we need to type the name and location of the printer driver's msi installer file to prevent the installation from disrupting the end user. by that i mean displaying any windows or messages to them during the install. type the parameter forward slash q. q means quiet. here we need to pass some brother specific msi parameters, for example the name of the printer driver. these are the rest of the brother specific msi parameters. please note that these parameters are for network connected devices only. so what do they all mean? this parameter is used to tell the installer which driver to use. it can be found in your device's data file next to the text printer driver name for the standard driver and ps driver name for the br script 3 driver. this is what it should look like when installing a hll 6400 dw. if you are creating a silent installer for a usb device, this is the only brother specific parameter needed. please note that it should be run before the relevant device is physically connected to the computer. as mentioned before, these parameters are for network connected devices. the printer name parameter is the name you want to assign to the windows print queue. if you omit it- by that i mean do not use it- the installer will use the driver name instead. in this example, the name of the print queue is called accounts printer and should be typed like this, within quotation marks: use this parameter if you want to set your brother device as the default print queue. omitting it or setting the value as 0 will leave the current print queue as is. this parameter creates the connection to your brother device using its ip address, for example, like this: alternatively, if you want to connect to your browser device using its node name, use the port name parameter, for example, like this: note that the ip address and part name parameters cannot be used at the same time. for reference, you can find the microsoft exec and brother-specific msi parameters used during this video in the description [Music]. i will now build a sample msi installer based on these specifications. here is the first part of the installation using the msi exec command, relevant parameters and name and location of the brother msi installer. this is the name of the printer driver as taken directly from your device's data file. this is the name of the print queue and this is the ip address of the device. lastly, i am using this parameter to set the hll 6400ew as the default printer. this silent command is now ready. it can be run directly from the command prompt, assembled into a batch file or powershell script. it can also be deployed through windows group policy, as well as many other utilities capable of installing msi files with additional parameters. thank you you.
