How to Optimize Your Google Ads for Your Catering Business in 2022
Last week, I shared three rules for running a successful Google campaign, and today, we will focus on the first rule: don't set it and forget it. Here are four steps to help you run a more successful Google Ads campaign.
Step 1: Add Negative Keywords
- Negative keywords are words that trigger your ad, but you don't provide that specific service.
- For example, if you're a caterer looking for wedding clients, a good negative keyword would be venue.
- By using negative keywords, you can save thousands of dollars by not triggering your ad when someone types in irrelevant words.
Step 2: Learn from Your Search Terms
- Take note of the search terms that trigger your campaign and create more ads or keywords from them.
- For example, if corporate catering was triggered and your campaign was shown to a person looking for office catering, create a new ad for it with the right landing page.
Step 3: Use Ad Extensions
- Ad extensions give your ads more real estate and make them more visible.
- Play around with extensions like location, phone number, callouts, and price callouts to make your ad stand out.
- A higher click-through rate (CTR) can be achieved with ad extensions, which will ultimately result in cheaper clicks.
Step 4: Adjust Your Keyword Bid
- Monitor your data and adjust your keyword bid accordingly.
- Don't be afraid to pay a little extra for a higher spot in search results.
- It's worth it to invest in top placement for keywords that are crucial for your business.
These four steps will help you optimize your Google Ads for your catering business. Remember to add negative keywords, learn from your search terms, use ad extensions, and adjust your keyword bid. By following these tips, you'll be able to run a successful campaign and attract more clients. If you have any questions, please comment below, and don't forget to subscribe for more marketing tips. 6. Use the data to create level two videos that target those who watched the level one videos.
7. Catering sales come from emotional connectivity.
