[Music], [Music], [Music]. the differences between two commercials are quite stark. the first ad for escapade perfume quite explicitly focuses on the product itself. they describe certain characteristiks of the perfume while going on to tok about its application and effect on the user. and this is quite difficult to do, especially when describing a product whose main selling attribute, which is smell, is not transmissible through [Music] television. it almost seems absurd. but the second perfume commercial does not even try in the lease to directly communicate the features of their product. they rely solely on lighting, partikular feelings and associations with their perfume. in this case, we could assume that the directors behind the ad want to transmit the feeling of ethereal beauty. we see a woman who fits into our standard of high attractiveness in a society frolicking through a rainforest in the midst of her storm. the only mention of the perfume is in the last 6 seconds of the one minute app. so why do we care about the associations of our product rather than the product itself? good advertising helps us begin to answer one of the most fundamental questions of human life: who am i? this is because, when it comes to figuring out who we are and what we want from life, we usually struggle to find answers now. a lot of this is existential and has to do with the fact that we're born with no pre-established notion of what it means to be human. it's simply up to us to figure that out along the way. but making the decision isn't easy. in fact it's a huge burden. out of all the possibilities our lives can take, how can we decide who or what we should be? we have no inkling if the choices we make will turn out to be good or not. yet we are each tasked with the responsibility of deciding for ourselves and can only hope that we've chosen well. on the other hand, good advertising helps us build an identity by releasing the anxiety brought about by self-determination. it tells us exactly what choice to make by compelling us to buy a certain product, and once we have done so, will we be able to emulate the identity and characteristiks that we have learned to associate with that product from a partikular commercial advertisement. advertising is based on one thing: happiness. and you know what happiness is. happiness is the smell of a new car. it's freedom from fear. it's a billboard on the side of the road that screams with reassurance that whatever you're doing, it's okay, you are okay. advertising that caters to our feelings primarily resonates with our subconscious mind and not a conscious mind. it's why we sometimes can't rationally deduce our preference for a certain brand and our ability to pay a premium for a product we can't tell apart from its competitors. if we are drawn to it simply because of what it evokes inside of us and the associations that come with it, then rest assured, the marketing department has done their research. what this means is that we need to start thinking carefully about the decisions we make, even if it's something as significant as purchasing a perfume. good advertising feeds of both our insecurities and deficiencies as humans and makes us believe that we can mask them with a new and exciting identity. make no mistake: the only thing you'll be able to achieve is to diminish your anxiety in the short term and, of course, you'll spend money on things you don't need in order to call a discomfort and needs to be addressed appropriately. making authentik decisions that align with our best interests is no easy task and takes a lot of effort. yet we have to realize that losing ourselves into the illusions constructed by good advertising will not make our lives and easier. they will only detract us from accepting and being comfortable with who we really are and the givens of our reality. there is no point striving towards an ideal when perfection does not exist. accomplish this and you'll be a much happier individual. you.
COMMON SOURCE AMPLIFIER IN ADS TOOL
in this video we are going to see uh about the designing of common source amplifier. so let's get started. so initially, we take uh the devices, uh nmos transistor from devices, moss. so for common source amplifier, we are taking an nmos transistor and we are taking the sources from uh sources: time domain: for vvdd, you are taking bdz, you are placing it here. and for uh input voltage, we are taking a sine input and we are going to place it here. so to move this text, uh, press f1, function f5 and to move this, we are going, we are moving it here and we are moving here, yeah, and then uh, we are taking a resistor load, go to basic components, click a resistor and place it in the load side of the nmos transistor. now we are going to connect this with this insert wire we are giving input to. the gate train is connected to the resistor and another part of the resistor is connected to the vdd source and we are going to connect it to the ground. so these are all for the count connection. so ground is here, we are going to connect it. another ground, another ground. so this is the connection for a common source amplifier. now we are going to uh give inputs for these common source amplifier. the input voltages: i am giving it a 700 millivolt, and frequency: i'm giving 30 megahertz, apply, click, apply. you don't have to change anything for the vdz and delay damping. you don't have to change anything, you just give input to the amplifier and give the frequency, click, ok. and resistor: i am giving a resistor value of 10 kilo, 10 kilo ohm, okay, apply. and for vdd: i am giving a 1.2 volt, uh, vdd for this common source amplifier, yeah, and i'm going to give the length and width. length is 180 nanometer and width: i'm giving it a one micrometer, click, apply. okay. this is the inputs for the common source amplifier. but uh, uh, another thing in this uh simulation in this areas tool is you have to give the name for this mosfet transistor. so click, open this nmos parameter. you see there is a model name called mosfet, mosfet m1. so we have to give a name and give the inputs to this nmos transistor like: uh, what is the threshold voltage, what is the uh, other parameters? so we have to keep the input to the mosfet transistors. so you have to add a model file and uh, what name in the model file? you have to give it here. so we first add a model file so we can download a model file from google. so i have downloaded a model file and this is the model file for 180 nanometer. so what is the name here is nmos. so we are going to uh give the name of the mosfet transistor as nmos. so we must add to add the uh netlist file. so this is a necklace file for 180 nanometer. i download it from google only, so we have to add this netlist by. so in order to add, you click a dynamic link, add netlist file, include. so we will get up. so you have to place it anywhere in the simulation window, simulator. you have to click, double click and you have to include the model file. so click include files. you have to browse it. so add a 180 nanometer model file. yeah, it has been added. so click apply and okay. so what name is in the mosfet and a netlist file? it is nmos. so you change the name of the model file as n moss and mos. okay, i have given the length and width and more the name of the model, click apply and okay. okay, we have uh given the inputs, we have added the net list file. but in order to simulate we need a simulator. so in ada software we have uh different types of simulators, so we are going to perform a transient simulation. so click transient, place it here. yeah, the simulator has been added now. uh, we are going to uh check the input and output. so we uh. so, uh, we have to name the input or node. so to name it, to name the input and output node, click name, add it here. be in is the input we are going to analyze, and we out. yeah, we have added the nodes for the input and output. so we are going to analyze this input and uh in the output. so to run, click this uh wheel button to simulate. if you have given the inputs correctly, uh simulation window, an output window will pop like a popup like this: and to now analyze the output, click this rectangular window and place it here. it will ask for the uh inputs to the uh output window. so we are going to analyze the input and output now. so we click when we add input and then we add output. so, yeah, okay, you see this is the. the red color is the input and this blue color is the output. uh, we have given a 700 millivolt so you can, you can see the input and output in a separate box. so double click here instead of this rectangle, click this and press ok. so okay, now you can see clearly: uh, this is the input voltage, v, and the common source output voltage will be v out. so, based upon the inputs, uh, this way out will be changing. and this is the transient analysis. so for disney analysis, we'll see in the next video.
