How To Integrate Square with Shopify

hi guys, this is speak about digital, and in this video, I will show you a simple way how you can easily connect square with Shopify. so this is like an easy and short tutorial. what you want to do is just scroll down below on this video to the description, and click the link. then you are going to come across this page. make and Mac is a powerful integration platform that would allow you to connect different apps without having twice a single line of code. make integrates with over 1000 apps and services. two of those apps are Shopify and square, and you can also get the free accounts that you can test results by yourself. okay, so to connect square with Shopify, just follow the steps after clicking the link in the description. now you need to sign up. to make it's easy as, just fill in these forms, or you can also sign up using your Google accounts, your Facebook accounts or your GitHub accounts, and after that, this is your dashboard. now you want to click this create new scenario button right here on the top right, and here you are. click the plus sample and just search for the apps that you want to connect, let's say square, or you want to add Shopify first. that's completely up to you and, as you can see, each application usually has different scans of modules inside of it, because you can do different things with those applications: create an order, cancel an order, create a products, the list of products, delete a customer- so you can simply choose which one you want. I'm gonna go with watch orders, so this is also specified down here. what kind of modulates? then you need to connect this with your accounts here and then after that, click the plus icon here and now you need to add another major module and add square. and let's say you want to get a customer update. the customer gets orders, search orders. so you will choose which action you actually want here. I'm gonna go with a create a customer. then you need to connect this with your account's hair, so this is like: automatikally creates a Square customer when a Shopify order is created on the bottom left. you can easily run this once and test it out on the bottom, you can save it, and over here you can find templates. How to integrate Shopify with Squarespace

hey, what's going on? this is Russell Mari, founder of sq SP themes. calm, today I'm going to show you how to integrate Shopify with your Squarespace site. now, why would you want to do this? a few years ago, I had a client who needed an alternative payment gateway. so nope, PayPal, no stripe. it had to be a third-party payment gateway, and so what we did? we didn't want to abandon our Squarespace site, so what we did was we used Shopify light, which allows us to embed a Buy button, and that's how we were able to still keep our Squarespace front-end and have a completely different checkout experience for customers. so you know, that's one of the reasons why you might want to do this. right, let's say, you want to use after pay. you can't do that with Squarespace. so you know you would want to use something like Shopify, but again, Squarespace is superior, I think, in my opinion, when it comes to blogging and content and layout design, and so if you've got a website or a brand that's heavy on the content side, but you also sell products that have, you know, special requirements like maybe, maybe you don't want to do you know your taxes manually, and Squarespace Shopify is- is probably ideal for that. so, that said, let me show you really quickly how this works. so what I have here is a Shopify light plan. now, Shopify delight is nine dollars a month and it allows you to sell on facebook Messenger and to use this- by now I mean this Buy button functionality which I'm going to show you- and you can also use a little point-of-sale device as well. all, right, now for reference. if cost is a concern, you can use this $9 a month Shopify Lite plan with either a personal or business plan, and you actually end up saving some money, especially if you pay annually. all right. so here, right, you can get a personal plan for 16 bucks a month, the Shopify light for nine bucks a month, and that's basically twenty-five dollars a month and you've got, you know, the the benefits of score space and Shopify all-in-one, all right. so the next step here is: I uploaded a couple just sample products here. we've got hat, pants and a shirt- just to simulate some products, and I added all of these products to a single homepage collection, right here. okay, and so now, if I go to buy button and hit create buy button, okay, I got two options. I can select, you know, an individual product here, or I can select the entire collection. so what I'm going to do is I'm just going to select a single product for now whole do the pants, and you can see the the different kind of layouts here that you can use. so you can just have a simple button right and Add to Cart button. you can have a, you know, image title button or you can have the full kind of enhanced view which includes the description, other images if they're available, and then you can style it right. so you know you can show the quantity feel, let's say you want two pence, so you don't want any corners. you know you could change the button color and width, you can change the font style and the shopping cart, alright. so once you've kind of tweaked that to your liking, you simply hit generate code, copy this to your clipboard and then what I have here is a just a simple page and I'm going to add a code block and I'm gonna paste, paste that here, boom, alright, hit save, and so this is what it looks like on the other end. so I'll refresh this for you, just so you can see that the Pens that we added. so the good thing about this is it gives you a little bit of a little bit more flexibility when it comes to your product page layouts, in a sense, because you're not restricted to, you know, the usual Squarespace product interface. and so here you see, we've got our, you've have product right here, pence, and then below, what I did was I embedded the entire collection, alright, so with this I could probably- you know, I can create a different page for each product- maybe embed some type of review widget and and really just create your own store. now what does it look like when you add to cart? this is pretty important, I think. so you add to cart there, so you're going to add some pence, cool, all right. now, notike, how, you know how seamless this, this is your, your, your customers aren't going to be like, hey, what happened to the Squarespace checkout? they're just gonna think, oh, this is convenient, alright. so then you hit checkout, and one thing you might want to make note of and take note of is the domain name here that you use. so this is just a sample shop that I set up called Tiger egg, but you would want to maintain some brand consistency between your, your Squarespace store and your Shopify checkout, and then someone could just check out: alright, real simple, nothing crazy, and so if add something like auto-pay setup right, then your customers would be able to use that. see if there's anything else. shopify payment setup. hi guys, welcome back to another video, and in this video, i'm going to be telling you how you can set up payments within shopify. so, having said that, let's just jump into the video. so i'm over here on shopify right now and what you'll do is just simply log in right now, if you already have an account, you can just simply log in. if you don't, you can just sign up by entering in your email address over here and starting your free trial. uh, there is a pricing plan, however, so let me just show you, if you were interested in that one. so, over here, as you can see, these are the plans. we have: the basic, the shopify and the advance. you can see their payments over here, how much they cost. the basic one is going to be 29 per month, the shopify is going to be 79 and the advanced one is going to be 299, and you can see all of the rates and features that they have over here, and if you scroll down, you can see more stuff as well. over here, you can see more features as well within each plan in a more comprehensive and detailed manner, so that you can know which plan you want to try out. but yeah, then you're good to go. so first, i'm just simply going to go ahead and log into my store and i'll show you how you can set up payments. so we'll just simply log in into my store over here now. once you have logged in, you've arrived over to your dashboard, or your admin. what you're going to do is you scroll down. what you're going to do is just navigate yourself over here at the bottom left corner, click on settings and open up settings, and over here you will see you have billings plans, payments, checkouts and all of that. just simply click on payments and over here you will have three options. you will have payment providers, supported payment methods and manual payment methods as well. so, over here, choose whichever payment method you want and then, for example, if you wanted to have like payment providers, you just simply click on choose a provider and choose a provider from this list that you can see over here. if you want to add a payment method yourself, you can add that. over here. you can search for a payment method. over here, as you can see, we have visa, mastercard, diners and all of that. let's say you want a visa, mastercard, right, and then you will have skrill, ocean payments, ping pong checkouts to check out, convert plus i pay, hit pay, credit card, debit card- all of that. you can choose that, or you can add like a manual payment system, like a bank deposit, money order or cash on delivery. it all depends on you. so for me, i think that going into payment providers and choosing one of these is much better. like you will see, you will have if a payment method is not available in your country, it will just say unavailable within your country and it will show you the ones that are available at the top. so currently, to check out is available within my country, so i'm going to be choosing that one. it does support a very large number of cards, such as visa, mastercards, american express, discovery, jcb and diners club as well. yeah, so we're going to click onto checkouts account. we have a server error, but it still works. now. over here, you can choose which type of card you support, so i'll just support all of them and then, over here, they basically give you like a set up instruction on how to get it working. so they have like a 10 step account which is very simple to you know. get started. so, first things first, we have to create a to checkout account, so let's go ahead and click over here. actually, i need to open it up in under the tab so that it's much more convenient, so i'll just open it up in another tab over here. so over here, it's very simple. you can sign up for free by just simply clicking on this button over here and adding in your details, such as your first name, your last name, your business email, password, website and your country, and it's very easy. so over here, i'll just say i'll just enter in john doe and then, over here, we'll add in our business email, which is my temporary email. so i'll just go ahead and do that. i'll copy the email, come back over here and paste it, and then i'll enter in the password. and for the website, we'll just, you know, copy this one, copy the link address and come over here and paste it. i'll get rid of that. yeah, that looks good. then we have our country, we check the robot and then we click on. get started. there you go, it's done. now what we need to do is: what type of products do you want to sell with? to check out, online service, digital products for retail, offline service or others, since this is a shopify store. so we'll just say retail and we'll click on create account. now i do have to mention that creating a to checkout account is not easy, like it's not. it is easy, but it's just not very, you know, short. it's very detailed. you got to do a lot of things. you got to input a lot of information to actually get started with two checkouts account, which is pretty. you know hectik. they just ask you for a lot of information in order to actually get started with it. so over here they're: basically, if you are a partner slash seller, click here. so i don't think this is it. i haven't created my account, but i'll, let's see. yeah, okay, that works. so now we are here, we just have to activate our account. now, in order to activate your account, it's very simple: you have to input all this information, right? so before you start, you gotta provide this. you gotta add information about your business: you know your company name, your business type, where it is address, all of that. then you gotta input your financial details, such as the company registration id, uh, tax registration, ad id, annual online transaction volume and everything else. you will also have a stakeholders option over here. if you have some, you can go ahead and add your stakeholders over here. if not, you are good to go. then you have about your products and services. so you have to input your information about your product and all of the services that you provide. then you have account settings- okay, and then you have your documents as well. so you got to input your business document, company ownership document, tax identification, valid proof of address, other documents, and then, down below, you will have your summary. so you gotta make sure you input all of these information. then, once it's done, once you've submitted it, you wait for a couple of days to hear from to check out. they'll send you an email and then they'll activate your account and you are good to go. but, uh, since i don't have time for that and i don't have all this information, we'll just save that for later and i'll show you how you can basically activate it, right? so to activate it, as you can see over here, we have to log into a checkout account. once we've activated it, we have to access the integrations option. then we have to go into web hooks and api sections in your cpanel. all right, so let's go over there- integrations. over here on the left side, and underneath integrations, we have web hooks and api. we'll go into there. there we go, as you can see right here now. next, under api section, copy the merchant code and paste it within the merchant code field on this page over here. as you can see, we have the merchant code over here and we have the secret word over here. so over here you will see, underneath api keys, this is the secret word right here, this is the ins and we have it over here and this is the secret key and this is the merchant code. so we'll just copy the merchant code. we'll come over here and paste the merchant code right here. then we have to input the secret word. so, over here, go back, scroll down. this is the ins sacred word. we just have to click on generate to generate the word and click copy and then click on save. there we go, it's saved. then we just come over here and we paste it right here. then, over here, what we need to do is- we've already done save settings, yeah, and then in the redirect url section, click enable return after sale. so scroll down below over here. this is the ins notification. we don't need to do that, we need to d.

e-commerce platform over to shopify within minutes. let's get it so over here, rich from anywhere. we have been doing e-commerce for many, many years and we have a lot of e-commerce businesses that man, let me go ahead and share my screen and let me show you, guys, how to move over to shopify. all right, guys, so the name of this app is called lit extension. you're gonna love this. all right, you can click the link in the description of this video. it'll take you right there, and when you get to the home page, you're going to see this right here. right now. i want to show you this really quickly. look, when you hit from, you're going to see all these options. you can literally transfer from any store, right? you got big cartel, big commerce, if you got. if you guys are wix, you got wix. you got, uh, woocommerce- you got woocommerce. you got all these different ones, right? so what you're gonna do is just choose your platform. let's just say you're coming from big commerce and then you're gonna switch to shopify. so what you'll need to do is you'll actually need to log in. so if you don't have an account already, you'll just need to create one, and you can actually do that by just clicking sign up right here and then just go ahead and put in an email name, password, or you can just create an account from facebook or google. so go ahead and sign up and then, as soon as you sign up, it's going to take you into your account where you'll actually start the process. so in this video, the example i'm going to use is actually going to be transferring a godaddy store onto shopify. all right, so let's go ahead and select godaddy right here and then, once we have that going to shopify, we're good, so we're going to go ahead and log into our account. now, once you're logged in, you have an account and everything. what you're going to start doing is you're going to select the source cart type and you're going to actually put in godaddy. and then what you'll do in the source cart url- now this is actually going to be the link that when you're inside of your godaddy account, the link that's in your web browser when you're actually editing the dashboard, that's going to be the link that you're going to put in there. and then you'll go ahead and put in your username and your password and then, on the bottom, where it says target cart setup, that's where you're going to put in shopify and you're going to actually put in your myshopifycom link right here. so just a quick note: you will have to have a shopify store already created in order to start this process. so if you haven't started a shopify store yet, go ahead and go over to shopifycom, create an account and then, once you do, you're going to go into your dashboard, copy the url at the very top and then you're going to go ahead and paste it right here. then you'll go ahead and click configure your migration. now, when you get to the configuration page, this is where you're going to actually select what you want to migrate. okay, so obviously you can select all, and this will select all the products and all the categories that you have inside of your store. with the free version of this, basically, what you're going to be able to do is migrate up to 20 products and 20 categories for free. if you want to migrate more than 20 products, then it's going to be a little bit of a fee, and i'll show you what that is in a minute, but it's really not that bad whatsoever. it's totally worth all the time saving right. so here's the thing. when you come to this- additional options- it says transfer images from categories, product descriptions and everything, and it says that it's an extra charge. but, honestly, every time that i do this, i don't check this and it still transfers all my images and all my product descriptions and everything. so i would just skip that, because it does it anyway for free. but, for instance, let's say that you have a store that has more than 20 products, right, what you'll want to do is you want to click skip free migration and then go ahead and click the orange button right below it. now, when you come to this page, it's actually going to pull how many different products and categories that you have in your store and it's going to give you an estimated price. so for this partikular store, we have 107 total entities that we need to transfer over, and for that amount, it's going to cost us 49 bucks, right, which is not that bad at all. i mean, that is actually amazing when you consider trying to manually migrate 107 products like that would take you probably days, if not weeks, to do that. so what i what i also found is that you can put in a little discount code and you can get five percent off here. so if you go ahead and type in shopify zero five and then hit apply, you'll see that it instantly takes two bucks off as well. so that's a little savings for you, not much, but hey, every little thing counts, you know. so then go ahead and hit: start full migration. and what i've notiked too is that sometimes you can click this and it won't do anything. what i've notiked is that sometimes you have to click it like three or four or five times. then it'll eventually kick in, and when it does, you'll start seeing it's a full migration is running and it'll say that it's currently preparing your migration right now. and if you scroll down here, you can actually see some more details about the migration right. so if you see that it says migration is running in the background and you don't need to keep this browser open until migration completes, it is safe to close this browser. turn off your computer, grab coffee, do whatever you need to do and you'll get a notification when it's completed. if migration gets slow at some point, please pay attention to the alert icon next to the migration progress and it'll explain detected issues. and what i've notiked is that sometimes it might take a little bit to completely migrate, maybe like 15 to 20 minutes or so, but what you will see is like pretty much instantly, within minutes, you'll start to see products start popping up inside of your shopify store, just like this. i mean it's incredible, and if you want, you can actually go and click inside of one of these products right here and you'll see that it actually starts pulling in all the titles, the descriptions, the images, the prices- all this stuff is already in your store, just like that. so i would say, like, give it 15 minutes, maybe 30 minutes or so, and then come back and check it out, and everything should be pretty much done at that point. i haven't really seen anything take much longer than that. now, obviously, i was using godaddy as an example in this video. you might be using On the other hand, Square is the most comprehensive free mobile POS out there. When the company was founded in 2009,, they were the first to make card processing widely available to everyone using a free card reader and a smartphone. Having grown exponentially since then, Square now offers a comprehensive suite of business products for merchants just like you looking to sell in-store, online and on the go. And unlike Shopify, Square and its POS app, Square point of sale charges no monthly fee, making it great. if you sell in person but only process card payments once in a while.
