Can You Control What Ads Are Shown on Your YouTube Videos?

As a YouTube content creator, one may wonder if they have any control over the types of ads that are shown on their videos. In this article, we will discuss the level of control that YouTubers have over the ads shown on their channels.

Can You Choose Which Ads to Show?

Unfortunately, YouTubers do not have the power to choose which ads are shown on their videos. Advertisers are the ones paying for the ads, and they get to decide which channels and types of channels they want to be on. As a YouTuber, you do not have access to this information, and you cannot participate in this process.

Can You Block Specific Ads?

Yes, YouTubers have the ability to block specific ads that they do not want to appear on their channel. All you need to do is copy the URL of the ad, go into your settings, and select to exclude that specific ad. However, this is not the same as having the freedom to choose which ads to show.

What About Network Contracts?

Some YouTubers sign contracts with networks that provide better ad rates and resources. However, if you sign over the monetization of your channel to a network, you lose control over the ads that are shown. Networks can choose which ads to display, and you may not be able to block specific ads. It is essential to be cautious when signing network contracts and to read the fine print carefully.

In conclusion, YouTubers do not have complete control over the ads that are shown on their channels. While they can block specific ads, advertisers ultimately decide which channels and types of channels their ads appear on. It is crucial to be aware of the terms of any network contracts to avoid losing control over the ads displayed on your channel.

Is YouTube Ads Earning Haram? AdSense Ads Blocking Control

Title: Is Earning from YouTube Halal or Haram? My Take on the Issue

Hello everyone! How are you all? Today, I want to talk about an issue that most of you might not like - the halal or haram aspect of earning from YouTube monetization. As a Muslim, I have come across many videos of muftis, maulanas, and Islamic scholars who claim that earning from YouTube ads is haram. This has made me uncomfortable and demotivated to continue making YouTube videos. However, I also acknowledge that many YouTubers, including myself, make videos for both their interest and for the money. So, what should we do? In this article, I will share my take on this issue and what I have done to make the monetization of my YouTube channel halal.

Bullet points:

- Many Islamic scholars claim that earning from YouTube ads is haram.

- Many YouTubers make videos for both their interest and for the money.

- What should we do to make the monetization of our YouTube channel halal?

Blocking Sensitive Categories:

To make the monetization of my YouTube channel halal, I found an option on Adsense where I could block certain categories of ads. Many Islamic scholars claim that ads promoting alcohol, dating, astrology, and other prohibited items in Islam are not acceptable. So, I decided to block the following sensitive categories on my Adsense:

- Astrology and Isotree

- Cosmetic procedure and body modification

- Dating

- Reference to sex

- Significant skin exposure

- Social casino games

Moreover, I partially blocked the following general categories:

- Dining and nightlife

- Finance

I acknowledge that blocking certain categories of ads does not make earning from YouTube completely halal. However, I cannot completely demonetize my YouTube channel right now, so I have to follow this approach. As a Muslim, I believe in following my religion and doing what I can to make my actions halal. What do you think about this issue? Let me know in the comments below. Thank you for reading!

Pixera Control ADS protocol Part I: Connection theory

In this article, we will be discussing how to communicate Pixera and Back of devices using ADS protocol. We will learn how to set up a connection and pass values from Pixera to Back of, as well as explore how to use this communication in a real-world scenario.

Setting Up the Connection:

1. Ensure that both computers are connected together with a switch and are in the same subnet.

2. Set the AMS net ID for both computers by using the IP number followed by .1.1.

3. Edit the routes for both computers by setting the IP address of the other computer followed by .1.1.

4. If your firewall is turned on, set two exceptions to allow ADS communication using one TCP connection and one UDP connection.

Passing Values from Pixera to Back of:

1. Open the TwinCAT software and create an empty project with a program called Main.

2. Add variables called PixeraIn and PixeraOut, both as an array of one element with the type integer.

3. Activate the project in TwinCAT and log in to see the live values of the variables, which should currently be at 0.

4. Use the Ads block to write a value to Back of using a Lua script.

5. Enable the block and call the Right action to pass a value, such as 66, to Back of.

6. Use the Ads block to read a value from Back of using a Lua script.

7. Enable the block and call the Read action to check the current value, which should still be 0.

8. Use the Ads block to set up a notification to track changes in the value of PixeraOut.

9. Enable the block and call the Notification action to see the current value in the log area.

10. Change the value of PixeraIn to 44 and see the change in the log area using the notification.

Using the Communication in Real-World Scenarios:

1. Use the time block to pass the value of the current second to the Right action.

2. Use the Lua script to calculate the value of PixeraOut using the value of PixeraIn plus 60.

3. Enable the block and call the Read action to check the current value, which should still be 66.

4. Enable the block and call the Notification action to see the current value in the log area, which should increase by 60 every second.

In this article, we learned how to communicate Pixera and Back of devices using ADS protocol. We saw how to set up a connection, pass values from Pixera to Back of, and use this communication in a real-world scenario. With this knowledge, we can use ADS protocol to efficiently exchange data between different devices in various applications.

How To Check (And Control) Your Advertising Spend In Google Ads

As you increase your advertising spend on Google Ads, it becomes important to review and control your advertising costs. In this article, we will explore three different ways to control the advertising spend for your Google Ads account. We will cover campaign budgets, shared budgets, setting a monthly spend limit, and using rules.

1. Checking Total Account Budget:

- Look for the total account budget in the last row of the table

- The total daily budget for the account is $5 a day

- If you don't change the daily budgets for any of your campaigns in a calendar month, you won't be charged more than 30.4 times your daily budget amount

- Checking the total budget for your campaigns is a good way to review how much the account can spend

2. Creating Shared Budgets:

- Shared budgets are a single budget used by multiple campaigns in the account

- Select Tools and Settings, then Shared Budgets under Shared Library

- Name the budget, select the campaigns that will use the shared budget, and combine the individual budgets for the campaigns selected

- Adjust the total shared budget by hovering over the daily budget column, clicking the edit icon, changing the shared budget, and clicking save

3. Setting Monthly Spend Limit:

- Select Tools and Settings, then Settings under Billing

- Set a monthly spend limit, and as soon as the limit is reached, ads will stop running

- If the monthly spend limit option isn't available, use rules to automatically pause campaigns when they reach a defined budget

4. Using Rules:

- Select Tools and Settings, then Rules under Bulk Actions

- Create a new rule to pause campaigns when they reach a defined budget

- Create another rule to enable paused campaigns the following month

- These two rules will pause campaigns when they've spent $30 in a month and enable them the following month

Setting a daily budget for each of your campaigns is one of the best ways to control how much campaigns will spend. However, there are additional options such as checking the total account budget, creating shared budgets, setting a monthly spend limit, and using rules to control your advertising budget in Google Ads. It's important to monitor your advertising budget and adjust it accordingly to get the best return on investment for your ad campaigns. Do you have any tips you'd like to share?
