Comparing Every Print on Demand Companies T-shirt Quality - Which is the best?
this video has been in the making for a very long time and a hundred and seventy dollars, and four weeks later i finally have it for you. i'm going to be comparing all the different companies: print on demand companies, t-shirt quality- or not all of them, but 11 companies- t-shirt quality. now a bit of backstory behind this video. so i've made quite a few videos comparing all the different print-on-demand companies, comparing their shipping time, their prices, but i haven't ever created a video comparing the different quality between one company t-shirt and another company t-shirt- the printing quality, the material quality, the size, all of that kind of stuff. and that's what this video is for. i have bought t-shirts from a whole bunch of different companies with the exact same design on it, so really it's the ultimate comparison. the other reason why i wanted to make this video and do this comparison is because i myself am really into the quality of a t-shirt. i wouldn't want my customers to be buying crappy quality t-shirts, and i know i wouldn't want to be. so this is also kind of like a way for me to figure out which company is delivering the best quality. okay, so let's move on to the companies in this comparison, starting with teespring and then teespring with a s color. so their new, the new thing: printful t-chip, printify, amazon, merch, red bubble motif t public and threadless. i know that's not every single print on demand company in the entire world, but i did take a poll and these companies were the highest voted companies for me to test. so now that you know the companies, what will i be testing exactly? so in the comparison, we're going to be looking at cost, shipping time, printing quality, material quality and size accuracy. i feel this will give a very good understanding which company is producing the best quality clothing. please bear in mind that the two categories of print quality and t-shirt comfort will obviously be my opinion. you might not agree with me. i just feel that after many years of buying clothing- good quality, bad quality and kind of seeing them- i feel like it will be a good comparison. i also have lauren in the video actually comparing some of the t-shirts and picking which one she found to be her favorite. so again, those categories are an opinion, but it's a pretty good opinion, if i may say so myself. another thing to note is every t-shirt was delivered with that smell. i don't know if you know what i'm toking about, but sometimes a t-shirt gets delivered with a vinegar kind of smell and that's because of the dtg printing, the direct garment printing, and that smell is a good thing. it means that they've used certain things that will allow the design to actually stik properly to the t-shirt rather than flake off. so it's a good thing and all it takes is one wash and it's gone. so we're gonna start with this spreadsheet that you can see i've made. here every category gets a score out of ten, except obviously the shipping category, the price category and the name of the company. so this is the spreadsheet. i've got the name of the company, i've got the product type and the amount of money i paid, and then the categories as i go through will have you know, shipping, the quality and all of those other elements. so first let's tok about the shipping, right. so if i scroll through you can see the shipping. of all these different companies, the longest one was threadless, at 36 days, and the reason why certain things are highlighted in blue blue is bad, right. so, for example, paying 23 pounds for a t-shirt is bad. paying 30 pound 59 for a t-shirt is bad, likewise threadless- oh, they're not on a good run here. 30 pound 59- the cost of the t-shirt and 36 days delivery. in fact, that t-shirt only arrived today, which is why i'm finally able to make this video. we've been waiting around for absolutely ages. the one before that was 24 days and that was t-chip. so a whole 12 days later i had to wait for threadless shirt to arrive. so that's the shipping time and the price paid. now we're going to head over to the table where i've got all the t-shirts out and we can actually look at the quality, the size, the comfort, all of that kind of stuff. we're now going to be looking at the printing quality of all of these different shirts. now, what i've done is i've written the company name in each shirt. right, i'm not going to look, because i don't want any preconceptions, i don't to be biased at all, knowing what the company name, knowing who the company is, and i'm just going to do a very unbiased test, right, and these are all the shirts i've laid out, right, i don't know what printers they're using. i'm just going to be testing the color. i'm going to be testing the clarity of the font, which is why i put a bit of font in there. i've also specifically done variations of the color so that you know, we can see how good they are with the same color but lighter opacities and as well as that, we're going to just we're going to look at everything related to printing, right. so firstly i want to explain this design. so just zoom into this design over here. i want to explain this design. all it is is a variation of different fonts, because obviously we always use different fonts- very, very, very small font over here, just so i can kind of see how well that's printed. and then i've picked what one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight major colors and i've lowered the opacity all the way down the bottom. this is actually pretty, pretty decent. this is very quality. anyways, we're not toking about this one specifically now, but, for example, if we have a look at this one in comparison, right, we can see. firstly, i don't know why it's this much bigger. everything should be identikal, literally identikal. but you can kind of have a look here for the first one, two, three, four, it's all the same. there is no color difference for the first four colors, and then you can start seeing the colors fading a bit. now i know, with especially uh dtg printing, when you're changing the opacity it can screw up the printing which, look, some companies did it, some companies didn't, and that's why i wanted to give them the most challenging kind of print work to do. so we're now going to go through all the different companies- and again i don't know who's who- and i'm going to rank them out of 10, right, and after seeing what their scores are, we're going to put them in the spreadsheet so you can see them, and eventually we're going to look underneath the shirt over around there to actually see which company was the best. so let's come over here and start with this first one. this first one's actually pretty good. um, it looks. it's gonna be really hard to try and get this test on camera for you, because you're gonna notike a lot of you're looking about to notike like little intricate things that i'm gonna notike. but, for example, lauren, you can input as well if you want. but just in terms of the white, the white hair seems pretty good. the shades of color are very, very good. right, they they. they have all the colors. the squares- yeah, you can definitely tell they're all different squares there. this is nice, it's. it's not as white as i would like it to be, and then it's bled a bit over here, you can see, right, i'm not quite sure why that is or what that is, but that's happened. um, ah, notiking that this annoyed me a bit, but what can you do? just all the way up here you can see, in terms of the softness of the actual design, it's, it's nice, it's nice. let's move on to this one. okay, this one, immediately, you can. it feels a lot softer. right, the printing is a lot smoother. there isn't any any spilling anywhere of the lines. so if we compare the two whites, right, you can see that's a much more faded white. likewise with the actual color. if we have a look at the red, right, this is a much, much more faded red. saying that, i actually kind of like that faded look. i feel like these bright colors look a bit fake and this one looks very real. okay, now let's move on to. let's bring this one back down. this one here, right, this has got very, very good whites rig.
How to Start an Online Boutique (Dropshipping Clothing)
if you want to start an online boutique where you have no upfront costs for inventory, don't have to ship the product yourself and only purchase the inventory that you've actually sold, this video is for you. i'm going to show you, step by step, how to start an online boutique, so that you can stop putting it off and get started today, before we get into the video. if you like videos about winning products, drop shipping, shopify themes, apps and tutorials, do us a favor and hit that subscribe button and turn notifications on. now let's get into the video. alright, first things first, let me explain how there are no upfront costs for inventory, typical with clothing stores. you would order several different clothing items- pants, shirts, skirts and etc. and order a few different sizes for each product. so, say, you want to stok this t-shirt, you need to order sizes extra small to extra large and you want about five sizes of each. well, if the shirt costs you five dollars from the manufacturer, you've spent 125 dollars and have no guaranteed sales. that price does not include any color variants of the shirts or shipping, which is another thing to consider. if the product doesn't sell, well, you're just out the money. what i'm suggesting you do is something called drop shipping, or you could do print on demand. with either of these, you don't order any inventory and instead you post photos of your products on your website and if you make a sale, then, and only then, do you tell the manufacturer: hey, i made a sale, can you ship this to my customer? so what do you need to start an online boutique? the first thing you need to do is decide what type of clothing you want to sell. do you want to sell clothing for kids? for adults, is there a certain aesthetik? you want to sell cottage core, dark academia, fairy core, or do you want to create your own brand and sell your own designs? deciding this is important for two reasons: one, it's going to determine which supplier you go with, and number two, it's going to help you create a customer avatar. this is information about your target customers, such as their age, where they live, what their interests are and etc. knowing this is super important for your marketing. the next thing you want to choose is a supplier. i have a few different options for you: one's for if you're selling your own designs and ones for if you want to drop ship. you are creating your own brand designs. you will want to go with a print on demand company. the two i'd recommend looking at are printify and printful. when comparing these two, you want to take a few things into account. number one: which one offers the types of products you want to sell. for example, if you sell plus size clothing, you're going to want to make sure that the supplier offers the size range you need if you want embroidery or certain colors. again, those are all things to check for. number two: which one offers the best price? your profit is going to be whatever you sell the product for on your website, minus what you pay the manufacturer for the product, minus shipping. you want to make sure you have enough leftover after all those subtractions to make a profit. number three: which one offers the best shipping time? in the previous step you should have figured out where your target audience lives, so make sure to compare which company is going to offer you the best shipping time to wherever it is you plan to ship. by the way, don't forget to add processing times to your calculations. processing time is the time it takes them to make the clothing item. so processing time plus shipping time is the total time it will take to get to your customer if you are drop shipping. there is cj drop shipping, aliexpress, von mart and more. i'll leave a list of drop shipping suppliers in our description box, but with any of these, just like the print on demand ones, keep price and shipping time in mind. shipping time especially because most drop ship suppliers are notorious for month long waits or more, which is going to make your customers unhappy. all right, you've got your supplier. now it's time to create your website. i recommend signing up with shopify and make sure to get your own custom domain name. shopify will give you a free domain name when you sign up. it will look something like this, but i recommend purchasing a custom domain name to make it look more professional and trustworthy. having a short, easy to remember domain name is going to be very useful for marketing, because with tik tok, for example, you won't be able to add a clickable link until you hit a thousand followers. so having something short and easy to remember in your bio is going to make it much easier for your viewers to visit your store. once you've signed up for shopify, the first thing we're going to do is add our products. you actually don't need to manually add them in yourself. you install your suppliers app, connect it to your shopify store and then it will walk you through how to import your products with a few clicks. all you have to do is click on apps and then type the name of the company you used. so, for example, if you've done print on demand, you would type printify or printful. if you've chosen drop shipping, you would use cj drop shipping or a different drop shipping app. it really just depends on whoever you went with. also, pro tip, if you're doing print on demand, i highly recommend using placeit. with this website, you can place your own designs on any of these photos to show what it would look like. they have a huge library of photos to choose from. you can find photos for hats, leggings, sweatshirts and more. printify and printful do provide you with free photos to use, but if you want to level up, i highly recommend using placeit. all right, now that your products have been added, we are going to work on the design of your store, so you're going to need to select a theme. when making a theme choice, people often go based on looks alone. but put your personal preference aside for a moment. remember your target audience, because ultimately, it is them who's going to be using this website. you want to choose based on what is going to appeal to them. choose something that is easy to navigate, where they can find what they're looking for quickly and what showcases your products the best, especially on mobile. moab is a theme that does all those things, so i highly recommend choosing this theme. there are great free themes out there, but the benefit to going with a paid theme like moab is that it's a turnkey design. it's ready to go and has a lot of amazing features that you don't get with free themes. you don't have to spend hours changing colors, fonts, adding apps. it already comes pre-designed and equipped with all the features you need. it also comes with two different theme presets. moab is the first one, but they also have inner, if you prefer this look instead. typically with free themes, if you want to add something like these color swatches here, you would need to install an app and, depending on what you want to add, some apps you do need to pay for, but with moab it's already built into the theme. it's going to save you a ton of time and this way you know it's done right. as much as we like to think we can design our stores ourselves, the truth is. the end product often doesn't look professional and it can be an extremely long and frustrating process. so save yourself a headache: get molab. all right, i'm going to get everything set up on moab now you can follow along with me. starting from the top, i'm going to select my logo. next we have our hero banner. you can choose a full width banner, a 50: 50 style or a 70: 30 split. moab gives you the choice of adding a photo or a video hero banner. i personally love the look of video banners. i feel it just gives your store a more professional feel, so i'm gonna go with the video option. all i did was upload a video to my shopify files. i copied the link and i pasted it here. i found the video from pexelscom. it's a free stok photo and video website. you're even allowed to use them for commercial purposes, so i high

hey there, if they here and in this video I'm going to tok about drop shipping custom t-shirts versus drop shipping Aliexpress products, and the reason being is that I spend a lot of time on YouTube and a lot of the videos that are popping up for me. lately, our Shopify dropship store owners that are using the trend of print-on-demand custom t-shirts- and pretty much just some of them- are switching from drop shipping all the Express products to the custom t-shirts, and they're claiming to make lots of money, and so I want to look into this for myself and share what I learned with you, in case it is something that you want to experiment with yourself. so just click intro by myself, in case you haven't been to my channel before. my name is Eartha, I am an affiliate marketer and I make it my mission to share what I learned with my own business and what I learned from researching with anyone that wants to start our own online business in order to create another stream of income or to leave their nine-to-five altogether. so, that being said, let's jump in. ok, so right now we're on the principle calm web site and what this website is. it is a print on demand service and it's one of the more popular ones, and what they do is they'll take a design that you've created or have had created by someone else, and they will print it on various types of products. so, of course, the main product that is really trending right now- our t-shirts. so you could create an account here and choose any number of t-shirts that you want. of course, the higher quality they are, the more they go up in price. but let's just start off with this one just as an example. get this regular t-shirt here, and once you have your design, you would click on a mock-up generator and you could proceed to upload a design to a t-shirt to see what it would look like. and you do all that right here and you will click upload file here, upload your design and it will drop it into place. and what's cool about this? what a lot of dropshippers are doing is that they'll connect printful to a Shopify store, and peripheral doesn't just work with Shopify, you can also use it with blue commerce. they are. it is compatible with both. but a lot of people are using Shopify, probably because it's just a lot easier to get started with, and so it will connect. Shopify will hold all of your custom print on demand products for you. when someone places an order, then printful will take the money and go ahead and process the order and then ship it to your customer and you keep whatever the difference is, that is your profit. so, just like drop shipping with Aliexpress, everything is pretty much the same. the big difference here is that you have to come up with the product idea. you have to create the design, and it takes a bit more time trying to figure out something clever for your niche, something that you know will want. people will want to buy that product and for me, that is probably the most challenging part of this whole custom t-shirt drop shipping model. so what I've learned is that if you don't have any graphic design experience, you can head on over to fibre and just type an t-shirt design and you will find a lot of t-shirt designers on here. you just go through and find which one you like, see if they have pretty decent reviews and you just go with it. and once you have your design from whoever you've chosen, you take the files and and then come back to parent flow and upload it and then you have your custom design t-shirt. so what a lot of these dropshippers is doing or not, it's no different than if you were having a dropship store using Aliexpress. you still have to put your product in front of your niche, and so you would just head on over to Instagram and what I was doing here is I was typing in keto, diet, keto, because it's a popular niche, and you just kind of have to go through and research accounts to have, you know, pretty decent size number of followers, like this one, eleven thousand followers. you could contact the cow owner and request, if they do, if your app shout out some of them, well, some of them, um. so it's probably a good idea to find all the Instagram influencers that you want to use before you start creating your custom t-shirts, so that way, you know, you'll have some accounts to market to. so once that happens, then it's just a matter of seeing if your advertising pays off, if the t-shirt is a design that people want and just like anything else. it's just a process of testing. so even if you were to use- you know, sell products from Aliexpress, it's the same thing. you find products within your niche, something that that you know that this niche would be excited about, and then you could do the same thing. Instagram shoutouts, advertising with Facebook ads, it's all the same. so the hardest part, I think with the t-shirts, like I said, it's finding that niche and then finding something trendy, something that's trending, to connect to, let's say, these people that are really into the keto diet, just as an example. you want to create a t-shirt design that's, you know, trendy and would pop someone to buy, and nothing. that's the most challenging part, whereas with Aliexpress, it's pretty simple to just find products within the health and niche that you know they might may find interesting and then, if that product doesn't work out, is where you can just move on to another. so another thing to remember is that with print-on-demand services, you're pretty much limited to just the products that they can print. also, you're looking at, of course, t-shirts with purple. they actually do women's clothing as well, so it's leggings, leggings, skirts and dresses, children's clothing- but for the most part, you're limited to printing on clothing: hats, mugs, pillows- so that's pretty much what your she works. with Aliexpress, you see there's tons of categories, tons of products, millions of products, and so you can just find things that are related to your niche. it's just a lot easier. another thing I'm going to point out is that if you start to look into the custom print on demand, custom t-shirt design as well, and you're browsing YouTube. a lot of the youtubers are, you know. sometimes they're making claims like drop shipping is dead, Aliexpress is dead. well, you know, just take that with a grain of salt, because I can guarantee you they're still running their own aliexpress drop shipping businesses. what a lot of them are doing or they're saying this stuff so that they can help sell their online courses that will teach you how to do the whole print on demand. think so, just be aware of that. I don't feel alley drop ship, drop shipping- sorry ollie, express wrap shipping is that by any means. I think that it's going to continue as long as you know how to choose proper niches and you know how to market. well, I think that there's always going to be demand for products. so if you're interested in the whole custom drop shipping, custom t-shirt dropship and definitely check it out. print for so far, the services that I checked out, I really, really like Princeville and, like I said, it connects off to Shopify and WooCommerce. so, and so you don't want to deal with the monthly Shopify store fees, you can definitely just use WooCommerce because WordPress it's free. you won't have those monthly store feeds and can focus and place your money into advertising again. if you want to have your design, may just check out Fiverr. there's tons of t-shirt designers on here and, just like a marketing any drop shipping service, you have to find influencers on Instagram or use Facebook ads. and don't rule out Aliexpress, because there's tons of products and I wouldn't stress too much a lot of what a lot of youtubers are saying. as well as that, the shipping is from the US. when you do custom drops, custom t-shirts- well, keep in mind that the shippings time still are there- nice, as long, as all expressed- but they're still pretty long, and so it takes two to seven business days to create the product and then a two to five business days for non apparel. so that's two to seven business days.

Stop Selling T-Shirts With Printful On Etsy/Shopify Print On Demand Stores In 2022
what are the biggest problems facing print-on-demand sellers in the year 2022? it's not the continuation of the rising facebook ad costs or even the big mystery around why some people get banned from running facebook ads. it's also not the continuation of the increases to fees on etsy. it's also not the inability by some to actually get approved to sell products on merch by amazon. in fact, the biggest problem facing print-on-demand sellers is the constant promotion of selling t-shirts by some of the most popular youtube channel. in 2019, i made this video here, where i started to tok about not selling t-shirts. in 2020, i made this video here, where i continued to make that point. and in 2021, i continued with more videos trying to tell people not to sell shirt. on those videos, i got comments like these: it's not about the t-shirt or whatever you're selling. people buy your stuff because they like your design. if they like your design, they'll spend that money. or this one guy who failed with shopify and printful is all over youtube toking about nothing. or even this one here for every here is how to make money video. there is a don't do this or you will lose money video and people wonder why everyone is so indecisive and, honestly, the majority of the people that made comments like that likely closed their print-on-demand store a long time ago because it probably didn't work out. there was, however, a lot of really positive comments on those videos that i just referenced, so before you comment on this one, please watch the whole video so that way you can understand exactly what i am trying to say. so now, in 2022, i am still going, and over the last few months inside of my print on demand facebook group, i've been giving tips and keeping people updated as i've scaled one of my newest stores to over six figures in sales. now i certainly don't claim to have all the answers, but what i do try to do is share some of the most up-to-date information about what's working right now with print on demand. a lot of the other channels out there just sort of recycle content about things that they did back in 2017, trying to convince you that those things still work today. now here's the basic premise of what i do with my print-on-demand stores. the first is i need to choose a great niche. this is what gets people interested. secondly, i choose high profit products and then i make a great design, and the key here is: i really do recommend shopify and i recommend people to go all in on paid traffic, whether it's with an instagram ad or a facebook ad. to me, that is the quickest way to make real money with print on demand in the year 2022, and i know there are other ways to sell print on demand products and i'm sure there are people out there that do very well. i will even address some of those other methods in this video today and tok about why i think, as beginners out there, you might not have as much success with those methods. now, before you say what some of the other people on some of those other videos said, keep in mind i started my first print on demand store in 2016.. i eventually had some success with t-shirts in 2017.. i had a store where i was selling shirts. i was using facebook ads, i was using instagram influencers and i was growing my own social media pages to make my sales. i eventually ended up selling that store on something called the shopify store exchange. this is a website where you can list stores for sale. shopify handles the entire transaction to make sure that both sides cannot get ripped off. basically, what i'm saying is: i've had success with shirts. however, it was a long time ago and then something happened. not only were facebook ad costs continuing to rise, but tons of different print on demand companies started to innovate and they started to offer some much cooler product, and when i say cooler, i mean things that customers were going to get much more excited about. i also mean products that were going to make a lot more profit margins for me on my store. now i've been making print-on-demand content and posting about my journey for a while, and i dug up some of these old posts. this one here was made back in 2018, when i started selling hooded blankets from a print-on-demand company called wc fulfillment. over the years, even throughout 2019, 2020 and 2021, and even now, i've continued to try to sell a lot more unique products that make me a lot more profits on my stores. i'm toking about things like car seat covers from the pillow profits print on demand company. toking about all over print hoodies or other oliver printed apparel from companies like printfy or subliminator. toking about print-on-demand jewelry from a print-on-demand company called shine on, and so many more. if you want to check out some of the other videos on my channel, i show some of these awesome products all the time. so this takes us to today, where i'm still making videos like this, and there will definitely be people out there that don't want to hear it. they want to continue to try and sell t-shirts on etsy or on shopify or wherever, and ultimately those people can do what they want. but for those that are interested in learning some things that might be a little bit different than what you're used to hearing, definitely stik around, because in this video i'm going to be breaking down a whole bunch of things that can help you to be successful with some of these higher profit products. so i'm not sure if i actually said this earlier, but my name is joe robert. i make are selling on, whether it is shopify, amazon, etsy, redbubble or anywhere else- they are all saturated. now, this book here was written by someone named dan kennedy, and he is a marketing genius. he toks about a concept called a red ocean, and this, right here, is a red ocean: tons of different sellers, tons of sharks eating all of the fish, causing the water to be red. if you're starting an etsy store in 2022, you're instantly putting yourself in direct competition with hundreds of thousands of other sellers, and if you're doing t-shirts or even mugs, it's likely that your designs look exactly like everybody else's. that's because with those products, it's pretty difficult to make your stuff actually stand out. in this book, he also toks about a concept called a blue ocean, which is an ocean that doesn't have a lot of sharks in it. there's not a lot of blood in the water, which means there is less competition. this to me, in the year 2022, means building your own website where you are actually off on your own and you're not competing with everybody else on a platform for limited amounts of organic traffic. what i would say to do from there is to build your own communities on social media and go all in on driving paid traffic to your store. some of the biggest print on demand stores out there are doing just that, and one of the keys to actually succeeding with that method is choosing better products, things that make you more profits, and avoiding things like a t-shirt or a mug. now let's break this down. earlier, i mentioned that facebook ad costs have been rising. this certainly doesn't mean that we cannot use them. it just means that we need to do things a little bit differently than we did back in 2017.. it means we just have to adapt and choose new products and get out of our comfort zone and get away from some of the things that we are so used to seeing when it comes to print on demand product. take a look at this study here it shows on aver.

[Music]. so today we're covering the difference between aliexpress drop shipping business and the print-on-demand custom merch business, and it looks like I spelled dropshipping wrong. so we want to fix that and we can fix Aliexpress, because I think I'll Express this one word: okay. so let's get started. let's tok about this and let's compare these business models. which one is the most easy to get started?
