00:00:44 00:00:48 want to tok about why sending it to a
00:00:46 00:00:51 sales funnel actually converts better
00:00:48 00:00:53 right because I want to I want you to do
00:00:51 00:00:55 me a favor guys I want you to go into
00:00:53 00:00:57 your Shopify stats and I want to go tell
00:00:55 00:01:01 me what your conversion rate is I can
00:00:57 00:01:05 merely bet that most of you most of you
00:01:01 00:01:07 if not literally 99% of you are under a
00:01:05 00:01:09 four percent conversion rate probably
00:01:07 00:01:11 most of you are at two percent that's
00:01:09 00:01:13 usually the average all right usually
00:01:11 00:01:16 pretend like one point six and like two
00:01:13 00:01:19 percent average conversion rate on a
00:01:16 00:01:23 Shopify store front and I have a theory
00:01:19 00:01:27 on why it is like that guys and usually
00:01:23 00:01:28 usually on a sales funnel guys your
00:01:27 00:01:31 conversion rates going to be closer to
00:01:28 00:01:32 eight percent seven eight percent is
00:01:31 00:01:33 from what I found especially when you
00:01:32 00:01:37 got your targeting and all that good
00:01:33 00:01:40 stuff down why is that well here's my
00:01:37 00:01:42 theory on why traffic is always gonna
00:01:40 00:01:44 convert better through a funnel compared
00:01:42 00:01:47 to a storefront okay like a Shopify
00:01:44 00:01:50 store right and the reason that happens
00:01:47 00:01:53 guys is because when you send somebody
00:01:50 00:01:55 to a Shopify store even if you send them
00:01:53 00:01:57 to your product page literally exactly
00:01:55 00:02:01 your exact product page where you want
00:01:57 00:02:03 them to buy people get confused okay and
00:02:01 00:02:05 they don't understand what to do next
00:02:03 00:02:07 okay there's a bunch of options and they
00:02:05 00:02:09 see your related product they click
00:02:07 00:02:12 around and then the next thing you know
00:02:09 00:02:13 they're gone okay and that's the
00:02:12 00:02:16 difference without us it with a sales
00:02:13 00:02:20 funnel when you send some traffic to a
00:02:16 00:02:21 sales funnel guys there's only a few
00:02:20 00:02:23 options at the page
00:02:21 00:02:26 these people okay your potential
00:02:23 00:02:27 customers first step one enter your
00:02:26 00:02:31 email address on the opt-in page or
00:02:27 00:02:33 leave okay there they answer their email
00:02:31 00:02:35 address that is called a micro
00:02:33 00:02:38 commitment they have now committed a
00:02:35 00:02:40 small little task like that and said yes
00:02:38 00:02:42 to adding in their email address and
00:02:40 00:02:44 giving it to you right this is all
00:02:42 00:02:46 psychology now right that's a micro
00:02:44 00:02:48 commitment level on their brain that
00:02:46 00:02:51 they said yes who finally you know I'll
00:02:48 00:02:54 give them my email address now they
00:02:51 00:02:56 might get to the order form page right
00:02:54 00:03:01 now the order form pages are very very
00:02:56 00:03:02 simple guys it has maybe a few uh a few
00:03:01 00:03:04 maybe a few more pictures and a couple
00:03:02 00:03:08 details about your product but there's
00:03:04 00:03:10 only one product right there is one
00:03:08 00:03:12 product for them to choose from it's not
00:03:10 00:03:14 like you see any other related products
00:03:12 00:03:15 on the page yeah you might have an order
00:03:14 00:03:17 bump but there's no picture of the order
00:03:15 00:03:19 up there's nothing there there's an
00:03:17 00:03:21 order bump that might just say hey you
00:03:19 00:03:22 know again expedited shipping or you
00:03:21 00:03:24 know add a limited edition version of
00:03:22 00:03:26 the product or whatever right but
00:03:24 00:03:29 there's only everything on that order
00:03:26 00:03:31 page revolves around one product there's
00:03:29 00:03:33 no distractions anywhere else there's no
00:03:31 00:03:35 links out right the only option this
00:03:33 00:03:37 person has is either give me that credit
00:03:35 00:03:39 card information and get the product or
00:03:37 00:03:42 get out that's the beauty with the
00:03:39 00:03:44 Samsung each step is a yes or no
00:03:42 00:03:47 question it's a one or two zero okay
00:03:44 00:03:49 there is no other options okay and
00:03:47 00:03:50 that's how it needs to be in e-commerce
00:03:49 00:03:53 people's attention spans are way too
00:03:50 00:03:55 short right now it's like a second long
00:03:53 00:03:58 so if you give them more options I got a
00:03:55 00:03:59 yes or no and then a maybe most of them
00:03:58 00:04:01 are gonna choose maybe and that's what
00:03:59 00:04:03 happens when you send them to a Shopify
00:04:01 00:04:05 store guys most people are saying maybe
00:04:03 00:04:07 later maybe I'll do this later with a
00:04:05 00:04:09 sales funnel you're not letting that
00:04:07 00:04:11 stuff happen right they create a micro
00:04:09 00:04:13 commitment on your opt-in page right
00:04:11 00:04:14 they gave you an email address now they
00:04:13 00:04:16 gets a second page and they see all the
00:04:14 00:04:18 different options of product quantities
00:04:16 00:04:19 they can buy for your for your for your
00:04:18 00:04:23 product or whatever you're offering
00:04:19 00:04:24 right that's it it's that easy all right
00:04:23 00:04:26 and that's what they make that logical
00:04:24 00:04:28 decision or emotional decision if you
00:04:26 00:04:30 did your marketing right hopefully
00:04:28 00:04:32 they're saying yes emotionally right and
00:04:30 00:04:34 validating it logically on why they need
00:04:32 00:04:36 this product all right and they
00:04:34 00:04:39 by the by your product right they say
00:04:36 00:04:41 yes right now they get to your upsell
00:04:39 00:04:43 pages right and that's exactly it's so
00:04:41 00:04:46 simple your upsell pages our yeses or
00:04:43 00:04:48 knows there's nothing else that needs to
00:04:46 00:04:49 be on these pages guys there's nothing
00:04:48 00:04:52 else that needs to be on these pages
00:04:49 00:04:54 it's a yes or no question do you want
00:04:52 00:04:56 that product extra product or do not
00:04:54 00:04:59 want the extra product okay that's it
00:04:56 00:05:01 don't clutter it up and confuse people
00:04:59 00:05:03 with other links to external sites or
00:05:01 00:05:06 anything you just need to be simple the
00:05:03 00:05:07 only place the only place I always tell
00:05:06 00:05:09 my students especially the ones in six
00:05:07 00:05:11 share your phone it's the only place I
00:05:09 00:05:13 want you to ever link externally out or
00:05:11 00:05:15 tok about other products is on your
00:05:13 00:05:18 Thank You page on your Thank You page
00:05:15 00:05:20 yes you can put down different affiliate
00:05:18 00:05:24 up affiliate offers that you might have
00:05:20 00:05:25 you might want to do um you know point
00:05:24 00:05:26 them to a different sales funnel of
00:05:25 00:05:29 yours main point them to your Shopify
00:05:26 00:05:30 store at that point at that point we can
00:05:29 00:05:32 send it to our Shopify server because
00:05:30 00:05:33 they've said yes so many times to us so
00:05:32 00:05:36 if we give them a good deal say hey you
00:05:33 00:05:37 know here's a 20% coupon for our entire
00:05:36 00:05:40 store it's valid for next eight hours
00:05:37 00:05:42 make sure you go use it now right that's
00:05:40 00:05:45 when they will go now to your Shopify
00:05:42 00:05:46 store and buy from you then alright so I
00:05:45 00:05:49 hope that makes sense guys because
00:05:46 00:05:51 literally when you set when you give
00:05:49 00:05:52 people too many options right they're
00:05:51 00:05:54 usually not going to choose the option
00:05:52 00:05:58 that you want that's the unfortunate
00:05:54 00:06:01 truth of this stuff especially when
00:05:58 00:06:05 you're running you know a shop of ice or
00:06:01 00:06:07 forend funnels as well right typically
00:06:05 00:06:10 right guys the funnel the funnel will
00:06:07 00:06:12 convert a lot better for you especially
00:06:10 00:06:14 with your code traffic there you should
00:06:12 00:06:16 never be anything anyway that you're
00:06:14 00:06:18 acquiring new customers every single one
00:06:16 00:06:20 of them should be going through a funnel
00:06:18 00:06:21 guys all of your new customers should be
00:06:20 00:06:23 going through a funnel any of your paid
00:06:21 00:06:26 traffic sources should be going through
00:06:23 00:06:29 a sales funnel it will convert better
00:06:26 00:06:32 for you I promise you that okay
00:06:29 00:06:33 most people guys and I repeat this all
00:06:32 00:06:34 the time when you send them to that
00:06:33 00:06:36 Shopify store they're just gonna even if
00:06:34 00:06:38 they do convert and even if they do say
00:06:36 00:06:40 yes to your product they're just gonna
00:06:38 00:06:43 buy one and they're gonna be out there
00:06:40 00:06:45 leaving your store okay at least with
00:06:43 00:06:47 the sales funnel you're able to not only
00:06:45 00:06:48 break even you're making three
00:06:47 00:06:50 time's the money then what would you do
00:06:48 00:06:52 you would do actually just three point
00:06:50 00:06:54 four times the average cart value of
00:06:52 00:06:55 what you'd see in a Shopify store
00:06:54 00:06:57 because you have order bumps you have
00:06:55 00:06:58 quantities of your products that you can
00:06:57 00:07:00 literally put in the face of your
00:06:58 00:07:02 customer right then you have different
00:07:00 00:07:04 upsells sequence and down sell sequences
00:07:02 00:07:06 okay that's what I want you guys to
00:07:04 00:07:08 understand that's why it's so so so
00:07:06 00:07:10 important to be using sales funnels guys
00:07:08 00:07:13 because when you run Facebook ads or
00:07:10 00:07:15 whatever think about it if you if you
00:07:13 00:07:19 have three times extra now average cart
00:07:15 00:07:20 value your maintenance of revenue so now
00:07:19 00:07:22 you're not only going to be able to
00:07:20 00:07:23 easily pay for the traffic that you're
00:07:22 00:07:24 paying for it through Facebook Ads
00:07:23 00:07:25 you're gonna easily be able to pay for
00:07:24 00:07:26 the product cost and you're finally
00:07:25 00:07:29 actually gonna be able to pay for
00:07:26 00:07:30 yourself that's wait you're not gonna be
00:07:29 00:07:32 able to do that with a Shopify store if
00:07:30 00:07:34 they just keep buying one product or
00:07:32 00:07:35 even two product right they're not going
00:07:34 00:07:38 to be able you're not gonna be able to
00:07:35 00:07:39 pay for it right you're not you're
00:07:38 00:07:40 actually gonna be losing weight that's
00:07:39 00:07:43 why most people that get into drop
00:07:40 00:07:45 shipping and fall for this belief to go
00:07:43 00:07:46 through a Shopify store they're actually
00:07:45 00:07:50 losing money and that's why most
00:07:46 00:07:51 businesses in Shopify fail literally
00:07:50 00:07:54 because you're not controlling the sales
00:07:51 00:07:56 process for your customer right and when
00:07:54 00:07:58 there's an option out there to use this
00:07:56 00:08:00 house one where it's literally proven
00:07:58 00:08:03 that your conversion rates are going to
00:08:00 00:08:04 be double make sure you take advantage
00:08:03 00:08:07 of that especially with the average cart
00:08:04 00:08:10 values being so high in sales funnels
00:08:07 00:08:12 compared to a Shopify service but I hope

00:08:14 00:08:19 well it's that that's why because you're
00:08:17 00:08:21 it's a yes or no questions on every

00:08:21 00:08:26 a sale son all besides to say yes or no
00:08:24 00:08:28 and I want to tok about one quick thing
00:08:26 00:08:29 here and this is also um we're heading
00:08:28 00:08:33 up about eight minutes here but it's
00:08:29 00:08:36 cool two-step order forms the reason
00:08:33 00:08:39 two-step order forms work as well as
00:08:36 00:08:40 they do right and usually listen guys if
00:08:39 00:08:43 you're doing in two set order form do
00:08:40 00:08:45 not do not use an opt-in page like if
00:08:43 00:08:47 you do an opt-in page and then it leads
00:08:45 00:08:49 to a two-step order form don't do that
00:08:47 00:08:49 don't not do that that's that's that's
00:08:49 00:08:51 bad
00:08:49 00:08:52 with the two-step order form you want
00:08:51 00:08:54 them to land on the two-step order form
00:08:52 00:08:56 and that's it because you're gonna be
00:08:54 00:08:58 collecting the lead right from there and
00:08:56 00:08:59 the reason two-step order forms
00:08:58 00:09:02 if you don't know what a 2-step order
00:08:59 00:09:03 form is it's basically two pages on like
00:09:02 00:09:05 a little basically on the first page you
00:09:03 00:09:06 say what is your what's your shipmate
00:09:05 00:09:08 what's your email on what your shipping
00:09:06 00:09:10 information and then when they click and
00:09:08 00:09:12 go to step two down step - that's where
00:09:10 00:09:13 it's going to show you they're going to
00:09:12 00:09:15 be asked to put in their credit card
00:09:13 00:09:16 information and select what products
00:09:15 00:09:20 they want that's what the order bump
00:09:16 00:09:21 will be shown as well but the reason to
00:09:20 00:09:23 set order forms to convert so well is
00:09:21 00:09:26 because of that micro commitment right
00:09:23 00:09:28 most people and yes it's a very sneaky
00:09:26 00:09:29 little tack that guys will to set board
00:09:28 00:09:30 for because you're getting all that
00:09:29 00:09:33 customers information right you're
00:09:30 00:09:34 getting their their name you're getting
00:09:33 00:09:37 their email address you're getting their
00:09:34 00:09:39 whole detailed location address so when
00:09:37 00:09:40 they go to step two they may or may not
00:09:39 00:09:42 have known that they're gonna have to
00:09:40 00:09:44 pay for that shipping price or whatever
00:09:42 00:09:45 or paid they thought they might have
00:09:44 00:09:48 been getting that product completely for
00:09:45 00:09:50 free they've already committed to
00:09:48 00:09:51 putting in their shipping information
00:09:50 00:09:53 that they're just gonna be like you know
00:09:51 00:09:55 what - I'll just buy there Eddie got my
00:09:53 00:09:57 shipping information I might as well get
00:09:55 00:09:58 this thing that's why two-step order
00:09:57 00:10:00 forms convert as well as they do but
00:09:58 00:10:02 make sure you're not doing like a double
00:10:00 00:10:04 opt-in sort of thing where you have an
00:10:02 00:10:06 opt-in page leading to a two-step order
00:10:04 00:10:08 form I did that once before my
00:10:06 00:10:10 conversions were actually lower just
00:10:08 00:10:12 send them to a direct sales page that
00:10:10 00:10:14 has your to set border form on it one
00:10:12 00:10:16 single sales page explaining your
00:10:14 00:10:17 product benefits features or whatever
00:10:16 00:10:19 all that good stuff but that's two
00:10:17 00:10:23 separate forms do typically convert
00:10:19 00:10:25 better because especially in terms of
00:10:23 00:10:26 after they put in the lead-in for after
00:10:25 00:10:28 they put in their information and see
00:10:26 00:10:31 that step two you're typically going to
00:10:28 00:10:33 see most more people are going to take
00:10:31 00:10:35 you up on that offer and purchase so
