The Diva Curl Controversy:

- Women are experiencing hair loss after using Diva Curl products.

- The Curly Girl Method, which involves not using shampoo, could be a contributing factor to the issue.

- The author advises using a cleansing method with a surfactant like cocoamidopropyl betaine or decyl glucoside.

The article is discussing the controversy surrounding the Diva Curl hair care products and their no poo methodology, which involves using conditioner only washing instead of traditional shampoo. The author explains that while there is no direct evidence that co-washing with conditioner is harmful, there are issues with not adequately cleansing the scalp and hair shafts, such as increased dandruff, inflammation, and hair breakage. The author also discusses the potential risks of using other methods such as baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and tea tree oil, and emphasizes the importance of properly cleansing the scalp and hair. Title: My Complete Wash and Go Routine for Defined, Bouncy Curls

Hey guys! In this video, I'm going to show you my complete wash and go routine, from the shower all the way to refreshing my curls the next day. Let's get started!

Shower Routine:

1. Massage scalp under warm water to loosen up any product buildup.

2. Use Diva Curls Decadence No-Poo to cleanse scalp without stripping hair.

3. Apply more No-Poo and massage scalp for 2-3 minutes. Do not scrub ends to avoid friction and dryness.

4. Rinse with warm water.

5. Apply Deep Conditioner mixed with olive oil, sugar, rosemary or peppermint oil to scalp and hair for 30 minutes before wash and go.

6. Rinse hair with coldest water possible, scrunch hair instead of running fingers through to avoid breakage.

Detangling:

1. Separate hair into two sections.

2. Apply conditioner as needed and finger detangle from ends up.

3. Flip hair and blend the two sides together.

4. Let conditioner sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Styling:

1. Smooth in Innersense Organics Curl Control Cream.

2. Brush in sections for more definition.

3. Apply Flax Creme Texturizer to edges, back, and ends.

4. Use Bounce Curl Light Cream Gel for hold without weighing down hair.

5. Diffuse for 10 minutes, lifting each layer of hair to keep curls separated.

6. Let air dry for 45 minutes before scrunching to remove crunchiness.

7. Fluff and separate curls until desired volume is achieved.

Refresh:

1. Massage scalp with lavender oil.

2. Spritz dry areas with water and lavender oil.

3. Fluff and separate curls.

4. Repeat daily until next wash and go.

This wash and go routine may take a while, but it's worth it for defined, bouncy curls. Don't forget to use products that work for your hair type and avoid excessive manipulation to prevent breakage. Thanks for watching!
