How To Dropship On Shopify Using Alibaba.com In 2022 (Step By Step)

i've been able to generate sales like this from my shopify store by finding suppliers on alibabacom- either drop shipping or import in stok- and that's exactly what i'm going to be showing you in today's video. let's go. [Music]. what's going on, people? welcome back to my channel if you're new. my name is sam and what i do here is break down various different tips and tricks when it comes to making money online. but in today's video, what i'm going to be doing is jumping into the laptop and going through a couple things that you need to know when it comes to finding suppliers to use on alibabacom. if you want to start drop shipping. but if you don't necessarily want to do drop shipping and you want to import the stok and ship it out yourself, i'm also going to be touching on some things that you need to know if you want to go down that route. as always, i don't want to waste any more time. i want to jump straight into it. so if you find any value in the video at any point, don't forget to press the like button. don't forget to subscribe, hit the bell notification. let's get right into the video. so if you're thinking about starting an e-commerce business this year, i believe that alibabacom is one of the best places to go to, reason being is because you're going to be able to connect with thousands of different suppliers all around the world. i've been using alibabacom to find suppliers for the products that i've been selling through my e-commerce store for the past eight years now, and not only are you going to be able to connect with various different suppliers all around the world, you're also going to be able to build up a long-term relationship with whatever supply that you find. some of the manufacturers and the suppliers that i found on alibabacom, i actually found them many, many years ago- more than six, seven, eight years ago- and i'm still using them, too, today. so i believe that it's a great website to go to if you are looking to find a long-term supplier. but if you're looking to start a drop shipping business in 2022, what you're going to do is go into the homepage just like this: so i'm on alibabacom and then you're going to scroll down to this section here where it says drop shipping, and then, once you're on this page, what you can do if you already know the product that you want to drop ship, is that you can type it in this section here. but if you don't necessarily know what product to sell, you can also come to this section here where it says top ranked products and then from here you can click on whatever category you want to. so we've got apparel, consumer electronics, home and gardens, using accessories, but when it comes to the products that i like to sell, i like to focus on consumer electronics. so what i'm going to do is click on it right here and then, once you're on this page, you're gonna see that all the products are ranked from number one, number two, number three, so on and so forth. so what i personally like to do if i'm not sure what product to sell is i like to look for a product that i know that i'm going to be able to sell and make a decent profit. so that means that the product needs to sell for at least minimum 15, because i know that i'm going to be able to mark up the price and there's going to be a decent profit margin there. so i'm just going to scroll through and see if i can find a product that meets this criteria. all right, so i found this product right here that looks like a three in one wireless charger for iphones and things like that, and i've notiked over the past couple months that this partikular item has been trending. i've been seeing a lot of sellers making a lot of money from it, so let me just click into it and get a little bit more information. all right, so, as you can see, this is how it works. you basically put your iphone there and it charges that, and it can also charge your airpods, and it charges iphone watches too, or i watch it, sorry. so it's definitely a useful product and it's definitely an item that a lot of people are going to be searching for. so what i'm going to do now is go over to google shopping and double check whether or not there's other sellers and other companies that are selling this exact same item that can be found on alibabacom. so i'm going to go over there now and show you exactly what i look out for, because it's very important when it comes to me deciding on what products i should be drop shipping. all right, so we can see all of these different wireless chargers that are being advertised, and this one looks very similar to the one that we're looking at on alibabacom, so let me just jump back over there to make sure that it's the exact same one? because, if it is, there's going to be a lot of money to be made, because this seller is selling it for 45 pounds. yeah, more or less it's basically looking like the same item, and we can actually buy it from the supplier on alibabacom for 13.50. so let me just jump back over to google shopping and do a little bit more research. i'm just going to click into the actual website. so this is the website that's currently selling the same charger that we can find on alibabacom, and they're selling it for 59. however, on alibabacom, as you've already seen, we can actually buy it for 13.. so there's a decent profit margin there to be made if we did want to sell this partikular product now. by the way, guys, i'm using this as an example. i'm not saying that you should go away and sell wireless three-in-one chargers. you can do so if you want to, because there's no way that a seller is going to pay for google shopping ads if they're not making any money, because the way that google shopping ads work is that whenever a customer is searching for any item on google, all of these different images that you can see right here, all of these different sellers are paying for their product to be promoted on google, and once a customer clicks on any one of these images, automatikally the seller is going to get charged an ad fee, and there's no way that any of these sellers are going to be paying all of this money for them to be promoted on google shopping if they're not making money, which means that there's an opportunity for us to also make money and advertise the same product that we found on alibabacom. so there's two things that you need to double check before you decide on selling any product. you need to double check the processing time, in terms of how long the supplier is going to take to ship out the order, and you also need to double check the delivery time as well. these are the two most important things that you need to double check when deciding on any one of the suppliers that alibabacom has available. so the way that you check that is by looking at this section right here. as we can see, this supplier that we're looking at right now is currently offering a processing time of four days, which is not too bad, because there's other sellers that are offering 15 days- you know 20 days. so four days is definitely decent, and they may do it within that time as well, and the way that you check how long it's going to take for the customer to actually receive the item is by clicking on this option right here, where it says change. so the key things to do once you're on this page is to make sure that you've selected the right location in terms of the ship to location, and you also need to make sure that you're happy with the estimated delivery date by looking at this section right here. so if you don't necessarily want to dropship the item because you don't want your customer to have to wait a lot of days to receive the item, what you can do in that case is go back over to the main alibabacom homepage and from this point, you're going to have two different options. option number one is that you're going to be able to find a supplier that will be able to ship you the goods in bulk. by doing it this way, you're going to be able to send out the orders to your customers by yourself, and you're going to be able to offer your customers one to two day ship.

How to Dropship from Alibaba to Shopify (2023)

in today's video I'm going to be showing you how you can start Drop Shipping using alibabacom. so I'll be showing you how you can connect your Shopify store to your alibabacom account, how you can sync products from alibabacom to your Shopify store and how you can manage and automate the order fulfillment process. now you might be thinking: isn't alibabacom just for purchasing in bulk? well, that's not true anymore, with alibabacom's Drop Shipping Center. now let me go over a few reasons why you might want to actually use alibabacom to start Drop Shipping now. the first reason is the price. so sometimes you might want to drop ship a product from AliExpress, but you can actually find it cheaper on alibabacom. so if I show you this example here, we can see that we have this product, this 360 selfie stik, and you can see that the brand is usam's. now you can see, with free shipping to the UK, it's 32 pound. now the exact same product. so if we click on this, you can see this is usam's again and this is on alibabacom. and you can see shipping with shipping to the UK it's 28.80 and if we just convert that over, that's 25 pounds 50.. so on alibabacom it's going to cost you 25 pounds 50. on AliExpress, it's going to cost you 32 pounds, so that's a massive six pounds 50 difference. now, if you think about that, over a hundred orders, that's 650 pounds, which is a big chunk of profit. so that's the first reason why you might want to have a look on alibabacom when it comes to starting Drop Shipping and looking for Drop Shipping suppliers. the second reason is product selection. if you can't find a product that you want to drop ship on AliExpress, you might be able to find it on alibabacom. they have a wide selection of products that you can drop ship, and if you are Drop Shipping using a different supplier, it means that the product might be less saturated, meaning you'll have less competition when it actually comes to drop shipping the product, which makes it easier to actually make sales. and the final reason is a lot of the general public now know about AliExpress. so if they see a product they sound they can sometimes just go over to AliExpress and see if they can find it cheaper, whereas the general perception of alibabacom is that it's still for businesses and that it is still for buying in bulk. so a lot of people won't actually go and check over there, which once again makes it easier for you to make sales. so let's actually get started with how you can use alibabacom to start Drop Shipping. so the first thing you are going to do is just head over to dropshippingaliburcom- I will leave a link in the description and from here you are going to create an account. so where it says sign in, we are going to right click on this and I'm just going to open this in a new tab. once you've clicked on this, you are going to click on join for free and then you are just going to fill out this information: so your email address, your mobile number, company name, full name and Company address. once you have entered this information in, you can just click on agree and register. they will then ask you to verify your email address with the code that they have sent to you. so just enter in that code and hit submit. once you do that, you will be brought by to the alibabacom Drop Shipping Center. so it should look a little something like this: now the first thing you are going to do is connect your Shopify store to your alibabacom Drop Shipping account. so up the top here, we are going to click on this menu and we're going to scroll down and we are going to click on my store from here. we are going to add our Shopify store, so we are going to click on ADD store and then you can go and enter in the URL of your store. when you are entering in your store URL, just remember to remove the https and double slashes, because sometimes Alibaba can't recognize it, so it should just be the name of your Shopify store and then you can click on ADD store. you will then be asked to log in to your Shopify store and once you have logged into your Shopify store, it will bring you to a page like this that says: install the Alibaba app. so we are going to install the Drop Shipping on alibabacom app, so just click on install app. once you have installed the app, you will see your store under store management, so that means your store is connected now. so the next thing that you can go and do is to sync a product from alibabacom to your Shopify store. so in order to do this, you can click on search products. from here. you can search for any products that you want to start dropshipping and importing to your Shopify store. so I'm just going to go and search for a tracking selfie stik and click search and I'm going to go for this first product here. so we are going to click on this product and from here what you can do is you can click on add to import list. it will then say import completed. so then you can click on go to import list. from the import list you can edit the product further before you push it to your Shopify store. so if we scroll down and click on this pencil icon, you can go and edit the product name, add some product tags, choose the product type and also choose a collection from your Shopify store. so you can see I've called this the pivo Pod. so if we go and copy this, I can go and enter this into the product name. you can also go and choose a collection. so I'm just going to go and choose the home page. you can also go and edit the description so you can go and make sure that it matches the description on your actual store. so I'm just going to go and copy this description and you can go and edit all of this. so I'm just going to delete all of this, because this is information that comes directly from Alibaba, so it might look a little bit weird on your Shopify store. so I recommend to rewrite the product description completely. so we're just going to go for this for now. but, as I say, you can go and rewrite your product description, then you have the variants, so you can go and choose the variants and from here you can actually go and choose the price that you want to sell it at and it will tell you the profit. now, of course, I recommend to go and round your prices to the closest 99, so you can see on here it's 139.99, so I can go and enter that in here- 139.99- and then it's going to tell me my profit, which is 113 pounds and 60 Pence. so now that you have gone and done that, you can then just go to the images and you can go and delete any of the images that you don't want, so you can just untik them. if you don't want to use these images, so you can simply untik them like that. so once you have gone and edited all of that information, then you can simply just click on push to store and then it will say: push succeeded. so once you have gone and done that, you can go to my products and then you should see that the product has been pushed to your Shopify store. now you can actually go and view the product in your Shopify store now. so if you click on view install and from here you can see the product that has been pushed, now from here you can also go and edit the product further. so, again, if you want to go and edit the product description or any of the images, you can go and do this from your Shopify dashboard as well. so now that I've shown you how you can go and sync products, the next thing I want to show you is how you can fulfill orders automatikally using alibabacom. so once somebody does make an order on your Shopify store, you can go to orders and you will see all of your orders. so once you see an order here, you can then head over to your alibabacom dropshipping Center and then you can click on my orders. from here you will see all of the orders that have come through from your Shopify store and you can go and simply fulfill these orders. so you can click on this to go and click on batch order if you have multiple different orders, and you can simply click on batch order and pay for all of the orders at once, or you can go and order them individually. now some might say shipping info.

How to Start a BRANDED Dropshipping Business Using AliBaba (2023)

i recently launched my dropshipping e-commerce brand and managed to generate over four thousand dollars in a few days using influencer marketing. in today's video, i'm going to be showing you the exact supplier that i used. that will allow you to set up your own dropshipping ecommerce brand with your logo printed on the product, with a minimum order quantity of one or two. so if you've got a kind of tight budget but you want to start your very own drop shipping e-commerce brand, then this is going to be the video for you. so let's get straight into it. so here is the exact supplier that i used for my drop shipping e-commerce brand: ringcast, which is a wrinkle removal device. so i did find them on alibaba and it literally took me days and days of trailing through supplies to actually come across them. but i'm really happy i have because, like i say, they've got some really amazing products that you can drop ship with your logo on, with a minimum order quantity of one or two, so you don't have to invest loads up front in purchasing lots of inventory. so if we go and scroll down, i will leave a link in the description to bji tiknology and we can go and have a look at some of their products. now they are better if you want to create a one product store around one partikular product. so, like i've done exactly here with wincast, you can see this is the wrinkle removal device and you can see that they have it exactly here. so for this product i had to start with a minimum order quantity of two pieces, but for a lot of their products they will allow you to start with one piece. so you can see, this is my one product store. like i say it, they are best used when you are trying to create a brand around one single product. and if you're interested in how i actually created this, i did use the sweet funnels theme, which is the best theme for creating one product stores. so if we go back to the bji supply, you can see they literally have hundreds of products in loads of different niches. mostly- well, all of them- are in the tiknology nice niche, but they are mostly sort of related to beauty. some are related to health and things like that. so you can go on here. like i said, i'll leave a link in the description. you can go and have a look at all of the different products that they have. now if we scroll up to the top we can click on products and we can click on see all categories. now you don't have to click on drop shipping, because sometimes it does filter out some of their products. so i recommend just to leave it on all products and just ignore the products where you need to order a minimum of 100 pieces, let's say. but what you can do is you can go and filter by new and you will see all of the new products that bji are releasing, and they release new products every month. so this will help to keep you ahead of the curve of your competition, because you can come on here and you can start launching some of their new products as soon as they release them, with your own logo on, and build a proper brand around the product, like i said, exactly how i have done here, and i do have a full case study video on how i actually launched this brand and generated over four thousand dollars with influencer marketing. now i also have a feeling that some massive brands are using this supplier, or at least have used it when they first started out. so if we have a look at this product here, this ipl hair removal device, if we go over to this store, which is hey, silky skin, and these are a massive ecommerce, e-commerce shopify brand and they're generating hundreds of thousands every month with their brand and you can see it's the exact same product that we can see on the bji tiknology supplier. so i reckon, now that they probably have, now they're generating so much in revenue and making so many sales, they probably have purchased a bulk inventory, maybe from a cheaper supplier, but when they first started out, they probably just started using one at a time to make it a lot cheaper. and if we go and have a look at their instagram, they literally have hundreds of influencers promoting their product. so that is an example of how you can use this supplier to build a one product store just like this and build your very own e-commerce brand around it. now you're probably wondering: are there any setup fees or anything like that? well, when i first started my ringcast e-commerce brand, i had to pay a 25 setup fee. this was last year. so they create a mold of your logo and they use that mode to print it on all of the products. so you do have to pay that 25 setup fee. i'm not exactly sure how much it is now. like i said, this was last year it was 25. it might be a little bit more now, but it shouldn't be anything too expensive. and then for my partikular product i had to purchase two, but let's just say for one of these cheaper products. so let's go and have a look at one. that's only one. so, for example, this one you can get for one piece. so twenty dollars plus a twenty five dollar setup fee. you're looking at around fifty dollars to start your very own e-commerce plan. so it's super cheap to get started with them. you can just click on the product or you can just click on contact supplier. so if we do click on the partikular product and then from here you can click on contact supplier and you can say: i want to start printing my logo on this product, you send them an adobe illustrator file of your logo and they will go and print it for you on the product. and then you just have to simply pay through alibaba, and paying through alibaba is super secure, so you're not going to get ripped off or anything like that, and i've used this supplier quite extensively so i can verify that they are a reliable supplier. now you're probably wondering about how do you actually fulfill orders as well with bji, seeing as it's not like connecting to a shopify store with oberlo back in the days or de-esses or something like that. well, it's actually very simple to go and fulfill orders with them. all you have to do from your shopify dashboard: you just go and click on export on your orders and then you can go and export orders by date, or you can just go and select all orders. for example, i'm just going to go for a plain csv file, so this is like an excel file, and then all you need to do is click on export orders. once your orders have been exported, they will be exported to an excel file that looks like this. now, what you're going to want to then do is just go and get rid of any columns that aren't necessary for the supplier. so all the suppliers really going to want to see is the shipping details. so you'll see up the top here we have the name, the email, the financial status, when it was paid, all of this stuff. you can just go and get rid of this. so what you can do is you can go and select all of the columns that you don't need. so i'm just going to go and select all of these columns up until we see shipping address and shipping name, then you can just click on right click and you can just click on hide and then, once again, you will see the ones after this. so, just after notes, i'm going to go and select all of these and, once again, once we have selected all of these columns that aren't necessary for the supplier to see, then we can right click and we can just hit hide. so once you have done that, you will see all of the shipping details. so we can just double click to make them a bit bigger. so now we have shipping name, shipping street shipping address one, shipping address two. so all of these details have been taken from the shopify orders that we exported. so now let's just make these a bit bigger and then we can scroll across and what we can do is we can add an extra column. so i'm just going to go and add another column so instead of notes, we can just go and put in this column tracking number. so once you've added that tracking number column to your excel sheet of all of your shopify orders, then you can just go over to alibaba and go to the message center and then you can go and message your contact from bji. so once you purc.

How to negotiate with suppliers on Alibaba - Shopify Dropshipping

listen up. if you don't have 45 seconds, like me, mate alex becker says you can head off and go do the dishes or something. no, seriously, guys, this video is all about toking to aliexpress suppliers and the best practikes you need to know when toking to these people, because, time and time again, it's only when you're, it's only when you've been dealing with these type people for a year or two that you realize there is a bit, there's a bit of skill that goes involved and if you don't have these certain skills- and they're going to sense that and you're not going to get a good price. okay, so you need to get the best price possible when you're sourcing your products, right, so make sure you watch this video right the way through, because you are definitely going to get some value from. i was only thinking about this today. i might as well make a video while i was toking to one of these suppliers for the new store that i'm building. okay, because it's just funny how they all operate and they're just so different to us suppliers, which i do prefer dealing with, and they're just easier to deal with. their. it's better communication and there's there's less fluff. with chinese suppliers. there's a lot of fluff and you have to. it takes a while to. it's like a. it's like you have to go around circles for a while. you do not want to waste any time when toking to supporters? okay, you want to. you want to minimize that amount of time. you want to get to what you do best, which is selling facebook ads marketing. okay, so let's jump into the boys and we'll just go over a few things. okay, so i quickly just want to announce the winner of the last consulting call, and that is john dennis. so well done to you. put your name up here. if you want to win the consulting call for this video, just comment master plan in the comment section, subscribe to the channel, turn on the notification bell and then you'll be entered when i'm gonna announce the winner in the next video. so stay tuned for that also. okay, so i'm just gonna take you through a conversation i was having today with a chinese employer, right? so actually, this product on aliexpress, the lowest price i could find it for was around 65, okay, so what did i do? i went to alibaba and i went straight to the source. guys, okay, you can't do this for all products, but a lot of products you can do right. so i just started off. she said: hey, how can we help you? and i just said: so you get straight to the point. your troy b is clear and concise because they're going to try bring you around this. that you know they don't. they never really want to tok about price a lot because they just kind of they want to suss you out first, right. so they were saying: how many units does your customer need? i said we don't have a customer yet. we need a supplier first. it'll be one per customer, most likely. so i'm telling them we're a drop shipper. okay, she goes: i know. so what? what should we do? you know they act dumb. uh, all these different types just keep going straight to the point. so i said we are asking many different sports about price, shipping, processing times. this information we need to know. and we got offered- so i didn't really know- a low bottom price yet. okay, i have an idea. but i said we got offered 30, so you don't want to say an offer that's crazy low, because then they know, oh, he's toking absolute garbage as well. okay. so i said we got offered 35 per unit and now on alibaba i could see the price. this product was around forty, two dollars, around thirty dollars. so i said i just kind of middle ball them. and i said we got offer 35 per unit. this, this price was quite high for us. okay, she said if you cooperate with us for a long time will give you 34 dollars, 70 cents or 30 less a unit. and obviously you know that's, that's no good. so i said this is only 30 less, blah, blah, blah. then they start toking: look less than 30.. this is hard for us. oh, start crying. um, we don't make money. you know all this, all this garbage, right, toking trash. and so you know, they just keep, they keep going round about. i said, yes, i understand our tag. i said i understand a tiger price is below thirty dollars, right? they said, oh, this item, very hot sale products, uh, come from, go from china, canada, usa, all this malarkey, right. so i said you know, just keep cutting it straight to the point. and now a little tip and a trick here is: so, if they're willing to, if they're willing to, if you can get their minimum order quantity for, say, 500 units, then you can get that for one unit, okay. so i said, um, when we get below 30, we can work with you on this. so it's just saying straight away: below 30, we need it below 30. and i said with a minimum order quantity of 100. so i'm kind of giving them something here. so i'm saying we're going to order more. she says, oh, we have similar products and blah, blah, just ignore them and we can do, we. she said, i've similar products, we can deal for 25 to 30.. so now she's trying to divert you again. she's trying to get you to play ball on their side. yeah, i said i can see some supplier listed for 25. and she goes: we have a similar products. this quality is different. that's what they say. the quality is different. you know, i know sometimes the quality is different, okay, depending on the product. that is, that is true. so make sure you look up the specifications and the weight and everything to make sure it actually is that product. okay. but, um, if it's a reputable supplier, it most likely. if the pictures and everything is the same, it's usually the same product, okay. so i said, no, it's the same product, it's. uh, it's not different. check yourself. i go and now i say, oh, i'm selling on alibaba, aliexpress, 68 for three years. uh, i tell my friends in china. right now i waste no time, you know. so i'm really trying to cut to the point. now she goes for this item. if your quantities are more than 500 units, we would like to quote you 29, 40, okay. so 29, 40 cents, that's down five dollars. but i have to order 500 units. so i said this is high for us, and and then i just hold her. at the start it might be 10 per week, 20, then 30, then you know. so i'm just trying to tell them that this is, you know, it might be 500, but eventually it might be 500. okay, so it's going to be one at a time, okay, guys. so, yeah, you know, you're always going to be giving them a little. don't give them everything at once, you know, hold your cards close to the table and don't like. the best thing to do is now, i, i have a go, i know price now: 29.40. now i can go to other suppliers and i can go lower, because now i know i have this price locked in. so it's it's easier in that sense, because if you only have one now, if you only have one supplier, then then you really have to be tactikal, guys. okay, so you can. oh, there's two ways that they only can go soft or you can go hard, so soft is like the way you negotiate with your friends, and hard is, you know, is really toking about your positions, your prices. but once you, once you give your position, you can't really go back. okay, so you want to make sure that you have a good general idea of the price and actually, what is it the most you're willing to pay? okay, and what? what is your target price? and try not to- obviously it's not trying not to- move from that, but obviously start even lower than that, but that's what i'm saying. if you start too low and it's it's not realistik at all, then they're gonna laugh at you and then they know you're just, um, you don't know really what you're toking about. okay, so you can see, here they- they're constantly saying they're trying to divert this hot sale countries are canada, usa, england, england- uh, do you sell it on amazon, like all these questions, all you don't care about, like you know, and just constantly trying to divert your attention, uh, from the price. and then this slowly work it back in. okay, so this is, this is i don't really it's. sometimes it can be fun dealing with them just to play it. but it can stretch your time and you don't want to be dealing with time when it says, guys, okay, because i was toking to this person maybe two hours to get to this price. now what am i?

Forget AliExpress! Alibaba Dropshipping Is A Much Better Sourcing Model

in this video, you'll learn how to get started in e-commerce with practikally no money at all by drop shipping through alibaba. now, normally i'm not a big fan of drop shipping, but this method will allow you to test products online to see if they will sell before you invest a lot of money on inventory. now, alibaba drop shipping is one of the best ways to sell high quality products without carrying inventory. yet few sellers know that they can actually dropship through alibaba. for most, starting an e-commerce business on a budget is challenging, but thanks to alibaba's drop shipping solution, finding products and wholesale suppliers is simple and easy. now this step-by-step guide will teach you how to get started with alibaba drop shipping, explain its pros and cons and share tips to help you start a successful drop shipping business that you will eventually convert into a private label store. now does alibaba do drop shipping now? alibaba is the go-to marketplace for foreign businesses that buy low-cost products in bulk. the labor, manufacturing and electricity costs in china among the cheapest globally, making it beneficial for sellers and buyers. now, when most people think about alibaba, they think about shipping containers of products from china. however, alibaba has a drop shipping solution that makes it easy for store owners to sell products without keeping stok on hand. however, it can be a bit challenging to find drop shipping suppliers on alibaba, and alibaba sellers generally avoid fulfilling small orders. however, there are suppliers on alibaba that cater to drop shipping sellers. now why use alibaba for drop shipping versus aliexpress? although aliexpress drop shipping is the easier way to start an e-commerce business, using alibaba is the better choice for drop shipping for the following reasons. there's cheaper product pricing. product pricing is higher in aliexpress as it's set up for retailers and individuals. on the other hand, alibaba has wholesale pricing where buyers can have margins as high as 70 percent. it also helps that alibaba charges almost no commission on sales. in contrast, aliexpress charges its suppliers anywhere between five and eight percent per sale. you also get to directly interact with manufacturers. buyers can deal with manufacturers directly on alibaba, unlike aliexpress, where there are more retailers and middlemen than manufacturers. now, working with factories enables buyers to build relationships that can help them get bigger discounts when buying in bulk can also customize. private labeling allows buyers to rebrand products under their own brand name. thus, they can develop their brand position and inspire customer loyalty without investing in product manufacturing. now, most suppliers in aliexpress generally don't allow customization. on the other hand, alibaba suppliers provide buyers with various customization options, such as custom labels and designs. now, alibaba also has a request for quotation feature, where buyers can request quotes by filling out a form detailing the products or services they're interested in, and relevant manufacturers then reach out directly to you with pricing and delivery terms. now rfq is convenient because it saves time finding suppliers. aliexpress doesn't have this feature. alright, so here's how alibaba drop shipping works: you connect your store to alibaba, you find products to sell, you import these products directly into your online store and then, when an order comes in, the drop shipper fulfills the order. all right, so here's a step-by-step guide on how to dropship with alibaba. to dropship from alibaba, you need to find a niche and validate the product with your target audience. so start out by checking out online marketplaces like amazon to understand the average selling price of the product you plan on selling. and then, once you figure something out, it's time to open an account with alibaba. all right, so here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to get started. step one: you've got to search for suppliers, so head over to the search box on alibaba to find the product, use the products, drop down to find products and suppliers and avoid using the suppliers drop down, as that will limit your filtering options. narrow down the suppliers by using the filters available on the left hand side. make sure you check the trade assurance supplier type, even if you don't wish to use that service. suppliers that accept the buyer protection terms in the trade assurance program are much more likely to be authentik. now make sure you check out the ready to ship and paid samples check boxes to narrow down the list further now. using these two filters increases the likelihood of finding suppliers who dropship. skip these two filters if you want to customize the products, as suppliers offering fast dispatch are unlikely to offer customization. next, type 1 in the minimum order filter, as suppliers in alibaba generally have higher minimum order quantities, or moqs. step two: check the product details now on the product page. review the pricing in moq. if you see one piece minimum order, the supplier will probably dropship for you. now. the pricing will be expensive for quantities up to 25 or 50, after which you'll see a considerable price drop. now, this pricing does not include shipping costs, unless specified. step 3: make a list of potential suppliers now. not all suppliers will meet your standards or be willing to dropship, so compile a list of potential suppliers to give yourself more options as you negotiate pricing. do a background search on all the suppliers and check if they meet the following criteria: they partikipate in the trade assurance program, they offer a moq of one, they have reasonable pricing and they have good reviews and ratings. step four: contact your suppliers. contact suppliers by clicking on the contact supplier button and you'll be using alibaba's messaging platform that works just like email. you can also ask for the supplier's wechat id, china's top instant messaging app, where you're more likely to get faster responses. now. it's also worth noting that there's a 14 to 16 hour time difference between the us and china, so some suppliers may reply slower. should also be prepared for communication challenges now. to minimize them, use language translation tools such as google translate. now, even if the supplier speaks english, it's best to avoid lengthy sentences with complex words, so stik to short sentences with simple words now. your first message shouldn't be too long and your goal should be to find out if they drop ship their products to the countries you plan on selling. here's an email template that you can use to inquire about drop shipping. hi, my name is steve chu. i'm from xyz company and we're based in california. we're interested in partnering with you to drop ship this product. our customers are in the us and the uk. could you please answer the following questions: what is your moq cost per unit and the shipping time to the us, and what are your payment terms for new customers? i would also like to order a sample. please send me the cost for the sample and shipping to the following address. thank you, steve. now keep in mind that you should also avoid using links to gmail, whatsapp, facebook and dropbox in your email, as these services are banned in china. also, avoid attaching large files to the email or message, as the internet speed in china isn't necessarily the best. step 5: decide on the payment method. now. alibaba supports multiple payment channels, such as credit cards, online transfers and paypal. but here are the four standard payment methods, rated from safest to least safe. alibaba trade assurance is an escrow service where the funds are released as a supplier only when the buyer receives the goods as per the agreed terms. alibaba's trade assurance provides buyer protection from faulty products and fraud. it also gives buyers confidence in knowing if their money is handled through a third-party escrow service. however, trade assurance does cost the supplier money and delays the rec.

How To Do Shopify Dropshipping W/ Alibaba (SAVE MONEY)

hey guys, it's Sebastian. this has been probably one of the most highly requested videos that I should make, which is how to dropship, how to do Shopify, drop shipping on Alibaba, because a lot of people are used to using Aliexpress and Aliexpress is fine. there definitely are reasons to use Aliexpress, but there are also many reasons to use Alibaba. so in this video, I'm going to go through the benefits of using Alibaba, why you should use it, what you can do differently on there, how to fulfill orders on there- kind of just everything, because this is something that no one really covers on YouTube and understand. I didn't watch a YouTube video to find this out. I just thought of it in my head and I tried it out and it worked well. so just keep that in mind. everything that you guys are learning online, like whether it's Facebook ads or how to find products, they're just methods that someone had to come up with. so when you ever think like you're helpless or don't know how to do something, understand someone at one point had to create the concept, and maybe you can create a concept as well. a lot of people have the mindset where they have to go out and learn from other people when that is true, but you should also try and create your own strategies and stuff, like I did with Alibaba drop shipping. and then, if you guys want to also follow my Instagram, I post my Shopify stores like revenue and how I run the ads and all that stuff on my Instagram, so I have a link in the description for that. my Instagram page is growing a lot, so I appreciate that. now that that is out of the way, though, let's get into the benefits. so the benefits of using Alibaba to source your products. when your drop shipping with Shopify, you normally have a way faster response time with your supplier. so in Alibaba you can message a supplier and within maybe a few hours- if you message them after around 4 pm they are awake 4 pm Pacific. they're normally awake 4 to 5 pm. so you can message them and normally within an hour - you'll get a response. if you've ever tried to message an ally Express supplier, normally it is very, very difficult to actually get responses from them because they simply don't check their message as much they don't check their inbox. I've had probably two suppliers that I've actually found on Aliexpress to work with them long term and have them create VIP listings and stuff, but it's definitely a lower response rate on Aliexpress, because Alibaba they build their business by the messages. they have good contact with their customers. another big benefit is you're normally getting better pricing. so when you go on Aliexpress it's probably someone just drop shipping from the supplier on Alibaba to Aliexpress. so they're probably just making like a small margin on the product and they just focus on quantity and not really too much quality, and so they mark up the price of it, which is why you can go on Alibaba and source the product for a lower cost. the next benefit is faster processing times and more quality control. so one of the big benefits is you have faster processing times. so an example for this: I fulfilled orders last night with one of my suppliers for one of my drop shipping stores on Alibaba and within. so it's now the next day. it's in the morning, so probably tomorrow morning I'll get tracking numbers for all those orders, which is amazing because when you do it on a Li ba or Aliexpress it's normally like one week processing times, if not longer, which is really bad. everyone is used to Amazon, where you literally place an order and in maybe a few hours your order has been shipped. same thing with eBay if you buy your product, normally within around 24 hours, you get your product dispatched and you have a tracking number. so you want to try and do the same thing and it's very difficult to do so with Aliexpress. another big benefits is warranty products. so when you buy products on Aliexpress, you normally don't have many guarantees or warranties because they they're not even the manufacturer of the product. but when you go direct to the manufacturer, you can actually get warranties on the products. I've been able to negotiate one year warranties, three year warranties and I believe that's about it. like one year and three are kind of the most common. but that's amazing in itself because that's a big sell point. if people are spending a lot of money on a product, or even less than $50, they still want to know that they can get their money back or get a replacement if it doesn't work. that peace of mind is very valuable. another big benefit is faster shipping methods. so Alibaba focuses on quantity and quality, obviously, but they do have faster shipping routes, faster processing routes, because they have shipping agents that are able to process these orders faster. now if you're selling a higher price product, I would suggest looking into an express shipping method like DHL or UPS, just because you're able to get your product sent out way faster than if you used a packet or something along those lines, because that is still like 20-day shipping. and then some people use USPS and just like a ton of stuff that still has like 15 to 20 days shipping, which normally I don't really like doing that. I just want my customers to get their products as fast as possible because that is less headaches I will have to deal with in the future and I don't want to set myself up for failure. if I have customers who are gonna have to wait a month to get their product, I would rather just not sell them a product because again, that's gonna be a lot of customer support headaches and I just really don't want to deal with. probably the biggest benefit, in my opinion, is the ability to negotiate deals. so if you have a product that you're sourcing on Aliexpress for $30 shipped and you go on Alibaba and find it for maybe 15 or $20 shipped, that is normally still a high price for them. so what you can do is you can do a lot of stuff, like if you are fulfilling a lot of orders, you can negotiate pricing or get your logo put on the product after a certain amount of orders. there's a lot of stuff you can do. I'll get more into that in one of these slides, but those are the benefits. a lot of people are commenting this on my videos. I thought Alibaba is just for buying in bulk. yes, it traditionally was, but times have definitely changed. so Alibaba suppliers are already drop shipping. they just have someone on Aliexpress that's listing the product and then they are doing the fulfillment for them. it so most Alibaba suppliers traditionally just do bulk orders and that's because it's less headaches when you just ship out a thousand units rather than one by one. but if you can actually explain to them that you are a legitimate business and that you're looking to do business long term and show them that you can get orders and make them a lot of money, then they will definitely work with you. it's when you have beginners going and try and contact them, when they are not inclined to actually working with you just because you've probably never scaled the store. now, if you're a complete beginner, I really don't suggest you get on Alibaba and try to dropship it. it'll be very foreign to you and the Alibaba suppliers normally will not treat you well if you aren't bringing in a lot of orders, which that's fair for them. they're used to doing 100 unit, 200 unit, a thousand unit orders. so when they have some random person say, yo, I'll place it one or like one quantity orders all day and you only bring them two orders a day, they're not likely to treat you well because it's not worth their time to actually manage it. it's not until you get a ton of orders every single day where they start taking you serious, and then I mentioned this in the beginning. but there are many different routes and strategies with drop shipping. I understand that at some point one person just created the Shopify drop shipping method and they just started doing it without even watching a video. so I know you guys are watching YouTube video.
