grundvoraussetzung sagen was,brauchst du überhaupt an ausrüstung das,allererste ist eine e-mailadresse,solltest du dir anlegen dann halt ein,paypal konto da können halt die,einnahmen später darauf lesen genauso,wenn du jetzt designer einstellst oder,irgendwelche entsprechenden designs,kaufen sollte ist für den business das,kannst du halt alles über eine paypal,adresse machen genauso brauchst halt die vektoren,erstmal runter laden dann in die cloud,schieben entsprechend und damit du es,denn hier bearbeiten kannst also so,richtig werde ich mit den dingern nicht,warum ich bin hat er so fern von diesen,von diesen normalen laptops oder halten,im festnetz rechner wie es mein vater,früher gesagt hat jetzt will ich dir das,ganze erst mal bildlich zeigen und,danach werde ich das ganze halt also,einer eigenen online shop modul eine,marke baut das ist halt die überlassen,oder du beginnst dich halt den,marktplätzen die diese druck anbieter,zum teil schon haben alles wirst du,jetzt machen muss ist eben nicht über,instagram oder facebook irgendein,bildchen hochladen in dem sinne oder,halt einen text einspruch oder weiß der,geier was was du für ein design machen,willst gucken wir uns auch gleich an und,dafür legst du halt ein preis fest also,du lieferst eine bilddatei und einen,preis und das ist auch im sinne schon,fast das ganze business denn alle,wichtigen sachen sowas wie herstellung,von dem produkt versand von produkt sich,um retouren kümmern und all diesen,ganzen kram was wir halt nicht machen,wollen das verpacken und so also ich,will jetzt nicht zur post rennen jedes,mal wenn irgendeiner was kauft das,übernimmt teil dieser druck anbieter für,dich so an dann gibt's halt einen kunden,der bestellt entsprechend in oder bei,diesem druck anbieter was du kannst,nämlich diese designs einmal auf die,marktplätze der druck anbieter ja,hochladen muss dir ungefähr so,vorstellen eindruck anbieter hat wie ein,marktplatz wie so ein kleines amazon wo,die leute dann halt einkaufen können und,bei denen kannst du dich natürlich auch,bedienen und das sieht dann so aus wenn,ein kunde da entsprechend kauft dann,kriegst du von diesem produkt eine,gewisse provision halt ausgeschüttet und,das ist dann das was du bekommst du,kannst bei fast allen druck anbietern,diese provision halt selber festlegen,bis jetzt auch sprecher die haben da ein,bisschen was geändert aber keine sorge,es gibt so viele anbieter 50 stück an,der zahl,die gucken wir uns nämlich jetzt gleich,an das tolle an diesem prinzip ist,einfach dass sachen erst hergestellt,wird,wenn entsprechend what are the biggest problems facing,print-on-demand sellers in the year 2022,it's not the continuation of the rising,facebook ad costs or even the big,mystery around why some people get,banned from running facebook ads it's,also not the continuation of the,increases to fees on etsy it's also not,the inability by some to actually get,approved to sell products on merch by,amazon in fact the biggest problem,facing print-on-demand sellers is the,constant promotion of selling t-shirts,by some of the most popular youtube,channel in 2019 i made this video here,where i started to tok about not,selling t-shirts in 2020 i made this,video here where i continued to make,that point and in 2021 i continued with,more videos trying to tell people not to,sell shirt on those videos i got,comments like these it's not about the,t-shirt or whatever you're selling,people buy your stuff because they like,your design if they like your design,they'll spend that money or this one guy,who failed with shopify and printful is,all over youtube toking about nothing,or even this one here for every here is,how to make money video there is a don't,do this or you will lose money video and,people wonder why everyone is so,indecisive and honestly the majority of,the people that made comments like that,likely closed their print-on-demand,store a long time ago because it,probably didn't work out there was,however a lot of really positive,comments on those videos that i just,referenced so before you comment on this,one please watch the whole video so that,way you can understand exactly what i am,trying to say so now in 2022 i am still,going and over the last few months,inside of my print on demand facebook,group i've been giving tips and keeping,people updated as i've scaled one of my,newest stores to over six figures in,sales now i certainly don't claim to,have all the answers but what i do try,to do is share some of the most,up-to-date information about what's,working right now with print on demand a,lot of the other channels out there just,sort of recycle content about things,that they did back in 2017 trying to,convince you that those things still,work today now here's the basic premise,of what i do with my print-on-demand,stores the first is i need to choose a,great niche this is what gets people,interested secondly i choose high profit,products and then i make a great design,and the key here is i really do,recommend shopify and i recommend people,to go all in on paid traffic whether,it's with an instagram ad or a facebook,ad to me that is the quickest way to,make real money with print on demand in,the year 2022 and i know there are other,ways to sell print on demand products,and i'm sure there are people out there,that do very well i will even address,some of those other methods in this,video today and tok about why i think,as beginners out there you might not,have as much success with those methods,now before you say what some of the,other people on some of those other,videos said keep in mind i started my,first print on demand store in 2016. i,eventually had some success with,t-shirts in 2017. i had a store where i,was selling shirts i was using facebook,ads i was using instagram influencers,and i was growing my own social media,pages to make my sales i eventually,ended up selling that store on something,called the shopify store exchange this,is a website where you can list stores,for sale shopify handles the entire,transaction to make sure that both sides,cannot get ripped off basically what i'm,saying is i've had success with shirts,however it was a long time ago and then,something happened not only were,facebook ad costs continuing to rise but,tons of different print on demand,companies started to innovate and they,started to offer some much cooler,product and when i say cooler i mean,things that customers were going to get,much more excited about i also mean,products that were going to make a lot,more profit margins for me on my store,now i've been making print-on-demand,content and posting about my journey for,a while and i dug up some of these old,posts this one here was made back in,2018 when i started selling hooded,blankets from a print-on-demand company,called wc fulfillment over the years,even throughout 2019 2020 and 2021 and,even now i've continued to try to sell a,lot more unique products that make me a,lot more profits on my stores i'm,toking about things like car seat,covers from the pillow profits print on,demand company toking about all over,print hoodies or other oliver printed,apparel from companies like printfy or,subliminator toking about,print-on-demand jewelry from a,print-on-demand company called shine on,and so many more if you want to check,out some of the other videos on my,channel i show some of these awesome,products all the time so this takes us,to today where i'm still making videos,like this and there will definitely be,people out there that don't want to hear,it they want to continue to try and sell,t-shirts on etsy or on shopify or,wherever and ultimately those people can,do what they want but for those that are,interested in learning some of,thousands of other sellers and if you're,doing t-shirts or even mugs it's likely,that your designs look exactly like,everybody else's that's because with,those products it's pretty difficult to,make your stuff actually stand out in,this book he also toks about a concept,called a blue ocean which is an ocean,that doesn't have a lot of sharks in it,there's not a lot of blood in the water,which means there is less competition,this to me in the year 2022 means,building your own website where you are,actually off on your own and you're not,competing with everybody else on a,platform for limited amounts of organic,traffic what i would say to do from,there is to build your own communities,on social media and go all in on driving,paid traffic to your store some of the,biggest print on demand stores out there,are doing just that and one of the keys,to actually succeeding with that method,is choosing better products things that,make you more profits and three,dollars and fifty cents for a white mug,I mean I've got all these colors you can,select I mean they're selling theirs for,you know 15 minutes of 16 dollars and,they're charging probably you know at,least four to five dollars for shipping,so they're making probably a nice 1314,dollar profit off of each one of these,sales - whatever they paid for,advertising see what other accessories,that have off a drink we're back to the,accessories that you know some beanies,some hats fleece blankets headband some,big duffel bags so actually a lot more,selection when it comes to their,accessories you just for this single t-shirt,which is a total revenue of 134,000,for one single t-shirt now based on my,experience you can probably buy this,t-shirt from printful for around about,11 to 15 so let's just say for instance,after some of the etsy fees and stuff,like that they're probably making say,for instance six dollars per t-shirt,which let's just add that up just to see,how much profit that is six times five,eight four nine equals thirty five,thousand dollars profit for a simple,t-shirt design that is how crazy this is,and that's just one they've probably got,lots of different t-shirt designs that,they're making constant sales from and,constant profit from totally passively,now it obviously would be amazing if you,could get a t-shirt design that sells as,crazy as this which is totally possible,it really is possible you can see that,but you don't obviously have to get,these super high selling individual,designs you can still make money by,tapping into niches or jumping on like,events and trends that are happening as,well which is what i've kind of been,doing myself so let's just have a look,at one of the t-shirt designs that i'm,currently running so this is it here as,you can see it's a fun queen themed,t-shirt mainly targeting people in the,uk but i have been getting sales all,over the world for this and the reason,why i created this is because there's a,big event happening in the uk you might,not know if you're not from the uk but,it's the queen's jubilee happens every,10 years to celebrate her being in power,people have loads of street parties and,it's and your advertising accounts and,your payment gateways shut down,it all sounds a bit scary doesn't it,well don't worry if you just follow,along with the simple advice that I'll,be giving you in this logo see here's a question I,get asked a fair bet Sarah can I use,famous fonts from movies or TV show,logos well that's a good question and so,here is the strange yet fascinating,thing about fonts and copyrights in the,USA unlike most countries which protect,typefaces as a work of art and gives it,copyright protection and the USA,typefaces do not have copyright,protection although fonts do and yes,they are separate things and it's,important to know the distinction so,let's say I went and bought this font,gallery,created by a font designer when I,purchase it I am given a file which is a,piece of software to download once I,install the summer computer I will now,be able to use this want this file or,software is the font this is legally,protected,I can't resell it or reproduce it but,the typeface as in the visual design of,the letters and the numbers that design,has no legal protection in the USA,however the coca-cola logo is trademarks,that means design elements from the,typeface that it uses such as the iconic,C's are protected by trademark this,means that coca-cola could still come,after you and have a great legal case if,you try to use their typeface for most,countries it would flat-out be illegal,due to copyright infringement but in the,USA it's gets you to sell not due to,copyrights but choose your trademark,infringement and so yes usually I'd,recommend most people stay away from,doing this but your risk tolerance may,vary and as always I have to say I am,NOT a lawyer and this is not her,placement for official legal advice ok,did you not be a good,idea to sell if you were planning on,using Facebook Ads to be your primary,source of traffic so why would this,t-shirt not be a good idea in that case,you've got five seconds go,alright while some people,are indeed interested in giraffes there,just aren't enough people to make the,snitch worth your time if we come to,facebook's audience insight tool we can,type in giraffe and see that we get a,very small group of people just four,hundred and fifty to five hundred,thousand people for this interest in the,USA if you tried to sell this t-shirt,then even if you initially found an,audience of giraffe fans you could sell,it to you would very quickly saturate,them and the chances are your ad would,just well fizzle out even worse because,this audience is so small to begin with,it would be very difficult to find sub,niche targeted audiences to increase,your initial ad conversions for example,let's say we wanted the Southwest,t-shirt which by the way wouldn't really,be a good idea because it looks terrible,but regardless that's not the point,so who would be our audience people that,like giraffes and are involved in,environmentalism if we come and create a,dummy advert on Facebook and try to,cross the giraffe niche with something,relations such as targeting people,involved in environmental organizations,we only hit 33,000 people with their,targeting way way too small but you know,it would be a much bigger better niche,giant pandas the fan base for this is,much bigger if we come to the Facebook,audience and site tool and type in giant,panda we'll see that we've reach a much,bigger audience 3.5 to 4 million people,instead now only is that a large amount,of people to scale out to but if we try,to narrow our audience down to people,that are interested in giant pandas and,in environmental organizations,we'll hit at least 100,thousand people which should be your,minimum target for an initial ad did you,get a right if so congratulations you've,won ten best part of this business model,is you don't have to actually hold an,inventory of these products which means,you need to invest,little to no money up front to get,started so you can list your custom,products on an online,store or marketplace and only when a,customer orders from your store,you then have to pay to have the product,made and shipped to that customer i also,think it's important to mention,that when it comes to print on demand,even though you're designing your own,products you don't necessarily need to,have the most amazing,design skills personally i'm definitely,not a professional graphic designer,i do use photoshop but i only create,simple text-based designs,there are other free easy-to-use,softwares to create designs,a popular one is called canva and i do,believe that they have a free trial but,if you're completely against creating,the designs yourself you can always hire,freelancers on fiverr to do so for you,or you can actually also buy designs off,etsy if you search for the name,of the design that you're looking for,followed by the letters svg for example,if you want to sell shirts for,thanksgiving you just,simply search in thanksgiving,shirt svg and a bunch of listings,for thanksgiving themed designs will,come up that you can buy,download and put on your own shirts and,other print on demand products to sell,back on etsy but you might also be,thinking if you don't own,one of those expensive t-shirt printers,how are you going to create these,products to sell,well don't worry because you don't,actually need to invest in a fancy,t-shirt printer because with print on,demand you connect your online store to,a print-on-demand fulfillment service,like printful or,printfy and whenever you get an order on,your store they take care of everything,from the creation of the product to the,packaging,to shipping it out to your customers so,you never even have to see,or touch the product that you're selling,i've used both printful and you might be wondering,why i've decided to give this another,shot,well a little while ago i saw a video,titled i tried,the t-shirt print on demand side hustle,by another youtuber gary rozelle who,mostly makes amazon fba videos,and in his print-on-demand video he,found success on etsy within,just seven days and i ended up getting,over a seven day period around 75 to 80,orders i'll show a screenshot,of my gmail account of all the orders,coming through so the average profit was,about five dollars per shirt and let's,say i sold 70 i sold a little bit more,than that but let's go 70,over a week's time period that means i,made about 350,profit on this little kind of startup,side hustle,after watching his video i was so,determined to figure out etsy so,i started researching and watching,youtube videos because,my biggest concern when it came to,selling print on demand on etsy,was doing the product research and,finding winning designs to replicate and,sell on my shop i watched a lot of,videos from,my favorite print on a manned youtuber,ryan hogue including one,where he recommended a product research,tool called laura,so i decided to try it out for myself,and i got myself a free trial,and just a disclaimer at the time that,i'm filming this i'm not affiliated with,allora in,any way basically the software is a,google chrome extension,so when you have it installed on your,browser and you go to etsy you can,perform a search and when the results,come up allura will analyze all of the,listings and show,an average of typical favorites typical,price,and it'll give that search term a score,from 1 to 10,based on the level of demand and,competition,for those keywords 10 meaning high,demand and,low competition which is what i wanted,to go for,when you go to a specific listing and,click on the allura icon,you can actually see not only the amount,of favorites that this listing has,sales and revenue if you have the,premium version but you can also see,the exact tags that that seller used to,list that product,personally this is my favorite part of,allora because i'll basically,copy all the tags to use them in my,listings as well,so before i got started working on my,designs i created,this google spreadsheet to make a list,of all the ideas and all the,etsy listings that i was going to take,inspiration from and once i had a lot of,products in my spreadsheet i started,designing,like i said earlier i'm definitely not a,professional graphic designer,so i would only go for the simple,text-based designs,when it comes to creating your products,you would upload your designs onto,printful printify or another fulfillment,service of your choice and for the past,week with this etsy challenge i was,[Music],using,[Music],i'm pretty sure that i have another,video
