Welcome to the session on the new Shopify Connect app released by Microsoft in version 20.1. The app was delayed from its original release date in April and is only available in the SAS version of Business Central. Microsoft has adopted a cloud-first approach and releases everything into the cloud solution primarily.

To use the app, you can associate multiple shops in Shopify with your Business Central account and determine how the two systems integrate. You can also specify the location and products you want to share into Shopify and map shipment and payment methods. Shopify also allows guest checkout and account creation, and you can use customer templates to ensure that the customer is created correctly in Business Central.

The synchronization process involves synchronizing products, images, inventory, customers, and payouts. Shopify carries out a risk assessment on any order received, and the information is passed down to Business Central. The sales order is created from the Shopify order, and you can carry out your normal shipping process.

Once the order has been shipped and invoiced, the synchronization process exports it out into Shopify. You can see the status and timeline of the order in Shopify and receive automated confirmation and shipment emails.

Setting up the Shopify Connect app is quick and easy and can be done in a matter of hours. If you're interested in using the app, please talk to our team. Thank you for reading!

- View the cart and check out.

- Enter in your address information.

- Select the free shipping option.

- Pay for the order.

Integrating the Data:

- Open the new order in the Shopify admin section.
