Using Shopify with WordPress: An Updated Tutorial

Hey guys, it's Paul and welcome to the channel! Back in 2020, I did a tutorial on how to use Shopify with WordPress. Although it became one of the most popular videos on my channel, it's also the most disliked one. I realized that there were a few things I missed out on in the original video, which you guys have pointed out to me. So, I decided to do an updated tutorial to cover the things I missed.

This updated tutorial will guide you on how to use Shopify with a self-hosted WordPress site. We'll cover everything from sign-up to checkout options. Let's get started!

What You Need

To use Shopify with WordPress, you need a self-hosted WordPress site and a Shopify account. If you don't have an account yet, you can use my affiliate link in the description to sign up.

Sign Up for Shopify

To sign up for Shopify, go to your Shopify dashboard, click on settings, and then click on plan. Scroll down to the bottom, and click on remove your online store. This will remove the website builder from your package, and you can then sign up for the Shopify Lite package for $9 a month.

Creating a Buy Button

To create a buy button, first, add the buy button sales channel to your Shopify dashboard. Then, create your inventory by making sure the product status is set to active and the buy button is selected under sales channels. Once you've done that, click on buy button and select the product you want to create the buy button for.

Customizing Your Buy Button

There are several customization options available, such as layout style, button style, color options, and typography. You can also add a quantity field if you want. Once you're done customizing, click on next, and copy the code that appears.

Adding Your Buy Button to WordPress

To add your buy button to WordPress, create a new post or page, and find the custom HTML block in the Gutenberg editor. Paste the code
