examples of yelp buttons on shopify sites
Hello everyone, my name is Narayan and in this session, let's understand system design or software architecture for location-based services like Yelp, Foursquare or TripAdvisor. These systems are designed to provide information about nearby restaurants, tourist places, or attractions based on user-provided information like place name, GPS coordinates, etc. These systems also allow users to upload information, comments, ratings, and photos.
Before understanding the system design, let's curate the functional and non-functional requirements and derive some capacity estimations.
Functional requirements for location-based services are:
- User should be able to have their own profile and login/logout from the system
- User should be able to search for any place, restaurant, or tourist attraction based on place name or GPS coordinates
- User should be able to comment and rate the service or place
- User should be able to upload photos
Non-functional requirements for system design or software architecture are:
- The system should be always available for users to access the information
- The system should be scalable dynamically based on traffic
- The system should have low latency to provide information as fast as possible
To estimate the requirements of data I/O and traffic, we need to map out the features and data tables we want in our system. For example, for each location entry, we need to store data like ID, name, category, GPS coordinates, description, etc. Based on the size of these attributes, we can estimate how much space we need for each entry.
To calculate the total data required for the system, we need to consider the number of entries we plan to store, the number of replication factors, and any additional data we plan to add in the future.
It's important to understand the scale or traffic estimations to choose the right database. MongoDB is a good fit for our requirement as it stores data as documents, but Elasticsearch is a better choice as it provides full-text search support and GIS support. Elasticsearch also provides auto sharding, partitioning, rich queries, replication, and other features in-built.
In conclusion, to design a location-based service system, we need to consider functional and non-functional requirements, estimate the data I/O and traffic, and choose the right database. Elasticsearch is a better choice for its full-text search support and GIS support.
Best Feedback & Reviews Shopify Apps 2022
Hi guys, my name is Luda, and I am a designer and co-creator of the Fab Feedback Button Shopify application. In this video, I want to share with you the best reviews and feedback Shopify apps. But before we look at the applications, let's talk about the difference between customer reviews and customer feedback.
Customer Reviews Vs. Customer Feedback:
Merchants need to collect and work with both customer reviews and customer feedback. Customer reviews help to gain customer trust and make customers buy your products. When people shop, they look for reviews, recommendations, and ways that others have used a product before making their decision. This is why online stores work so hard to get people to review their products. It's a form of social proof.
On the other hand, customer feedback gives your business a clear understanding of customer preferences and helps track satisfaction levels. This is how customer loyalty is built, and this is what helps to get repeat customers. Repeat customers spend more money.
Shopify Apps for Collecting Reviews:
Let's take a look at Shopify apps that collect customer reviews. They can be divided into two groups - apps to collect product reviews for a website and apps to get more reviews on social media and other resources like Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, and so on.
1. Looks Product Reviews and Photos: This application has a lot of five-star reviews and a 14-day free trial, which is great just to see if this application will work for a store. It has three pricing plans to choose from.
2. Judge.me: This app has also a bunch of five-star reviews. It has multiple ways to display reviews on your website and has a free plan to start with, which is just amazing.
3. App for Google Reviews by Fresh Review: This application will help to collect more Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, and Yelp reviews. There are three pricing plans available, one of which is free.
Fab Feedback Button Shopify App:
We have created an app called Fab Feedback Button. This application helps to receive in the moment customer feedback. The feedback button is accessible from each page of your shop, and customers are able to quickly leave their review. It can be a compliment, suggestion, bug, question, or any other category you'll set up in your admin panel.
With all this information from customers, it's very easy to take feedback-driven action to improve your store and get more repeat customers. You'll have this really nice dashboard in your admin panel to work with customers' feedback.
Repeat customers are easier to sell to. They already know your brand and have positive interaction experience. New customers will definitely cost you more, while loyal customers will happily promote your business by giving recommendations to their friends and family. To sum up, there are a lot of awesome Shopify apps to collect customer feedback and reviews. The most important thing is to take action on collected feedback to improve your store and overall customer experience. So, good luck with that, and see you in the next video!
