So, I decided to make an updated version of it because it's 2021 and things have changed a little bit on the platform. So, I want to walk you guys through and show you how to create a Facebook ad account in 2021, 2022, and beyond. Alright guys, let's get started!

Steps to Create a Facebook Ad Account:
1. Log out of your Facebook account completely.
2. Go to Google and search for Facebook Business.
3. Click on the first search result, which is the Facebook Business Manager website.
4. Click on Create a new account.
5. Enter your regular Facebook email and password.
6. Enter the name of your new business ads manager in the first line.
7. Leave the middle line blank.
8. Enter a completely brand new email in the last line to separate your business account from your regular Facebook account.
9. Click on Create a new account.
10. Verify your email address by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email.
11. Access your Facebook Business Ads Manager account.
Adding Users to Your Business Account:
- If you want to add more people to your business account, click on Add under the Users section.
- Add the email addresses of the people you want to give access to your account.
Adding Pages to Your Business Account:
1. Click on Pages under the Accounts section.
2. Click on Create a new page if you don't have a Facebook page already.
3. Enter the URL of the Facebook page you created and click on Add page.
4. If you want to run ads for someone else's Facebook page, click on Request access to a page and enter the URL of their page.
5. The page owner needs to grant you access to run ads for their page.
Setting Up Payment Method:
1. Scroll down to the Payment Method section.
2. Click on Add payment method and enter your preferred payment method.
Creating Ad Accounts:
1. Click on Accounts under the Ad Accounts section.
2. Click on Add accounts and then Create a new ad account.
3. Give your ad account a name.
4. Click on Next.

5. Breakdowns: This column gives you even more detailed data about your ads.
6. Reports: Here, you can generate reports and customer reports.
7. Data Fields: This is where you'll find all the statistics and information about your ads, such as ad names, delivery types, bid strategy, and budget.
The second step is to conduct competitor research. By looking at what your competitors are doing, you can get an idea of what makes a good ad in your business. One great tool for this is the Facebook Ad Library. You can access it at facebook.com/ads/library. Simply search for keywords related to your business, like iPhone cases, and you'll find a variety of ads to analyze. You can also search for specific competitor brands to see what they're doing well. Scroll down to their oldest ads to get an idea of what has been successful for them.
Another useful tool is the Campaign Ideas Generator, which you can find at facebook.com/business/campaign-ideas-generator. This tool provides campaign suggestions based on your niche and specific events or times of the year. It's a good starting point to get some campaign ideas and ready-to-go ads.
Creating Your Ad
Now, let's jump back into the ads manager and create an ad together. Click on the big green button that says Create and select your campaign objective. Depending on your goal, you can choose conversions, traffic, or engagement. For this example, let's go with conversions. Name your campaign based on your goal, such as Conversion - iPhone Case - [Date]. Don't worry about the ad set and ad for now. Click continue to move to the campaign overview.

Step 2: Accessing the Ads Manager
1. Open a new tab and go to adsmanager.facebook.com.
2. As you can see, all my ads are disabled.
3. Warning: Only active accounts can create or edit ads.
4. Click on See details for the disabled ad account's status.
Step 3: Understanding Account Restrictions
1. The account is restricted.
2. See what you can do to resolve this issue.
3. Click on See restrictions for more information.
Step 4: Requesting a Review
1. Follow the steps to request a review of your advertising access.
2. Once you start the review process, you have 30 days to complete it.
3. Failure to complete the process within 30 days will result in permanent account restrictions.
4. Ensure you process the verification before the 30-day deadline.
Step 5: Identity Verification
1. Begin the review process by checking I am not a robot.
2. Help Facebook confirm your identity by providing a photo of your official ID (e.g., driver's license or passport).
3. If there are any issues, Facebook will notify you via email.
4. Upload your ID to proceed.
Step 6: Review Requested
1. Thank you for completing the identity confirmation process.
2. While your information is being reviewed, you won't be able to advertise.
3. Verify your identity to enable your ads account.
4. Remember, complete the process within 30 days.

Sign in with Facebook + Firebase - Connect Facebook App to Firebase | Part 3
Hello there and welcome back! In the previous video, we connected our Android application to our Firebase. Now, we're going to connect our Facebook application to our Firebase.
To enable Facebook signing, we need to provide the application ID and secret code in the sign-in method. Let's navigate to developers.facebook.com and create a new application. Choose a name for the application, but remember not to include the word face in it. Let's call it Tests for now.
After submitting, we'll be redirected to our dashboard. Click on Facebook Login and then Setup. Select the Android platform and proceed. In the settings, click on Basic and copy the app ID. Go to our Firebase console and paste the code there. For the application secret code, enter the password to reveal it. Copy and paste the secret key in the Firebase console as well.
Lastly, copy the URL provided and paste it in the Valid OAuth Redirect URIs section in the Facebook dashboard. You can also enable options like Log in from devices if you'd like. Save the changes.
Go back to our Firebase, click Save, and we're done! We have successfully connected our Firebase and Facebook.
- Create a new application on developers.facebook.com.
- Choose a name without the word face.
- Copy the app ID and paste it in the Firebase console.
- Enter the password to reveal the application secret code and paste it in the Firebase console.
- Copy the URL and paste it in the Facebook dashboard under Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.
- Save the changes.
- Go back to Firebase and click Save.
That's it! Our Firebase and Facebook are now connected.
How To Create Instagram Ads Using the Facebook Ads Manager
Hey everyone, my name is Lisa Ann and today we're talking about how to create your own Instagram ads in a proper and effective way using Facebook Ads Manager. In my previous video, I gave you an introduction to Instagram sponsored ads. We discussed what Instagram ads are, the type of Instagram ads you can create, and we identified some of the reasons why you should consider running Instagram ads for your business specifically. So if you haven't had a chance to watch that video just yet, I actually put the link right down in the description of this video that you're watching.
Today's content is part two of that video, so I highly recommend you head on back and watch that one first if you haven't done so. But today, I'm going to walk you through step by step the process of making your own Instagram ads, and I'll also be providing you with some tips on how to make your ads better and how to see better results. So there are a few ways on how to make Instagram ads. In this video, we'll tackle one of the two most used ways in creating Instagram ads: promoting an existing post using the Instagram app and creating ads using Facebook Ads Manager on your desktop computer. The process on both are quite different, so make sure you watch this whole video that is focused entirely on creating Instagram ads using Facebook Ads Manager. So let's begin.
Using the Facebook Ads Manager
Before we dive into the step-by-step process, it's important to first discuss the three-part structure of a Facebook Ads Manager account. Knowing how these three parts work together is essential for the success of your Instagram ads.
1. Campaign Level: This is the foundation of every ad you'll make on the platform. It houses all of your assets. Here, you will choose your campaign objective and set your ad campaign budget.
2. Ad Set Level: The ad set level determines how your ad should run or who your ad should run to. It is where you're gonna define your audience, choose the placement of your ad, set the budget for an ad set (optional), and schedule when you want your ads to run or even shut off.
3. Ads Level: The final level houses your actual ads, what your audience will actually see on social media. Here, you'll set up your ad creative, choose your formats, and set up your ad tracking.
This structure may be confusing at first, but it's actually really simple. In general, ads in Facebook are structured in three hierarchies referred to as levels: the campaign level, the ad set level, and the ad level. Another way to look at it is to think back on how you organize all of your photos on your hard drive for the year. Let's say that we have a main folder for everything we've done with traveling. Meaning, anytime we travel somewhere new, we will upload all those photos under the travel folder. This folder acts as the high-level campaign level. Within that travel folder, we have multiple photos of all the individual locations that we've traveled to. So essentially, you're organizing your travel folders into mini folders. For example, under my Australia folder, I have hundreds and hundreds of photos from my trip. This is our ad level, all the different individual ads you want to show different audiences with the same campaign goal. Does that make a little bit more sense?
Okay, so now that we are fully aware of the structure of Facebook Ads Manager, let's proceed in actually creating our own ad.
Navigating the Facebook Business Manager
To begin, go to your Facebook Business Manager home page and click on the Ads Manager tab. Then, choose the ad account you want to use. You'll then be prompted to choose your campaign objective.
Choosing Your Campaign Objective
On your Ads Manager home page, click on the green button. You'll be prompted to choose one from the 11 different objectives. For Instagram ads, you can choose from the following eight objectives:
1. Brand Awareness: This objective lets Instagram show your ad to people who are most likely interested in it. The main goal is to increase your brand awareness.
2. Reach: With this objective, the algorithm will present your Instagram ads to as many people as possible. These people might not be interested at all in your ad, actually.
3. Traffic: The main goal for this objective is to send people to your website, your messenger, or even to the app store for your app. You'll need to provide the link to your website, messenger, or the app store where you want people to go and visit.
4. Engagement: This objective lets you get more people to view and engage with your posts on your page. For Instagram ads, you can only choose the post engagement option.
5. App Installs: With this objective, you can send people to the app store where they can purchase or download your app. You'll need to choose only one app store platform to promote.
6. Video Views: The main goal for this objective is to get as many views as possible on your videos by promoting the video to as many people as possible.
7. Lead Generation: If you want to collect information from your prospective customers, you can choose this objective. You can collect their name, email, phone number, or whatever questions you want to ask them. Instagram has specific requirements for this objective.
8. Conversions: With this objective, you can drive people to take a specific action, such as making a purchase on your website or downloading your app. You need to set up your Facebook pixel and app events to track and measure conversions.
Make sure you choose the best objective for your campaign, as it will allow the Instagram algorithm to deliver your ads in the best way possible. Each objective is like your goal. Have you chosen the objective for your ad campaign? Great! Don't forget to name your campaign and let's continue on.
Create an A/B Split Test (Optional)
A/B testing lets you change variables such as your audience and your placement to determine which strategy performs best and improve future campaigns. If you want to compare different Instagram ad strategies, you can use A/B testing. However, I typically don't use the A/B split test option because I do this manually for all of my ads, for personal ads or even any of my client ads.
Set Your Campaign Budget
Setting your campaign budget is optional as well. On the campaign level, you have the option to set the budget for the whole campaign by enabling the Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) option. The CBO option will distribute your budget across ad sets based on the performance of the ads. For example, if you have four different ad sets or audiences that you're targeting and you set your daily budget to $20, that amount will be distributed among the four ad sets. The most performing ad set will get the most budget, while the underperforming ones will get a smaller amount.
Let's hop on over to our ad set level.
Set Your Ad Budget
If you didn't turn on your CBO option from the campaign level, you'll be given the option to set the budget for your ad set specifically. For example, if you had three ad sets, you can either set equal or different amounts for each ad set. Instagram will then spend the whole amount on each ad set, whether or not the ad set is doing well.
Schedule Your Ads
You can set a start and end date for when you want your ads to run and when to shut them off. You can also set specific times for the ads.
Define Your Audience
Just below the budget and schedule section of the ad set level, you'll find your audience selection. Here, you can define your target audience by choosing demographics, interests, and behaviors. You can also save the details of your audience to use for other ads in the future.
Choose the Placement of Your Ads
You have the option to choose either automatic placement or manual placement. I suggest the manual placement option when it comes to Instagram ads. After you click on manual placement, you'll need to remove the other platforms such as Facebook and Audience Network, so your ads only run on Instagram. You can further customize the placement by choosing where on Instagram you want your ads to be seen, such as the news feed, explore feed, or stories section.
After setting everything in the ad set level, click the next button to move on to the third step, the ad level.
In the ad level, the options will differ depending on the objective you chose from the campaign level. Make sure you select an Instagram account and connect it to your Ads Manager.
That's it! You've successfully created your own Instagram ad using Facebook Ads Manager. Now you can monitor and analyze the performance of your ads to see better results.
How To Set Up A Facebook Business Manager Account

Now, a Facebook Business Manager account is what I recommend if you're going to be advertising your business on Facebook. It has more functionality and makes things a lot easier compared to regular accounts. Before we get into the steps of setting up a Business Manager account, I want to mention a free Facebook advertising resource I'll talk about at the end of this video. So stick around for that. Let's dive into the process of setting up a Business Manager account.
I've already demonstrated this process in my Facebook Ads Insider's course, which is a comprehensive Facebook advertising course. You can check it out in the video description. But for now, let's jump into the steps. First, go to business.facebook.com and create an account. Use a name for your Business Manager account, like Ben's Example Business Manager. Enter your personal information and location details. Then, add your website and specify if you provide services or sell goods. Once you've submitted this information, you'll receive a confirmation email.
Now that your Business Manager account is set up, let's move on to adding assets. You can add pages, ad accounts, and people. To add a page, enter the page name or link and click Add Page. If you already own the page, you'll receive a notification to approve access. You can also request access to someone else's page. Similarly, you can add an ad account by entering the account ID or create a new one. Make sure to select the correct timezone and currency.
After adding assets, you can give people access to them. In this example, we only have one person, but you can select multiple individuals and assign permissions such as managing campaigns or viewing performance.
