In our research, we explored Facebook tools and how to modify advertisement content to make advertisements more successful, representative, and cost-efficient.
In the first study, we explored Facebook tools, including optimization tools, budget, and audience defining. We found that Facebook offers over 10 different tools for researchers to change how Facebook uses its algorithm to deliver advertisements. We focused on campaign objectives optimization tools and audience defining. We found that Facebook offers three main categories of optimization algorithms: reach, traffic, and conversion. Conversion optimization algorithm works best for survey researchers. We also found that demographic targeting works best, and when we use demographic targeting, we are targeting based on age, gender, and education.
