00:01:34 00:01:37 whatsoever
00:01:35 00:01:38 you need a few things there's a punch
00:01:37 00:01:40 list there's a check list you don't want
00:01:38 00:01:42 to go into Facebook ads without a plan
00:01:40 00:01:44 that's why most people that run Facebook
00:01:42 00:01:46 ads guys especially in the drop shipping
00:01:44 00:01:48 space they fail right and they blame
00:01:46 00:01:50 Facebook right instead of wondering you
00:01:48 00:01:51 know what maybe it was my own fault
00:01:50 00:01:52 maybe I went in too soon maybe I didn't
00:01:51 00:01:54 have all the things I needed to set
00:01:52 00:01:56 myself up for success well most of the
00:01:54 00:01:57 time I see it being number two you're
00:01:56 00:01:59 not prepared you don't have all the
00:01:57 00:02:01 proper things you need to be successful
00:01:59 00:02:04 the first thing the very first thing you
00:02:01 00:02:05 need is you need high quality images and
00:02:04 00:02:07 video content of your product okay
00:02:05 00:02:09 depending on what your product is you
00:02:07 00:02:10 might need to you know explain it a
00:02:09 00:02:12 little better so you might need to get a
00:02:10 00:02:13 video done for it right if you have a
00:02:12 00:02:14 simpler product maybe
00:02:13 00:02:16 can I get some nice high quality
00:02:14 00:02:17 lifestyle photos you could see here we
00:02:16 00:02:19 got some nice high quality pictures of
00:02:17 00:02:21 our product right very very quickly
00:02:19 00:02:23 right now these are all great high
00:02:21 00:02:25 quality assets and now I can use to run
00:02:23 00:02:28 to to my Facebook ads and see hey which
00:02:25 00:02:30 one's me which one work so before you
00:02:28 00:02:32 get going with Facebook Ads do this
00:02:30 00:02:34 get some good high quality images go get
00:02:32 00:02:36 some good high quality videos of your
00:02:34 00:02:38 product right you want to make sure that
00:02:36 00:02:39 your customers really see it right don't
00:02:38 00:02:41 just get your don't just get your
00:02:39 00:02:42 Aliexpress supplier photos guys
00:02:41 00:02:44 sometimes those are really good but most
00:02:42 00:02:46 of the time you want to take your own
00:02:44 00:02:48 verify that product quality make sure
00:02:46 00:02:51 it's good quality stuff okay if you want
00:02:48 00:02:52 inspiration for this you can see here I
00:02:51 00:02:54 typed in my number-one competitor for
00:02:52 00:02:56 untapped is probably gonna be on it
00:02:54 00:02:58 right so that is like the gorilla right
00:02:56 00:03:01 that is the gorilla behemoth of brain
00:02:58 00:03:02 supplements right so they're more of an
00:03:01 00:03:04 indirect competitor of mine because we
00:03:02 00:03:05 don't sell any sort of pills or anything
00:03:04 00:03:07 like that but I just went to the
00:03:05 00:03:09 Facebook ad library I typed in on it
00:03:07 00:03:10 right and I see all these different
00:03:09 00:03:12 kinds of ads that they're running now I
00:03:10 00:03:13 went specifically sorted for their alpha
00:03:12 00:03:15 brain pills and I want to see hey what
00:03:13 00:03:16 kind of ads are they running the thing
00:03:15 00:03:18 is guys even though they're not selling
00:03:16 00:03:20 the same product as me right they're
00:03:18 00:03:22 selling to the same people as I want to
00:03:20 00:03:24 so I want to see what kind of ads are
00:03:22 00:03:25 they using what kind of imagery are they
00:03:24 00:03:27 using what kind of a copy are they using
00:03:25 00:03:29 and model it for myself right on it
00:03:27 00:03:31 massive massive massive company play
00:03:29 00:03:33 spending millions of dollars a month on
00:03:31 00:03:35 advertising it would be very very stupid
00:03:33 00:03:37 of me not to go and look what they're
00:03:35 00:03:40 doing and what's working for them okay
00:03:37 00:03:41 if full teams working on this stuff so I
00:03:40 00:03:42 can see here they got like this nice
00:03:41 00:03:44 nice one with all these different
00:03:42 00:03:46 products here another one here where
00:03:44 00:03:48 it's comparing it to a coffee love these
00:03:46 00:03:50 ideas this is more of like a retargeting
00:03:48 00:03:51 ad so I wouldn't probably run anything
00:03:50 00:03:53 like this for right now but this is a
00:03:51 00:03:54 great place to get that inspiration of
00:03:53 00:03:56 your direct and your indirect
00:03:54 00:03:57 competitors see what's working for them
00:03:56 00:03:59 right there's all this information is
00:03:57 00:04:01 out there for you you just need to do a
00:03:59 00:04:03 little bit of work and do it okay the
00:04:01 00:04:05 next thing you want to think about is
00:04:03 00:04:08 where do you plan to ship stuff okay for
00:04:05 00:04:09 us right now we're dealing with a lot of
00:04:08 00:04:11 logistikal issues right now with untap
00:04:09 00:04:14 so right now we're gonna be offering
00:04:11 00:04:16 free shipping throughout the USA and
00:04:14 00:04:18 probably charging shipping depending on
00:04:16 00:04:19 the part of the world that you're in
00:04:18 00:04:21 hopefully again we're dealing with a lot
00:04:19 00:04:23 of logistikal issues so think about your
00:04:21 00:04:25 product where are your perfect customers
00:04:23 00:04:27 if they're just in the USA just sell in
00:04:25 00:04:28 the USA right if usual
00:04:27 00:04:29 if you can't sell your product in the
00:04:28 00:04:31 USA you're probably not gonna have an
00:04:29 00:04:33 easier time in another country okay so
00:04:31 00:04:34 that that's like the default rule okay
00:04:33 00:04:36 if you don't know where people are
00:04:34 00:04:38 hanging out just go with USA for now but
00:04:36 00:04:39 these are some other countries those of
00:04:38 00:04:41 you that are doing like Aliexpress
00:04:39 00:04:43 products these are some these are some
00:04:41 00:04:45 countries that I've had successful with
00:04:43 00:04:47 again but make sure that your customers
00:04:45 00:04:48 are actually there right this comes down
00:04:47 00:04:49 to understanding who that perfect
00:04:48 00:04:51 customer is and same with your age
00:04:49 00:04:53 groups it's important to understand that
00:04:51 00:04:54 too guys don't just say oh my product
00:04:53 00:04:56 isn't good for everybody right there's a
00:04:54 00:04:58 great quote if it's for everybody it's
00:04:56 00:05:01 for nobody right guys you cannot say
00:04:58 00:05:02 that your product is for everybody right
00:05:01 00:05:04 then you're not niche down hard enough
00:05:02 00:05:05 you have to niche down right and not you
00:05:04 00:05:08 don't have to niche down like oh between
00:05:05 00:05:09 the ages 18 and 24 no by no means but
00:05:08 00:05:12 really give it some thought would
00:05:09 00:05:14 somebody over the age of 60 or 50 or 40
00:05:12 00:05:16 or 30 or 20 use your product right so
00:05:14 00:05:17 figure that out like for example with me
00:05:16 00:05:19 with untapped I probably won't want to
00:05:17 00:05:21 be going after people that have a full
00:05:19 00:05:24 time job so people who are out of
00:05:21 00:05:26 college maybe between ages of 21 and and
00:05:24 00:05:28 50 right that might be my sweet spot for
00:05:26 00:05:30 my age group think it through don't get
00:05:28 00:05:31 in too narrow but think it through which
00:05:30 00:05:33 age group do you think your product is
00:05:31 00:05:36 BETT fit best fit because that way you
00:05:33 00:05:38 can align the copy the imagery to that
00:05:36 00:05:41 specific group of people and get them to
00:05:38 00:05:43 to buy okay now to find some inspiration
00:05:41 00:05:45 on people that are selling in your
00:05:43 00:05:48 current space and you can actually use
00:05:45 00:05:49 them as to target their audiences I love
00:05:48 00:05:51 going the first place I'd love to go is
00:05:49 00:05:53 right inside the ad set level so on the
00:05:51 00:05:55 ad set level you can go down this
00:05:53 00:05:57 targeting spot and you could type in
00:05:55 00:05:58 whatever you want right you could type
00:05:57 00:06:00 in like whatever your niche is your
00:05:58 00:06:01 basic niche so for me I just went in
00:06:00 00:06:04 here and I was like okay what's like
00:06:01 00:06:05 look some very generic keyword right
00:06:04 00:06:07 with some very generic keywords so I
00:06:05 00:06:09 just typed in bring Fitness right and I
00:06:07 00:06:10 just liked actually I typed in brain and
00:06:09 00:06:12 then I saw brain Fitness I was like oh
00:06:10 00:06:14 interesting I typed in brain Fitness I
00:06:12 00:06:17 saw it was a larger size audience but
00:06:14 00:06:19 then I get all of these suggestions from
00:06:17 00:06:21 Facebook on other things to use memory
00:06:19 00:06:23 cognition brain neuroscience cognitive
00:06:21 00:06:24 science bio hacking personal development
00:06:23 00:06:25 and I just started clicking all of these
00:06:24 00:06:26 in and I'm putting this whole list
00:06:25 00:06:29 together of all these different groups
00:06:26 00:06:31 that I can target you can see here
00:06:29 00:06:33 biohacking bulletproof coffee and also
00:06:31 00:06:34 oh man bulletproof coffee that's that's
00:06:33 00:06:36 awesome look I didn't think but I was
00:06:34 00:06:38 like yes people that drink bulletproof
00:06:36 00:06:40 coffee are a hundred percent my
00:06:38 00:06:40 customers as well right Gary Vee Joe
00:06:40 00:06:42 Rogan man
00:06:40 00:06:44 on an obviously personal development
00:06:42 00:06:46 Rich Dad Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki I
00:06:44 00:06:48 listed out all of these hundreds of them
00:06:46 00:06:50 then I can now target now that's not to
00:06:48 00:06:52 say that all of these people are
00:06:50 00:06:54 necessary my perfect buyers by no means
00:06:52 00:06:56 right by no means as you see as you're
00:06:54 00:06:57 gonna see as we narrow down some of
00:06:56 00:07:00 these audiences how we can really
00:06:57 00:07:01 pinpoint our buyers in these specific in
00:07:00 00:07:03 these specific groups as we continue out
00:07:01 00:07:05 through this free course but you want to
00:07:03 00:07:07 make this huge master list of all of the
00:07:05 00:07:08 different all of the different things
00:07:07 00:07:10 that you can target outside of Facebook
00:07:08 00:07:12 another place that you can go is
00:07:10 00:07:14 audience insights okay so here I went to
00:07:12 00:07:16 audience insights not just typed in Tim
00:07:14 00:07:18 Ferriss Tim Ferriss massive in the bio
00:07:16 00:07:19 hacking communities always toking about
00:07:18 00:07:21 bio hacking so I'm like okay if you're
00:07:19 00:07:23 people follow Tim Ferriss they may be
00:07:21 00:07:25 most likely to try a different sort of
00:07:23 00:07:26 nootropic or a different kind of
00:07:25 00:07:29 supplement gear towards entrepreneurs
00:07:26 00:07:30 right so I typed in Tim Ferriss into
00:07:29 00:07:31 interest groups and I just went over to
00:07:30 00:07:33 the page likes and I can see all of
00:07:31 00:07:34 these different page likes and a lot of
00:07:33 00:07:37 them might never have heard me for like
00:07:34 00:07:39 GMB Fitness you know on it's here
00:07:37 00:07:41 obviously bulletproof Art of Manliness
00:07:39 00:07:43 right there's a Transcendental
00:07:41 00:07:45 Meditation write non-gmo right there's
00:07:43 00:07:46 like Russell Brunson Gary Vee right all
00:07:45 00:07:48 of these different ones right
00:07:46 00:07:50 and if you sand these are all potential
00:07:48 00:07:52 leads and I can go in and target here
00:07:50 00:07:54 right so I'll put a whole list together
00:07:52 00:07:56 and a nice thing about it is an audience
00:07:54 00:07:58 insights you can also scroll down and
00:07:56 00:07:59 right here you'll get the page like
00:07:58 00:08:02 sorry this is a very very very very
00:07:59 00:08:03 powerful area especially when you start
00:08:02 00:08:06 getting like for example like Tim
00:08:03 00:08:08 Ferriss here right I can see the
00:08:06 00:08:10 affinity of these other pages right
00:08:08 00:08:12 which pages are most like Tim Ferriss
00:08:10 00:08:15 this audience already so I could see
00:08:12 00:08:17 daily stoic Jaco Dave GMB Fitness Seth
00:08:15 00:08:19 Seth Godin James out the char on it
00:08:17 00:08:21 Malcolm Gladwell David Goggins and I was
00:08:19 00:08:22 that's perfectly and some of these I was
00:08:21 00:08:24 like oh man I'd even know I could go
00:08:22 00:08:25 after he's like I thought bulletproof
00:08:24 00:08:27 coffee but I was like oh wait well dave
00:08:25 00:08:28 has for you look why wouldn't I target
00:08:27 00:08:29 Dave asked me the people that like
00:08:28 00:08:30 bulletproof coffee are definitely
00:08:29 00:08:32 following Dave asked me like why
00:08:30 00:08:33 wouldn't I get Dave asked me and I gave
00:08:32 00:08:35 me that idea right and I wouldn't have
00:08:33 00:08:36 known that david Goggins all right if
00:08:35 00:08:38 you guys don't follow David Goggin
00:08:36 00:08:40 you're doing yourself a huge disservice
00:08:38 00:08:42 all right guys go follow him he if you
00:08:40 00:08:44 want some more morning motivation oh my
00:08:42 00:08:46 goodness so David Goggins I didn't think
00:08:44 00:08:48 that as well no that's great so I'm
00:08:46 00:08:50 gonna put in all of my competitors my
00:08:48 00:08:52 indirect competitors into audience
00:08:50 00:08:53 insights and start seeing hey what kind
00:08:52 00:08:55 of other pages are
00:08:53 00:08:57 they're usually I'm gonna be going after
00:08:55 00:08:58 the top ten you'll get it you can click
00:08:57 00:09:00 see more here and get a ton more
00:08:58 00:09:03 information but sometimes it's just it's
00:09:00 00:09:05 just not worth it okay usually I'll be
00:09:03 00:09:06 going after that top ten and when it
00:09:05 00:09:08 makes sense obviously like maybe dally
00:09:06 00:09:10 stoic might not necessarily be you know
00:09:08 00:09:12 something that I target but I know Tim
00:09:10 00:09:13 Ferriss really toks about that a lot so
00:09:12 00:09:14 that's probably why it's there it's
00:09:13 00:09:16 listed right but that doesn't
00:09:14 00:09:17 necessarily mean that's my buyers but
00:09:16 00:09:20 again everything is worth the test don't
00:09:17 00:09:22 make logical decisions sorry don't make
00:09:20 00:09:24 emotional decisions make logical
00:09:22 00:09:25 decisions okay look at the data see the
00:09:24 00:09:28 results you're getting and then make
00:09:25 00:09:30 your decision based off data okay not
00:09:28 00:09:31 just what you think will work okay so
00:09:30 00:09:34 the next thing you want to do is how you
00:09:31 00:09:35 create your first campaign right so when
00:09:34 00:09:37 you're in your ads manager you'll see a
00:09:35 00:09:38 little button it says create campaign a
00:09:37 00:09:39 lot of you guys I'm sure have done this
00:09:38 00:09:41 you always want to go conversions I
00:09:39 00:09:42 don't care if you don't have any pixel
00:09:41 00:09:43 data yet go straight conversions and
00:09:42 00:09:47 then right here you're going to be able
00:09:43 00:09:48 to name your campaign and tik off that
00:09:47 00:09:50 box that says campaign budget
00:09:48 00:09:53 optimization right so the campaign name
00:09:50 00:09:56 here I'm just naming this cold interest
00:09:53 00:09:58 testing under one M so for me I wanted
00:09:56 00:10:00 when you do these CBO campaigns you
00:09:58 00:10:01 don't want to throw in right audiences
00:10:00 00:10:04 that are like millions upon millions of
00:10:01 00:10:06 people and then you have like a hundred
00:10:04 00:10:08 thousand person audience re it's the
00:10:06 00:10:10 data is gonna get skewed so I'm doing
00:10:08 00:10:13 under 1 million here and an interest
00:10:10 00:10:14 testing okay keyword testing okay and
00:10:13 00:10:17 then turn on campaign budget
00:10:14 00:10:19 optimization now once you do that you'll
00:10:17 00:10:20 be taken to the ad set level now the ad
00:10:19 00:10:21 set level is this is where we're gonna
00:10:20 00:10:24 set up that targeting we're gonna set up
00:10:21 00:10:25 what are our conversion is so here we're
00:10:24 00:10:27 just selecting lead or purchase or
00:10:25 00:10:29 whatever you want for yourself but down
00:10:27 00:10:30 here is where you're gonna be setting up
00:10:29 00:10:31 that targeting so for me
00:10:30 00:10:34 I'm just gonna be like okay you know
00:10:31 00:10:36 1865 is fine probably could narrow that
00:10:34 00:10:38 down a little bit more in the United
00:10:36 00:10:39 States and in my interest group right so
00:10:38 00:10:41 the interest I'm gonna target first is
00:10:39 00:10:43 on it right that's my biggest competitor
00:10:41 00:10:46 and right here I can see my potential
00:10:43 00:10:48 reach is 650,000 people right which is
00:10:46 00:10:50 fantastik right that's right under that
00:10:48 00:10:52 1 million person audience size and make
00:10:50 00:10:54 sure guys you do uncheck this box that
00:10:52 00:10:55 says expand detail targeting do not
00:10:54 00:10:57 leave this checked okay do not leave
00:10:55 00:10:59 this check us and your audience size
00:10:57 00:11:02 here is going to be absolutely massive
00:10:59 00:11:04 okay so here is my basic targeting now
00:11:02 00:11:05 once you go you'll also scroll down that
00:11:04 00:11:07 page it's gonna ask you how do you want
00:11:05 00:11:08 automatik places and of course they
00:11:07 00:11:10 recommend it but don't do the
00:11:08 00:11:11 recommendation or okay they're gonna
00:11:10 00:11:13 spend all your money
00:11:11 00:11:14 alright so edit your placements and here
00:11:13 00:11:16 is where you're gonna really want to
00:11:14 00:11:17 split things around so right here I kind
00:11:16 00:11:19 of just chose Facebook newsfeed and
00:11:17 00:11:21 Instagram feed now the reason I did this
00:11:19 00:11:23 is because we're going this is a lead
00:11:21 00:11:25 campaign to capture leads to tell people
00:11:23 00:11:27 hey come opt-in now if I was gonna go
00:11:25 00:11:28 after purchases what I would do here is
00:11:27 00:11:31 I would only go after Facebook newsfeed
00:11:28 00:11:32 and in facebook right column usually
00:11:31 00:11:34 those are the best ones and then if I
00:11:32 00:11:36 want to target Instagram I would
00:11:34 00:11:38 duplicate that CBO campaign and then
00:11:36 00:11:40 only target Instagram traffic just so we
00:11:38 00:11:41 have those traffic sources completely
00:11:40 00:11:43 separate but for this one I took the
00:11:41 00:11:46 lazy way out okay it's okay sometimes
00:11:43 00:11:47 okay now once you do that you'll you'll
00:11:46 00:11:49 click Next and then you'll get to the ad
00:11:47 00:11:51 level right this is where you create
00:11:49 00:11:52 those ads right you'll be able to select
00:11:51 00:11:54 your facebook business page your
00:11:52 00:11:56 Instagram account you'll be able to
00:11:54 00:11:57 upload your images right here so you can
00:11:56 00:12:00 see I just uploaded this image or right
00:11:57 00:12:01 here and then towards the bottom you'll
00:12:00 00:12:04 be able to select hey how does that
00:12:01 00:12:05 image actually look like on the various
00:12:04 00:12:07 platforms that you're gonna advertise
00:12:05 00:12:09 alright the Facebook newsfeed Facebook
00:12:07 00:12:11 right column on Instagram depending on
00:12:09 00:12:13 the ones you selected right here right
00:12:11 00:12:15 on this previous screen you'll be able
00:12:13 00:12:17 to see hey how does that ad look like so
00:12:15 00:12:19 you know for here it actually looked
00:12:17 00:12:20 good on both Instagram and desktop views
00:12:19 00:12:22 so that's fantastik
00:12:20 00:12:25 right now the next thing you want to do
00:12:22 00:12:27 is write your copy for your ad so for us
00:12:25 00:12:29 we just wrote the first all-natural
00:12:27 00:12:30 performance enhancer for entrepreneurs
00:12:29 00:12:32 and high performers right that's our
00:12:30 00:12:33 headline now the thing about me guys is
00:12:32 00:12:35 unfortunately with supplements it's
00:12:33 00:12:37 definitely a more high risk category so
00:12:35 00:12:39 there's things you can't make like crazy
00:12:37 00:12:41 outrageous claims so a lot of you guys
00:12:39 00:12:42 are gonna have it a lot easier then than
00:12:41 00:12:43 me when running your especially when
00:12:42 00:12:44 you're running like you know some basic
00:12:43 00:12:47 drop shipping business fishing lures or
00:12:44 00:12:48 whatever and then here's where you put
00:12:47 00:12:50 in your primary text and that comes up
00:12:48 00:12:51 right here and this kind of structure I
