startTime | durationTime | text |
00:00:00 | 00:00:05 | from zero to $266,000 in the first |
00:00:03 | 00:00:07 | seventy four days of building a brand |
00:00:05 | 00:00:09 | from scratch what's going on everybody |
00:00:07 | 00:00:11 | my name is Chris Conn ready and for |
00:00:09 | 00:00:13 | those of you who do not know me this is |
00:00:11 | 00:00:14 | actually my first video right here on |
00:00:13 | 00:00:16 | the YouTube channel I've been getting on |
00:00:14 | 00:00:18 | my requests inside of my Facebook group |
00:00:16 | 00:00:20 | to start a YouTube channel and start |
00:00:18 | 00:00:22 | putting out content toking about the |
00:00:20 | 00:00:24 | strategy and what exactly I'm doing |
00:00:22 | 00:00:27 | inside of my day-to-day business to make |
00:00:24 | 00:00:29 | this happen the ship that I main going |
00:00:27 | 00:00:31 | from you know general bomb shipping and |
00:00:29 | 00:00:34 | sourcing from China to actually building |
00:00:31 | 00:00:35 | a reputable brand and seeing success |
00:00:34 | 00:00:36 | with it |
00:00:35 | 00:00:39 | and for those of you wondering profit |
00:00:36 | 00:00:42 | margins for this for the first 74 days |
00:00:39 | 00:00:44 | are around at 20% so about 50 55 |
00:00:42 | 00:00:47 | thousand dollars of a profit after |
00:00:44 | 00:00:49 | transaction fees and ver tiesm cost of |
00:00:47 | 00:00:51 | goods everything and this is actually my |
00:00:49 | 00:00:53 | third store I've been doing this for a |
00:00:51 | 00:00:56 | little over a year now and I started to |
00:00:53 | 00:00:58 | see a lot more success when I decided to |
00:00:56 | 00:01:00 | capitalize I'm a lot more heavily on |
00:00:58 | 00:01:03 | building a brand so great customer |
00:01:00 | 00:01:06 | service professors shipping times custom |
00:01:03 | 00:01:08 | packaging all of this focused on one |
00:01:06 | 00:01:10 | specific niche this year animation we |
00:01:08 | 00:01:12 | planning on scaling the business to |
00:01:10 | 00:01:15 | seven figures projecting two million |
00:01:12 | 00:01:17 | dollars in sales by December now what I |
00:01:15 | 00:01:20 | want to tell you that is is that this |
00:01:17 | 00:01:21 | stuff is possible for anybody I believe |
00:01:20 | 00:01:24 | that right now is one of the greatest |
00:01:21 | 00:01:27 | times in history to be an entrepreneur |
00:01:24 | 00:01:29 | to become insanely successful online |
00:01:27 | 00:01:31 | just over a year ago I was working three |
00:01:29 | 00:01:33 | jobs I was going to school full time |
00:01:31 | 00:01:35 | before I found out about e-commerce |
00:01:33 | 00:01:37 | before I found out about Shopify which |
00:01:35 | 00:01:39 | is what I'm using right now and just to |
00:01:37 | 00:01:40 | give you some perspective I mean just |
00:01:39 | 00:01:42 | this month we're about eight days into |
00:01:40 | 00:01:44 | the month as I'm recording this right |
00:01:42 | 00:01:45 | now in January and we're about to hit |
00:01:44 | 00:01:46 | thirty thousand dollars I don't know if |
00:01:45 | 00:01:48 | you can see in that about thirty |
00:01:46 | 00:01:51 | thousand dollars in sense will probably |
00:01:48 | 00:01:53 | do between one hundred fifty two hundred |
00:01:51 | 00:01:55 | thousand dollars just this month in |
00:01:53 | 00:01:57 | sales and that's crazy word like I said |
00:01:55 | 00:01:59 | may be one of the greatest times in |
00:01:57 | 00:02:02 | history to become an entrepreneur and it |
00:01:59 | 00:02:04 | have and seen success with this and to |
00:02:02 | 00:02:07 | be able to run multi six-figure business |
00:02:04 | 00:02:09 | from the comfort of your own home it's |
00:02:07 | 00:02:10 | 2018 and a lot of people are finding out |
00:02:09 | 00:02:11 | about |
00:02:10 | 00:02:13 | they're finding out about Shopify and |
00:02:11 | 00:02:15 | they're finding out how lucrative it |
00:02:13 | 00:02:18 | could be if you do it the right way so I |
00:02:15 | 00:02:20 | think that this year for 2018 brand |
00:02:18 | 00:02:22 | development is going to be key that it's |
00:02:20 | 00:02:25 | going to separate you from everybody |
00:02:22 | 00:02:26 | else and give you that big blue ocean to |
00:02:25 | 00:02:29 | be able to work with which we'll tok |
00:02:26 | 00:02:31 | about a little bit later on in this |
00:02:29 | 00:02:33 | video it's a lot harder now to close a |
00:02:31 | 00:02:35 | customer than it was a year ago at least |
00:02:33 | 00:02:37 | in my experience I know what the |
00:02:35 | 00:02:39 | influence of marketing it has completely |
00:02:37 | 00:02:41 | changed it's way different than how it |
00:02:39 | 00:02:43 | was a year ago I started off with just |
00:02:41 | 00:02:46 | influencer marketing and I was able to |
00:02:43 | 00:02:48 | throw up a product and get instant sales |
00:02:46 | 00:02:49 | and do really really big numbers off |
00:02:48 | 00:02:51 | these shout out posts but now |
00:02:49 | 00:02:54 | everybody's doing a shout out posts so |
00:02:51 | 00:02:57 | again this just leads back to branding |
00:02:54 | 00:03:01 | and looking reputable because customers |
00:02:57 | 00:03:03 | now are a lot more aware than they were |
00:03:01 | 00:03:04 | say a year ago what we're going to do is |
00:03:03 | 00:03:05 | we're gonna hop it over to my computer |
00:03:04 | 00:03:08 | right now and I'm going to break down |
00:03:05 | 00:03:10 | for you some of the fundamentals for |
00:03:08 | 00:03:13 | what exactly I've been doing inside of |
00:03:10 | 00:03:15 | my business and building a brand so that |
00:03:13 | 00:03:17 | you can apply it and implement it into |
00:03:15 | 00:03:19 | your own business so let's hop it over |
00:03:17 | 00:03:20 | alright guys so let's go ahead and dive |
00:03:19 | 00:03:22 | into it right now we are at my computer |
00:03:20 | 00:03:23 | screen and before we dive into the |
00:03:22 | 00:03:26 | strategy behind what I'm doing in my |
00:03:23 | 00:03:28 | business and everything about branding I |
00:03:26 | 00:03:30 | want to go over the numbers one more |
00:03:28 | 00:03:32 | time about two hundred sixty six |
00:03:30 | 00:03:34 | thousand dollars in the first 74 days of |
00:03:32 | 00:03:36 | building this Brandon this right here |
00:03:34 | 00:03:39 | what we're looking at is what I consider |
00:03:36 | 00:03:41 | the startup phase we started September |
00:03:39 | 00:03:45 | 12th and this right here this goes all |
00:03:41 | 00:03:47 | the way up until November 25th which is |
00:03:45 | 00:03:50 | Black Friday you can see we did almost |
00:03:47 | 00:03:53 | $24,000 and the day after we did about |
00:03:50 | 00:03:55 | 68 of almost $7,000 actually killed the |
00:03:53 | 00:03:58 | marketing halfway through so leading up |
00:03:55 | 00:03:59 | to this point right here we actually did |
00:03:58 | 00:04:01 | have to kill the marketing for a minute |
00:03:59 | 00:04:04 | to expand the team I hadn't to expand |
00:04:01 | 00:04:05 | the team very quickly to help up the |
00:04:04 | 00:04:07 | orders and go through customer service |
00:04:05 | 00:04:09 | black friday completely blue |
00:04:07 | 00:04:12 | expectations I think we spent about |
00:04:09 | 00:04:15 | $1,600 on Facebook ads that day and sent |
00:04:12 | 00:04:17 | out a total of three emails so the |
00:04:15 | 00:04:19 | return of investment was absolutely |
00:04:17 | 00:04:22 | crazy so again what we're looking at |
00:04:19 | 00:04:22 | right now number wise is what I consider |
00:04:22 | 00:04:24 | to be |
00:04:22 | 00:04:26 | to start a face of the business so the |
00:04:24 | 00:04:27 | traditional way of building a store |
00:04:26 | 00:04:29 | let's go over that real fast sir I'm |
00:04:27 | 00:04:31 | just gonna make this a little bit bigger |
00:04:29 | 00:04:33 | so that you guys can go ahead and see |
00:04:31 | 00:04:35 | this and this is going to help me |
00:04:33 | 00:04:36 | transition and in my next couple points |
00:04:35 | 00:04:38 | so the traditional way of building the |
00:04:36 | 00:04:41 | store is adding a bunch of fluff product |
00:04:38 | 00:04:42 | and importing from Aliexpress which |
00:04:41 | 00:04:45 | includes product descriptions and images |
00:04:42 | 00:04:47 | everything like that you have the |
00:04:45 | 00:04:50 | concept of a general store in mind so it |
00:04:47 | 00:04:54 | usually has the word trendy in it or |
00:04:50 | 00:04:56 | gear like you know deer bubble trendy |
00:04:54 | 00:04:59 | stuff you know there's a really really |
00:04:56 | 00:05:01 | popular general store called next deal |
00:04:59 | 00:05:03 | shop something like that was product |
00:05:01 | 00:05:05 | being imported from LA Express and what |
00:05:03 | 00:05:07 | happens is when you build this general |
00:05:05 | 00:05:08 | store generally you're going to test a |
00:05:07 | 00:05:10 | couple different products per day or per |
00:05:08 | 00:05:12 | week I know a lot of people that are |
00:05:10 | 00:05:14 | testing around five products per day |
00:05:12 | 00:05:16 | until they find a winner so what they're |
00:05:14 | 00:05:18 | doing here is is they're inside of a |
00:05:16 | 00:05:20 | continuous cycle always add a new |
00:05:18 | 00:05:22 | product of the store and testing that |
00:05:20 | 00:05:25 | product on Facebook until they find a |
00:05:22 | 00:05:28 | winner that actually has a scalability |
00:05:25 | 00:05:29 | and then driving traffic making sales |
00:05:28 | 00:05:31 | and then sometimes I know a lot of |
00:05:29 | 00:05:34 | people that are not you know I know |
00:05:31 | 00:05:36 | people including my group that are not |
00:05:34 | 00:05:38 | implementing this and to them this is a |
00:05:36 | 00:05:39 | little bit more complex beyond what |
00:05:38 | 00:05:41 | they're already doing in that email |
00:05:39 | 00:05:44 | marketing and retargeting where the |
00:05:41 | 00:05:46 | actual revenue where the actual really |
00:05:44 | 00:05:50 | really good profit comes from that money |
00:05:46 | 00:05:52 | on the back end now there is nothing |
00:05:50 | 00:05:54 | wrong with this concept right here |
00:05:52 | 00:05:56 | absolutely nothing wrong this is what I |
00:05:54 | 00:05:58 | did for the first eight months of |
00:05:56 | 00:06:01 | building my stores this is what actually |
00:05:58 | 00:06:04 | allowed me to leave my day jobs this is |
00:06:01 | 00:06:06 | the perfect place to start as a beginner |
00:06:04 | 00:06:09 | but I think it is not the place where |
00:06:06 | 00:06:12 | you are supposed to stay as you build up |
00:06:09 | 00:06:13 | cashflow you have more money to reinvest |
00:06:12 | 00:06:15 | into your business and to build |
00:06:13 | 00:06:17 | something bigger and better |
00:06:15 | 00:06:19 | I had bored with this concept customer |
00:06:17 | 00:06:21 | loyalty was not there the email open |
00:06:19 | 00:06:23 | rates were not strong enough most people |
00:06:21 | 00:06:25 | you know they weren't familiar with the |
00:06:23 | 00:06:26 | brand they weren't tagging us on |
00:06:25 | 00:06:27 | Instagram they weren't telling their |
00:06:26 | 00:06:30 | friends and their friends weren't coming |
00:06:27 | 00:06:32 | to us organically like there |
00:06:30 | 00:06:35 | now I didn't like that and not just that |
00:06:32 | 00:06:37 | selling my first store I sold it for |
00:06:35 | 00:06:40 | about $15,000 but I knew I could have |
00:06:37 | 00:06:42 | gotten so much more than that being in |
00:06:40 | 00:06:45 | 2018 right now building a brand is |
00:06:42 | 00:06:48 | ultimately what will separate you it's |
00:06:45 | 00:06:49 | more complex now to be able to get that |
00:06:48 | 00:06:51 | purchased to be able to close that sale |
00:06:49 | 00:06:52 | they said you have to work a little bit |
00:06:51 | 00:06:55 | harder for it so now that we have this |
00:06:52 | 00:06:56 | in mind where did the actual transition |
00:06:55 | 00:06:59 | happen from building building an actual |
00:06:56 | 00:07:02 | traditional star to building a brain and |
00:06:59 | 00:07:04 | what am i focusing on right now before I |
00:07:02 | 00:07:06 | dive into that I just want to clarify I |
00:07:04 | 00:07:09 | am NOT going to be able to go over |
00:07:06 | 00:07:10 | everything inside of just this video it |
00:07:09 | 00:07:13 | would take me hours probably even days |
00:07:10 | 00:07:16 | it's going to be broken up over a series |
00:07:13 | 00:07:17 | of several videos on this channel where |
00:07:16 | 00:07:18 | I pretty much toking about everything |
00:07:17 | 00:07:21 | that I'm doing inside of my business |
00:07:18 | 00:07:23 | that you can go ahead and implement what |
00:07:21 | 00:07:26 | I'm giving you right now is really an |
00:07:23 | 00:07:29 | overhead look at what is going on how I |
00:07:26 | 00:07:31 | started and I'm really leading up to |
00:07:29 | 00:07:33 | what I'm doing right now |
00:07:31 | 00:07:37 | so let's transition into that right now |
00:07:33 | 00:07:40 | 0 to 206 6k in the first 74 days what |
00:07:37 | 00:07:42 | I'm focusing on is print-on-demand |
00:07:40 | 00:07:44 | which is might even be a shock to some |
00:07:42 | 00:07:45 | of you some of you it might not be |
00:07:44 | 00:07:48 | print-on-demand |
00:07:45 | 00:07:50 | is super super popular right now really |
00:07:48 | 00:07:52 | I like print-on-demand because there's |
00:07:50 | 00:07:54 | virtually no saturation to it because |
00:07:52 | 00:07:57 | you can keep coming up with design after |
00:07:54 | 00:07:59 | design and for design and people are |
00:07:57 | 00:08:01 | always going to wear clothing and when I |
00:07:59 | 00:08:03 | see print on demand don't think of just |
00:08:01 | 00:08:05 | t-shirts think of you know think of a |
00:08:03 | 00:08:08 | hoodies and backpacks and phone cases |
00:08:05 | 00:08:10 | everything like that not just t-shirts |
00:08:08 | 00:08:12 | and if you think about products like |
00:08:10 | 00:08:14 | that people are always going to need |
00:08:12 | 00:08:16 | them people are always going to buy |
00:08:14 | 00:08:19 | phone cases and hoodies and backpacks |
00:08:16 | 00:08:23 | which makes this perfect if you hit that |
00:08:19 | 00:08:24 | passion that passion niche so the |
00:08:23 | 00:08:26 | benefits of print-on-demand I |
00:08:24 | 00:08:27 | highlighted right here is you have fast |
00:08:26 | 00:08:29 | shipping times depending on your |
00:08:27 | 00:08:30 | supplier you're working with your |
00:08:29 | 00:08:33 | fulfillment center you have custom |
00:08:30 | 00:08:35 | packaging and like I said virtually no |
00:08:33 | 00:08:37 | set virtually no situation the cool |
00:08:35 | 00:08:40 | thing about custom packaging is it gives |
00:08:37 | 00:08:42 | you a really good opportunity to capital |
00:08:40 | 00:08:45 | on your brand whether you have your logo |
00:08:42 | 00:08:48 | outside in the box you have custom pack |
00:08:45 | 00:08:50 | ins inside or you have an actual box |
00:08:48 | 00:08:52 | really that that shows off your brand |
00:08:50 | 00:08:56 | you have your logo on the actual box as |
00:08:52 | 00:08:57 | opposed to the shipping slip so let me |
00:08:56 | 00:08:59 | give you an example of a couple |
00:08:57 | 00:09:01 | different print-on-demand stores we have |
00:08:59 | 00:09:03 | her in here shop logan paul comm this is |
00:09:01 | 00:09:05 | this is a super super popular one logan |
00:09:03 | 00:09:08 | paul pretty much used his personal brand |
00:09:05 | 00:09:11 | to put this one together right here and |
00:09:08 | 00:09:13 | I'd imagine I loved them know the |
00:09:11 | 00:09:15 | numbers on this store right here they |
00:09:13 | 00:09:17 | have to be absolutely crazy but you can |
00:09:15 | 00:09:20 | see that we have everything on here from |
00:09:17 | 00:09:23 | hoodies to t-shirts we have right here |
00:09:20 | 00:09:26 | we have leggings we have bed packs and |
00:09:23 | 00:09:27 | you can see it's a very clean website |
00:09:26 | 00:09:30 | this is kind of interesting right here |
00:09:27 | 00:09:32 | where it says hashtag be a maverick it |
00:09:30 | 00:09:35 | makes you feel a part of something it's |
00:09:32 | 00:09:37 | not just an ordinary website where you |
00:09:35 | 00:09:40 | go and buy something it's almost as if |
00:09:37 | 00:09:43 | Logan Paul has built a cult-like |
00:09:40 | 00:09:45 | following he's created a movement so |
00:09:43 | 00:09:48 | when I buy a t-shirt from here I'm not |
00:09:45 | 00:09:49 | IIIi feel part of something I can use |
00:09:48 | 00:09:52 | this hashtag on Instagram and I can see |
00:09:49 | 00:09:55 | everybody else tagging maverick but |
00:09:52 | 00:09:56 | Logan Paul and it it gives you it gives |
00:09:55 | 00:09:58 | you a really really good feeling and you |
00:09:56 | 00:09:59 | have their Instagram right here where |
00:09:58 | 00:10:02 | you where they're pretty much showing |
00:09:59 | 00:10:04 | off the purchases and everything on the |
00:10:02 | 00:10:05 | website if you oh and look at this is |
00:10:04 | 00:10:07 | another one that I pull up right here |
00:10:05 | 00:10:09 | republic of equal another print on |
00:10:07 | 00:10:12 | demand website actually found this one |
00:10:09 | 00:10:14 | on the Shopify exchange where it shows |
00:10:12 | 00:10:16 | different stores for sale and you can |
00:10:14 | 00:10:19 | see once again it's print on demand all |
00:10:16 | 00:10:21 | around one central niche and that's |
00:10:19 | 00:10:22 | actually something I forgot to go over |
00:10:21 | 00:10:24 | what I'm focusing on right now is not |
00:10:22 | 00:10:28 | just print on demand but one niche one |
00:10:24 | 00:10:30 | passion niche that I can focus on that I |
00:10:28 | 00:10:32 | can build an email list for that I can |
00:10:30 | 00:10:34 | build on social media for one nation you |
00:10:32 | 00:10:36 | can see right here that their niche is |
00:10:34 | 00:10:38 | equality and if I wanted to I could go |
00:10:36 | 00:10:40 | read more about it if I click the button |
00:10:38 | 00:10:41 | right here this is why and this is |
00:10:40 | 00:10:44 | absolutely amazing right here because |
00:10:41 | 00:10:46 | stories like this are what captivate |
00:10:44 | 00:10:49 | people things like this are what make |
00:10:46 | 00:10:51 | people feel a part of something didn't |
00:10:49 | 00:10:53 | feel a part of a movement and ultimately |
00:10:51 | 00:10:56 | this right here this is what may |
00:10:53 | 00:10:58 | a brand a brand is this story right here |
00:10:56 | 00:11:01 | that's really all a brand is one more |
00:10:58 | 00:11:03 | website you want to look at this one |
00:11:01 | 00:11:07 | here is a little bit more complex it is |
00:11:03 | 00:11:09 | love your melon calm and you can see |
00:11:07 | 00:11:12 | right here there there's these hats with |
00:11:09 | 00:11:14 | pretty much logos that are printed right |
00:11:12 | 00:11:17 | on to the hands this is love your melon |
00:11:14 | 00:11:19 | and like I said a little bit more |
00:11:17 | 00:11:21 | complex approach to print-on-demand but |
00:11:19 | 00:11:23 | one of the really big things I do want |
00:11:21 | 00:11:25 | to point out is the fact that they they |
00:11:23 | 00:11:26 | have a mission statement they have a |
00:11:25 | 00:11:29 | story on here they tok about how the |
00:11:26 | 00:11:32 | product is made this right here this is |
00:11:29 | 00:11:35 | all what contributes to building a brand |
00:11:32 | 00:11:37 | this is what really ultimately separates |
00:11:35 | 00:11:41 | you from everybody else that might be |
00:11:37 | 00:11:42 | selling this exact same thing so just a |
00:11:41 | 00:11:44 | few websites to take a look at will dive |
00:11:42 | 00:11:47 | into this a little bit more later on in |
00:11:44 | 00:11:48 | future videos and Daniel Wellington as |
00:11:47 | 00:11:50 | well Danny well in 10 first couple years |
00:11:48 | 00:11:52 | I thought the first two years they've |
00:11:50 | 00:11:54 | had about 200 million dollars in revenue |
00:11:52 | 00:11:57 | from just Instagram influencers and the |
00:11:54 | 00:12:00 | biggest thing about them is that they |
00:11:57 | 00:12:03 | have this sensational brand story that |
00:12:00 | 00:12:04 | captivates customers it's absolutely |
00:12:03 | 00:12:07 | amazing going to look into Daniel |
00:12:04 | 00:12:08 | Wellington they they're really really |
00:12:07 | 00:12:10 | big on the instagrams thrive off |
00:12:08 | 00:12:11 | influence and marketing the prior to |
00:12:10 | 00:12:15 | starting the store that I have right now |
00:12:11 | 00:12:17 | I found two or three similar website in |
00:12:15 | 00:12:20 | the same niche and I pretty much modeled |
00:12:17 | 00:12:21 | them so I looked at their ad strategy |
00:12:20 | 00:12:23 | what the layout was like on their |
00:12:21 | 00:12:25 | website what their social profiles look |
00:12:23 | 00:12:26 | like they're targeting what their |
00:12:25 | 00:12:28 | facebook ads looks like and look at |
00:12:26 | 00:12:31 | everything so for example if you want to |
00:12:28 | 00:12:34 | model a Dalek subscription website you |
00:12:31 | 00:12:36 | look at websites like bark box and a pup |
00:12:34 | 00:12:37 | box and you would go and I highlighted |
00:12:36 | 00:12:39 | this right here you would look at how do |
00:12:37 | 00:12:42 | they post on their social media well |
00:12:39 | 00:12:44 | first off they're not just posting all |
00:12:42 | 00:12:47 | products their feeds are not clogged up |
00:12:44 | 00:12:49 | with just product post saying hey come |
00:12:47 | 00:12:51 | and buy this product they are also |
00:12:49 | 00:12:53 | telling a story on their social media |
00:12:51 | 00:12:55 | they are telling their customers and |
00:12:53 | 00:12:57 | prospective customers what they are |
00:12:55 | 00:12:59 | about and again that's ultimately what |
00:12:57 | 00:13:01 | is going to captivate customers and |
00:12:59 | 00:13:03 | prospect of customers and then order a |
00:13:01 | 00:13:05 | box for yourself this is really really |
00:13:03 | 00:13:07 | big one of the big things I do with |
00:13:05 | 00:13:09 | website that I am trying to model is I |
00:13:07 | 00:13:10 | always make an order with them I see |
00:13:09 | 00:13:12 | what their packaging is like what kind |
00:13:10 | 00:13:14 | of email automation funnel I'm thrown |
00:13:12 | 00:13:16 | into I look at what the shipping times |
00:13:14 | 00:13:18 | are like and not just that I look at |
00:13:16 | 00:13:21 | what the customer service is like I |
00:13:18 | 00:13:23 | dissect these companies and I if I don't |
00:13:21 | 00:13:26 | copy but I implement and model what I |
00:13:23 | 00:13:28 | seem to be working for them into my own |
00:13:26 | 00:13:30 | business so diving into the first month |
00:13:28 | 00:13:33 | we used nothing but influencers to |
00:13:30 | 00:13:36 | generate traffic and sales so there was |
00:13:33 | 00:13:38 | no cold traffic there was no cold |
00:13:36 | 00:13:40 | traffic from Facebook the only Facebook |
00:13:38 | 00:13:42 | accounts we had running at that time |
00:13:40 | 00:13:43 | were retargeting edge which is an |
00:13:42 | 00:13:45 | absolute must especially if you're doing |
00:13:43 | 00:13:47 | influencer marketing and you have all |
00:13:45 | 00:13:48 | that traffic coming to your website |
00:13:47 | 00:13:52 | that's a different story |
00:13:48 | 00:13:54 | we used influencers to get us data on |
00:13:52 | 00:13:56 | what we can improve in the website how |
00:13:54 | 00:13:58 | much do we up the price what is our |
00:13:56 | 00:14:00 | winning product we tested several |
00:13:58 | 00:14:03 | different products that first month with |
00:14:00 | 00:14:05 | influencers which pretty much gave us |
00:14:03 | 00:14:07 | our winning product to use on Facebook |
00:14:05 | 00:14:11 | which is absolutely killing it right now |
00:14:07 | 00:14:12 | influencers give you data it's a great |
00:14:11 | 00:14:15 | place to start if you only have money to |
00:14:12 | 00:14:17 | initially invest into using Facebook Ads |
00:14:15 | 00:14:20 | and you know starting out with five $10 |
00:14:17 | 00:14:22 | a day and sets influencer marketing you |
00:14:20 | 00:14:24 | can throw 50 dollars into the tank and |
00:14:22 | 00:14:26 | see an immediate response and make |
00:14:24 | 00:14:27 | adjustments right then and there |
00:14:26 | 00:14:29 | so cash flow we were able to reinvest |
00:14:27 | 00:14:32 | those earnings and we were to keep |
00:14:29 | 00:14:34 | growing this is we predict if you do it |
00:14:32 | 00:14:36 | the right way we now have an Instagram |
00:14:34 | 00:14:40 | with over 100,000 followers we could I |
00:14:36 | 00:14:42 | consider this a cash asset so if we lose |
00:14:40 | 00:14:44 | our stream of traffic from Facebook we |
00:14:42 | 00:14:46 | can immediately go straight back over to |
00:14:44 | 00:14:49 | Instagram because we have a Rolodex of |
00:14:46 | 00:14:50 | influencers that we can use we have an |
00:14:49 | 00:14:52 | Instagram with a hundred thousand |
00:14:50 | 00:14:54 | followers that we can use so it's great |
00:14:52 | 00:14:57 | for data and building up what I call a |
00:14:54 | 00:14:59 | cash asset it also gave us customer |
00:14:57 | 00:15:01 | reviews which were just great for the |
00:14:59 | 00:15:03 | conversion rate and with working with |
00:15:01 | 00:15:05 | micro influencers I highlighted right |
00:15:03 | 00:15:08 | here we were able to get a lot of photos |
00:15:05 | 00:15:10 | that we could use on the website to |
00:15:08 | 00:15:13 | showcase what the product will look like |
00:15:10 | 00:15:16 | in real action and it was great because |
00:15:13 | 00:15:18 | we can send website hey this micro |
00:15:16 | 00:15:18 | influencer featured this product in |
00:15:18 | 00:15:21 | front of their audience |
00:15:18 | 00:15:22 | say 50,000 followers it was really |
00:15:21 | 00:15:25 | really good it was really great |
00:15:22 | 00:15:27 | credibility and then was all that all |
00:15:25 | 00:15:29 | the cells we got in that first month and |
00:15:27 | 00:15:32 | all the traffic we got we were able to |
00:15:29 | 00:15:33 | build our first look-alike audience and |
00:15:32 | 00:15:36 | that's what we used at the beginning of |
00:15:33 | 00:15:37 | October for Facebook ads and it did |
00:15:36 | 00:15:39 | really really well and we just kept |
00:15:37 | 00:15:41 | building off of that and scaling that |
00:15:39 | 00:15:44 | that first month we also developed a |
00:15:41 | 00:15:46 | brand story who are we and what are we |
00:15:44 | 00:15:49 | about and why exactly are we doing this |
00:15:46 | 00:15:49 | what differentiates us from everybody |
00:15:49 | 00:15:51 | else |
00:15:49 | 00:15:53 | put some time into this hire a |
00:15:51 | 00:15:56 | copywriter if you have to make it look |
00:15:53 | 00:15:58 | good we also bought a paid theme instead |
00:15:56 | 00:16:00 | of using the HP pool you know free theme |
00:15:58 | 00:16:01 | over on Shopify the free themes are good |
00:16:00 | 00:16:04 | but we wanted something a little bit |
00:16:01 | 00:16:06 | more a little bit a little bit better |
00:16:04 | 00:16:08 | that fits our brand that had photos that |
00:16:06 | 00:16:09 | stood out a little bit more it had |
00:16:08 | 00:16:12 | Instagram feeds at the bottom of the |
00:16:09 | 00:16:14 | homepage so we went ahead and also |
00:16:12 | 00:16:16 | bought a paid theme we created an email |
00:16:14 | 00:16:20 | marketing funnel the first month our |
00:16:16 | 00:16:23 | goal is to get it to 20% of our revenue |
00:16:20 | 00:16:25 | so if we make $150,000 per month we want |
00:16:23 | 00:16:27 | 20% of the revenue coming from email |
00:16:25 | 00:16:31 | marketing we're getting there slowly |
00:16:27 | 00:16:33 | right now and then lastly growing the |
00:16:31 | 00:16:35 | Instagram and the Facebook which we |
00:16:33 | 00:16:37 | consider cash assets telling a story on |
00:16:35 | 00:16:39 | there and really just building up a |
00:16:37 | 00:16:41 | following Instagram is perfect right now |
00:16:39 | 00:16:43 | because Instagram is in scrims on the |
00:16:41 | 00:16:45 | rise and if you lose that stream of |
00:16:43 | 00:16:46 | traffic at Facebook you get a hop back |
00:16:45 | 00:16:48 | on over to Instagram and it's also great |
00:16:46 | 00:16:50 | social proof for showing people how many |
00:16:48 | 00:16:52 | followers you have and people using your |
00:16:50 | 00:16:54 | products and people tagging you on |
00:16:52 | 00:16:56 | Instagram so building those cash assets |
00:16:54 | 00:16:57 | is something we really focused on in the |
00:16:56 | 00:17:00 | first month so second and third month |
00:16:57 | 00:17:02 | this is where we really started to |
00:17:00 | 00:17:04 | elevate a lot more of the branding |
00:17:02 | 00:17:06 | measures so for instance we purchased a |
00:17:04 | 00:17:08 | logo when we first started this business |
00:17:06 | 00:17:09 | it was something really really simple it |
00:17:08 | 00:17:12 | was actually done for free put on the |
00:17:09 | 00:17:14 | website and that was it now we have more |
00:17:12 | 00:17:16 | cash flow more profit to work with so we |
00:17:14 | 00:17:19 | spent about $400 on a really really nice |
00:17:16 | 00:17:20 | logo that was able to be printed on the |
00:17:19 | 00:17:23 | packaging so the pack ends the packing |
00:17:20 | 00:17:24 | slip and the actual packaging itself |
00:17:23 | 00:17:26 | depending on the full |
00:17:24 | 00:17:28 | and center that we are working with |
00:17:26 | 00:17:31 | after that is when we really started to |
00:17:28 | 00:17:34 | build out the team and hire v8 automatik |
00:17:31 | 00:17:36 | so that I myself can work in this pretty |
00:17:34 | 00:17:38 | much just work on the business and focus |
00:17:36 | 00:17:40 | on growth instead of working inside of |
00:17:38 | 00:17:42 | the business a few things we focused on |
00:17:40 | 00:17:44 | I highlighted right here is great |
00:17:42 | 00:17:47 | customer service and pretty much |
00:17:44 | 00:17:49 | training these VA s on what is expected |
00:17:47 | 00:17:52 | of them so making sure the customers are |
00:17:49 | 00:17:55 | responded to within 24 hours and then |
00:17:52 | 00:17:57 | hey if they're unsatisfied make them |
00:17:55 | 00:18:00 | happy because that that should be number |
00:17:57 | 00:18:01 | one with building a brand is resolving |
00:18:00 | 00:18:04 | customer issues and making sure that |
00:18:01 | 00:18:05 | there are fast response times and also |
00:18:04 | 00:18:07 | creating a group Jets I have a group |
00:18:05 | 00:18:09 | chat for ordering for customer service |
00:18:07 | 00:18:12 | and pretty much for the whole team in |
00:18:09 | 00:18:13 | general so that we can all stay on the |
00:18:12 | 00:18:16 | same page and if there's an update |
00:18:13 | 00:18:18 | everybody can be aware of it at the same |
00:18:16 | 00:18:20 | time upward is a phenomenal place to |
00:18:18 | 00:18:22 | find VA s that actually that's actually |
00:18:20 | 00:18:24 | where I initially started was up work |
00:18:22 | 00:18:27 | and there's a few other ones but out |
00:18:24 | 00:18:29 | work is a great place to start that's an |
00:18:27 | 00:18:31 | overhead look guys at pretty much the |
00:18:29 | 00:18:32 | start of the business and what happened |
00:18:31 | 00:18:35 | after that it pretty much after that |
00:18:32 | 00:18:37 | first month is when it really started to |
00:18:35 | 00:18:39 | see that growth and I want to tok about |
00:18:37 | 00:18:41 | a lot more of this in upcoming videos so |
00:18:39 | 00:18:43 | please be sure to leave a like on this |
00:18:41 | 00:18:45 | video go ahead and subscribe to the |
00:18:43 | 00:18:47 | channel and leave a comment down below |
00:18:45 | 00:18:49 | telling me what exactly you want to see |
00:18:47 | 00:18:50 | in upcoming videos if you have not yet |
00:18:49 | 00:18:52 | go ahead and join the Facebook group |
00:18:50 | 00:18:53 | I'll leave a link right down below this |
