- Hi, my name is Daniel, and in this video, I'm going to show you how to set up Google Analytics for your Shopify store.


1. Go to Google and click on Google Analytics

2. Click on Start Measuring and give it a name (recommended to use your Shopify store name)

3. Check all the boxes under We test everything

4. Enter your website URL and create both Google Analytics 4 and Universal Analytics properties

5. Verify the Universal Analytics property and click on Next

6. Accept the terms and conditions and click on Accept

7. Copy your tracking ID and paste it in Shopify under Online Store and Preferences

8. Enable Enhanced Ecommerce and click on Save

9. Enable Enhanced Ecommerce under Ecommerce Settings in Google Analytics and click on Save

10. Validate that the implementation is working by clicking on Real-Time Overview in Google Analytics

2. Go to datasettings and data retention.

- Choose 14 months for events data retention and click save.

3. Choose web property and provide your website URL.

- Click on Create a Stream and choose global site tag.

- Copy your tag.

- Find sim liquid file and paste your Google Analytics code in the head section.

- Click Save.
