In this article, we will be discussing how to customize the built-in collection page in your Shopify store. This feature allows you to organize and remove/add collections as per your preferences.

The built-in collection page in Shopify displays every single collection from your store in alphabetical order. However, this might not be the ideal way for everyone to display their collections. This is where the customization feature comes into play.

Steps to Customize the Collection Page:

1. Create a new menu: Go to the Shopify administration, click on online store, then navigation, and create a new menu named All Collections. Add the collections you want to display in this new menu.

2. Reorder and Remove/Add Collections: Now that you have created a new menu, you can reorder and remove/add collections from the built-in collection page.

3. Check Compatibility: It is important to note that not every Shopify theme is compatible with this feature. So, test it first and make changes accordingly.

4. Code Edit: If the changes do not reflect, you might need to make a code edit. Go to the HTML/CSS editor of your theme, find the line list collections, and replace it with the new code provided in the article.

By following the above steps, you can customize the built-in collection page in your Shopify store as per your preferences. This will make it easier for your customers to navigate through your collections and enhance their shopping experience. So, go ahead and try it out!

How To Change The Number Of Products In The Collection Page - 2022 Free Shopify Tutorial

How to Increase Products on Your Shopify Collection Page

In this article, we will discuss how to increase the number of products on your Shopify collection page. This is useful for those who want to showcase more products on a single page and increase their chances of making sales.

Options to Increase Products:

There are two options to increase the number of products on your collection page:

1. Customizer (No code required)

2. Code (Simple change in one line of code)

Using Customizer:

1. Go to Online Store and click on Customize.

2. Select your collection page and click on Collection Pages.

3. Look for the option to show more products per page and adjust it as needed.

4. Save and check your collection page to see the changes.

Using Code:

Things to Keep in Mind:

- Shopify limits the number of products on a collection page to 50.

Shopify 2.0 Templates Tutorial - Create Different Layouts for Product Pages & Collection Pages

Hey guys, I recently did a poll on my YouTube channel and the most voted topic was Shopify 2.0. Today, I want to talk about page templates, a new feature of Shopify 2.0 that many people aren't using yet.

Page templates are an underrated feature of Shopify 2.0 and can be quite powerful. One of the most common questions that people ask is how to add a feature to one product page without affecting the rest of the products on their store.

Benefits of Using Page Templates:

1. Add a specific feature to one product page without affecting the rest of the products on your store.

2. Create a completely different design for different product pages.

3. Use sections everywhere to add sections underneath your main product section on your product page.

4. Use page templates on your regular static pages like your about page or team page.

How to Use Page Templates:

1. Duplicate the default product template or create a new template on the basis of the default product template.

2. Customize the template with the desired features or sections.

3. Apply the template to the specific product or collection you want to use it on.

4. Be conscious of what kind of content you're putting on the template, as it will be the same across every product or collection that uses it.

Page templates are a powerful and underrated feature of Shopify 2.0. They allow you to add specific features or create a completely different design for different product pages or collections. By being conscious of what kind of content you're putting on the template, you can ensure that it's applicable to all products or collections that use it.

Shopify import products | Save time listing a larger number of products

Listing Products in Shopify:

- To access the product import file, click on products in the left-hand menu.

- There are two ways to obtain a copy of the product template: through the import link in the top right-hand corner or by listing a product manually first and then exporting the template.

- To generate the template, select export at the top right-hand corner of the screen and choose to export all products.

- The product handle is the key to linking product data with that product in Shopify, and it must be entered in column A for each row of the product listing.

- Most fields only need to be entered once, but there are some columns where more than one row needs to be filled out, such as the product description in column C.

- The product title is only entered into the top row of the spreadsheet, regardless of the number of rows allocated to that product.

Simple Product:

- Although looking at a product with no variance, the product is still listed multiple times based on the number of product images and product variants.

- The number of rows needed for each product is based on the highest number of images or variants.

- Most fields are straightforward, such as the product description, vendor name, standard product type, and tags.

- The product handle is entered in column A for each row of the product listing.

- The image source field requires the image address to be entered into the template, which is downloaded and uploaded onto the Shopify server.

Product with Variance:

- The product has seven variants and four images, which is why it uses seven rows of the spreadsheet.

- The options column is different, and the name of the option needs to be entered in the top row and not repeated for all the variants.

- Each value will need to be listed on a separate row in the option values column.

- For each variant row, the sku, variant weight in grams, whether the variant stock level is being tracked, whether the variant should continue to be sold when the stock level is at zero or below, and how the variant is being fulfilled needs to be entered.

- The variant price, the variant compare at price if applicable, whether the variant is a physical product and requires shipping, whether the variant is taxable, and the barcode should be entered for each variant if applicable.
