00:00:03 00:00:06 my drop shipping business did in the
00:00:05 00:00:09 month of october right so like the
00:00:06 00:00:12 revenue the expenses the profit the
00:00:09 00:00:14 profit per sale the roi on all the
00:00:12 00:00:16 platforms that i drop shipped on there
00:00:14 00:00:17 was uh five of them in total
00:00:16 00:00:19 um so we're gonna break down all those
00:00:17 00:00:20 numbers i like to do these a for me
00:00:19 00:00:24 obviously because i like to kind of
00:00:20 00:00:26 recap and it kind of lets me hit on and
00:00:24 00:00:28 kind of see exactly the numbers
00:00:26 00:00:30 specifically for each platform so i know
00:00:28 00:00:32 where my focus is at you know how to
00:00:30 00:00:34 improve certain things but also more
00:00:32 00:00:36 importantly it helps you guys because it
00:00:34 00:00:38 helps you see like how many sales i'm
00:00:36 00:00:41 making on each platform so you can kind
00:00:38 00:00:43 of weigh the you know the the time roi
00:00:41 00:00:45 on each platform as well as like the
00:00:43 00:00:46 profit per sale so you know like if
00:00:45 00:00:48 you're not marking your products up
00:00:46 00:00:50 enough and you can potentially get more
00:00:48 00:00:50 profit per sale right or vice versa
00:00:50 00:00:52 right
00:00:50 00:00:54 so there's a lot that you can take from
00:00:52 00:00:56 these as well as some inspiration if
00:00:54 00:00:57 you're just starting like by no means is
00:00:56 00:01:00 are these numbers unobtainable
00:00:57 00:01:01 whatsoever you can hit these numbers you
00:01:00 00:01:03 can even surpass these numbers i know a
00:01:01 00:01:05 lot of other people are doing a lot more
00:01:03 00:01:07 than me and so i think it's really
00:01:05 00:01:09 inspiring but also like i said it goes
00:01:07 00:01:11 to kind of show you like what's possible
00:01:09 00:01:14 and how you can kind of you know use
00:01:11 00:01:15 this insight to scale your own drop
00:01:14 00:01:18 shipping business okay so enough toking
00:01:15 00:01:19 let's just hop into the numbers uh i did
00:01:18 00:01:21 uh dropshipped on five different
00:01:19 00:01:22 marketplaces so we had facebook
00:01:21 00:01:24 marketplace obviously with a personal
00:01:22 00:01:26 account um it was mainly one personal
00:01:24 00:01:28 account but then i did also have some
00:01:26 00:01:29 sales on another personal account i
00:01:28 00:01:31 don't know what the actual you know
00:01:29 00:01:32 split is maybe like 70 30 or something
00:01:31 00:01:35 like that but the majority of the sales
00:01:32 00:01:36 happen on one um so we'll call that all
00:01:35 00:01:38 one personal account for facebook
00:01:36 00:01:41 marketplace the second one is a facebook
00:01:38 00:01:42 shop so it's just one facebook shop it's
00:01:41 00:01:44 not multiple shops i do have multiple
00:01:42 00:01:47 shops approved i'm only listing
00:01:44 00:01:48 currently on one of the shops
00:01:47 00:01:50 but i'm testing some other like
00:01:48 00:01:51 automation things out on some of the
00:01:50 00:01:53 other shops so that i can figure out
00:01:51 00:01:55 like you know is there a better way to
00:01:53 00:01:57 go out about listing this so that
00:01:55 00:01:59 potentially i don't have to use a va or
00:01:57 00:02:01 potentially i can you know scale a lot
00:01:59 00:02:03 faster with software and those solutions
00:02:01 00:02:05 are out there but i haven't had time yet
00:02:03 00:02:07 to really delve into them and i don't
00:02:05 00:02:08 know if i will this month i'm going to
00:02:07 00:02:10 tok about specifics of like you know
00:02:08 00:02:12 why november is a tough month for me and
00:02:10 00:02:13 i won't have a lot of you know space to
00:02:12 00:02:14 scale but those are definitely things
00:02:13 00:02:16 that i'm playing around with and we'll
00:02:14 00:02:18 report back to you guys as soon as i
00:02:16 00:02:20 figure them out and then i'll make
00:02:18 00:02:22 videos on right so that's like i said
00:02:20 00:02:24 personal marketplace facebook shop um
00:02:22 00:02:26 then obviously we drop shipped on amazon
00:02:24 00:02:29 we like i guess it is wade me and my
00:02:26 00:02:31 va's um but it's you know i dropshipped
00:02:29 00:02:32 on amazon um i also drop shipped a
00:02:31 00:02:34 little bit on mercari and a little bit
00:02:32 00:02:36 of poshmark which i did tok about
00:02:34 00:02:37 potentially wanting to scale up in the
00:02:36 00:02:38 month of october and we're going to
00:02:37 00:02:39 cover all those numbers here as well
00:02:38 00:02:40 okay
00:02:39 00:02:42 so
00:02:40 00:02:45 specifically on facebook marketplace uh
00:02:42 00:02:49 with the personal i had 357 sales in the
00:02:45 00:02:50 month of october uh i pulled in
00:02:49 00:02:53 hundred and fifty seven dollars and
00:02:50 00:02:55 twenty two cents i had to spend eleven
00:02:53 00:02:57 thousand five hundred fif sixty seven
00:02:55 00:02:59 dollars and ninety two cents to get
00:02:57 00:03:02 there for a profit of five thousand one
00:02:59 00:03:03 hundred dollars and forty cents and a
00:03:02 00:03:06 forty four
00:03:03 00:03:09 average profit margin okay so five
00:03:06 00:03:12 thousand one hundred dollars
00:03:09 00:03:16 divided by 357 and it's an average
00:03:12 00:03:18 profit of about 5 14 and 30 cents per
00:03:16 00:03:21 sale okay so those are the numbers for
00:03:18 00:03:24 facebook marketplace now on marketplace
00:03:21 00:03:25 specifically i i i
00:03:24 00:03:27 honestly can't remember how many times i
00:03:25 00:03:29 was suspended in the month of october
00:03:27 00:03:31 some uh like months i'll go this is
00:03:29 00:03:33 personal marketplace right not shops
00:03:31 00:03:34 some months i'll go and i won't have a
00:03:33 00:03:36 suspension some months i'll go and i'll
00:03:34 00:03:38 have multiple suspensions sometimes i'll
00:03:36 00:03:40 have one i was suspended multiple times
00:03:38 00:03:42 in october uh one of them was just like
00:03:40 00:03:44 a quick suspension then also we had like
00:03:42 00:03:46 them canceling all my orders in the
00:03:44 00:03:48 beginning of october which i also made a
00:03:46 00:03:49 video on so that probably cost me
00:03:48 00:03:51 another
00:03:49 00:03:52 i don't know eight hundred dollars ish i
00:03:51 00:03:53 think it was like seven or eight hundred
00:03:52 00:03:55 bucks or something because i did the
00:03:53 00:03:56 math on it one day uh so that's almost
00:03:55 00:03:57 another brand that i'm leaving on the
00:03:56 00:03:59 table because they canceled a bunch of
00:03:57 00:04:00 my orders and i had already shipped a
00:03:59 00:04:02 bunch of those orders out so i was out
00:04:00 00:04:05 the money um and then they also disabled
00:04:02 00:04:07 my account at one point uh for like a
00:04:05 00:04:09 day or two so not only did my personal
00:04:07 00:04:11 marketplace go down but my shop also
00:04:09 00:04:13 went down as well okay so i was
00:04:11 00:04:14 suspended multiple times so that's why
00:04:13 00:04:16 those numbers are a little bit lower
00:04:14 00:04:18 than i would have liked them to me
00:04:16 00:04:19 but still pretty good at like i said a
00:04:18 00:04:22 little bit over five grand just on
00:04:19 00:04:25 personal marketplace with again 357
00:04:22 00:04:28 sales so i'll take that sold numbers for
00:04:25 00:04:29 marketplace let's move to facebook shop
00:04:28 00:04:31 okay
00:04:29 00:04:33 so in my facebook shop um i actually did
00:04:31 00:04:35 a little bit worse than i did last month
00:04:33 00:04:36 um but for a number of different reasons
00:04:35 00:04:38 i was trying some different things i was
00:04:36 00:04:40 testing a bunch of different products i
00:04:38 00:04:41 also had to switch a va twice so that
00:04:40 00:04:43 you know kind of slowed me down because
00:04:41 00:04:44 i'm not actually listening to my shop
00:04:43 00:04:46 and i'm also not listening to my
00:04:44 00:04:48 marketplace myself personally i have
00:04:46 00:04:50 specific vas that do that um and so
00:04:48 00:04:51 there was a lot of different things that
00:04:50 00:04:54 were you know kind of going on in the
00:04:51 00:04:56 month of october for my listeners and
00:04:54 00:04:58 you know also like like i said i was
00:04:56 00:05:00 disabled the one time on shop uh because
00:04:58 00:05:02 i was disabled on personal marketplace
00:05:00 00:05:03 and if your your shop is connected to
00:05:02 00:05:05 your personal marketplace then obviously
00:05:03 00:05:06 your shop goes down as well for that
00:05:05 00:05:08 period of time so these numbers are a
00:05:06 00:05:11 little bit less than i would like but
00:05:08 00:05:14 they are still pretty solid so 411 sales
00:05:11 00:05:16 i uh ended up pulling in 12 500 and 91
00:05:14 00:05:18 cents i had to spend almost eight
00:05:16 00:05:20 thousand dollars at seven thousand nine
00:05:18 00:05:22 hundred and eight dollars and five cents
00:05:20 00:05:24 to get that money uh for a profit of
00:05:22 00:05:27 four thousand five hundred and ninety
00:05:24 00:05:28 two dollars and eighty six cents uh in
00:05:27 00:05:32 the month of october okay and that was
00:05:28 00:05:35 an average profit uh per sale of about
00:05:32 00:05:38 our average roi of a little bit over 58
00:05:35 00:05:40 so that's pretty freaking good roi and
00:05:38 00:05:43 i'm still not sure like i i list higher
00:05:40 00:05:45 on shops but i think like i have
00:05:43 00:05:46 i again i still have to go back i don't
00:05:45 00:05:48 have a lot of time to like to focus on
00:05:46 00:05:51 these specific numbers aspects but like
00:05:48 00:05:53 for some reason and it's not just it's
00:05:51 00:05:55 not only because
00:05:53 00:05:58 i'm listing higher but also because the
00:05:55 00:05:59 uh five percent like you you on on
00:05:58 00:06:01 personal marketplace they take that five
00:05:59 00:06:03 percent fee on shops they're not
00:06:01 00:06:06 currently doing that which is why my
00:06:03 00:06:08 margins are also higher right so
00:06:06 00:06:11 if you're like spending 10 grand or 15
00:06:08 00:06:14 grand on shops and marketplace but your
00:06:11 00:06:16 are your your roi is 20 higher on one
00:06:14 00:06:19 you're gonna make a lot and net a lot
00:06:16 00:06:20 more money on that right so that's just
00:06:19 00:06:23 even though i made a lot more sales on
00:06:20 00:06:25 on shops and you'll see here in a second
00:06:23 00:06:28 that my uh my profit per sale was down
00:06:25 00:06:30 my margin was actually higher okay
00:06:28 00:06:33 so if we do all the the numbers here
00:06:30 00:06:35 it's 400 and let's do this backwards so
00:06:33 00:06:38 four thousand five hundred and ninety
00:06:35 00:06:41 two dollars and 86 cents divided by 411
00:06:38 00:06:45 sales is a profit uh an average profit
00:06:41 00:06:49 per uh excuse me an average of 11
00:06:45 00:06:51 and about 18 cents profit per sale
00:06:49 00:06:54 okay so profit for sale was down but
00:06:51 00:06:56 again the roi was higher so you know i
00:06:54 00:06:57 like that a lot because
00:06:56 00:06:59 if i'm getting a higher return on my
00:06:57 00:07:01 money um even if i'm making a little bit
00:06:59 00:07:03 less i didn't have to do as much work to
00:07:01 00:07:05 get that
00:07:03 00:07:06 all right so next is poshmark and i
00:07:05 00:07:09 actually had a plan in the beginning of
00:07:06 00:07:11 october to scale poshmark and mercari up
00:07:09 00:07:13 i didn't really do it so these numbers
00:07:11 00:07:16 again are a little bit down i would set
00:07:13 00:07:18 another plan here to scale them up again
00:07:16 00:07:20 in in november and it is something i
00:07:18 00:07:22 plan on doing because looking at the
00:07:20 00:07:24 numbers and like how it actually works
00:07:22 00:07:26 like i don't see any reason why i can't
00:07:24 00:07:27 get to a thousand dollars profit and a
00:07:26 00:07:29 thousand dollars profit on both of those
00:07:27 00:07:31 right so one thousand on mercari a
00:07:29 00:07:33 thousand on poshmark it's very very
00:07:31 00:07:34 within the realm of possibility to do
00:07:33 00:07:36 that and i think i can definitely do
00:07:34 00:07:38 that if i would just focus on it and
00:07:36 00:07:40 maybe hire another va right i've been
00:07:38 00:07:41 putting it off it's like been on my list
00:07:40 00:07:43 of things to do at the bottom and i just
00:07:41 00:07:45 keep kind of pushing it there and i
00:07:43 00:07:47 haven't really done it i will do it i
00:07:45 00:07:49 will not do it in the month of november
00:07:47 00:07:50 because you know i'm focused on a lot of
00:07:49 00:07:52 other things in the month of november
00:07:50 00:07:53 i'm also getting married in two weeks
00:07:52 00:07:55 and then i have my honeymoon for like an
00:07:53 00:07:57 entire week so like half of the month of
00:07:55 00:07:59 november i'm not even going to be around
00:07:57 00:08:00 doing my e-commerce business so i'm not
00:07:59 00:08:02 really going to be setting too many
00:08:00 00:08:03 goals or like you know trying to scale
00:08:02 00:08:05 anything in the month of november i'm
00:08:03 00:08:07 just going to kind of be focusing on
00:08:05 00:08:10 maintaining what i can and trying to you
00:08:07 00:08:12 know milk all the the q4 sales out of
00:08:10 00:08:14 the two weeks that i am doing stuff in
00:08:12 00:08:15 november right because during my wedding
00:08:14 00:08:17 like i don't want to be stressed about
00:08:15 00:08:18 anything with my business i want to be
00:08:17 00:08:20 focused on that and enjoying it and same
00:08:18 00:08:22 thing with my honeymoon like once i get
00:08:20 00:08:23 you know once i start traveling for vk
00:08:22 00:08:25 for vacation on my honeymoon like i
00:08:23 00:08:27 don't want to worry about it hands off
00:08:25 00:08:28 everything's turned off i don't care
00:08:27 00:08:30 okay
00:08:28 00:08:31 so those are i didn't actually go over
00:08:30 00:08:34 the poshmark numbers but they aren't
00:08:31 00:08:36 that great 18 sales on poshmark uh
00:08:34 00:08:38 473.60
00:08:36 00:08:40 is what i pulled in had to spend a
00:08:38 00:08:43 little bit under 300 to get that the
00:08:40 00:08:45 profit on poshmark was 178
00:08:43 00:08:46 uh and the actual margins everybody
00:08:45 00:08:48 always complains about the margins on
00:08:46 00:08:51 like poshmark or uh mercari saying that
00:08:48 00:08:53 they're super low i don't see that in
00:08:51 00:08:55 every single month my my roi is
00:08:53 00:08:58 relatively good on both of those it's a
00:08:55 00:09:00 60 margin right on the dot 60 roi right
00:08:58 00:09:02 on the dot um you know for poshmark and
00:09:00 00:09:04 i think that's pretty solid even though
00:09:02 00:09:06 that the fees are high i mark all my
00:09:04 00:09:07 products up even higher and people just
00:09:06 00:09:09 seem to buy them don't know why i can't
00:09:07 00:09:12 explain it to you but they do and they
00:09:09 00:09:15 do month in and month out okay so 178
00:09:12 00:09:18 dollars and three cents divided by 18
00:09:15 00:09:19 sales is a little bit under 10 profit
00:09:18 00:09:21 per sale
00:09:19 00:09:24 all right
00:09:21 00:09:25 now with mercari i made 31 sales so it's
00:09:24 00:09:27 about the same you know numbers about
00:09:25 00:09:28 the same things you know everything that
00:09:27 00:09:30 i'm doing on poshmark i'm pretty much
00:09:28 00:09:32 doing on my car just the same i just
00:09:30 00:09:35 haven't scaled it so 31 sales on mercari
00:09:32 00:09:36 in the month of october i pulled in just
00:09:35 00:09:39 under eight hundred dollars i had to
00:09:36 00:09:42 spend just under 500 to get that the
00:09:39 00:09:45 profit was 305 dollars and one cent and
00:09:42 00:09:48 again the roi was 62
00:09:45 00:09:49 so pretty solid again on mercari okay
00:09:48 00:09:51 and there's a lot of scalability with
00:09:49 00:09:53 both of these platforms they're not my
00:09:51 00:09:55 main focus because i'd be an idiot to
00:09:53 00:09:56 like take my focus off shops and
00:09:55 00:09:58 marketplace when i'm making a
00:09:56 00:10:00 significant amount more and then turn it
00:09:58 00:10:02 on like you know mercari and poshmark
00:10:00 00:10:04 where i'm not making a lot more but you
00:10:02 00:10:06 know in the future i do plan on like
00:10:04 00:10:08 scaling them up as long as everything's
00:10:06 00:10:10 going smoothly and still scaling with
00:10:08 00:10:11 shops and marketplace and obviously
00:10:10 00:10:12 amazon which we're going to tok about
00:10:11 00:10:14 next okay
00:10:12 00:10:15 but there is a lot of potential here if
00:10:14 00:10:18 you're looking for another you know
00:10:15 00:10:20 marketplace to scale mercari poshmark
00:10:18 00:10:22 both phenomenal opportunities okay
00:10:20 00:10:26 so let's run the profit numbers here for
00:10:22 00:10:30 sale 305 dollars and one cents divided
00:10:26 00:10:34 by 31 sales is again just under 10 per
00:10:30 00:10:37 sale okay all right last one is amazon
00:10:34 00:10:38 and amazon's roi is always a little bit
00:10:37 00:10:41 lower it's more competitive on amazon
00:10:38 00:10:42 although if you find a a great product
00:10:41 00:10:44 it's it's
00:10:42 00:10:46 the way that you approach amazon is very
00:10:44 00:10:49 very different than drop shipping on
00:10:46 00:10:50 marketplaces like mercari or poshmark or
00:10:49 00:10:52 you know facebook marketplace or
00:10:50 00:10:54 facebook shops or anything like that or
00:10:52 00:10:56 even ebay right it's very very different
00:10:54 00:10:57 because you're competing for buy boxes
00:10:56 00:10:59 and certain products instead of just
00:10:57 00:11:01 listing all these products and then
00:10:59 00:11:03 hoping some sells right you're competing
00:11:01 00:11:05 on a listing rather than like the whole
00:11:03 00:11:07 marketplace specifically against
00:11:05 00:11:09 everybody else so the rois tend to be a
00:11:07 00:11:11 little bit lower but when you find hot
00:11:09 00:11:13 selling products you just rake in the
00:11:11 00:11:15 money and consistent sales right
00:11:13 00:11:17 so it's a lot more
00:11:15 00:11:20 work to to find products for amazon but
00:11:17 00:11:22 once you find the products from amazon
00:11:20 00:11:23 it's a lot less hands-off and you really
00:11:22 00:11:25 don't have to do anything you just
00:11:23 00:11:27 continue to get sales on that product
00:11:25 00:11:28 assuming it stays in stok assuming you
00:11:27 00:11:29 don't have any other competitors top on
00:11:28 00:11:31 the listing or you know anything like
00:11:29 00:11:32 that or someone tanks the price or
00:11:31 00:11:34 something like that but again all this
00:11:32 00:11:36 stuff too is stuff i tok about dropship
00:11:34 00:11:37 pro i rarely promote it but if you want
00:11:36 00:11:39 you know
00:11:37 00:11:40 to hop in and learn not just amazon not
00:11:39 00:11:43 just facebook shops not just facebook
00:11:40 00:11:45 marketplace mercari poshmark and a
00:11:43 00:11:47 number of other places as well always
00:11:45 00:11:50 linked in the description okay so on
00:11:47 00:11:53 amazon in the month of october i had 326
00:11:50 00:11:54 sales uh i ended up pulling in about 14
00:11:53 00:11:56 500
00:11:54 00:11:59 had to spend almost 12 grand to get
00:11:56 00:12:01 there and the profit was almost twenty
00:11:59 00:12:02 seven hundred dollars for two thousand
00:12:01 00:12:05 six hundred ninety one dollars and
00:12:02 00:12:07 twenty seven cents specifically okay the
00:12:05 00:12:08 roi uh was about twenty three percent
00:12:07 00:12:10 okay
00:12:08 00:12:13 overall so let's do the math here it's
00:12:10 00:12:13 2691.27
00:12:14 00:12:21 divided by 326 sales and it was about
00:12:17 00:12:22 8.25 profit per sale okay so now let's
00:12:21 00:12:24 actually add up the numbers which is
00:12:22 00:12:26 something something i completely forgot
00:12:24 00:12:27 to do last time and i think i just like
00:12:26 00:12:29 threw it in there at the top so let's
00:12:27 00:12:31 add up all the numbers again one thing i
00:12:29 00:12:34 didn't say is i did end up paying my
00:12:31 00:12:36 va's 2400 bucks to actually run you know
00:12:34 00:12:38 everything pretty much minus the order
00:12:36 00:12:40 processing so everything listing
00:12:38 00:12:42 customer service all the stuff that
00:12:40 00:12:45 isn't order processing i ended up paying
00:12:42 00:12:47 my va's 2 400 so we're going to take
00:12:45 00:12:49 that as an expense off the top and i'll
00:12:47 00:12:50 tell you specifically what my drop
00:12:49 00:12:53 shipping business netted
00:12:50 00:12:55 total overall uh in the month of october
00:12:53 00:12:57 okay so let's add it all up it was
00:12:55 00:12:59 two thousand
00:12:57 00:13:01 six hundred ninety one dollars and
00:12:59 00:13:03 twenty seven cents
00:13:01 00:13:05 i'm gonna take the app it was i think it
00:13:03 00:13:06 was 300 and 200 for poshmark it might
00:13:05 00:13:08 have been like five or ten dollars
00:13:06 00:13:10 difference but just to kind of throw
00:13:08 00:13:14 those in so we'll add another 500 bucks
00:13:10 00:13:14 for shops it was 4592.86
00:13:15 00:13:20 for marketplace it was
00:13:19 00:13:23 five thousand one hundred and forty
00:13:20 00:13:24 cents and so i ended up pulling in
00:13:23 00:13:26 twelve thousand eight hundred and eighty
00:13:24 00:13:28 four dollars and fifty three cents again
00:13:26 00:13:30 give or take five ten dollars for
00:13:28 00:13:33 poshmark mercari um ended up paying my
00:13:30 00:13:35 va's 2400 bucks so if we take 2 400
00:13:33 00:13:36 bucks off the top of that i ended up
00:13:35 00:13:37 netting 10
00:13:36 00:13:39 484
00:13:37 00:13:41 and 53 cents
00:13:39 00:13:44 roughly in the month of october okay and
00:13:41 00:13:45 that is all profit those are the numbers
00:13:44 00:13:47 specifically for the entire drop
00:13:45 00:13:48 shipping business for each specific
00:13:47 00:13:49 marketplace
