00:00:36 00:00:40 haven't toked about much but a lot of
00:00:39 00:00:42 you it was especially my students to
00:00:40 00:00:46 know that I have a subscription box
00:00:42 00:00:49 business has a roughly 2,500 now
00:00:46 00:00:52 subscribers in it monthly which equates
00:00:49 00:00:54 to about forty-five fifty thousand
00:00:52 00:00:56 dollars in revenue per month for that
00:00:54 00:00:58 business but I wanted to show you guys
00:00:56 00:01:02 because that's actually the business I'm
00:00:58 00:01:03 currently in the process of selling so I
00:01:02 00:01:06 could tok about a little bit more as
00:01:03 00:01:09 time goes on here but I want to show you
00:01:06 00:01:11 guys how how we grew it as fast as we
00:01:09 00:01:12 did because it didn't take long we
00:01:11 00:01:16 actually got it up to two thousand
00:01:12 00:01:19 subscribers and less than a year right
00:01:16 00:01:22 it was like really quickly and I want to
00:01:19 00:01:23 show you guys how how we did that and it
00:01:22 00:01:26 was primarily using click funnels right
00:01:23 00:01:28 now what we we ended up doing we we
00:01:26 00:01:30 similar if you've been following the
00:01:28 00:01:33 channel guys you know how mentor box is
00:01:30 00:01:34 completely built on click funnels well
00:01:33 00:01:36 that's exactly what we did we had with
00:01:34 00:01:40 this business however when we were
00:01:36 00:01:43 thinking it's time to sell the business
00:01:40 00:01:45 we thought maybe hey the people like the
00:01:43 00:01:46 buyers might be more interested if it's
00:01:45 00:01:49 on a platform like if all the customers
00:01:46 00:01:51 are on a platform like on Shopify or
00:01:49 00:01:53 another platform called crate joy which
00:01:51 00:01:54 is specifically for subscription boxes
00:01:53 00:01:57 and that's actually what we ended up
00:01:54 00:01:59 doing and hindsight the growth slowed
00:01:57 00:02:02 tremendously ever since we moved it over
00:01:59 00:02:03 to a crate joy or even if we had moved
00:02:02 00:02:07 it over to Shopify the growth is just
00:02:03 00:02:09 very very small and you're about to see
00:02:07 00:02:13 why why we were able to grow so fast as
00:02:09 00:02:16 compared to let's say a subscription box
00:02:13 00:02:19 just primarily cells on a Shopify store
00:02:16 00:02:23 a crate joist or and you're severely at
00:02:19 00:02:25 a disadvantage when you do so so guys
00:02:23 00:02:28 the the cool thing about it is the
00:02:25 00:02:30 funnel is the same right the funnel is
00:02:28 00:02:32 completely the same as we've been
00:02:30 00:02:35 toking about right we have an opt-in
00:02:32 00:02:40 page right we have our order form page
00:02:35 00:02:42 all right we have upsell one upsell two
00:02:40 00:02:45 and then a thank-you page we'll keep
00:02:42 00:02:48 this keep this as simple as possible so
00:02:45 00:02:50 right we have our let me write this out
00:02:48 00:02:53 so because my mouse has been acting
00:02:50 00:03:00 funny lately all right so we have our
00:02:53 00:03:09 opt-in page here opt-in order order
00:03:00 00:03:12 upsell one one upsell two and a Thank
00:03:09 00:03:15 You page right and the thing here guys
00:03:12 00:03:17 is it's not like the thing a lot of
00:03:15 00:03:19 subscription box business owners don't
00:03:17 00:03:22 realize is selling subscription on the
00:03:19 00:03:25 front end is extremely difficult
00:03:22 00:03:27 extremely difficult and the reason is
00:03:25 00:03:29 people hate being billed people do not
00:03:27 00:03:31 like being billed on a monthly basis
00:03:29 00:03:33 like who wants that nobody wants that
00:03:31 00:03:34 all right it's like oh it's an edit
00:03:33 00:03:37 here's that bill every day of the month
00:03:34 00:03:38 right and it's hard for people to commit
00:03:37 00:03:41 to something like that right off the bat
00:03:38 00:03:43 alright so the way we structured it and
00:03:41 00:03:45 I was heavily invested obviously in
00:03:43 00:03:47 funnels guys and I thought in my head I
00:03:45 00:03:50 was like when I started that company I
00:03:47 00:03:54 was like what if I use these funnels to
00:03:50 00:03:55 scale this business right because the
00:03:54 00:03:57 psychology of it guys and with the
00:03:55 00:03:58 funnels like I've been saying you guys
00:03:57 00:04:01 right every step of the way is a yes or
00:03:58 00:04:02 no question it's very simple right on
00:04:01 00:04:06 our opt-in page right they give us our
00:04:02 00:04:08 their email address right owner forum is
00:04:06 00:04:11 billing right they give up their billing
00:04:08 00:04:13 and click yes right and an upsell right
00:04:11 00:04:15 here so this is how the flow of the
00:04:13 00:04:16 funnel was basically right we got our
00:04:15 00:04:19 opt-in for a free plus shipping offer
00:04:16 00:04:21 let's say all right a free plus shipping
00:04:19 00:04:24 offer we primarily used free plus
00:04:21 00:04:26 shipping offers or we did like a big
00:04:24 00:04:28 discount right because those are
00:04:26 00:04:30 acquire new customers like that right
00:04:28 00:04:33 it's easy to acquire new cold traffic
00:04:30 00:04:34 that you're sending to a funnel if it's
00:04:33 00:04:37 a free plus shipping our big discount
00:04:34 00:04:38 all right because you want them to do
00:04:37 00:04:41 like a little micro commitment so a free
00:04:38 00:04:43 plus shipping offer right we send them
00:04:41 00:04:46 to our order page where they fill out
00:04:43 00:04:47 their billing information and this would
00:04:46 00:04:51 be our free plus shipping product
00:04:47 00:04:53 obviously not a subscription product yet
00:04:51 00:04:54 upsell one we would sell them more of
00:04:53 00:04:56 the same thing that we did under order
00:04:54 00:05:00 form right just getting them saying yes
00:04:56 00:05:04 some more right and upsell to is where
00:05:00 00:05:06 we would now offer them a trial or the
00:05:04 00:05:09 full subscription we tested a million
00:05:06 00:05:10 different ways here and there's a lot of
00:05:09 00:05:12 things that work and a lot of things
00:05:10 00:05:13 that don't work and that's too much to
00:05:12 00:05:15 go into right now about how to get them
00:05:13 00:05:17 to say yes right here right but
00:05:15 00:05:21 essentially we had a video on this page
00:05:17 00:05:24 right and on this upsell too we would
00:05:21 00:05:27 say hey do you want to join our monthly
00:05:24 00:05:28 box or members area or whatever you're
00:05:27 00:05:31 selling that's a monthly subscription
00:05:28 00:05:33 plan right and we'd explain it all in
00:05:31 00:05:35 the video obviously there'll be a Terms
00:05:33 00:05:36 of Service here that hey you are going
00:05:35 00:05:39 to be billed you know twenty twenty-five
00:05:36 00:05:41 dollars a month blah blah blah and if
00:05:39 00:05:43 they click yes they would be sent
00:05:41 00:05:44 obviously - Thank You page yes or no
00:05:43 00:05:47 they'd be sent to the Thank You page
00:05:44 00:05:49 right and that's guys the cool thing
00:05:47 00:05:53 about using the funnel to do this and
00:05:49 00:06:00 you guys might not realize this is right
00:05:53 00:06:05 here we are already making money right
00:06:00 00:06:07 so say on average on average right it
00:06:05 00:06:10 costs us about five dollars to acquire a
00:06:07 00:06:13 customer on Facebook ads let's say right
00:06:10 00:06:15 well our average cart value here was
00:06:13 00:06:19 closer to twenty-five dollars right
00:06:15 00:06:21 twenty-five dollar average cart value so
00:06:19 00:06:24 we were actually making money right here
00:06:21 00:06:28 we were making money through our funnel
00:06:24 00:06:31 already so whenever it's amazing so this
00:06:28 00:06:33 the subscription we essentially were
00:06:31 00:06:36 getting paid to it so if we if I was
00:06:33 00:06:38 just sending subscription products to as
00:06:36 00:06:39 the front and offer I would have to pay
00:06:38 00:06:41 for a customer to become a
00:06:39 00:06:43 scriber right I would have to pay for it
00:06:41 00:06:45 here I'm actually making money because
00:06:43 00:06:48 of my free plus shipping offer my
00:06:45 00:06:53 average carbon is 25 - the add cost
00:06:48 00:06:55 Manus - the - the like product costs all
00:06:53 00:06:57 that stuff so let's say you know worst
00:06:55 00:07:03 case we're making ten dollars of profit
00:06:57 00:07:06 perk average customer right plus if they
00:07:03 00:07:11 said yes to our subscription that's an
00:07:06 00:07:14 extra - we'll say $25 per month right
00:07:11 00:07:15 and we don't have to pay to acquire that
00:07:14 00:07:17 customer right here because we already
00:07:15 00:07:20 got them on a profit right here on
00:07:17 00:07:22 average which is that is how we were
00:07:20 00:07:24 able to scale it because when when this
00:07:22 00:07:26 was when I was like in the heat of this
00:07:24 00:07:30 growing this company guys I could spend
00:07:26 00:07:35 a thousand dollars a day on ads like one
00:07:30 00:07:36 ad set right and be profitable right and
00:07:35 00:07:39 grow my subscribers at the same time of
00:07:36 00:07:41 course there's gonna be people that say
00:07:39 00:07:44 no here right but what we've seen on
00:07:41 00:07:46 average here we were getting close to
00:07:44 00:07:48 ten to twenty percent of people were
00:07:46 00:07:49 saying yes right and the reason they
00:07:48 00:07:51 were saying yes guys is because they
00:07:49 00:07:54 said yes here they said yes here they
00:07:51 00:07:56 said yes or no here right when you get
00:07:54 00:07:58 people saying yes the more times in a
00:07:56 00:08:00 row right they're gonna be a lot less
00:07:58 00:08:02 more likely to buy your subscription
00:08:00 00:08:04 product people hate buying subscription
00:08:02 00:08:05 on the front end right here your
00:08:04 00:08:08 indoctrinating them into your business
00:08:05 00:08:10 right you're making money here right so
00:08:08 00:08:14 essentially you're making money right
00:08:10 00:08:16 for acquiring a customer here guys this
00:08:14 00:08:18 is the same strategy that a lot of big
00:08:16 00:08:20 businesses do for example with click
00:08:18 00:08:22 funnels the reason click funnels was
00:08:20 00:08:23 able to scout a 100 million dollar
00:08:22 00:08:26 company or whatever it is that now
00:08:23 00:08:27 ridiculous is because russell brunson
00:08:26 00:08:29 had all these free plus shipping book
00:08:27 00:08:31 funnels right he had the book funnel you
00:08:29 00:08:33 went through he made a little bit of
00:08:31 00:08:35 money on that book funnel but he also
00:08:33 00:08:37 knew the number hey 10% of people 15
00:08:35 00:08:39 percent of people that bought that book
00:08:37 00:08:41 would is eventually go on his
00:08:39 00:08:43 reoccurring click funnels subscription
00:08:41 00:08:46 does that make sense
00:08:43 00:08:49 right it's it's amazing it's truly
00:08:46 00:08:51 amazing like this this this right here
00:08:49 00:08:52 is what can scale a business like crazy
00:08:51 00:08:55 guys it's it
00:08:52 00:08:58 it's absurd and you can literally have
00:08:55 00:09:04 this implemented into your funnel so
00:08:58 00:09:08 side you note here guys is the reason
00:09:04 00:09:11 this doesn't work like they're the one
00:09:08 00:09:14 downside to to all of this right because
00:09:11 00:09:17 it all seems amazing right your customer
00:09:14 00:09:19 service is going to suck right here so
00:09:17 00:09:23 you need to have your customer service
00:09:19 00:09:24 knocked like look unlock like you need
00:09:23 00:09:27 to look three or four support people if
00:09:24 00:09:28 you're pushing as many and like pushing
00:09:27 00:09:31 a lot of traffic to this and getting
00:09:28 00:09:33 subscribers alright because when you're
00:09:31 00:09:35 using a platform like Creek Julie or
00:09:33 00:09:35 Shopify right the customer has an
00:09:35 00:09:37 account
00:09:35 00:09:39 alright the customer has an account that
00:09:37 00:09:42 they can log into and cancel whenever
00:09:39 00:09:45 they want with this guys right you're
00:09:42 00:09:46 going on to a stripe subscription plan
00:09:45 00:09:49 right yeah to set it up there's some
00:09:46 00:09:51 stuff you got to setup all there and
00:09:49 00:09:54 when you own that stripe subscription
00:09:51 00:09:57 plan right they don't have access to
00:09:54 00:09:59 cancel themselves so essentially you
00:09:57 00:10:02 need good customer support people
00:09:59 00:10:04 hopefully you have a support number that
00:10:02 00:10:06 would be preferable if you have a
00:10:04 00:10:10 support number that they could reach at
00:10:06 00:10:13 and they would have to call to cancel
00:10:10 00:10:14 they would have to email to cancel and a
00:10:13 00:10:16 lot of you might be thinking oh that's a
00:10:14 00:10:18 terrible thing that's terrible my
00:10:16 00:10:20 customer service will go down the drain
00:10:18 00:10:22 but guys to being 100% honest with you
00:10:20 00:10:24 and you guys know I'm 100% honest with
00:10:22 00:10:25 you you don't want to make it like like
00:10:24 00:10:27 look break their interface okay just
00:10:25 00:10:28 cancel right here and you know through
00:10:27 00:10:30 email here this is just cancel right
00:10:28 00:10:32 here you want it with the subscription
00:10:30 00:10:35 box business you don't want to make it
00:10:32 00:10:37 like a super super simple to cancel you
00:10:35 00:10:39 want to make them you know go on Dollar
00:10:37 00:10:41 Shave Club it's very difficult to find
00:10:39 00:10:42 out how to cancel your thing right there
00:10:41 00:10:44 kind of hide it you got to find it bah
00:10:42 00:10:46 bah bah and then eventually you know 30
00:10:44 00:10:48 seconds of looking you're like I don't
00:10:46 00:10:49 even want to cancel anymore all right
00:10:48 00:10:51 that's the psychology behind it it's the
00:10:49 00:10:53 same thing here so we that's why your
00:10:51 00:10:55 customer service here is actually very
00:10:53 00:10:57 very important it's right there one of
00:10:55 00:10:59 the most important pieces of the
00:10:57 00:11:00 business guys the customer service right
00:10:59 00:11:01 so they can follow up with customers if
00:11:00 00:11:03 they need to update their payment
00:11:01 00:11:05 information if they if they want to
00:11:03 00:11:07 cancel right
00:11:05 00:11:09 and especially you can also do different
00:11:07 00:11:11 upsells here as well it there's some
00:11:09 00:11:13 crazy stuff you could do within
00:11:11 00:11:15 clickfunnels and subscription businesses
00:11:13 00:11:17 but I don't want to go into all that
00:11:15 00:11:19 book guys if you found this stuff cool
00:11:17 00:11:21 this is what I help a lot of students
00:11:19 00:11:23 implement into their business and I work
00:11:21 00:11:24 with them one-on-one to do this because
00:11:23 00:11:26 it's so different for every business
00:11:24 00:11:29 there's no one-size-fits-all for this
00:11:26 00:11:32 right for me it might be subscription
00:11:29 00:11:34 boxes for you it might be a members area
00:11:32 00:11:36 where you have digital product products
00:11:34 00:11:37 or some sort of videos that help your
00:11:36 00:11:40 customers like if you're in fitness or
00:11:37 00:11:41 something like that right so it's
00:11:40 00:11:43 different for every customer that's why
00:11:41 00:11:45 it's hard for me to just teach it to you
00:11:43 00:11:47 guys there's no there's no
00:11:45 00:11:48 one-size-fits-all here that's why I work
00:11:47 00:11:49 with people one on one on this but so if
