00:00:00 00:00:04 what's up everyone Carter Maxwell here
00:00:02 00:00:07 and in this video I'll be going over how
00:00:04 00:00:10 much it actually costs to sell on Amazon
00:00:07 00:00:13 FBA as well as a full breakdown of all
00:00:10 00:00:15 the costs that go into starting your own
00:00:13 00:00:17 Amazon business so a very common
00:00:15 00:00:19 question for new sellers looking to sell
00:00:17 00:00:23 on Amazon FBA is what does it actually
00:00:19 00:00:25 cost to sell an Amazon what exactly are
00:00:23 00:00:28 the fees which seller plan should they
00:00:25 00:00:30 choose what tools should they invest in
00:00:28 00:00:32 to get the best results and an estimate
00:00:30 00:00:34 of what exactly it's gonna cost
00:00:32 00:00:36 inventory wise to start selling on
00:00:34 00:00:37 Amazon so throughout the video I'll kind
00:00:36 00:00:40 of break down a few different things
00:00:37 00:00:42 from what exactly the Amazon fees for
00:00:40 00:00:45 what fees go into selling on Amazon
00:00:42 00:00:46 which tools I personally think are the
00:00:45 00:00:48 best I'm gonna get you the best results
00:00:46 00:00:50 and help you a lot when it comes to
00:00:48 00:00:51 doing product research or just making
00:00:50 00:00:54 your business a lot more convenient
00:00:51 00:00:56 inefficient and as well as a rough
00:00:54 00:00:58 estimate of what exactly you should be
00:00:56 00:01:01 investing in inventory to start your
00:00:58 00:01:03 Amazon FBA business so let's get right
00:01:01 00:01:05 into it the first cost when selling on
00:01:03 00:01:07 Amazon is going to come in the beginning
00:01:05 00:01:09 portion of your account creation when
00:01:07 00:01:10 you select your selling plan now there's
00:01:09 00:01:13 two different selling plans that you can
00:01:10 00:01:14 choose from a professional and an
00:01:13 00:01:17 individual and as you can see in the
00:01:14 00:01:18 professional it's gonna have a few more
00:01:17 00:01:21 extras for instance like a few different
00:01:18 00:01:22 inventory tools and some different
00:01:21 00:01:25 reports you can go in and you can see
00:01:22 00:01:26 how exactly your different products or
00:01:25 00:01:28 your business is performing an
00:01:26 00:01:30 individual seller plant some of those
00:01:28 00:01:32 things are included but when it comes to
00:01:30 00:01:34 pricing and this is really like the
00:01:32 00:01:37 reason people select different plans
00:01:34 00:01:40 obviously for the professionals so plain
00:01:37 00:01:43 it's going to be $39.99 per month each
00:01:40 00:01:44 month to be able to sell on Amazon now
00:01:43 00:01:46 that's a really big just thing for
00:01:44 00:01:49 people that usually don't have enough
00:01:46 00:01:51 funds or really don't want to invest $40
00:01:49 00:01:54 right away now I personally think that
00:01:51 00:01:55 the professional seller plan the $40 per
00:01:54 00:01:57 month is definitely worth it I mean if
00:01:55 00:01:58 first off you're gonna be able to sell
00:01:57 00:02:01 on Amazon which is like one of the
00:01:58 00:02:04 biggest online retailers in the world
00:02:01 00:02:06 and for $40 a month it is totally
00:02:04 00:02:07 totally worth it and especially beyond
00:02:06 00:02:10 the market your products and millions
00:02:07 00:02:11 and millions of bars already on Amazon
00:02:10 00:02:13 you need to have to pay for traffic and
00:02:11 00:02:15 I mean $40 seems a lot
00:02:13 00:02:17 upfront but just think about if you're
00:02:15 00:02:20 selling books or video games or your own
00:02:17 00:02:22 product and you're making 10 15 or even
00:02:20 00:02:24 $5 profit per unit if you're making $10
00:02:22 00:02:26 profit per unit to be able to pay off
00:02:24 00:02:28 your subscription you have to sell four
00:02:26 00:02:29 units to break-even so I mean it's
00:02:28 00:02:31 really not that big of a deal just think
00:02:29 00:02:33 of it as need to sell X amount of
00:02:31 00:02:35 products tool to make that that four
00:02:33 00:02:37 dollars back each month which is pretty
00:02:35 00:02:39 easy but if you are that person who's
00:02:37 00:02:43 really tight with funds maybe don't want
00:02:39 00:02:45 to invest that that $40.00 upfront and a
00:02:43 00:02:47 great thing is as it mentioned up here I
00:02:45 00:02:48 mean you can switch seller plans so
00:02:47 00:02:51 maybe if you want to start out with the
00:02:48 00:02:53 individual seller plan and just pay the
00:02:51 00:02:55 $0.99 every time you so on every time
00:02:53 00:02:57 you sell an item on Amazon you're gonna
00:02:55 00:02:59 actually gonna pay a one dollar fee so
00:02:57 00:03:01 if you get to that point where you're
00:02:59 00:03:03 selling over 40 items per month
00:03:01 00:03:05 obviously it makes more sense to go to
00:03:03 00:03:06 the professional solid plan because
00:03:05 00:03:08 you're not gonna have to pay that $0.99
00:03:06 00:03:11 fee every time you sell an item each
00:03:08 00:03:13 month now once again you can switch
00:03:11 00:03:15 different seller plans so if you go to
00:03:13 00:03:17 the professional forty dollars per month
00:03:15 00:03:18 and you're not making the amount of
00:03:17 00:03:19 sales that you want you're not making
00:03:18 00:03:21 enough money you can always move back
00:03:19 00:03:23 down to the individual or vice versa
00:03:21 00:03:26 start on the individual move back up to
00:03:23 00:03:28 the refreshness so their plan now it's
00:03:26 00:03:30 really all up to you that is the first
00:03:28 00:03:32 cost when selling on Amazon so the
00:03:30 00:03:35 second cost when it comes to selling on
00:03:32 00:03:37 Amazon are gonna be tools now tools are
00:03:35 00:03:39 an optional expense you don't have to
00:03:37 00:03:41 invest in them the reason you invest in
00:03:39 00:03:43 these tools is to build a stronger and
00:03:41 00:03:45 more profitable and more efficient
00:03:43 00:03:49 scalable business now one of the most
00:03:45 00:03:51 popular Amazon tools is jungle scalp now
00:03:49 00:03:53 jungle scale is one of the best research
00:03:51 00:03:55 softwares that you can use to do product
00:03:53 00:03:57 research for now when it comes to using
00:03:55 00:03:59 jungle Scott there's actually two
00:03:57 00:04:01 different tools that you can actually
00:03:59 00:04:03 purchase there's the web app which is
00:04:01 00:04:05 going to be a thing around $40 per month
00:04:03 00:04:08 and that's where we can go you mean go
00:04:05 00:04:09 into your product database and basically
00:04:08 00:04:11 do the beginning part of your research
00:04:09 00:04:13 so you can go in and you can select the
00:04:11 00:04:15 category is that you might be interested
00:04:13 00:04:18 in as you can see you just click them
00:04:15 00:04:19 off anything that you want to any
00:04:18 00:04:22 categories they want to look in so you
00:04:19 00:04:23 can just select them and then it comes
00:04:22 00:04:25 over here where you can enter your
00:04:23 00:04:27 criteria so maybe if you only want
00:04:25 00:04:28 standard products you don't want
00:04:27 00:04:29 products that are super large you're
00:04:28 00:04:31 gonna go check off the standard box
00:04:29 00:04:33 maybe you want to prop the cells for
00:04:31 00:04:35 around 20 of the $30 you can come in
00:04:33 00:04:39 here and you can put in your price point
00:04:35 00:04:42 whatever you'd like 1995 to $30 now
00:04:39 00:04:44 maybe I'd only care about net profit
00:04:42 00:04:46 minimum rank I do care about sales so
00:04:44 00:04:49 when it comes to sales if you're making
00:04:46 00:04:51 5 $10 profit per unit it really depends
00:04:49 00:04:53 on what type of products are you looking
00:04:51 00:04:54 for you're looking for home run products
00:04:53 00:04:55 are you looking for this easy products
00:04:54 00:04:59 that you want to try to make anywhere
00:04:55 00:05:00 from $1,000 profit per month to $3,000
00:04:59 00:05:03 profit per month so if you're making $10
00:05:00 00:05:07 on a $30 product maybe you want to have
00:05:03 00:05:08 300 minimum sales a month and you don't
00:05:07 00:05:10 want to put a max sales because I mean
00:05:08 00:05:12 if it's doing 300 sales a month or a
00:05:10 00:05:14 thousand sales a month it's great either
00:05:12 00:05:16 way but maybe you don't want the product
00:05:14 00:05:18 to be too competitive so say hey stik
00:05:16 00:05:23 under 50 reviews and we don't want it to
00:05:18 00:05:25 be over 2 pounds so then once you've put
00:05:23 00:05:27 in criteria you selected your categories
00:05:25 00:05:30 jungle Scout is gonna pull down every
00:05:27 00:05:33 result that matches your criteria so
00:05:30 00:05:35 over 10,000 different listings match the
00:05:33 00:05:37 criteria that I just put in so then what
00:05:35 00:05:39 you basically do is you'd select how
00:05:37 00:05:41 much however many products you want per
00:05:39 00:05:43 page and you just go through you just
00:05:41 00:05:45 scroll down and see if there's anything
00:05:43 00:05:47 that catches your eye see that there's
00:05:45 00:05:49 possibly something that has low reviews
00:05:47 00:05:51 it's doing really good sales and see if
00:05:49 00:05:53 there's an opportunity for you to go and
00:05:51 00:05:55 source that product overseas brand that
00:05:53 00:05:57 product basically private labeling that
00:05:55 00:05:59 product to then sell a buck sell it back
00:05:57 00:06:02 on Amazon so this is the web app and
00:05:59 00:06:05 also I'll go over the packages in the
00:06:02 00:06:07 pricing later but also there's the jumbo
00:06:05 00:06:09 Scout Chrome extension so if you've
00:06:07 00:06:11 already done your research on here and
00:06:09 00:06:13 you think you've found a product that's
00:06:11 00:06:14 doing a decent amount of sales it's not
00:06:13 00:06:16 too competitive and you want to do
00:06:14 00:06:18 further research on Amazon to see what
00:06:16 00:06:20 the market looks like all you have to do
00:06:18 00:06:21 is just take the most broad search term
00:06:20 00:06:23 for that product so for instance if we
00:06:21 00:06:25 were doing research and we found these
00:06:23 00:06:27 these clout goggles know they were doing
00:06:25 00:06:29 really good sales and the reviews
00:06:27 00:06:31 weren't too high and you want to look
00:06:29 00:06:33 more into it you can then just obviously
00:06:31 00:06:35 search the most broad search term for
00:06:33 00:06:37 that product and then use the Chrome
00:06:35 00:06:39 extension which is another portion other
00:06:37 00:06:41 than the web app so on the Chrome
00:06:39 00:06:42 extension
00:06:41 00:06:45 it's basically to pull down every
00:06:42 00:06:47 listing on the first page for that
00:06:45 00:06:50 search term clout goggles and you're
00:06:47 00:06:52 able to see the brand name the prices
00:06:50 00:06:55 for all the different products the rank
00:06:52 00:06:57 estimated sales per month over a 30 day
00:06:55 00:06:59 period the revenue as well as a refuse
00:06:57 00:07:01 now this is just huge because it gives
00:06:59 00:07:04 you a big view of like what the
00:07:01 00:07:06 marketplace looks like for page one so
00:07:04 00:07:07 you can go through and see oh right off
00:07:06 00:07:09 the bat you see there's these two
00:07:07 00:07:12 sellers that have a pretty high amount
00:07:09 00:07:14 of views 179 165 you can go through see
00:07:12 00:07:16 how the sales are they evenly spread out
00:07:14 00:07:17 is there one seller that's a dominate in
00:07:16 00:07:19 the market while the other sellers have
00:07:17 00:07:20 been a little bit lower reviews so
00:07:19 00:07:23 basically it's just another way for you
00:07:20 00:07:26 to do product research and really look
00:07:23 00:07:29 into what exactly product research is in
00:07:26 00:07:31 this tool and so I personally use Jungle
00:07:29 00:07:32 Scott in my business I teach my students
00:07:31 00:07:35 to use Jungle Scott as well because it's
00:07:32 00:07:36 just a great way to I mean scale your
00:07:35 00:07:38 business and find products quickly I
00:07:36 00:07:41 mean sure there's other ways out there
00:07:38 00:07:42 that you can do free product research
00:07:41 00:07:43 and methods but I mean if you really
00:07:42 00:07:45 think about it it's not going to be
00:07:43 00:07:46 efficient everyone is going to be doing
00:07:45 00:07:48 this the same paper going to be finding
00:07:46 00:07:50 the same products and if you can just
00:07:48 00:07:52 come in here and use your own criteria
00:07:50 00:07:54 just get creative with it you're gonna
00:07:52 00:07:56 be able to find profitable products just
00:07:54 00:07:58 all the time now I forgot to mention
00:07:56 00:08:00 this at the beginning of this segment
00:07:58 00:08:02 but there are different pricing plans
00:08:00 00:08:04 when it comes to the web app and the
00:08:02 00:08:05 Chrome extension so for the web app you
00:08:04 00:08:07 have obviously three different
00:08:05 00:08:10 selections to choose from when it comes
00:08:07 00:08:12 to billing $69 per month $49 per month
00:08:10 00:08:14 $29 per month and the main thing about
00:08:12 00:08:16 this is you can just track a different
00:08:14 00:08:19 amount of products you usually have the
00:08:16 00:08:20 same characteristiks of each one it's
00:08:19 00:08:22 just you can track different products
00:08:20 00:08:24 and what it means to track is you can
00:08:22 00:08:27 take an Aysen of a product already on
00:08:24 00:08:29 Amazon and track it in the jungle scout
00:08:27 00:08:31 web app so once you're in the web app
00:08:29 00:08:33 you can track that competitors products
00:08:31 00:08:34 see how many units they sold on this
00:08:33 00:08:36 they see how many units they're
00:08:34 00:08:38 averaging what their sales rank is what
00:08:36 00:08:40 their inventories at so it's a great way
00:08:38 00:08:43 to really monitor your competitors now I
00:08:40 00:08:45 highly recommend just using the start up
00:08:43 00:08:47 one that's the one I use and I mean if
00:08:45 00:08:48 you obviously again if you're worried
00:08:47 00:08:51 about this twenty nine dollars per month
00:08:48 00:08:53 you can just sign up for $29 for the
00:08:51 00:08:55 first month find three or four good
00:08:53 00:08:57 products ET can
00:08:55 00:08:59 be a private-label or you interested in
00:08:57 00:09:01 and then just unsubscribe from us you
00:08:59 00:09:02 don't have to consistently get that $30
00:09:01 00:09:04 per month billed to your account you can
00:09:02 00:09:06 just go do it for one month find a few
00:09:04 00:09:09 products that you might be interested in
00:09:06 00:09:10 and then just delete the subscription so
00:09:09 00:09:11 that's gonna be for the web app and the
00:09:10 00:09:14 web app is the one we're going to go
00:09:11 00:09:15 through and do the beginning stages of
00:09:14 00:09:18 your research you're going to select
00:09:15 00:09:20 your categories putting your pricing and
00:09:18 00:09:21 all your other criteria that you want to
00:09:20 00:09:24 look for in a product
00:09:21 00:09:26 now the second pricing plans are going
00:09:24 00:09:28 to be for the Chrome extension and these
00:09:26 00:09:30 are not monthly these are one-time and
00:09:28 00:09:32 this is something that you just you
00:09:30 00:09:35 really need to have it I mean I know
00:09:32 00:09:37 $200 is somewhat of a big investment but
00:09:35 00:09:38 I mean just start out with the light you
00:09:37 00:09:40 can still come on here and you can go
00:09:38 00:09:42 through see the different pricing
00:09:40 00:09:44 strategies the sales that revenue and
00:09:42 00:09:46 can be extremely important especially if
00:09:44 00:09:48 you're building a private label business
00:09:46 00:09:49 you're gonna need this extension to go
00:09:48 00:09:51 and check out what the competition is
00:09:49 00:09:53 looking like what sellers are making
00:09:51 00:09:55 sales which ones aren't so you can get a
00:09:53 00:09:57 a better overall view of what the market
00:09:55 00:09:58 is looking like for that specific
00:09:57 00:10:01 products so once again if you would like
00:09:58 00:10:03 to learn more about the pricing plans or
00:10:01 00:10:04 just read more about what exactly jungle
00:10:03 00:10:05 Scott is you can find it in the
00:10:04 00:10:09 description of this video
00:10:05 00:10:11 so the third cost when selling on Amazon
00:10:09 00:10:13 is going to be for your inventory now
00:10:11 00:10:15 unfortunately I can't give you an exact
00:10:13 00:10:17 estimate of what exactly you're gonna
00:10:15 00:10:18 need to invest in your business because
00:10:17 00:10:20 there are tons of different business
00:10:18 00:10:22 models when it comes to selling on
00:10:20 00:10:24 Amazon this retail arbitrage we're going
00:10:22 00:10:26 to be going to big-box stores like
00:10:24 00:10:29 Walmart Target Toys R Us is and
00:10:26 00:10:31 purchasing items in bulk like toys video
00:10:29 00:10:33 games with the intention to then sell it
00:10:31 00:10:35 back on Amazon then there's different
00:10:33 00:10:37 business models like private label we're
00:10:35 00:10:39 gonna go on places like Alibaba and for
00:10:37 00:10:41 instance I'm using the cloud calls as an
00:10:39 00:10:43 example as you can see they were selling
00:10:41 00:10:45 anywhere from like I think was like 10
00:10:43 00:10:48 to 12 dollars on Amazon where you can
00:10:45 00:10:51 see if you order them in bulk of 20
00:10:48 00:10:53 pieces or 50 pieces you can get them
00:10:51 00:10:56 anywhere from 60 cents to like a dollar
00:10:53 00:10:58 right here so within that business model
00:10:56 00:10:59 you're probably gonna have to invest a
00:10:58 00:11:02 little bit more upfront because you're
00:10:59 00:11:04 gonna be buying one individual product
00:11:02 00:11:06 in bulk to then sell them back
00:11:04 00:11:07 individually back on Amazon so when it
00:11:06 00:11:09 comes to giving you a rough
00:11:07 00:11:11 estimate of what exactly it's gonna cost
00:11:09 00:11:13 an inventory I can't really give that to
00:11:11 00:11:16 you it really depends on the business
00:11:13 00:11:18 model if it be private label read
00:11:16 00:11:20 Tarbert Raw's wholesale were once again
00:11:18 00:11:22 you're buying in bulk or reselling which
00:11:20 00:11:24 is probably going to be the cheapest
00:11:22 00:11:25 absolute cheapest way to start selling
00:11:24 00:11:28 on Amazon because you're gonna be buying
00:11:25 00:11:30 individual approaches random individual
00:11:28 00:11:33 products which you can buy off of off
00:11:30 00:11:35 repeating on Aliexpress eBay garage
00:11:33 00:11:39 sales thrift stores for instance if you
00:11:35 00:11:41 just want to buy some books video games
00:11:39 00:11:43 electronics things like that we can just
00:11:41 00:11:45 buy a quantity of one you buy for $20 in
00:11:43 00:11:48 it sells for 80 so things like that are
00:11:45 00:11:49 gonna be a great way for you to start so
00:11:48 00:11:52 when it comes to that third cost to
00:11:49 00:11:54 inventory cost um I can't really give
00:11:52 00:11:56 you an exact number but that is the
00:11:54 00:11:59 third cost when it comes to selling on
00:11:56 00:12:01 Amazon so the fourth cost when it comes
00:11:59 00:12:03 to selling on Amazon is going to be the
00:12:01 00:12:06 shipping in labeling portion so when
00:12:03 00:12:08 you're using the FBA program you have to
00:12:06 00:12:10 physically ship the products from your
00:12:08 00:12:13 warehouse or your supplier has to ship
00:12:10 00:12:15 them to the Amazon warehouse where your
00:12:13 00:12:16 products will be stored now once again
00:12:15 00:12:19 when you're using the FBA program and
00:12:16 00:12:21 once your product is sold on Amazon the
00:12:19 00:12:23 Amazon Fulfillment team will then pick
00:12:21 00:12:24 pack and ship your product 2-day
00:12:23 00:12:26 shipping to the customer but that can't
00:12:24 00:12:29 happen until your product is live and
00:12:26 00:12:31 for sale on Amazon at the Amazon
00:12:29 00:12:33 warehouse so the only way to do that is
00:12:31 00:12:34 you have to ship the product now a lot
00:12:33 00:12:37 of people think that this process is
00:12:34 00:12:38 really really confusing but I mean once
00:12:37 00:12:40 you go over it one or two different
00:12:38 00:12:42 times and create a few different
00:12:40 00:12:44 shipments it gets super super easy and
00:12:42 00:12:46 super simple so basically the process is
00:12:44 00:12:48 you are going to enter each of the
00:12:46 00:12:50 products into your shipment so if you
00:12:48 00:12:52 just have one if you're private labeling
00:12:50 00:12:53 a product you really have two different
00:12:52 00:12:56 options you can either have your
00:12:53 00:12:58 supplier overseas ship that product to
00:12:56 00:13:00 your house you then inspect it and then
00:12:58 00:13:02 ship it back to Amazon you're gonna be
00:13:00 00:13:04 paying shipping two different times so
00:13:02 00:13:06 what I recommend is you just have your
00:13:04 00:13:08 supplier ship it directly to the Amazon
00:13:06 00:13:10 warehouse for you now once again I can't
00:13:08 00:13:11 give you an exact estimate of what it's
00:13:10 00:13:13 going to cost to ship your product to
00:13:11 00:13:16 Amazon because first off I don't know
00:13:13 00:13:17 what your product is I don't know the
00:13:16 00:13:19 size the dimensions of your product I
00:13:17 00:13:20 don't know how much it weighs so when it
00:13:19 00:13:23 comes to selling on
00:13:20 00:13:24 obviously the light of the products
00:13:23 00:13:26 smaller the product that less it you're
00:13:24 00:13:28 gonna have to pay but Amazon is
00:13:26 00:13:30 partnered with a few different carriers
00:13:28 00:13:33 if it be FedEx and UPS so they really do
00:13:30 00:13:35 get some good rates and I mean when I
00:13:33 00:13:38 was shipping books and stuff like that I
00:13:35 00:13:39 was usually getting anywhere from twenty
00:13:38 00:13:42 five cents to thirty three cents per
00:13:39 00:13:44 pound to ship those products from the
00:13:42 00:13:45 state of Texas to basically anywhere in
00:13:44 00:13:47 the United States where every warehouse
00:13:45 00:13:49 I was sending it to so it's it's pretty
00:13:47 00:13:51 pretty cheap but I mean I can't really
00:13:49 00:13:53 give you an exact cost because I mean it
00:13:51 00:13:55 depends on the amount of boxes that are
00:13:53 00:13:57 in your shipment that it mentions of
00:13:55 00:13:59 each box the weight of each box really
00:13:57 00:14:02 comes into play when it comes to the
00:13:59 00:14:04 cost to ship to Amazon though before you
00:14:02 00:14:06 can even ship your products to the
00:14:04 00:14:09 Amazon FBA warehouses each individual
00:14:06 00:14:11 unit has to be labeled so the Amazon can
00:14:09 00:14:13 track those units once they hit the
00:14:11 00:14:14 warehouse now there's two different ways
00:14:13 00:14:17 that you can have a units label you can
00:14:14 00:14:19 have Amazon the Amazon service label
00:14:17 00:14:22 them for you which is going to be 20
00:14:19 00:14:25 cents per unit so if you're making $5
00:14:22 00:14:28 $10 $15 per unit and you can afford to
00:14:25 00:14:30 have Amazon just label it for you then
00:14:28 00:14:32 by all means go ahead and use the FBA
00:14:30 00:14:34 label service and have them charge you
00:14:32 00:14:36 20 cents per unit to label the product
00:14:34 00:14:38 for you although if you're shipping
00:14:36 00:14:40 hundreds to thousands of units and you
00:14:38 00:14:43 really want to save that 20 cents for
00:14:40 00:14:44 each item you can label them yourself
00:14:43 00:14:45 obviously it's gonna take a little bit
00:14:44 00:14:47 more time because you're gonna have to
00:14:45 00:14:50 go buy some 30 up labels I mean you can
00:14:47 00:14:52 get like a thousand labels for ten
00:14:50 00:14:54 dollars on Amazon run them through your
00:14:52 00:14:55 printer have your printer print out all
00:14:54 00:14:57 the labels and then you have to go
00:14:55 00:14:59 through and find each individual product
00:14:57 00:15:00 take that label off and put it on that
00:14:59 00:15:02 product and then put it into the
00:15:00 00:15:04 shipment where you can then print out
00:15:02 00:15:06 the shipping labels and ship it to the
00:15:04 00:15:07 warehouse so once again either you can
00:15:06 00:15:10 do it yourself for free and just invest
00:15:07 00:15:12 in the labels and the printer ink or you
00:15:10 00:15:14 can go ahead and have Amazon label them
00:15:12 00:15:17 for you for twenty cents per unit so
00:15:14 00:15:19 that is the fourth cost the fifth and
00:15:17 00:15:21 final cost I'll be breaking down are
00:15:19 00:15:23 going to be the Amazon FBA fees now you
00:15:21 00:15:25 yourself can do this too for free all
00:15:23 00:15:26 you have to do is just google the Amazon
00:15:25 00:15:28 the revenue calculator it should be the
00:15:26 00:15:30 first one that comes up so once you
00:15:28 00:15:31 reach this point what you're going to do
00:15:30 00:15:33 is you're going to either want to copy
00:15:31 00:15:34 in the title or the a set of that
00:15:33 00:15:36 product usually the ace
00:15:34 00:15:37 it's gonna be the easiest thing so we'll
00:15:36 00:15:39 just say you've already done some
00:15:37 00:15:40 research you think you found a product
00:15:39 00:15:43 that has some potential for you to enter
00:15:40 00:15:45 that market out there just pull down the
00:15:43 00:15:46 Chrome extension and just find a listing
00:15:45 00:15:49 that you want to do some more research
00:15:46 00:15:51 on so maybe this listing stands out to
00:15:49 00:15:53 you I mean with two reviews it's doing
00:15:51 00:15:57 over 900 sales a month so let's just
00:15:53 00:15:58 click into that product then you can
00:15:57 00:16:02 just kind of scroll down to the
00:15:58 00:16:05 description section find the Aysen copy
00:16:02 00:16:06 the Aysen and then paste it into the
00:16:05 00:16:08 calculator to where it could then look
00:16:06 00:16:11 more into this product so once again
00:16:08 00:16:13 we're using Amazon FBA so we're gonna be
00:16:11 00:16:16 under the Amazon Fulfillment column so
00:16:13 00:16:22 the price for this product was what was
00:16:16 00:16:24 it $14.44 the next category the next box
00:16:22 00:16:25 with the film is the ship to Amazon cost
00:16:24 00:16:28 this is going to be the cost per unit
00:16:25 00:16:30 that it cost you the ship to the Amazon
00:16:28 00:16:32 warehouse or costs for your supplier to
00:16:30 00:16:34 ship to the warehouse so a product like
00:16:32 00:16:36 this it's probably a pretty light point
00:16:34 00:16:39 70 pounds I'd say it's probably gonna be
00:16:36 00:16:41 maybe 75 cents to ship to the warehouse
00:16:39 00:16:43 I mean that's just somewhat of a rough
00:16:41 00:16:46 estimate and then the cost of the
00:16:43 00:16:48 product so I need go on Alibaba search
00:16:46 00:16:50 the most broad search term for that
00:16:48 00:16:53 product and see what exactly suppliers
00:16:50 00:17:00 are charging for $2 to $5 for a thousand
00:16:53 00:17:03 pieces $3 to $4 for $53 to $5 I mean I'd
00:17:00 00:17:05 say if you bought a hundred pieces of
00:17:03 00:17:08 this product you could probably get it
00:17:05 00:17:11 anywhere from a three to four dollar
00:17:08 00:17:14 price point then maybe add on a dollar a
00:17:11 00:17:16 dollar 50 for shipping siliceous give an
00:17:14 00:17:18 estimate of a $5 cost that including the
00:17:16 00:17:23 cost for the product and the cost to
00:17:18 00:17:26 ship it overseas to $5 so this exact
00:17:23 00:17:30 listing is making three dollars and 30
00:17:26 00:17:32 cents per unit when selling this product
00:17:30 00:17:35 now according to the jungle Scout Chrome
00:17:32 00:17:39 extension they're selling over 900 in 64
00:17:35 00:17:46 units a month so let's go ahead put that
00:17:39 00:17:48 in so 960 for units calculate
00:17:46 00:17:51 they're making over what is that nuts
00:17:48 00:17:53 revenue is over 13,000 net profit is
00:17:51 00:17:56 going to be over three thousand and one
00:17:53 00:17:58 hundred and eighty one dollars also when
00:17:56 00:17:59 you're in the calculator you can
00:17:58 00:18:01 actually go through and see what exactly
00:17:59 00:18:03 they're charging for fees so for the
00:18:01 00:18:05 referral fee which is basically what the
00:18:03 00:18:07 fee the seller has to pay each unit they
00:18:05 00:18:08 sell for this individual product they're
00:18:07 00:18:11 paying two dollars and seventeen cents
00:18:08 00:18:13 and then the fulfillment by Amazon fees
00:18:11 00:18:15 they're gonna be charged four cents per
00:18:13 00:18:18 month per unit to store this product as
00:18:15 00:18:20 well as three dollars and 19 cents for
00:18:18 00:18:22 Amazon to go pick pack and ship that
00:18:20 00:18:25 product to the customer each time it
00:18:22 00:18:27 sells so that is the fifth cost so
00:18:25 00:18:29 that's it for this video on how much it
00:18:27 00:18:32 actually costs to sell on Amazon with a
00:18:29 00:18:34 full breakdown of what exactly the
00:18:32 00:18:35 different costs are and if you enjoyed
