00:01:24 00:01:31 I've been in the program for a year now
00:01:26 00:01:33 and I was there when Peter initially
00:01:31 00:01:35 like when the course was first launched
00:01:33 00:01:36 I was one of the first kind of people I
00:01:35 00:01:38 don't know I was kind of one of the
00:01:36 00:01:39 first I know you did a lot of testing
00:01:38 00:01:41 before you put out the group and any of
00:01:39 00:01:42 your content but one thing was
00:01:41 00:01:45 officially released I kind of went
00:01:42 00:01:47 through it and everything and um a
00:01:45 00:01:48 little bit of background about me not a
00:01:47 00:01:52 lot of people know this but I was
00:01:48 00:01:56 actually selling on Shopify for two
00:01:52 00:01:58 years before I found before I found you
00:01:56 00:02:00 in the course I'm the thing was that I
00:01:58 00:02:01 was selling on Shopify and yeah I was
00:02:00 00:02:05 making a couple of sales here and
00:02:01 00:02:07 they're not bad but the problem that I
00:02:05 00:02:09 always had and this is something I
00:02:07 00:02:12 when you get hit up with a lot is that I
00:02:09 00:02:13 could never pay myself right after you
00:02:12 00:02:16 pay for the product after you pay for
00:02:13 00:02:18 the traffic you see all of these big
00:02:16 00:02:21 numbers on Shopify but I wasn't able to
00:02:18 00:02:24 like quit my job or put any money away
00:02:21 00:02:27 put like any not even like $1 wins in
00:02:24 00:02:30 some cases I was paying more than what I
00:02:27 00:02:31 was like keeping and then what I did was
00:02:30 00:02:33 I found out about this thing called like
00:02:31 00:02:35 a click funnels and people doing
00:02:33 00:02:37 e-commerce would click funnels and I was
00:02:35 00:02:38 just like all right how do i dropship or
00:02:37 00:02:40 how do I do
00:02:38 00:02:42 ecommerce I know what I put in with
00:02:40 00:02:44 click funnels and then I found your
00:02:42 00:02:49 video and if nobody on the channel seen
00:02:44 00:02:52 this is an OG video where Peter launched
00:02:49 00:02:53 this funnel to kind of just use I know
00:02:52 00:02:55 what you would even like an experiment
00:02:53 00:02:58 or like a live case alive quesadilla
00:02:55 00:03:01 yeah and then Peter launched the Thin
00:02:58 00:03:03 Blue Line stiker challenge dude link it
00:03:01 00:03:07 so that people can see it's a bit old
00:03:03 00:03:09 but like he did it in real time and he
00:03:07 00:03:12 made six hundred dollars or something
00:03:09 00:03:13 some six something in the first day to
00:03:12 00:03:16 be honest with you for me for Shopify
00:03:13 00:03:18 after you test like I was doing the
00:03:16 00:03:21 whole general story oh my god I was
00:03:18 00:03:23 running a general store spending like so
00:03:21 00:03:25 much money on ads and influencers trying
00:03:23 00:03:28 to see what product works and stuff like
00:03:25 00:03:30 that you took one product that you knew
00:03:28 00:03:32 a little bit about put it in a funnel I
00:03:30 00:03:34 made like 600 my mind was blue right and
00:03:32 00:03:35 then I sent you this email I still
00:03:34 00:03:37 remember to date it's the most
00:03:35 00:03:41 embarrassing email never see the light
00:03:37 00:03:43 of day but I emailed you saying dude I
00:03:41 00:03:44 don't know who you are but I just saw
00:03:43 00:03:47 your case study and whatever you know I
00:03:44 00:03:50 want to know so please take me into the
00:03:47 00:03:52 program or whatever it is Peter at that
00:03:50 00:03:54 time your program was an open you you
00:03:52 00:03:56 replied saying it's closed now because
00:03:54 00:03:58 you were only taking off you were only
00:03:56 00:04:00 taking a few people right because it was
00:03:58 00:04:01 initial and you didn't want to build it
00:04:00 00:04:03 up I was like dude I will do anything
00:04:01 00:04:05 please take me into the course I
00:04:03 00:04:12 practikally begged you on email and then
00:04:05 00:04:16 I came in and then the course is like
00:04:12 00:04:18 there is like there is a lot of good
00:04:16 00:04:21 content there like and I have been a
00:04:18 00:04:22 course junkie like I have taken
00:04:21 00:04:23 many people's courses I don't want to
00:04:22 00:04:26 like shock people out on the channel but
00:04:23 00:04:29 think of major Shopify gurus I've taken
00:04:26 00:04:30 their course I think of like top three
00:04:29 00:04:33 for Shopify Bruges I've spent the money
00:04:30 00:04:36 I've taken the courses right and they're
00:04:33 00:04:40 good like they're good but like with
00:04:36 00:04:42 yours what I notiked is that like there
00:04:40 00:04:46 is value out of the gate to the point
00:04:42 00:04:48 where your shoulders feeling after you I
00:04:46 00:04:49 know after they watch a couple of
00:04:48 00:04:53 modules if they said and eat something
00:04:49 00:04:55 cuz you're just like okay okay but what
00:04:53 00:04:58 I about but I couldn't write because I
00:04:55 00:05:00 at that time it was very expensive to
00:04:58 00:05:03 get into the program so I'm averse to
00:05:00 00:05:08 our money and I was like I'm not gonna
00:05:03 00:05:10 watch this right so I went in and I
00:05:08 00:05:12 started like like I would do a module
00:05:10 00:05:14 and I wouldn't put my do a module I
00:05:12 00:05:20 would implement it I know you you and I
00:05:14 00:05:24 were on calls as well and launched
00:05:20 00:05:26 another campaign and everything and I
00:05:24 00:05:29 did 10k a my frickin
00:05:26 00:05:34 I said I still remember so we would have
00:05:29 00:05:35 our we'd have a calls together and he
00:05:34 00:05:37 was like I have something I want to
00:05:35 00:05:38 share with you then let's just get on
00:05:37 00:05:41 this call right now right now is what is
00:05:38 00:05:43 it like what is what's going on and like
00:05:41 00:05:44 you just brought your screen to show me
00:05:43 00:05:46 all that stuff like it was just so
00:05:44 00:05:48 incredible I was so proud of them and
00:05:46 00:05:50 that's the thing is like the thing about
00:05:48 00:05:53 you like dude like you've always just
00:05:50 00:05:55 been so committed to taking action on
00:05:53 00:05:57 stuff so I don't want people to think
00:05:55 00:05:58 like out there like oh it's not like you
00:05:57 00:06:01 know like it's not always that you hit a
00:05:58 00:06:03 home run out of the gate the first time
00:06:01 00:06:04 around like it's it's never like that I
00:06:03 00:06:06 mean some people that works out they
00:06:04 00:06:09 didn't work out like that for me by any
00:06:06 00:06:11 means but that's what it just goes to
00:06:09 00:06:12 show you like go yes like you know we're
00:06:11 00:06:13 gonna get into the good nuts and bolts
00:06:12 00:06:15 this interview but like don't be afraid
00:06:13 00:06:16 to invest in yourself that's like one
00:06:15 00:06:18 thing we've learned here being a funnel
00:06:16 00:06:20 hacking live never be afraid to invest
00:06:18 00:06:22 in yourself like cut the learning curve
00:06:20 00:06:23 guys like we've learned from people's
00:06:22 00:06:25 mistakes cut the learning curve and have
00:06:23 00:06:27 learned from mentors or from other
00:06:25 00:06:28 programs or whatever you're at like if
00:06:27 00:06:30 you're trying to get in better shape go
00:06:28 00:06:32 higher fitness coach you're trying to
00:06:30 00:06:34 learn X a go pay the best person in that
00:06:32 00:06:35 space to learn it from like value your
00:06:34 00:06:37 time
00:06:35 00:06:38 can buy your time back guys look I
00:06:37 00:06:40 always will I always thought that you
00:06:38 00:06:42 can buy your time back right you can
00:06:40 00:06:43 either go waste a year trying to figure
00:06:42 00:06:45 out all the nuts and bolts yourself or
00:06:43 00:06:47 you could pay somebody you know X amount
00:06:45 00:06:49 of dollars learn it all from them and
00:06:47 00:06:51 you just saved yourself a year's worth
00:06:49 00:06:54 of time but I will have to get right
00:06:51 00:06:57 into the the influencer marketing stuff
00:06:54 00:06:59 yeah because Ally primarily was using
00:06:57 00:07:02 influencers in your businesses I mean
00:06:59 00:07:04 I've never like I said like I I thought
00:07:02 00:07:05 I was pretty good at influencers because
00:07:04 00:07:08 in my fishing businesses we always
00:07:05 00:07:12 primarily used influencers we assembled
00:07:08 00:07:14 an army of them but he has some like per
00:07:12 00:07:17 pot for pot pie had some proprietary
00:07:14 00:07:19 things like that I give my program for
00:07:17 00:07:23 tracking and all these things he took
00:07:19 00:07:25 that stuff and just like made it his own
00:07:23 00:07:27 tools and like now we're giving access
00:07:25 00:07:30 to that as we as we relaunch ecommerce
00:07:27 00:07:33 Empire Academy all the tools and stuff
00:07:30 00:07:36 like that are updated but I want to get
00:07:33 00:07:37 into like how did you scale that
00:07:36 00:07:39 business because a lot of people coming
00:07:37 00:07:41 in here they have zero following yeah
00:07:39 00:07:44 they have zero experience in e-commerce
00:07:41 00:07:46 they have zero basically everything and
00:07:44 00:07:48 a lot of people that when they get into
00:07:46 00:07:50 in Flook trying to drive traffic with
00:07:48 00:07:51 influencers like oh you know like I I'm
00:07:50 00:07:52 gonna I'm gonna reach out as influencer
00:07:51 00:07:54 interesting I have zero followers like
00:07:52 00:07:56 why should they why should i why would
00:07:54 00:07:57 they work with me so let's address that
00:07:56 00:07:59 first concern because I think that's
00:07:57 00:08:01 what most people they're gonna try and
00:07:59 00:08:04 tune out but like if somebody has zero
00:08:01 00:08:05 followers on Instagram or or YouTube or
00:08:04 00:08:07 wherever they're getting influencers or
00:08:05 00:08:09 zero following or authority let's just
00:08:07 00:08:10 say Authority credibility how do they
00:08:09 00:08:13 convince somebody that even has like
00:08:10 00:08:15 5,000 followers to to to work with them
00:08:13 00:08:18 yeah so that's a really good question
00:08:15 00:08:22 now in the second business that I
00:08:18 00:08:25 launched in which so just just a quick
00:08:22 00:08:28 side note I had to shut down the first
00:08:25 00:08:30 business because you know I wasn't super
00:08:28 00:08:32 yeah I used that analogy all the time
00:08:30 00:08:34 like be interested in what you do the
00:08:32 00:08:36 money will come but I wasn't interested
00:08:34 00:08:37 in my first business shut it down even
00:08:36 00:08:41 though I was doing really well in the
00:08:37 00:08:43 second one when I took that influencer
00:08:41 00:08:46 marketing very very seriously what
00:08:43 00:08:50 happened was like how do you get opening
00:08:46 00:08:53 how do you get somebody who is in like
00:08:50 00:08:57 interested who how do you get somebody
00:08:53 00:09:00 to take interest right and though like
00:08:57 00:09:02 we learned so much about how do you give
00:09:00 00:09:04 your customers value and how do you give
00:09:02 00:09:05 them more value than what they pay for
00:09:04 00:09:07 it in fact what you say is give them
00:09:05 00:09:09 until it hurts you like how how can you
00:09:07 00:09:11 possibly give them everything that you
00:09:09 00:09:14 want I applied the same concept to
00:09:11 00:09:17 influencer marketing right so whenever I
00:09:14 00:09:18 would pitch an influencer on working for
00:09:17 00:09:20 me and I pride myself and not paying my
00:09:18 00:09:22 influencers all I do is send them
00:09:20 00:09:23 product and they promote for me because
00:09:22 00:09:27 they love the brand that I've created
00:09:23 00:09:29 what I do is I do like this influence or
00:09:27 00:09:30 value stok so before we even get into
00:09:29 00:09:32 contacting like because a lot of people
00:09:30 00:09:33 gonna ask us should they be reaching out
00:09:32 00:09:35 to them with their business page or
00:09:33 00:09:37 their person or what were you doing Oh
00:09:35 00:09:39 business page for something bad business
00:09:37 00:09:41 page for sure so when you're starting on
00:09:39 00:09:45 like you say order the product yourself
00:09:41 00:09:47 take pictures yourself and guys if
00:09:45 00:09:48 you're in this you should be ok with
00:09:47 00:09:50 telling your friends and family hey I've
00:09:48 00:09:52 started something new and when you get
00:09:50 00:09:54 like a hundred two hundred initial
00:09:52 00:09:56 everybody knows 100 people on Instagram
00:09:54 00:09:58 right you can get these organic people
00:09:56 00:10:00 to like your pitch right what you can
00:09:58 00:10:02 also do is start doing giveaways right
00:10:00 00:10:04 just contact an influencer saying hey
00:10:02 00:10:06 we're doing it complete giveaway you
00:10:04 00:10:08 don't have to do anything there's not a
00:10:06 00:10:10 cross promotion of anything because
00:10:08 00:10:11 essentially you're gonna need followers
00:10:10 00:10:14 right and if your front end product is
00:10:11 00:10:16 about ten to twenty bucks let's say you
00:10:14 00:10:18 spend a hundred dollars doing ten
00:10:16 00:10:21 giveaways right you send ten products
00:10:18 00:10:23 are and you do it one influencer pages
00:10:21 00:10:25 and you can build your page up easily
00:10:23 00:10:28 easily to one to two thousand four words
00:10:25 00:10:31 gives you real organic followers and
00:10:28 00:10:33 credibility and when you do this you see
00:10:31 00:10:36 as your friends and family come on board
00:10:33 00:10:37 as you do start doing giveaways with
00:10:36 00:10:40 other influencers when they come on
00:10:37 00:10:41 board sales will come it won't be as
00:10:40 00:10:44 much but people will love the product
00:10:41 00:10:45 and love everything and and say oh yeah
00:10:44 00:10:47 you're creating a lot of you're creating
00:10:45 00:10:49 like giveaways are great to build up
00:10:47 00:10:51 your audience slowly which is good but
00:10:49 00:10:52 you're also creating like goodwill in
00:10:51 00:10:54 the marketplace as well like a lot of
00:10:52 00:10:57 people don't realize that but your
00:10:54 00:10:59 audience is always watching you so you
00:10:57 00:11:00 always want to be like you know in their
00:10:59 00:11:02 feed and
00:11:00 00:11:03 one way in one way or another even if
00:11:02 00:11:05 it's a go here a giveaway once a month
00:11:03 00:11:07 or once a quarter right just doing any
00:11:05 00:11:08 little things like that just to kind of
00:11:07 00:11:10 broaden your reach a little bit even
00:11:08 00:11:12 though that those ad dollars may not
00:11:10 00:11:13 necessarily come back to you it still
00:11:12 00:11:15 creates a tremendous amount of goodwill
00:11:13 00:11:17 in the marketplace but so that's what
00:11:15 00:11:19 that's what I essentially started doing
00:11:17 00:11:21 with the second business because I
00:11:19 00:11:24 wanted to get it up to the first one
00:11:21 00:11:27 that I had gotten it up to and applying
00:11:24 00:11:31 these same tactiks I was able to do
00:11:27 00:11:33 $1,000 in my first week and by the end
00:11:31 00:11:36 of month one I had an influence of
00:11:33 00:11:39 rolodex of 65 influencers who had
00:11:36 00:11:42 already shouted on my product for free
00:11:39 00:11:46 well so is I know the next question
00:11:42 00:11:49 people are gonna ask is how many did you
00:11:46 00:11:52 reach out to actually get 65 influencers
00:11:49 00:11:54 I don't even know that number because
00:11:52 00:11:56 it's it's it's such a high number like
00:11:54 00:11:58 mom you're going to like so that's the
00:11:56 00:11:59 thing is like a lot of people think like
00:11:58 00:12:02 they're gonna bet a lot so try number
00:11:59 00:12:04 like I'm not gonna do like you you have
00:12:02 00:12:05 to like what was the plan like like how
00:12:04 00:12:08 many people were you reaching out to a
00:12:05 00:12:12 day like how what was your game plan
00:12:08 00:12:15 okay so I would reach out to about so I
00:12:12 00:12:17 had my days divided up and what I would
00:12:15 00:12:19 do and a lot of people might think this
00:12:17 00:12:23 is gonna be crazy but I what I would do
00:12:19 00:12:25 was I would collect 40 influencer leads
00:12:23 00:12:27 a day mm-hmm all right I would put them
00:12:25 00:12:28 in down in the excel that you gave and
00:12:27 00:12:30 how did you find them so let's just take
00:12:28 00:12:32 it like dissect it a little bit more how
00:12:30 00:12:34 did you find ones that are even worth
00:12:32 00:12:37 like adding to your list to reach out to
00:12:34 00:12:40 their um so an easy way for anybody to
00:12:37 00:12:43 start is the hashtag research right put
00:12:40 00:12:46 in put in hashtags on Instagram find
00:12:43 00:12:47 your top users and there's so many ways
00:12:46 00:12:50 to do this but you know you can do the
00:12:47 00:12:52 hashtag research find top posts find the
00:12:50 00:12:55 top people that's still one of the best
00:12:52 00:12:58 ways to do it or a really easy other
00:12:55 00:13:01 quick win is to find direct competitors
00:12:58 00:13:03 they're obviously following influencers
00:13:01 00:13:05 within their space go to those
00:13:03 00:13:08 influencer pages and then use the
00:13:05 00:13:09 drop-down section find more like there
00:13:08 00:13:12 are a bunch of ways to do this yeah
00:13:09 00:13:13 perfect so after you found let's say
00:13:12 00:13:14 your
00:13:13 00:13:16 your first 40 that you're gonna reach
00:13:14 00:13:18 out to what was your what was your next
00:13:16 00:13:20 step um so I put them down in the list
00:13:18 00:13:22 in in the Excel tracker that you made
00:13:20 00:13:25 for us right and then what I did was
00:13:22 00:13:29 then I would I would be M each and every
00:13:25 00:13:33 one of them yeah so what I would do is I
00:13:29 00:13:36 have this initial script and my whole
00:13:33 00:13:37 approach to influencer marketing is kind
00:13:36 00:13:40 of like adaptive from what you say to
00:13:37 00:13:42 everything it's like yeah before you
00:13:40 00:13:44 think that you're going to receive you
00:13:42 00:13:46 have to be open to giving right so what
00:13:44 00:13:48 I would do was with these influencers I
00:13:46 00:13:50 would like a lot of their photos I would
00:13:48 00:13:52 comment on their photos based on the
00:13:50 00:13:55 captions of everything like I'm actually
00:13:52 00:13:56 a fan because I am like if these
00:13:55 00:13:59 influencers are people that I want to
00:13:56 00:14:02 work with I'm gonna be a fan first and a
00:13:59 00:14:05 business second so I would I would
00:14:02 00:14:08 comment on these influencers posts right
00:14:05 00:14:10 then I would DM them but it wouldn't be
00:14:08 00:14:12 here how much do you charge for a promo
00:14:10 00:14:17 it because if it's meme pages and if
00:14:12 00:14:19 it's those if it's a purely business
00:14:17 00:14:21 page then you don't need to do all this
00:14:19 00:14:22 but if it's an actual person that you're
00:14:21 00:14:24 working with it's always good to show
00:14:22 00:14:26 them appreciation first that I love your
00:14:24 00:14:29 content your content is so valuable I'm
00:14:26 00:14:33 such a fan right when you start off like
00:14:29 00:14:36 that and the end say hey like something
00:14:33 00:14:38 along the lines of we wanna we were open
00:14:36 00:14:41 to working and collaborating with you
00:14:38 00:14:44 because excuse me you don't want it to
00:14:41 00:14:47 sound transactional yeah when you make I
00:14:44 00:14:49 mean again this is just one strategy
00:14:47 00:14:50 because um what you teach us about time
00:14:49 00:14:52 versus money if you don't have enough
00:14:50 00:14:53 time just paid pay for the shoutouts and
00:14:52 00:14:55 get it and hit that hit on that a little
00:14:53 00:14:58 bit more like because I guys like a lot
00:14:55 00:14:59 of you like people with these
00:14:58 00:15:02 influencers they might come back and say
00:14:59 00:15:03 and this we see this a lot with within
00:15:02 00:15:06 our student groups you get tagged in a
00:15:03 00:15:07 lot of these is like oh like how much
00:15:06 00:15:09 should I pay like this person came back
00:15:07 00:15:11 to me and wants 500 dollars for a
00:15:09 00:15:14 promotional video or promotional posts
00:15:11 00:15:16 right like should I pay it right like
00:15:14 00:15:18 the thing is like you're saying you
00:15:16 00:15:22 basically had 65 influencers promoting
00:15:18 00:15:24 for you and you didn't pay them no okay
00:15:22 00:15:26 so what how would you respond
00:15:24 00:15:29 to the ones that are like hey you know I
00:15:26 00:15:30 want $500 what would you do oh well the
00:15:29 00:15:32 first thing that I would do I would
00:15:30 00:15:33 never like blatantly be like oh my god
00:15:32 00:15:35 why is he
00:15:33 00:15:37 why is he or she asking for $500 I would
00:15:35 00:15:40 see is this first is this person worth
00:15:37 00:15:43 it because like if I could pay 500 but
00:15:40 00:15:46 get $1,000 in front and revenue wrong
00:15:43 00:15:49 I'm okay doing that deal any daily any
00:15:46 00:15:50 day of the week but I kind of know where
00:15:49 00:15:53 I'm starting right you're bootstrapping
00:15:50 00:15:56 in your startings are you you want to
00:15:53 00:15:58 you want to go into a space firstly that
00:15:56 00:16:00 has a lot of the influencers like that's
00:15:58 00:16:02 just something that I personally do it's
00:16:00 00:16:03 not I know that it's not open to every
00:16:02 00:16:06 niche but this kind of just one of my
00:16:03 00:16:08 hacks that why I'm selecting a niche I

00:16:16 00:16:20 niche and like Instagram is so big right
00:16:18 00:16:23 now there are thousands upon thousands
00:16:20 00:16:26 of influencers in any different space in
00:16:23 00:16:28 any given space right or if you don't
00:16:26 00:16:30 find direct influencers you can find
00:16:28 00:16:33 influencers are kind of related to your
00:16:30 00:16:36 niche right and then what you do is you
00:16:33 00:16:40 start off small okay so what I would
00:16:36 00:16:42 usually do is start off from 10k to 50k
00:16:40 00:16:44 for my first round of influencers and by
00:16:42 00:16:46 that time you should have built up to a
00:16:44 00:16:48 thousand two thousand people following
00:16:46 00:16:51 your a page and you can very easily do
00:16:48 00:16:53 that you can actually for to get
00:16:51 00:16:56 followers on your page I really don't
00:16:53 00:16:59 even mind you going to these main pages
00:16:56 00:17:03 and they sending you lots of forward yes
00:16:59 00:17:05 right just doing no I mean not sales I
00:17:03 00:17:07 don't personally think soon I mean I see
00:17:05 00:17:09 some people actually you know one of the
00:17:07 00:17:13 charges that I've always had with those
00:17:09 00:17:15 general meme style pages is like if I do
00:17:13 00:17:16 look a big push with the personal brands
00:17:15 00:17:17 like I'll just sprinkle those in there
00:17:16 00:17:20 and the nice thing about it guys is if
00:17:17 00:17:22 you are like using these like these meme
00:17:20 00:17:23 pages like you can usually get a really
00:17:22 00:17:25 good deal like they come back at a
00:17:23 00:17:27 hundred you could be like I'll do it for
00:17:25 00:17:28 10 and they'll do it because like guys
00:17:27 00:17:30 like think about like a lot of the
00:17:28 00:17:31 people online like it Instagram like
00:17:30 00:17:33 they don't know how to monetize
00:17:31 00:17:34 audiences okay they don't know how to
00:17:33 00:17:35 really make
00:17:34 00:17:37 they make money based on how many
00:17:35 00:17:39 followers they get so you can usually
00:17:37 00:17:40 leverage that right especially if you
00:17:39 00:17:42 plan to have like a long-term thing with
00:17:40 00:17:44 them and really your goal with like
00:17:42 00:17:46 influencers and all that is is to take
00:17:44 00:17:47 that traffic right take that influencers
00:17:46 00:17:49 traffic and turn it into traffic that
00:17:47 00:17:51 that you now have eyeballs right now by
00:17:49 00:17:53 the traffic that you own that's on your
00:17:51 00:17:55 email list that's on your pixel audience
00:17:53 00:17:57 right but good
00:17:55 00:18:00 so I actually wouldn't even mind like
00:17:57 00:18:03 suggesting you go pay these influencer
00:18:00 00:18:05 page if these main pages because a big
00:18:03 00:18:07 part of these main pages is their growth
00:18:05 00:18:08 pages like they refer to their
00:18:07 00:18:10 businesses both businesses because
00:18:08 00:18:12 they'll build I word some followers to
00:18:10 00:18:14 you I don't expect them to be buyers but
00:18:12 00:18:16 I do expect them to be social proofing
00:18:14 00:18:19 for my pleasure so once I'm up to 1 to 2
00:18:16 00:18:21 K followers I also have a bunch of
00:18:19 00:18:23 lifestyle images that I have shot my
00:18:21 00:18:24 stuff off my product given it to my
00:18:23 00:18:26 friends and family following it around
00:18:24 00:18:29 with the camera God and filled up my
00:18:26 00:18:32 pages with nice posts right with
00:18:29 00:18:34 captions and stuff like a lot of people
00:18:32 00:18:37 will just go and like take shortcuts and
00:18:34 00:18:39 stuff but if you're building a real
00:18:37 00:18:42 sustainable business that's gonna be
00:18:39 00:18:44 around for years and years to come you
00:18:42 00:18:48 are going to do all of this work right
00:18:44 00:18:51 so once you're at 1 to 2 K followers you
00:18:48 00:18:54 want to start approaching influencers
00:18:51 00:18:57 from between 10 and 50 thousand all
00:18:54 00:19:00 right and what I usually do is again I
00:18:57 00:19:03 show appreciation on their photos i DM
00:19:00 00:19:06 them personally and I do I would I was
00:19:03 00:19:08 doing about 40 messages a day 40
00:19:06 00:19:10 messages 40 messages just so were you
00:19:08 00:19:12 just doing Instagram or like what hell
00:19:10 00:19:15 were you besties so primarily I was
00:19:12 00:19:18 primarily I was just doing Instagram but
00:19:15 00:19:19 then that was just to start off but then
00:19:18 00:19:21 what I started doing was I started
00:19:19 00:19:22 collecting email addresses and I started
00:19:21 00:19:25 hitting up the email addresses as well
00:19:22 00:19:27 but that's that I kind of handed a bit
00:19:25 00:19:29 of it off to my VA like a lot of this
00:19:27 00:19:30 can then start being automated which is
00:19:29 00:19:31 something that you toked about in the
00:19:30 00:19:33 course as well like how to start
00:19:31 00:19:35 automating everything and then that's
00:19:33 00:19:38 what I okay
00:19:35 00:19:39 so as far as when promotion time comes
00:19:38 00:19:42 yeah
00:19:39 00:19:44 what were you doing to let them to get
00:19:42 00:19:46 them to actually look so you set them to
00:19:44 00:19:49 product you're saying yeah
00:19:46 00:19:51 now how would the this how its sales
00:19:49 00:19:53 come out of that right how was the
00:19:51 00:19:55 actual promotion with the influencer
00:19:53 00:20:00 scheduled and actually executed on all
00:19:55 00:20:02 right so a little hack that I think
00:20:00 00:20:06 there's one time in the inner circle
00:20:02 00:20:09 calls or whatever but what I started
00:20:06 00:20:11 doing was even though my supplier was
00:20:09 00:20:13 Aliexpress I wanted to get my
00:20:11 00:20:16 influencers the product really really
00:20:13 00:20:19 quickly so I found a u.s. manufacturer
00:20:16 00:20:21 with the same exact product because what
00:20:19 00:20:24 I wanted was I wanted my influencers not
00:20:21 00:20:26 to wait for the product campaign because
00:20:24 00:20:28 let's say you toked to them one day and
00:20:26 00:20:29 you're like hey I'm gonna send you this
00:20:28 00:20:32 product that I want you to shout out
00:20:29 00:20:34 right and it comes to them two weeks
00:20:32 00:20:35 later they've already cuz they get hit
00:20:34 00:20:39 up so much they might have already
00:20:35 00:20:40 forgotten about you and my strategy like
00:20:39 00:20:42 a lot of a lot of your students have had
00:20:40 00:20:44 success just sending them photos right
00:20:42 00:20:46 but for me I just really like that
00:20:44 00:20:48 authentik Bible actually sending them
00:20:46 00:20:51 the proud I'm getting unboxing videos
00:20:48 00:20:52 getting real reactions and then actually
00:20:51 00:20:55 getting results cuz I was in the fitness
00:20:52 00:20:58 space right so I had them actually
00:20:55 00:21:00 getting results using my photos using my
00:20:58 00:21:02 products which really you know again all
00:21:00 00:21:04 of that comes back to my brand in a
00:21:02 00:21:08 really good way so what I would do is
00:21:04 00:21:09 find a local supplier you know I there
00:21:08 00:21:11 was amazon line in the box all of these
00:21:09 00:21:15 guys do the same thing I was sending the
00:21:11 00:21:17 product through that alright and they
00:21:15 00:21:20 would get it very quickly right and what
00:21:17 00:21:22 I would do is my follow-up was insane
00:21:20 00:21:25 so day number one I open up the
00:21:22 00:21:27 conversation with them saying hey this
00:21:25 00:21:29 does this and then we used a couple of
00:21:27 00:21:34 scripts that you provided us and then I
00:21:29 00:21:36 closed them on the post right and then
00:21:34 00:21:38 what I would do as far as the post
00:21:36 00:21:40 though where they just what you were
00:21:38 00:21:43 just letting them do their thing yeah so
00:21:40 00:21:45 I was uh I think that that's the best
00:21:43 00:21:47 way to do it because every influencer
00:21:45 00:21:50 has their own style but I would always
00:21:47 00:21:54 request for two things one is a store it
00:21:50 00:21:57 is an unboxing story right because think
00:21:54 00:22:01 about it whenever anybody gets a
00:21:57 00:22:03 or whenever anybody gets a box right now
00:22:01 00:22:05 you will never want somebody else to
00:22:03 00:22:07 open up your box because it's your meal
00:22:05 00:22:09 it's yours why would you want like it's
00:22:07 00:22:11 not just bother a sister like
00:22:09 00:22:13 everybody's excited Amazon comes to
00:22:11 00:22:15 their door like I know what you ordered
00:22:13 00:22:17 but like what could it's my package I'd
00:22:15 00:22:19 like even if I have a secretary like
00:22:17 00:22:21 don't open open everything else you can
00:22:19 00:22:22 go into my mail as well but don't open
00:22:21 00:22:24 my package that's for me
00:22:22 00:22:27 absolutely so when these influencers got
00:22:24 00:22:32 their packing and open it up that like
00:22:27 00:22:35 reaction video I had a barn like 40 50
00:22:32 00:22:36 of those reaction videos right like them
00:22:35 00:22:38 opening it up and Brock oh my god guys
00:22:36 00:22:40 are great to use also for like your
00:22:38 00:22:42 advertisements guys like as you guys who
00:22:40 00:22:44 are on a lower budget like when Ali was
00:22:42 00:22:45 starting out like he didn't have a
00:22:44 00:22:47 budget necessarily to go right for it
00:22:45 00:22:50 towards Facebook advertising right yeah
00:22:47 00:22:51 so now even with Facebook advertising
00:22:50 00:22:53 like now he's gonna have a lot easier
00:22:51 00:22:56 time because he has all of these
00:22:53 00:22:58 testimonials reviews peep product and
00:22:56 00:23:00 use lifestyle imagery correct the tons
00:22:58 00:23:01 of credibility and now these images and
00:23:00 00:23:04 videos that he can just use for his
00:23:01 00:23:06 retargeting or even front and cool
00:23:04 00:23:07 traffic stuff so like these are all
00:23:06 00:23:10 assets that you're creating for your
00:23:07 00:23:11 business that you can utilize after the
00:23:10 00:23:13 fact you know it does take a little bit
00:23:11 00:23:14 of time as well as yourself but again
00:23:13 00:23:16 it's trading time for money like you
00:23:14 00:23:18 know sometimes you know you gotta go
00:23:16 00:23:20 this route but I think the influence ara
00:23:18 00:23:22 is still massively massively
00:23:20 00:23:23 underutilized because just people don't
00:23:22 00:23:25 do it correctly and a lot of people are
00:23:23 00:23:28 like oh you know I set up how much for a
00:23:25 00:23:29 promotion give them 25 bucks and that's
00:23:28 00:23:32 it yeah right there's no there's no
00:23:29 00:23:35 follow-up so let's tok about kind of
00:23:32 00:23:39 like the last piece here is like
00:23:35 00:23:40 long-term relationship with the
00:23:39 00:23:42 influencer or like okay so let's say a
00:23:40 00:23:44 promotion goes well you're making sales
00:23:42 00:23:46 right like how do you how do you scale
00:23:44 00:23:48 it and like you keep the relationship
00:23:46 00:23:51 going with that influencer alright so
00:23:48 00:23:54 basically what I do is once I know that
00:23:51 00:23:56 it influencer is good and works well and
00:23:54 00:23:59 you know you always tell us to measure
00:23:56 00:24:01 all of the results that come in and and
00:23:59 00:24:04 when I know like alright this influencer
00:24:01 00:24:07 is a hit then what I do is then I lock
00:24:04 00:24:09 them down for posts right then I go into
00:24:07 00:24:13 paying the influencers because
00:24:09 00:24:14 you have to I mean it is relationship
00:24:13 00:24:16 based but I mean nobody will do anything
00:24:14 00:24:19 in the world for you for free completely
00:24:16 00:24:19 you have to you have to essentially give
00:24:19 00:24:21 them something
00:24:19 00:24:22 and of course it's it's their page I'm
00:24:21 00:24:25 leveraging their audience and they
00:24:22 00:24:28 deserve something right but before that
00:24:25 00:24:30 I need to know if this person is good
00:24:28 00:24:32 enough or not and once I know that this
00:24:30 00:24:34 influencers a hit and I'd lock them down
00:24:32 00:24:36 into a contract I paid them about you
00:24:34 00:24:38 know how much ever it's how much ever
00:24:36 00:24:41 it's worth for me for example I would
00:24:38 00:24:43 some influencers have done $50.00 for
00:24:41 00:24:45 four posts spread across the month so
00:24:43 00:24:46 once a week they're posting about me I
00:24:45 00:24:48 know what they they're posting so I go
00:24:46 00:24:52 and measure the sales right after the
00:24:48 00:24:54 day and and yeah and that's the
00:24:52 00:24:56 relationship every month I send them a
00:24:54 00:24:58 new product and guess what every month
00:24:56 00:25:00 they're going to a new funnel that I'm
00:24:58 00:25:03 testing right and they love getting
00:25:00 00:25:06 packages from love and honestly once you
00:25:03 00:25:08 do that enough once they're in like once
00:25:06 00:25:11 they're in like that kind of contract
00:25:08 00:25:13 with you where you've paid them and pay
00:25:11 00:25:15 them first like this influencer is a
00:25:13 00:25:17 hidden reinvest what you got in sales
00:25:15 00:25:19 put it in that influence or lock them
00:25:17 00:25:21 down into a contract and be not contract
00:25:19 00:25:24 but like a verbal contract out here I'll
00:25:21 00:25:26 pay you 100 for four posts for the month
00:25:24 00:25:29 right what they'll start doing is
00:25:26 00:25:32 they'll start like tagging your products
00:25:29 00:25:34 even when it's not promote I mean just
00:25:32 00:25:36 generally just in their stories it's
00:25:34 00:25:39 about maybe like a good like it's about
00:25:36 00:25:41 the lost art of actually having being
00:25:39 00:25:43 having relationships with people guys
00:25:41 00:25:44 like exactly it's it's so critikal it
00:25:43 00:25:47 doesn't matter what you sell can be
00:25:44 00:25:50 ecommerce info affiliate marketing like
00:25:47 00:25:51 really busy any business success like
00:25:50 00:25:53 think about every business you need to
00:25:51 00:25:56 have some sort of relationships with
00:25:53 00:25:58 people in that specific niche that can
00:25:56 00:26:01 help really drive you forward like
00:25:58 00:26:03 imagine like having like top influencers
00:26:01 00:26:05 promote your product from day one right
00:26:03 00:26:07 it does take a lot of time to maybe get
00:26:05 00:26:10 that person to to promote for you but
00:26:07 00:26:12 think of it as just another source of
00:26:10 00:26:15 traffic which it is it is just another
00:26:12 00:26:17 source of traffic but I a lot it's a lot
00:26:15 00:26:18 more of a warmed up traffic that's why
00:26:17 00:26:21 it's easier usually typically easier to
00:26:18 00:26:22 get conversions but the one key thing to
00:26:21 00:26:22 understand is like with these personal
00:26:22 00:26:24 brands they're very
00:26:22 00:26:27 powerful but you always want to make
00:26:24 00:26:30 sure that you never betray the trust of
00:26:27 00:26:31 the influencer with their audience right
00:26:30 00:26:34 because that's always there their third
00:26:31 00:26:36 their biggest asset but as we start kind
00:26:34 00:26:37 of wrapping up here do you have anything
00:26:36 00:26:38 else that you want to share I think we
00:26:37 00:26:40 kind of went through the whole process
00:26:38 00:26:42 from like hey somebody going from zero
00:26:40 00:26:44 know business page you know contacting
00:26:42 00:26:45 these influencers and then getting to
00:26:44 00:26:47 the point where you have how do you
00:26:45 00:26:50 start scaling these influencers and then
00:26:47 00:26:51 you move to slowly moving into Facebook
00:26:50 00:26:52 as you build credibility and more assets
00:26:51 00:26:55 for your business but is there anything
00:26:52 00:26:57 else you'd want to want to add here just
00:26:55 00:26:59 the most important thing that I had to
00:26:57 00:27:01 learn the hard way is be passionate
00:26:59 00:27:04 about your niche in the first business
00:27:01 00:27:05 even though it was making like a ton of
00:27:04 00:27:09 money and I could have scaled it up to
00:27:05 00:27:10 six figures very easily like I told you
00:27:09 00:27:12 like we had that very tough conversation
00:27:10 00:27:15 I told you I'm not passionate about this
00:27:12 00:27:18 niche and then I had that realization
00:27:15 00:27:20 that I need to be passionate about the
00:27:18 00:27:22 niche that I'm going after and that is
00:27:20 00:27:24 the only way that I will put in the
00:27:22 00:27:26 effort to find 40 influencers within the
00:27:24 00:27:29 niche and then do the work that is
00:27:26 00:27:32 necessary so for anybody starting out
00:27:29 00:27:35 the only advice that I would do and that
00:27:32 00:27:37 I would give you is like wake up every
00:27:35 00:27:40 day wanting to be in the niche that you
00:27:37 00:27:42 that you're currently in and what's
00:27:40 00:27:44 gonna happen is everything else is gonna
00:27:42 00:27:46 become easier every time you hit the
00:27:44 00:27:49 wall your passion is what's gonna drive
00:27:46 00:27:53 you forward because it's not like gonna
00:27:49 00:27:56 be extremely easy I mean it's much
00:27:53 00:27:58 easier than it was but but it still
00:27:56 00:28:00 requires you to put in the work and you
00:27:58 00:28:02 will be able to if your passion about it
00:28:00 00:28:03 yeah and you want to have fun with this
00:28:02 00:28:05 process guys like that's the thing you
00:28:03 00:28:07 want to have fun with like your business
00:28:05 00:28:08 a lot of people like you know yeah money
00:28:07 00:28:10 is great like getting money and making
00:28:08 00:28:12 money in your business but like when
00:28:10 00:28:14 you're in like you know desperation like
00:28:12 00:28:15 it's so like I can tell you like just
00:28:14 00:28:18 here being a funnel hiking live like a
00:28:15 00:28:19 lot of this the topics here that I share
00:28:18 00:28:21 on this channel that you know they're
00:28:19 00:28:22 sharing that follow hockey live like now
00:28:21 00:28:24 that this these are like super advanced
00:28:22 00:28:26 marketing strategies but the key thing
00:28:24 00:28:28 to make any of them work is like you
00:28:26 00:28:30 have to be super passionate about your
00:28:28 00:28:32 niche right you have to love it because
00:28:30 00:28:34 like guys there's no such dude there's
00:28:32 00:28:35 no business out there I don't think
00:28:34 00:28:38 there's no CEO out there that doesn't
00:28:35 00:28:40 love their business right like you you
00:28:38 00:28:42 you have to love your business because
00:28:40 00:28:43 guys like nobody's gonna love it for you
00:28:42 00:28:45 that's like the one thing you can't
00:28:43 00:28:46 outsource the love for your business
00:28:45 00:28:48 like yeah you could sell your business
