Shopify Tutorial Video for beginners | How to Add Products to Collections in Shopify 2021

all right, welcome back again to resolutions design, yet again with another video here in tutorials for shopify. if you're brand new to this channel, we do everything shopify here, so i hope that this moment that you guys are learning uh will be beneficial for you. all i ask is for a subscribe blue like button, comments. let me know your questions down below and uh, i check them every day and i'll go ahead and answer to you to my best of the abilities. in this partikular video, what we're going to learn about is how to add collections to your shopify store- collections or categories, right, depending on how you want to interpret it. okay, so let's get right to it right away. let's first start off with the admin screen here. so, if you're not logged in into the backend of shopify, this is how it would look like. it's the url that ends in my shopifycom. let's start there. in the previous video, what i showed you guys, there was actually two videos that i showed. i showed how to upload products if you're into drop shipping, or how to upload products if you're in the private label business, right, if you're doing just things on your own. um, so whichever one of those videos that you completed, you're in the right video now. so we're kind of like all migrated here. uh, so in this right here, we could see that we've added some products. some are drop shipping, some are just regular products, right, and what we want to do is we want to categorize these. okay, so there are two ways on how to create collections- very important guys, two ways of how to create them. one of them is called an auto collection or an automatik collection, and this method is based on using tags. the other one is a manual collection, where we manually go ahead and add products into the collection, depending on how you want to run your business or how your business flows. you could either choose one or the other, or both, and i'm gonna show you how to do it all. okay, let's first begin. first, make sure that you've added products, make sure that you've added all of them, especially with your variants, so on and so forth. so again, if you haven't watched those videos, i'll leave them up in the description up top or below, in the comments, etc. but let's pretend you've already added those products. let's go right here where it says collections over here on the left. we're going to click on this versus collections by default. shopify is always going to have this collection called home page, which you might ask yourself. well, what is this? well, don't worry about it. is is just something that comes by default, right and tiknically, we don't need it, so it's not associated to anything. so what i'm going to do right away is click on this one that says homepage, and this is also to teach you how to delete a collection. we're going to click on this one, this collection called homepage, we're going to click on more actions and we're going to say: delete this collection. it cannot be undone. that's okay, because, again, this is just shopify's uh, original like. it's just showing you one collection that has nothing on it. but let's go ahead and start a collection. we're to go right here where it says create collection, and the first one that i'm going to create is a collection that you guys probably already know how to build, but i'm just kind of training you guys just in case- and this one is going to be called manual collection. so what is a good manual collection? a good manual collection, how do businesses use it? well, some businesses use a collection that's called new arrivals. okay, new arrivals meaning that, depending on what date it is like, depending on where you're at right. um, these are the new arrivals, okay, and i'm going to leave the description empty. we're going to change the collection type to manual, right, and we're going to go ahead and press save. so once we press save, we already have our new collection and, if you want to, we could click on this button that's called view and we could see that. you know, we're just using the regular debut theme, nothing complicated, but the collection is created, right, so it is here. there's just no products. so so far, so good. but keep one thing in mind: that just because we're able to show it up here does not mean that it shows up on the website, because if i click this one and i click on catalog, there's nothing. that's going on like i don't see the new arrivals. it's not there yet, which is perfectly fine. that we're gonna handle also in another training. but let's go back here to new arrivals. now let's add some products. we're going to go down here to where it says products. we have a search bar and we're going to click on this search bar here. let's click on browse, we're going to click on browse and on browse we get to see all of the products that we have so far, out of all of these products, the new arrivals are not all of them. we want to say that there's only four of them that are new arrivals, and by that i'm gonna hand pick them out. i'm gonna say this one's a new arrival, i'm going to say this one's a new arrival and i'll say this one is an arrival, um, and i'll just put, yeah, there'll be three for now, so let's go ahead and add that in there. these are three new arrivals. so there it is. by default, the sorting is going to be by best selling, um. so that's just something by shopify by default that it places up there. but we don't need to put it like that. we could go ahead and edit this by clicking on best selling and say: i want to organize this manually and right away. you'll notike on the left that there's these freckles here on the side, these freckles here. you'll notike that it allows you to move these uh products. so let's pretend that we want the geneva stainless steel to be first: click, hold, drag, drop, and that'll be first, and then this is second and this is third. so something like that would be very useful, right? so you say, hey, i don't like how it shows up. i want this one to come up first, this one to come out second, and then, of course, you could delete them as you see fit, right? so let's see how this looks like so far. and there it is based on this theme. we only have three pr four products for row, so that's why you see this here. so if you're wondering, wait, what, what's up with this white space? or, i only added two, what's up with all this white space? uh, it's because of your theme. it has nothing to do with the collection back end itself, right? so we have first, second, third. that's how you do the sorting. and again, this is a manual collection. it's just a manual collection, okay? so the process of this again is that you have to create, add the products and then you have to create the collection, then manually add the collection into the store for new arrivals and for collections such as bestsellers. i think this works out pretty well. so, new arrivals, best sellers, editors, choice, you know anything of that nature. i think that manual collections work good for that. but what about regular collections? what about collections such as, you know, um at all, or all right, everything? so let's, i like to create collections called automated collections. i'm going to show you two ways on how to how i set this up. so let's go ahead and create a new collection, and this one is going to be called shop all. i'm going to create one that's called shop all and it's going to show everything right? so in the collection type, we're going to leave it as automated, but we're going to set conditions, and these conditions is the fun part, because we don't have to constantly upload and manipulate stuff, right? so in this one for all, what i'm going to do is i'm going to click on this first drop down where it says product tag and i am going to say: let's see here, product price. i'm going to put product price. product price is greater than zero dollars. now, this will only work, of course, if all of your products have values more than one dollar or more than zero dollars. um, so i'm going to say all conditions, i'll go ahead and press save and you're going to notike that it might take a little bit in order to populate, especially if you have a ver.

Shopify Collections Tutorial | Create Collections In Shopify Step By Step 2022

what's up, guys? is it Jake? and in this video I'm going to be showing you how you can set up different collections inside of Shopify. so we're going to go ahead and jump right into it. so we're inside of a demo store right here and I've just got some random assortment of products right here, and I'm gonna go ahead and show you how you can go ahead and create collections, to go ahead and organize different products together, so if you don't know what collections are, you can access it right here by going to products and then collections, and a collection is just essentially a group of related products that helps make the browsing process a lot easier for your customers. so I'm going to go ahead and create three different collections in this video and I'm going to use three different methods of creating these collections. that way, you guys will learn how you can create a collection in each different manner. so, first off, we're gonna go ahead and get started. so I'm gonna be creating a collection for gaming- so these two products right here- and I'm gonna be creating a collection for phone accessories- so this one right here and this one right here- and then I'm going to be creating a collection for gym stuff- so these two right here, and then, lastly, I'm gonna be showing you how you can showcase these collections on the home page inside your theme editor. so the first thing that you're gonna want to do is just make sure you know which products want you want to go ahead and group together into a collection, and once you've done that, we can go ahead and go over here to products and collections and get started. so once we're in here, most of the time you're gonna have a default home page collection, but we're gonna go ahead and create a new one. so we're gonna go up here to create collections and once this loads in, we can see that we have a few options available right here. so the first one I'm gonna go ahead and create is the gaming collection. so I'm gonna just go ahead and put gaming right there and then here we can go ahead and put a description if you want. however, you don't really have to put a description. we can just put a title and we can put a collection image here as well. so if you have an image, if, let's say, you're trying to make a page for that collection alone and you want an image on top of that page, it's like a banner or something. this is where you could put it, but for this tutorial I'm not going to do that. I'm going to just show you how to set up the basic collections. so down here we can see that we have to select collection type. so there's a couple different options we can do to set up the collection type. so the first option we're going to do is going to be automated and it's going to be based off of one of these conditions down here. so we can see that we can have two types. we can either do it manually, where we can add products to the collection one at a time, or we can make it automated, where existing and future products that we add to the kids to the store, if they match these specific conditions, then they're automatikally going to be added to the collection. so the first example I'm going to show you we're gonna do automated. so, like I said, we're going to be doing the gaming products first. so for this first condition, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and open up the different conditions and I'm going to select a product title and then you can see we can make the product title equal or we can make it start with or ends with or contains. so there's a lot of different options we can do so. in this case I'm going to do the product title contains and then the word gaming. and if I go ahead and do that and then come down here and click Save, we'll see that this collection will go ahead and auto populate here. so we can see right here the products in this collection are updated. so I'm gonna go ahead and wait a second and refresh this just to show you how it's going to automatikally populate. so we went ahead and refresh it and you can see that now the two products that we have in our store- the game and headset in the gaming laptop of one ahead and automatikally populated inside of here as well. and let's say we were to add a new product that had the word gaming in the title, it would also be automatikally added to this collection as well. so this is one way you can create a collection and it's pretty useful. so the next thing I'm going to do is show you another automatik way that you can add products to a collection. so what we're going to do now is I'm going to click create another collection and we're going to go ahead and do the iPhone accessories this time, and in this case I'm going to do a product tag is equal to, and for this to go ahead and work, we're going to have to create product tags on these specific products that we want. so what I'm going to do here is I'm going to go to all products, I'm going to right click and open this in a new tab real quick, and what I'm gonna do is I'm going to go to these products, will open up the iPhone case first and I'm going to check its tags so we can see we can add product tags right here. so if I were to just put in iPhone and then just click Add, we can see that now this has a tag for iPhone, and then I'll just go ahead and click Save and I'm going to go ahead and go back to products, and now I'm going to go down to the shatterproof screen cover and I'm going to give it the same tag and that I'm gonna go ahead and click Save. all right, so now that we've went ahead and created those product tags, I'm gonna come down here and I'm gonna go into, just go ahead and type in the product tag that we just created, which was iPhone, and then we just go ahead and click Save, so we have product tag is equal to and then the tag of the products we want. we're going to click Save and now this collection is going to be created. so I went ahead and refresh the list. it normally takes about 30 seconds and you can see that now this collection is also auto populated with the two iPhone accessories we have here and, just like in the first example, if we go ahead and add another new product with the tag of iPhone, it's going to go ahead and auto populate into this collection right here. so I'm going to go ahead and create one more collection and we're going to add the products manually this time something. go ahead and create another collection and just in gym, and then in this case we can just go ahead and click manual and then we'll click Save right here and we're going to be able to add the products in in a second. so what we can do now is, right here, on their products. we can go ahead and search for products in our store so we can go ahead and add the drawstring bag, go ahead and add that, or we can just click browse and browse all of our products right here, and I would go ahead and add this other product to it as well. and there we go. we can go ahead and do that and once you add the products, it automatikally updates. you don't want to click Save and you can see that now we have went ahead and populated this collection manually. now the only downside of doing it manually is that if you add new products, new related products, they're not going to be automatikally added into this collections, that you're gonna have to go ahead and manually add them in, which is why normally, using the automated methods based off of keywords or tags is going to be a way to go. so now that you know how to create collections, I'm going to quickly show you how you can add them to your home page. so if we go over here to online store and click on themes, we can come over here to customize the theme and you can see that most Shopify home pages are going to have a feature collection right here. so we can see the featured collection section right here. if we click on it, we can go ahead and click Change collection. so if I click Change- and let's say I wanted to change it to the gaming- and then I click select, we can now see that my feature collection is now the gaming collection. now, let's say, I wanted to add a compl.

How To Add Product Categories In Shopify | For Dropshipping (2022)

how to add product categories in shopify. hey guys, welcome back to the youtube channel. in this video, i'm going to be showing you how you can add your product categories on shopify, so let's get into it now. the first thing that you might be wondering is: i have logged onto my shopify store. i'm editing the online store. how do i add categories? well, you don't add product categories from the online store editor. you're gonna do that before you actually go into editing your store. so just log on to your shopify store. this is going to be your homepage, and now what you're going to do is you're going to click on online store over here. once you click on that, you're going to click on navigation, and once you click on navigation, you're going to click on add menu. so, or you can just click on main menu over here and from your main menu, what you're going to do this is your product catalog. so to add categories and subcategories, you're going to click on add menu item. you're going to write, let's say, bose, and then what you're going to do is you're going to click on add and then you're going to add a page over here. so we're going to later on add those pages. but what you're going to do is you're going to drag this over here, drag it above, and if you move it to the right over here, this is going to be created as a sub page. so you can see, over here in our catalog we have the sub page of bose. now, after that you can keep on adding more sub pages. and another thing that you can do is click on add menu item. you can write small bows and click on add. over here we're just going to add the home page and then what you can do is you can move this to the right as well. and now bose has one category as well which is called small bows. so this has its own categories and these categories have their own subcategories. and let's say you add large bows and you're going to click on add and then you have these two subcategories now. after that you can just click on add menu item. let's say we have t-shirts, we're going to add that other subcategory and you're just going to click on save and you're going to add that. so these are two basic subcategories in the catalog section- the bose and the t-shirt- and then the bose has two other subcategories. now how to actually go on about to that page. now, after you have added those categories, you're going to click on view online store and you're going to begin editing your online store so you can see over here, this is your online store. you're going to click on edit home page and what you're going to do basically is, once you go on to your home page, you're going to go and you're going to go into your pages. so you're going to click on catalog over here and what you're going to do is you're going to create the pages that you just named over here on your menu item. so we're going to go back into our little editor and what you're going to do is, in the collection section, you're going to add your pages so you can click on over here, click on the collection section and you can see these uh categories are going to be loaded up over here and you're just going to add the pages. so we're going to go back and then we're gonna go into collections, create a template and you're just going to click on add collection and the collection is going to be close. create template. and now in the collections, i have added the bose collection so you can see over here, this collection has been added. now, once you add collections over here, what you can do is go back into your shopify dashboard, go into your product section and then you can see over here, this is an item and what you're going to do is you're going to add the collection for this item. so my product is currently looking like, and what i'm going to do is, if i take a look over here, that i have assigned to collections 0 collections. so in the bow section, what you're going to do is, from your bose, you have your little item over here and what you're going to do is you're just going to go back into your product and then you're going to have a type and product organization and you can see all of these custom fields that we have over here, and you're going to click on browse all or, if you can't find the collection that you created, just add custom type. you can add both and you're just going to make sure that this is added, all of the variants and options. you're going to click on save and now, once you have added all of that, what you're going to do is create the pages. so for that you're going to go back into your dashboard, you're going to click on the online store and then you're going to click on pages over here and once you do that, you're going to click on add page and now i'm going to add the page called bose and then you can click on save over here. and then what you're going to do is, once i've added the bose page, i'm going to go back into my navigation, i'm going to click on main menu and i'm going to click on the catalog. i'm going to add the main menu- those. i forgot to save it previously, but now i'm going to link it to the bose page. so let's say, this is just the bose page, so i'm going to click on add over here and now i'm going to move this up and make it a sub page of catalog, just like that, and now i'm just going to save it over here. and once you have done all of these steps, you're just going to view your online store. this is like a very blank online store. this is just a sample for you to better understand how to do it on your own. but if i click on catalog, i have the subcategory of bose and if i click on bose over here, i have the bose page. this page is called bose and obviously i haven't added any products, but once i add products then i can view them over here. so if i go into my products and if you take a look at your product, what you can do is you can click on over here in your collection section. you can see over here. i've added it to the home page, but what you can do is add more pages as well. so if i go onto the bose collection, you can add that over here as well and you can, you know, add as many variants you want, as many uh options you want of your product. now, just like that, you have your product categories and subcategories in shopify. you can add as many as you want, but i would recommend that you don't go overboard with creating your product categories and subcategories, because if you do, you know it might make your navigation panel a bit too confusing and a bit irritating. but you can add, like all the basic categories that you want, and you can add different active and draft statuses on your product as well. so that is how simple and easy it is for you to create your product categories. so, although shopify is a great ecommerce storefront creator and you can create a beautiful ecommerce storefront and create different product categories and customize your shopify store as much as you like. it is not available for free. so shopify starts at 29 per month, where you can add two staff members in four locations and you have to pay two percent of transactional fees for all payment providers and you have a currency conversion fee of two percent as well and you have all of the basic things that are available on any other e-commerce platform. now the shopify plan, which starts at 49 per month, has up to five staff members, five locations for analysis and professional reports. so that is one of their more pay and like one of the more premium versions, and they only have a transactional fee of one percent. so that is with every shopify version, the higher paid version that you opt for on shopify, the lower transactional fees you have to pay, although you have to pay the same currency conversion free on all three versions. now, on your advanced shopify plan, you have up to 15 staff members, eight locations, fraud analysis reporting, advanced report builders, international pricing and duties and import taxes as well. so that is another plan that you can opt for if you're looking for a higher-end version of shopify. i think for most people, using the basic version and adding your own code and cus.

How to Create & Set Up Collections on Your Shopify Store

are you planning to start up online store with Shopify that stoks multiple types and styles of products? then you want to create and set up your store with collections. in this video, I'll not only show you how to manually create these collections, but I also demonstrate how you can automate these products into certain collections, creating a more streamline systems that will save you time and energy. hi, i'm lisa. here. i share tips, tricks and information to help you build your online store, giving you the confidence of taking your dream of owning your own online business and making it a reality. so, as a brief overview, essentially, collections are groups of products that make it easier for your customers to find the products they are searching for within your online store. collections are also great for introducing related products to customers or highlighting products within a certain category, for example, your bestsellers or your sell items. in this video, i will not only show you how to set up your collections, but i'll also go through the systems i use to ensure that any future products that you add to your store automatikally get categorized for you. sounds good, then let's get into it. so first, i'll show you how to create a collection manually. once logged into Shopify, you'll want to head over to the menu on the left here and click products and then collections, click create collection. okay, so where it says collection type, here for this part of the demonstration we want to select manual, just as a reference. a collection type is how the products will be added to your collections. I'll go through automatik shortly. so let's scroll to the top. for this tour I'm going to create three different collections. this is a yoga apparel and accessory store, so I want to create a tops collection, a bottoms collection and an accessories collection. so let's add our first collection by adding a title. let's call this one tops for the description. you also want to add a collection image so that when the collection shows up on your home page, an image will appear with the collection title. so once this has been uploaded, you'll want to review all the details and then click Save. once you have saved, you will then be able to start adding products to your collection. so just scroll down to products here, where it's got search products, you just want to click browse. then just add the products that align with your collection. for example, I'll select the yoga crop, the yoga long-sleeve and the yoga tea, as these are all the yogurt tops, then click Add and there we have it. we've got our yoga crop, yoga long sleeve and yoga tea. that's been added to our collection. once you're happy with all the products we've added, let's just scroll to the top and click this eye button here to view the collection. so there we have our collection image here, our title and then all the products within that collection. now you just want to go ahead and create all the collections you need for your store. so we'll add a bottoms collection and also an accessories collection. I'll go ahead and do that for you now and I'll see you once that's all done. now that we have created our collections, we'll want to add these to our store so that they can be easily accessed by our customers. so under sales channels, an online store and under themes, we'll click the customize button here. so what we want to do now is we want to add a new section which will Auto populate our newly created collections. so to the left here we want to go to add section and under the collections tab we want to click collections list and then add. so you'll notike under the content section. we've got three different tabs here for our three different collections. let's click on this top area here under collection, select collection, and now we can add our newly created collections by clicking any one of these three here. so we'll start with tops and you'll see that it's already come up here. so we've got the title, the image and then our heading here, collection- just click select and now we just want to do this for the other two. so there we have it. our three collections are auto-populated and included on our online store. click the Save button and let's go back, let's check out our online store by just clicking this little eye icon and if we scroll to the bottom, we should find those collections that we've just created. there we have it. so our collection list. we've got our tops, our bottoms and our accessories and if we click into tops here, we'll be redirected to that collection. ok, so let's close that off. now I'll show you how you can set up an automatik system for any future products you might add to your store. this way, your products will be automatikally added to your designated collection. so to do this, you want to click back to products collections. again, we want to go to create collection and this time, instead of selecting manual under collection type, we want to click automated. now. there is a couple of ways you can set this up, but for now what I'll do is create a collection based on the best sellers in our store. you can have products automatikally updated based on different word matchups. for example, if a product has a tag sale attached to it, then the product will automatikally be added to the sales collection. there are many different combinations you can use here, but for this example we'll use the product tags. so here we've got product tag and, like I mentioned, you can choose different themes here, but we'll click product tag is equal to and then, if we click in here, we've got the tagged bestsellers. we've also got a summer in winter, but for this one we'll do bestseller. you can also add another condition here if you like, but for now we'll just leave it as is. so let's just scroll to the top and for the title we want to call it bestseller and then we want to give it a description. then click Save. okay, so that's our bestsellers collection created. now. the way that you can automate this is by setting up your products with tags. so let's show you how this works. let's go to products and let's check out one of our products here. so we'll click on the yoga hat product and to the right here, if you scroll down, you'll see that there's a section to add your tags. so, because I want to add this to our bestsellers collection, I want to give it a bestsellers tag. so here, bestseller, ok, and then click Save. so let's add this collection to our homepage by again clicking on the online store button here under sales channel themes and then customize. now this theme is actually auto populated with a featured collection button, so let's click on that so we can edit it. so, as we can see, Shopify has Auto populated a product into our featured collection. but we want to change this. we want to change our heading to say bestsellers and we want to change the product. so here under heading, let's change that to best sellers and under collection, instead of it being the homepage products. we want to change this. so we'll go change and we want to click bestsellers and there we have it. so it's been Auto populated with all the products that have a tagged bestsellers. click select, click Save. ok, now let's go back and check this all out. so I click here, click the Shopify icon where it says online store, just click the I icon and if we scroll down, we should see our new best sellers section. here we go, so we've got our yoga hot, yoga bands and now yoga mat, all with the bestseller tag. again, if we scroll down, here's our featured collection list. so there you have it. these are the two different ways you can set up collections for your online store with Shopify, so that everything on your store is easily accessible by your customers. being able to create collections is one How To Add Products To Shopify | Easy Step By Step Tutorial

all right, what's up guys? this is jay kidd. in this video, i'm going to be showing you, step by step, how you can go ahead and add in products to your shopify store. so all you need to make sure you do is that you already have your shopify store set up and created, and then we're going to go ahead and start adding products. so if you don't have your shopify store already set up, you can go ahead and click the link in the description to start your free trial, and once you go ahead and create the store, you'll be brought to this page right here, which is where we can go ahead and get started. but before we get into the video, i want to thank this video's sponsor, tidio. tidio is a live chat shopify app that allows you to chat directly with your customers in real time. having live chat as part of your customer support stack is very important in today's world of e-commerce. messaging has quickly become one of the preferred ways for customers to reach out to businesses for support, since a live chat is quicker than an email and easier than a phone call. so having this option available on your store is a must to optimize customer experience and to increase your conversion rate. the tidio app is very easy to set up and you can have it up and running within minutes. tidio also lets you connect your meta, messenger and instagram accounts so you can handle all of your messages in one place. another powerful feature you can use with tidio is an ai powered chatbot, which is a bot that will automatikally respond to customer inquiries based on what they ask. you can create your own custom chat bot or you can choose from one of tidio's many pre-made chat bots that they offer. using an ai chat bot can save you time and customer support cost by automating simpler customer support inquiries that don't require an actual person to respond to. tidio is the number one live chat app for shopify, with 1300 five star reviews in the app store. so check out tidio now by clicking the first link in the description. so let's go ahead and get into it here. so all you need to do is go over here to the products section right here on the left, and then we're just going to click on add products here in the top right and we're going to be brought to this screen right here. so the first thing we need to do is put in a title for our product here. so in this case i'm going to be adding a deck of playing cards as our product right here, so that's going to be our title. then we have the product description right here. so the product description is going to be used to help, obviously, describe what the product is to the customer. but also you can use the description to help with things like seo. so if you put relevant keywords in your description, it's going to help your product to show up in google for specific keywords. so keep that in mind when you are editing your product descriptions. so you normally want to take a good amount of time to edit your product descriptions to make sure that they have a lot of details in there, and i do have a separate video on how to go ahead and do that. but this is where you can go ahead and put in the description. so in this case i'll just put in a couple basic things. so when you're filling out your description, you can put in text, or you can also put in other things, such as images, by clicking insert image here, or you can insert a video here as well, or you can also insert custom html by clicking on show html. so the next part of adding a product. here is going to be the media section, so this is where we can upload pictures or videos of our specific product here. so i'm going to go ahead and do that right now. so you want to make sure, when you're adding pictures and videos of your product, that they're very clear and professional looking pictures. you want to make sure that they're not blurry or pixelated, because when people are buying things online, the primary selling process is going to be extremely visual. so if you don't have good pictures, then your product is likely not going to sell very well. so if we go ahead and scroll down, we can see that the next thing we can do here is set up our pricing for our product here, so we can put in, let's say, a price for this deck of cards right here and then, right here, we can go ahead and choose what's known as a compare at price. so this is how you can go ahead and create a sale. so i'll go ahead and show you what this is really quick. so, first, if we come up here and i just click active on product status- real quick- and i'm going to go ahead and save our changes and what i'm going to do is i'm going to preview this product right now and we can see here that right now it shows this product as 5.99, which is the price we set. but if i were to go ahead and make the compare at price 9.99 and then i click on save here and come up here and preview it once again, we can see that now it essentially creates a sales. before it was 9.99 and now it is 5.99. so that's how you can go ahead and create a sale is by using the compare at price here and then down here you can choose whether or not you're going to charge tax on this product, just by checking or unchecking this box, and then down here is your calls per item. so this can help you to determine your profit margins on your product here. so if you are making these products yourself, you can go ahead and put in how much it costs for you to make these products. or if you're sourcing this product from somewhere else, you can go ahead and put in how much it costs to source this product. so let's say it cost us one dollar to source these deck of cards and then we can see that it shows us that we are making a profit of 4.99 at our current sale price. so we have an 83.3 profit margin. so this just helps us to see our numbers up front and determine good pricing for our products. and moving down from here, we can come down to the inventory section right here. so first we have the sku, so the stok keeping unit. so this is where you can assign certain number and letter combinations to kind of keep track of your different products right here. so if you do have an sku for each one of your products, this is where you can go ahead and put it in. and then, if you have a barcode for your product as well, you can go ahead and put that in right here. and certain ad platforms, such as if you're trying to run like google shopping ads, are going to require a barcode. so that's where this would be important, right here. right here you can choose whether or not you want to track the quantity of your products here. so if you have a specific quantity in stok, then you want to go ahead and track it right here. and then you can also choose whether or not you want to continue selling when you're out of stok. so if you want to keep selling when you're out of stok, you can check this, but we're going to go ahead and keep that unchecked and then, right down here, you can go ahead and take a look at your location. so if you're fulfilling from a physical location, like a warehouse, you can go ahead and edit your quantities in here within the actual fulfillment center. so let's say that in our warehouse we have, let's say, 100 new playing card decks in stok. so now we have 100 in stok right there. so you can go ahead and put 100 in this specific location right here. and if you're not using a specific location, you don't have to use this, but if you are, this is where you can go ahead and set it up. this is where we can choose whether or not it's a physical product. so if it is a physical product, we'll keep it checked. if it's a digital product, you just get rid of it. and then we can go ahead and put in the weight of the product right here- and this is going to help us with setting up our shipping and things of that nature. and then, right here, we can enter in some customs information right here. so you have to go ahead and enter this if you are shipping internationally. so in this case, you're just going to select your country of origin right here, which in this partikular case would be the united states. so you can go ahead and
