00:00:48 00:00:52 as they wanted to when they first
00:00:50 00:00:53 launched the product and it's just
00:00:52 00:00:55 something that I really want to
00:00:53 00:00:56 eliminate and there's usually a reason
00:00:55 00:00:58 to why these people are failing maybe
00:00:56 00:01:00 they picked a bad product maybe they
00:00:58 00:01:01 took a shortcut in their product
00:01:00 00:01:02 research maybe they're not using a
00:01:01 00:01:04 product research like John let's go
00:01:02 00:01:06 they're going for something that's free
00:01:04 00:01:08 something that's a lot easier these
00:01:06 00:01:10 shortcuts are the reason that people are
00:01:08 00:01:12 failing so hopefully in this video I'll
00:01:10 00:01:13 show you in-depth step-by-step on how
00:01:12 00:01:16 you should be doing your product
00:01:13 00:01:18 research how you can be creative when
00:01:16 00:01:21 selecting different products to sell as
00:01:18 00:01:23 well as how you can consistently find
00:01:21 00:01:25 extremely profitable products using the
00:01:23 00:01:27 jungle Scout web app and the Chrome
00:01:25 00:01:30 extension so let's get right into it so
00:01:27 00:01:32 before you start doing product research
00:01:30 00:01:35 on Amazon I highly recommend you invest
00:01:32 00:01:37 in a tool now I'll be using the jungle
00:01:35 00:01:39 Scout web app in the Chrome extension as
00:01:37 00:01:40 well and is anytime throughout the video
00:01:39 00:01:42 if you want to learn more about them
00:01:40 00:01:43 there will be a link in the description
00:01:42 00:01:45 to both those softwares to where you can
00:01:43 00:01:47 go and learn a little bit more about
00:01:45 00:01:49 them so once you're on the jungle Scout
00:01:47 00:01:52 web app you need to put in your product
00:01:49 00:01:53 criteria now this is huge when it comes
00:01:52 00:01:55 to doing product research are you
00:01:53 00:01:56 wanting a product that sells for fifteen
00:01:55 00:01:58 or twenty dollars or are you wanting
00:01:56 00:02:00 more of a high dollar product at 30 to
00:01:58 00:02:03 40 now that all comes into play with
00:02:00 00:02:05 your margins how big that product is how
00:02:03 00:02:06 much that products gonna cost so that's
00:02:05 00:02:08 really all up to you but I'm just going
00:02:06 00:02:10 to give you the best example that I can
00:02:08 00:02:13 for this video so first I have to go and
00:02:10 00:02:13 select your categories then you're going
00:02:13 00:02:16 to want
00:02:13 00:02:17 come in and obviously select the size of
00:02:16 00:02:19 the product I usually go with standard
00:02:17 00:02:21 because you're not gonna want to sell
00:02:19 00:02:22 oversized products that they're gonna be
00:02:21 00:02:24 bid they're gonna be a pain the ship
00:02:22 00:02:27 from overseas and the fees or could be
00:02:24 00:02:29 insanely high when it comes to filters I
00:02:27 00:02:31 usually what I teach in my course is
00:02:29 00:02:33 anywhere from fifteen being the lowest
00:02:31 00:02:36 price and fifty being the highest price
00:02:33 00:02:37 so usually for this example I'm gonna go
00:02:36 00:02:41 let's go fourteen
00:02:37 00:02:44 let's go fourteen ninety five to twenty
00:02:41 00:02:47 five dollars I usually ignore these two
00:02:44 00:02:48 when it comes to sales let's look for
00:02:47 00:02:49 something that's selling a decent amount
00:02:48 00:02:52 because we're doing a little bit lower
00:02:49 00:02:54 for price let's do five hundred units
00:02:52 00:02:55 when you usually don't have to put
00:02:54 00:02:57 revenue in there but for this example
00:02:55 00:02:58 actually found a product that's going to
00:02:57 00:03:02 work really well and fits our criteria
00:02:58 00:03:05 and so usually usually eight thousand to
00:03:02 00:03:07 about fourteen thousand is a pretty good
00:03:05 00:03:10 gap revenue wise when it comes to
00:03:07 00:03:11 reviews I do not really like competitive
00:03:10 00:03:13 stuff and I recommend staying
00:03:11 00:03:17 I don't know under fifty reviews or so
00:03:13 00:03:18 and this is a lower priced product so
00:03:17 00:03:20 we're definitely not going to want it to
00:03:18 00:03:22 weigh a lot because that'll definitely
00:03:20 00:03:26 cut into a margin so let's go a max
00:03:22 00:03:29 weight of one pound so might the search
00:03:26 00:03:31 button and jungle Scott will pull down
00:03:29 00:03:34 every result that fits that criteria
00:03:31 00:03:36 that we put in so I mean out of the
00:03:34 00:03:38 millions and millions and millions of
00:03:36 00:03:39 products on Amazon jungle Scott just
00:03:38 00:03:42 narrowed it down it's a twenty three
00:03:39 00:03:44 hundred products that fit our product
00:03:42 00:03:46 criteria that we just put in so now all
00:03:44 00:03:48 you could all you do is you just go
00:03:46 00:03:50 through and see if anything seems
00:03:48 00:03:52 interesting to you I'm gonna be able to
00:03:50 00:03:57 see the picture you can see the reviews
00:03:52 00:03:59 the rank the amount of sales on average
00:03:57 00:04:01 that product is getting per month or
00:03:59 00:04:03 revenue that product is doing so it's a
00:04:01 00:04:04 great way for you to go through and just
00:04:03 00:04:07 find different products and see if
00:04:04 00:04:08 there's opportunity and that mark I mean
00:04:07 00:04:11 you can see reviews I mean these
00:04:08 00:04:13 products twenty reviews twenty-five
00:04:11 00:04:14 thirty seven so it's not super
00:04:13 00:04:17 competitive and they're all doing around
00:04:14 00:04:19 that ten thousand range in revenue doing
00:04:17 00:04:21 over five hundred sales a months that's
00:04:19 00:04:23 an opportunity for you to go in and find
00:04:21 00:04:25 a product to see if there's some that
00:04:23 00:04:26 she could possibly saw on Amazon I want
00:04:25 00:04:27 to try to find the best example that I
00:04:26 00:04:30 can I
00:04:27 00:04:32 believe I saw it earlier let's see here
00:04:30 00:04:34 it should be coming up soon and this
00:04:32 00:04:38 product is very unique and I'll show you
00:04:34 00:04:39 exactly why right after I find it let's
00:04:38 00:04:43 keep scrolling so here it is it's
00:04:39 00:04:46 anti-aging Jade roller as you can see 17
00:04:43 00:04:49 reviews coming over 600 units a month
00:04:46 00:04:53 has a reputable and I mean when you look
00:04:49 00:04:55 at the price I mean it's for about $22 I
00:04:53 00:04:58 mean in fees it's nothing too crazy 628
00:04:55 00:04:59 and I mean after fees and everything
00:04:58 00:05:01 they're making fifteen dollars to
00:04:59 00:05:03 sixty-seven cents obviously - whatever
00:05:01 00:05:04 they're paying for this product so those
00:05:03 00:05:07 are some pretty good margins especially
00:05:04 00:05:09 doing six nine years a month it was 17
00:05:07 00:05:11 reviews so it's actually going and
00:05:09 00:05:14 looking a little bit more into this Jade
00:05:11 00:05:15 Roller market so obviously we want to
00:05:14 00:05:20 take the most broad search term for this
00:05:15 00:05:25 product so let's just do Jade Roller and
00:05:20 00:05:27 as you can see there are 288 results for
00:05:25 00:05:29 that search term and as you can scroll
00:05:27 00:05:33 down they all seem to be the same thing
00:05:29 00:05:35 this green roller some people have
00:05:33 00:05:36 different packaging which makes them
00:05:35 00:05:38 stand out makes them look a little bit
00:05:36 00:05:40 unique cuz I mean if you were to compare
00:05:38 00:05:42 this product right here really nice
00:05:40 00:05:43 packaging this one right here compared
00:05:42 00:05:45 to this product obviously there's a
00:05:43 00:05:47 reason they're fetching higher prices in
00:05:45 00:05:50 this product for ten dollars so let's go
00:05:47 00:05:53 ahead and pull down jungle Scout Chrome
00:05:50 00:05:55 extension and see exactly how well or
00:05:53 00:05:57 helped and these products are selling I
00:05:55 00:06:00 mean as you can see they're doing the
00:05:57 00:06:02 first page for Jade rollers doing I mean
00:06:00 00:06:04 everyone's almost doing like a thousand
00:06:02 00:06:06 units a month probably on average I mean
00:06:04 00:06:09 the revenue is insane you come out of
00:06:06 00:06:10 the reviews and they're a little bit
00:06:09 00:06:12 higher than I would like obviously it is
00:06:10 00:06:14 five hundred one hundred forty two
00:06:12 00:06:16 hundred so there's about five sellers
00:06:14 00:06:18 that have around that one hundred plus
00:06:16 00:06:22 two hundred plus review range so that's
00:06:18 00:06:23 a bit competitive now that does make me
00:06:22 00:06:25 a little bit nervous
00:06:23 00:06:27 however I'll show you something in the
00:06:25 00:06:30 backend to why you can still make money
00:06:27 00:06:33 from this product now the reason being
00:06:30 00:06:35 is when you look at this page there's
00:06:33 00:06:37 something that stands out I mean
00:06:35 00:06:40 obviously some people have a quantity of
00:06:37 00:06:43 two different packaging in a diff
00:06:40 00:06:45 variations of green as you can see is
00:06:43 00:06:47 kind of the same unique product but it's
00:06:45 00:06:50 the same color everyone is selling this
00:06:47 00:06:52 green variation or maybe some different
00:06:50 00:06:54 variations of green of this Jade roller
00:06:52 00:06:56 now as a seller if you were to try to
00:06:54 00:06:58 come into this market right now with
00:06:56 00:07:00 that same exact roller um you would
00:06:58 00:07:03 really struggle because there's already
00:07:00 00:07:04 280 listings making sales for this
00:07:03 00:07:07 obviously you could bundle something
00:07:04 00:07:08 with it maybe another unit you can make
00:07:07 00:07:10 some really nice packaging but I think
00:07:08 00:07:12 right now if you were to enter this
00:07:10 00:07:14 market with a green roller I think you
00:07:12 00:07:16 would be a very very competitive but
00:07:14 00:07:17 still with different strategies I still
00:07:16 00:07:20 think he can make some really good money
00:07:17 00:07:23 but if you notike here on the right
00:07:20 00:07:25 corner there's this like pink like
00:07:23 00:07:28 rose-colored roller as you can see right
00:07:25 00:07:29 here that this person is advertising so
00:07:28 00:07:31 in the title
00:07:29 00:07:34 yeah they don't include pink this is a
00:07:31 00:07:35 rose color and as you can see all those
00:07:34 00:07:36 listings that we were looking at we're
00:07:35 00:07:38 green but here's just listening right
00:07:36 00:07:41 here for this color Rose so let's go
00:07:38 00:07:46 ahead and do some research for this
00:07:41 00:07:49 certain color rose and as you can see
00:07:46 00:07:50 there are 33 listings in the beauty and
00:07:49 00:07:54 personal category so it's actually going
00:07:50 00:07:55 to all departments just in cases some
00:07:54 00:07:58 people listed it in a different category
00:07:55 00:08:00 than what they were supposed to so as
00:07:58 00:08:01 you can see some of the sponsor listings
00:08:00 00:08:03 are for that green color but you can see
00:08:01 00:08:11 here's some pink people sign this pink
00:08:03 00:08:12 color right here 1569 $34.99 $30 $25 I
00:08:11 00:08:14 mean those price points are a lot higher
00:08:12 00:08:16 than what we saw for those green rollers
00:08:14 00:08:18 so once again let's pull down our go
00:08:16 00:08:20 Scout Chrome extension and see how well
00:08:18 00:08:23 this color variation of these rollers
00:08:20 00:08:27 are selling look at that that listing we
00:08:23 00:08:31 clicked on earlier $35,000 in revenue
00:08:27 00:08:34 1400 sales a month with 29 reviews I
00:08:31 00:08:36 mean that's pretty insane when you come
00:08:34 00:08:39 through there's green there's a here's
00:08:36 00:08:42 one right here with two reviews 133
00:08:39 00:08:44 units not very good pictures at all I
00:08:42 00:08:45 mean you compare those pictures to this
00:08:44 00:08:46 picture I mean you're obviously gonna
00:08:45 00:08:48 pick this one
00:08:46 00:08:49 99% of the time unless you're a
00:08:48 00:08:52 cheapskate want to go for something with
00:08:49 00:08:54 a really low price um here's another one
00:08:52 00:08:56 right here $30 price
00:08:54 00:08:58 180 units I mean they're probably doing
00:08:56 00:09:00 two to three thousand dollars in profit
00:08:58 00:09:05 on 11 reviews here's another one right

00:09:09 00:09:12 you can see what we did is we found a
00:09:11 00:09:14 market where people are out in success
00:09:12 00:09:16 selling a product and then we found a
00:09:14 00:09:18 variation of that product or there's
00:09:16 00:09:19 people making some really really good
00:09:18 00:09:21 money but there's not a lot of people
00:09:19 00:09:23 signing that product so let's go ahead
00:09:21 00:09:26 and go to Alibaba and see what we can
00:09:23 00:09:29 find price-wise for this product so here
00:09:26 00:09:31 we are Alibaba and let's use the same
00:09:29 00:09:32 broad search term we used on Amazon for
00:09:31 00:09:34 Alibaba
00:09:32 00:09:36 and let's see what people are selling
00:09:34 00:09:38 these for let's see what we can get them
00:09:36 00:09:42 buying in wholesale so as you can see
00:09:38 00:09:46 200 pieces $1 to $3 and 85 cents look
00:09:42 00:09:50 here's that rose card one $2 to $3 for
00:09:46 00:09:54 50 pieces $1 to $4 that looks like us
00:09:50 00:09:56 for a set 28 cents to a dollar 75 for
00:09:54 00:09:59 one you know I mean you can see that if
00:09:56 00:10:01 you buy these in bulk if you buy 50 100
00:09:59 00:10:04 pieces you can most likely get this

00:11:29 00:11:34 so they're selling this product for what
00:11:31 00:11:38 was it 20 believe it was twenty four
00:11:34 00:11:41 forty seven that's their price point and
00:11:38 00:11:43 the ship to Amazon price let's just say
00:11:41 00:11:45 we already incorporated it into our $5
00:11:43 00:11:47 buy cost let's put a zero and our cost
00:11:45 00:11:49 of product for the product the custom
00:11:47 00:11:52 product packaging and shipping is going
00:11:49 00:11:54 to be $5 so for this certain listing
00:11:52 00:11:57 selling it for a price point of twenty
00:11:54 00:11:59 four forty seven and if they're if their
00:11:57 00:12:01 product price is five dollars which I
00:11:59 00:12:03 imagine it's a lot lower because they're
00:12:01 00:12:05 ordering thousands and thousands of
00:12:03 00:12:08 units they're making it twelve dollars
00:12:05 00:12:10 in fifty nine cents per unit off a five
00:12:08 00:12:14 dollar buy cost on average is what we
00:12:10 00:12:16 estimated I mean those are insane
00:12:14 00:12:19 Martinus and as you can see let's come
00:12:16 00:12:23 back over here 1400 sales is what
00:12:19 00:12:27 they're estimated to do per month 1400
00:12:23 00:12:32 sales so let's go over here put that in
00:12:27 00:12:35 1431 calculates so they're doing
00:12:32 00:12:39 obviously $35,000 in the revenue and
00:12:35 00:12:41 their net profit is $18,000 a month so
00:12:39 00:12:43 if this person is selling this product
00:12:41 00:12:45 for twenty four forty seven if they're
00:12:43 00:12:48 buy costs anywhere around five dollars
00:12:45 00:12:50 they're making 12 hours 59 cents per
00:12:48 00:12:51 unit times fourteen hundred plus units a
00:12:50 00:12:54 month they're doing over eighteen
00:12:51 00:12:56 thousand dollars in profit a month from
00:12:54 00:12:59 that one unique product and their
00:12:56 00:13:02 competition is very very slim for that
00:12:59 00:13:04 color this Rose that pinkish color as
00:13:02 00:13:07 you can see everyone was having success
00:13:04 00:13:08 with that green color people were having
00:13:07 00:13:10 really great success really good sales
00:13:08 00:13:12 but we wanted to find a way to
00:13:10 00:13:14 differentiate yourself from the market
00:13:12 00:13:17 so why not try a different color roller
00:13:14 00:13:20 this pink roller as you can see people
00:13:17 00:13:21 were doing insane sales I mean I think
00:13:20 00:13:23 there were maybe five or six
00:13:21 00:13:25 listings on here most of them had under
00:13:23 00:13:28 10 reviews I think this was the only one
00:13:25 00:13:31 over 10 or 10 or 11 reviews I mean doing
00:13:28 00:13:33 a couple hundred unions a month I mean
00:13:31 00:13:35 the there's tons and tons of products
00:13:33 00:13:37 out there that you can find you just
00:13:35 00:13:39 have to you know play around with your
00:13:37 00:13:41 criteria and jungle Scout maybe instead
00:13:39 00:13:43 of a price point of fifteen twenty-five
00:13:41 00:13:45 maybe try something that's twenty to
00:13:43 00:13:47 thirty maybe you want anywhere from
00:13:45 00:13:48 sales 400 a month though you want six
00:13:47 00:13:50 hundred month it's really all up to you
00:13:48 00:13:52 but if you just be creative and think
00:13:50 00:13:55 outside of the box you're gonna always
00:13:52 00:13:58 be able to find extremely profitable
00:13:55 00:14:00 products to sell on Amazon FBA so that
00:13:58 00:14:02 was just a quick little run-through of
