00:00:21 00:00:26 product is and how you can make money on
00:00:23 00:00:28 Amazon selling it seasonal products so
00:00:26 00:00:30 let's go ahead and check out the
00:00:28 00:00:32 storefront so as you can see already
00:00:30 00:00:34 here's the storefront right here here's

00:00:34 00:00:40 around I'd say 20 products are so under
00:00:38 00:00:42 this brand now I'm gonna come over here

00:00:45 00:00:49 mean they're doing some really really
00:00:47 00:00:51 good numbers I mean then for their first
00:00:49 00:00:54 listing right off the bat is doing over
00:00:51 00:00:56 a hundred thirty K in revenue a month I
00:00:54 00:00:59 mean all these are doing almost five
00:00:56 00:01:01 figures a month in revenue except for
00:00:59 00:01:04 this one right here and I'll sort of buy
00:01:01 00:01:05 revenue now the title of this video is
00:01:04 00:01:08 mate was doing a hundred thousand
00:01:05 00:01:11 dollars um I have no idea what this
00:01:08 00:01:13 company's margins are I mean I'd say
00:01:11 00:01:14 anywhere from probably twenty to forty
00:01:13 00:01:16 percent if I were guessing could be a
00:01:14 00:01:19 little bit less but this is what a
00:01:16 00:01:21 seasonal like a seasonal business looks
00:01:19 00:01:23 like I mean there's obviously they're
00:01:21 00:01:25 selling pool floaties as you can see
00:01:23 00:01:27 everything is pool floaties or pool
00:01:25 00:01:30 floaties related or something has to do
00:01:27 00:01:33 with the pool and I mean those items are
00:01:30 00:01:34 gonna sell obviously within the summer
00:01:33 00:01:37 months you know that May June July
00:01:34 00:01:39 August maybe a little bit of September
00:01:37 00:01:41 and sales are just absolutely gonna
00:01:39 00:01:43 skyrocket everything's gonna be selling
00:01:41 00:01:45 well everyone's looking of li5 pool
00:01:43 00:01:46 floaties for parties and for the
00:01:45 00:01:49 children and everything and it's just a
00:01:46 00:01:51 really great item to sell so back to the
00:01:49 00:01:54 Chrome extension and back to seasonal
00:01:51 00:01:55 products I mean seasonal products are a
00:01:54 00:01:57 great way to you know take advantage and
00:01:55 00:02:00 just like ride the wave ride the wave
00:01:57 00:02:02 during you know those trendy months and
00:02:00 00:02:04 then as the months start to die off you
00:02:02 00:02:06 kind of want to you know sell out of
00:02:04 00:02:09 most your product now the big thing
00:02:06 00:02:11 about seasonal products is a lot of
00:02:09 00:02:13 people don't actually get any seasonal
00:02:11 00:02:15 products for mainly two reasons
00:02:13 00:02:17 one they don't prepare ahead of time
00:02:15 00:02:18 that people that are making the really
00:02:17 00:02:21 big money are the ones that are
00:02:18 00:02:23 preparing in the winter to sell summer
00:02:21 00:02:25 products or the ones that are already
00:02:23 00:02:27 ordering already having them in stok so
00:02:25 00:02:29 that right when it starts to hit that
00:02:27 00:02:30 tipping point to summer they already
00:02:29 00:02:31 have listings up they're already
00:02:30 00:02:34 starting to get reviews you know sales
00:02:31 00:02:36 running PPC so that when it starts you
00:02:34 00:02:38 know getting to its peak time in the
00:02:36 00:02:39 middle of you know June and July their
00:02:38 00:02:41 listings are already there
00:02:39 00:02:44 most people are mainly the new sellers
00:02:41 00:02:46 or the newbies will be seeing you know
00:02:44 00:02:48 on jungle sky like hey like these pool
00:02:46 00:02:49 floaters doing really good and they're
00:02:48 00:02:52 seeing these results like in the middle
00:02:49 00:02:53 of June they say hey I'm gonna order it
00:02:52 00:02:54 by the time they get it's already
00:02:53 00:02:57 mid-july these listings that I've
00:02:54 00:03:00 already come ahead and already have
00:02:57 00:03:02 sales history already has sales volume
00:03:00 00:03:03 they're gonna be able to you know rank
00:03:02 00:03:06 and sell a lot better than that new
00:03:03 00:03:07 seller who is coming in you know late
00:03:06 00:03:09 during the season this sell that
00:03:07 00:03:11 seasonal product so some of the
00:03:09 00:03:13 advantages of selling seasonal products
00:03:11 00:03:15 is that during you know peak time during
00:03:13 00:03:17 peak months you're gonna receive a huge
00:03:15 00:03:19 spike in sales it's not just gonna be
00:03:17 00:03:21 like a regular spike it's gonna be like
00:03:19 00:03:22 a huge spike because that product is in
00:03:21 00:03:24 season people are looking to purchase
00:03:22 00:03:26 that product you know if you're running
00:03:24 00:03:27 hard advertising for different search
00:03:26 00:03:29 terms you can be able to rank your
00:03:27 00:03:31 product pretty quickly and also there's
00:03:29 00:03:33 gonna be a lot less competition
00:03:31 00:03:35 personally I think when it comes to
00:03:33 00:03:36 seasonal items because I mean you here
00:03:35 00:03:39 to the Amazon people that tok on
00:03:36 00:03:40 YouTube and things like that they
00:03:39 00:03:42 recommend you stay away from seasonal
00:03:40 00:03:44 product so they just be smart about it
00:03:42 00:03:46 and I feel like that for at least new
00:03:44 00:03:47 sellers just kind of scares I mean like
00:03:46 00:03:50 what about if I want to sell this
00:03:47 00:03:51 product in the summer and the winter you
00:03:50 00:03:53 know they're kind of going towards
00:03:51 00:03:54 products are gonna sell your round so I
00:03:53 00:03:57 personally think that there's probably
00:03:54 00:04:00 less competition when it comes to with
00:03:57 00:04:02 selling seasonal products now another
00:04:00 00:04:04 big advantage to selling seasonal
00:04:02 00:04:06 products is that most companies are
00:04:04 00:04:07 quantity over quality what I mean by
00:04:06 00:04:10 that is when it comes to their listing
00:04:07 00:04:12 they're honestly not that good I mean
00:04:10 00:04:14 the pictures the pictures are decent
00:04:12 00:04:15 they could use some help like when it
00:04:14 00:04:18 comes to something like you know the
00:04:15 00:04:20 title looks decent here but you know you
00:04:18 00:04:23 go to I mean the bullet points and
00:04:20 00:04:25 there's like barely a sentence for each
00:04:23 00:04:26 bullet point you come down to the
00:04:25 00:04:27 description they've got some pictures
00:04:26 00:04:29 but it's not
00:04:27 00:04:31 a descriptive is not always showing like
00:04:29 00:04:32 the benefits I mean they're showing on
00:04:31 00:04:35 this listen they're showing pictures of
00:04:32 00:04:36 all these other items of their son this
00:04:35 00:04:39 could be in their storefront as well but
00:04:36 00:04:41 you need to be selling this product that
00:04:39 00:04:42 you have on the listing and I think that
00:04:41 00:04:44 if you're to just come into the market
00:04:42 00:04:46 you know get a product similar to this
00:04:44 00:04:48 and just optimize your listing which I
00:04:46 00:04:50 toked about in a video not too long ago
00:04:48 00:04:53 it's just you know make a good title get
00:04:50 00:04:55 professional pictures done get a really
00:04:53 00:04:56 descriptive you know bullet points and
00:04:55 00:04:58 description that go over like the
00:04:56 00:05:00 benefits and the features of that
00:04:58 00:05:01 product you know be able to you know out
00:05:00 00:05:04 so your competition even if you don't
00:05:01 00:05:05 have that many reviews or you know if
00:05:04 00:05:06 you're a smaller seller that doesn't
00:05:05 00:05:09 matter if you take the time you know
00:05:06 00:05:11 upfront to build you know a stronger and
00:05:09 00:05:13 just more descriptive listing you'll be
00:05:11 00:05:14 able to outsell your competition that
00:05:13 00:05:16 are going for that you know quantity
00:05:14 00:05:18 over quality they have you know 20 30
00:05:16 00:05:20 listings but they're not really focusing
00:05:18 00:05:22 on each individual list and there's
00:05:20 00:05:23 trying to add new ones and just leaving
00:05:22 00:05:26 these ones off kind of in the dust with
00:05:23 00:05:28 just minimal work now a disadvantage to
00:05:26 00:05:30 selling it seasonal products is that
00:05:28 00:05:31 they're not obviously going to sell
00:05:30 00:05:33 year-round they're going to sell during
00:05:31 00:05:36 the peak times of the months for that
00:05:33 00:05:38 season of the product now that leaves
00:05:36 00:05:40 you a seller needing to have a game plan
00:05:38 00:05:42 an exit strategy for when the peak times
00:05:40 00:05:44 when that season is starting to die off
00:05:42 00:05:46 because the last thing you want is to
00:05:44 00:05:49 keep restoking or inventory and then
00:05:46 00:05:50 sales just start to like decline if you
00:05:49 00:05:52 keep adding inventory I mean you're
00:05:50 00:05:54 gonna get stuck with a ton of leftover
00:05:52 00:05:56 inventory you know obviously for this
00:05:54 00:05:58 product if you're starting to place
00:05:56 00:05:59 orders and you know August September I
00:05:58 00:06:01 mean that's a little bit risky because
00:05:59 00:06:03 after September starts to get a little
00:06:01 00:06:06 bit colder if you keep placing large
00:06:03 00:06:07 orders you're gonna have a ton of excess
00:06:06 00:06:10 units sitting at the Amazon warehouse
00:06:07 00:06:12 you know picking up excess fees you know
00:06:10 00:06:14 you've got a lot of inventory you know
00:06:12 00:06:15 you've got a lot of expenses you know
00:06:14 00:06:17 wrapped up in that inventory they could
00:06:15 00:06:19 be using on other products or other
00:06:17 00:06:20 things related to your business but it's
00:06:19 00:06:22 just sitting in the warehouse because
00:06:20 00:06:24 you decided to you know place too large
00:06:22 00:06:26 of an order kind of on the end near that
00:06:24 00:06:27 product and that's something big same
00:06:26 00:06:31 thing goes for you need to have these
00:06:27 00:06:33 products ready to sell early on within
00:06:31 00:06:35 that season as well so you can kind of
00:06:33 00:06:37 get a head start of your competition you
00:06:35 00:06:39 know start getting sales you know for
00:06:37 00:06:40 different search terms for that product
00:06:39 00:06:41 so that's definitely one of the bigger
00:06:40 00:06:43 advantage
00:06:41 00:06:46 - selling seasonal products now I
00:06:43 00:06:49 personally have sold trendy products
00:06:46 00:06:50 before I've yet to sell a fully seasonal
00:06:49 00:06:52 product but I mean the same kind of
00:06:50 00:06:54 method the same kind of strategy goes
00:06:52 00:06:56 for you know you want to hop in to that
00:06:54 00:06:57 training product or that seasonal
00:06:56 00:06:59 product you want or you want to ride the
00:06:57 00:07:01 wave during the season but then you want
00:06:59 00:07:03 to make sure you have a proper exit
00:07:01 00:07:05 strategy for instance the trendy product
00:07:03 00:07:07 that I was selling um kind of a big
00:07:05 00:07:09 reason I made this video is to like let
00:07:07 00:07:11 people know that you can make a ton of
00:07:09 00:07:13 money you know with training products
00:07:11 00:07:14 and seasonal products I mean the sales
00:07:13 00:07:16 are just gonna be there everybody's
00:07:14 00:07:18 looking to purchase that item it's just
00:07:16 00:07:20 really easy to create sales but one of
00:07:18 00:07:22 the dangerous things about selling you
00:07:20 00:07:25 know seasonal products trendy products
00:07:22 00:07:27 is I've I feel like the end of the
00:07:25 00:07:28 season the end of the season especially
00:07:27 00:07:31 if you're a new seller you know this is
00:07:28 00:07:33 your first time to sell a seasonal
00:07:31 00:07:35 related product where it's only peaking
00:07:33 00:07:37 during certain months is um people don't
00:07:35 00:07:39 really know their proper exit strategy
00:07:37 00:07:41 which I just mentioned like a minute ago
00:07:39 00:07:43 and they just start placing large orders
00:07:41 00:07:44 and all the sudden their product listing
00:07:43 00:07:46 dies off because no one's wanting to buy
00:07:44 00:07:48 a pool floats anymore or whatever
00:07:46 00:07:49 seasonal item it is because you know
00:07:48 00:07:52 it's getting too cold or it's starting
00:07:49 00:07:54 the rain or storm and people are losing
00:07:52 00:07:55 a lot of money on the back end when I
00:07:54 00:07:57 was selling my trendy product I mean it
00:07:55 00:08:00 was selling like crazy if I'd say I'd
00:07:57 00:08:01 say two three months and I kept placing
00:08:00 00:08:03 bigger orders and bigger orders and ice
00:08:01 00:08:05 to place the biggest order of all time
00:08:03 00:08:07 that all of a sudden there's you know
00:08:05 00:08:08 too much competition and then the trend
00:08:07 00:08:11 was starting to dial from they ended up
00:08:08 00:08:13 losing quite a bit of money on the back
00:08:11 00:08:15 end of that product so I just want to
00:08:13 00:08:17 like let you guys know that you can make
00:08:15 00:08:19 a lot of money you know during the peak
00:08:17 00:08:21 months during the peak time selling
00:08:19 00:08:22 seasonal or trendy price you seem to
00:08:21 00:08:24 make sure you have the proper exit
00:08:22 00:08:27 strategy I mean I go ahead and I pulled
00:08:24 00:08:30 down the jungle Scout Chrome extension
00:08:27 00:08:33 again I mean you can see I've sorted by
00:08:30 00:08:36 revenue I mean one listing is 130km
00:08:33 00:08:38 month 90km month fifty-seven thousand
00:08:36 00:08:41 fifty-four thousand thirty thousand I
00:08:38 00:08:43 mean the list goes on and on all the way
00:08:41 00:08:45 down I mean they're doing only good
00:08:43 00:08:46 numbers I mean it's still early June
00:08:45 00:08:48 right now I could see these numbers
00:08:46 00:08:50 going throughout June throughout July
00:08:48 00:08:52 and throughout August it may be kind of
00:08:50 00:08:54 the earlier parts of September so I mean
00:08:52 00:08:56 easily this biz
00:08:54 00:09:00 this model right here is probably doing
00:08:56 00:09:02 I'd say over you know over that that
00:09:00 00:09:05 seasonal time probably anywhere from
00:09:02 00:09:07 seven hundred thousand to nine hundred
00:09:05 00:09:10 thousand maybe pushing a million dollars
00:09:07 00:09:11 in sales through their twenty products
00:09:10 00:09:13 and I have no idea like what their
00:09:11 00:09:14 margins are what their profit margins
00:09:13 00:09:17 are but I can tell you that this
00:09:14 00:09:19 business is profitable if you understand
00:09:17 00:09:22 how it works you understand that you
00:09:19 00:09:23 need to prepare ahead of time you can't
00:09:22 00:09:25 start preparing during that season
00:09:23 00:09:27 either prepare in the season before and
00:09:25 00:09:29 then you also as well need to have a
00:09:27 00:09:32 proper exit strategy to be able to sell
00:09:29 00:09:34 out of majority or the main portion of
00:09:32 00:09:36 your inventory before you know the
00:09:34 00:09:37 season starts to die off so you don't
00:09:36 00:09:40 get hit with a bunch of excess inventory
00:09:37 00:09:43 sitting at NAND warehouses you know
00:09:40 00:09:45 picking up excess FBA fees so that's it
