00:00:00 00:00:05 I haven't been the whole thing just kind
00:00:02 00:00:07 of like it's so wild I swear the
00:00:05 00:00:09 business has just run itself like it's
00:00:07 00:00:11 been just so easy the whole thing just
00:00:09 00:00:13 scaled so fast I just like stay in my
00:00:11 00:00:15 zone of genius and it just keeps like
00:00:13 00:00:17 growing scale and growing scaling
00:00:15 00:00:19 welcome to the my wife Critter job
00:00:17 00:00:21 podcast today I have Kat Norton on the
00:00:19 00:00:24 show now Kat and I were recently
00:00:21 00:00:26 featured on Ashley Banfield where we
00:00:24 00:00:28 shared some tips on how to start an
00:00:26 00:00:30 online business and Cat goes by the name
00:00:28 00:00:32 Miss Excel she's got over a million
00:00:30 00:00:34 followers on tiktok I think she
00:00:32 00:00:36 probably has more than that now which
00:00:34 00:00:38 she has leveraged into a software
00:00:36 00:00:41 training business that is now generating
00:00:38 00:00:43 up to six figures per day and she's only
00:00:41 00:00:45 been doing this since June of 2020. and
00:00:43 00:00:47 with that welcome to show cat how you
00:00:45 00:00:50 doing today hi thank you so much for
00:00:47 00:00:52 having me I'm doing great how are you I
00:00:50 00:00:54 am very good so is that still true do
00:00:52 00:00:57 you phone everything on the iPhone still
00:00:54 00:00:59 yes I do so I always have you know the
00:00:57 00:01:01 latest iPhones and things but I've
00:00:59 00:01:03 filmed everything on it the video
00:01:01 00:01:05 quality and the sound quality is
00:01:03 00:01:06 actually really good right so anyone
00:01:05 00:01:08 who's listening to this there's actually
00:01:06 00:01:11 no excuse like you don't need the
00:01:08 00:01:12 equipment I mean if cat can do it with
00:01:11 00:01:16 and and blow everything up like this
00:01:12 00:01:21 with an iPhone then then you can too
00:01:16 00:01:23 so how did you become Miss Excel oh an
00:01:21 00:01:26 amazing story so I'll take you back at
00:01:23 00:01:28 the start of the pandemic I had stopped
00:01:26 00:01:31 traveling every week for work and found
00:01:28 00:01:35 myself back in my childhood bedroom
00:01:31 00:01:37 really just pondering life like what am
00:01:35 00:01:41 I doing this doesn't really light me up
00:01:37 00:01:44 and I dove deep into spiritual inner
00:01:41 00:01:46 work really trying to find my purpose I
00:01:44 00:01:49 was like what am I actually meant to do
00:01:46 00:01:52 what really lights me up and through
00:01:49 00:01:55 meditation and inner work I got myself
00:01:52 00:01:57 to a place where I was like okay I meant
00:01:55 00:01:58 to do something really big I just still
00:01:57 00:02:00 don't know what it is
00:01:58 00:02:02 and now let's fast forward to June of
00:02:00 00:02:05 2020. I'm on the phone with my friend
00:02:02 00:02:07 Anna and we're going back and forth of
00:02:05 00:02:09 like ideas of like side hustles and
00:02:07 00:02:12 things I could start with the Excel
00:02:09 00:02:16 knowledge and never forget she goes what
00:02:12 00:02:19 if you put the Excel on tiktok and I
00:02:16 00:02:22 was like tiktok I'm 27 with him with
00:02:19 00:02:24 a corporate job I can't make a tiktok
00:02:22 00:02:26 I like everything of me was like no but
00:02:24 00:02:28 the second she said it it was almost
00:02:26 00:02:32 like a lightning bolt hit my head I just
00:02:28 00:02:34 saw the Excel screen above my head and
00:02:32 00:02:36 me like dancing and the initial Vision I
00:02:34 00:02:40 got was to the Tuesday slide that song
00:02:36 00:02:43 by Drake left foot of life to the left
00:02:40 00:02:46 and the right function in Excel and like
00:02:43 00:02:49 matching the music with the Excel tip
00:02:46 00:02:52 and so we got off the phone and for the
00:02:49 00:02:54 next like 48 hours I'm glitching out I'm
00:02:52 00:02:56 like oh what do I do what do I do I
00:02:54 00:02:57 remember my boyfriend being like are you
00:02:56 00:03:01 okay over there like I was just
00:02:57 00:03:04 destructs my brain was like you cannot
00:03:01 00:03:08 make a tiktok and my gut was like
00:03:04 00:03:10 make the tiktok and so two days go by
00:03:08 00:03:12 it was like a Friday afternoon three
00:03:10 00:03:14 o'clock all my meetings magically clear
00:03:12 00:03:16 and I'm like you know what I'm just
00:03:14 00:03:18 gonna give this a shot a dry run I'm not
00:03:16 00:03:21 doing hair makeup I'm just gonna see if
00:03:18 00:03:23 I can get a screen over my head because
00:03:21 00:03:25 I also had no video editing backgrounds
00:03:23 00:03:28 so I watched like a 40 minute YouTube
00:03:25 00:03:30 video on Wii video which I still use as
00:03:28 00:03:32 my video editing platform I remember
00:03:30 00:03:34 Googling what is the easiest video
00:03:32 00:03:35 editor and that came up on my search at
00:03:34 00:03:39 the time
00:03:35 00:03:42 and I did a test run and I got the
00:03:39 00:03:44 screen over my head and was like oh this
00:03:42 00:03:46 actually looks pretty cool so I quick
00:03:44 00:03:49 did my hair makeup and I filmed about 10
00:03:46 00:03:52 videos and I started posting one per day
00:03:49 00:03:55 on tiktok and by the fourth video it
00:03:52 00:03:57 hits a hundred thousand views and starts
00:03:55 00:03:59 getting pushed all these people I know
00:03:57 00:04:02 now mind you I did not tell anybody
00:03:59 00:04:04 besides my boyfriend and my mother that
00:04:02 00:04:07 I had made said tiktok so
00:04:04 00:04:11 this boy it starts getting pushed to
00:04:07 00:04:14 some co-workers I'm like oh my gosh and
00:04:11 00:04:17 then by the sixth video the CEO of an
00:04:14 00:04:20 I.T company reaches out and is like hey
00:04:17 00:04:22 I really love your teaching style I'm
00:04:20 00:04:24 looking to create G Suite training
00:04:22 00:04:26 videos for students parents and teachers
00:04:24 00:04:27 because this is when all the schools
00:04:26 00:04:30 were starting to go digital you know
00:04:27 00:04:32 clearly I'm a Microsoft gal but I was
00:04:30 00:04:35 like I you know the products are similar
00:04:32 00:04:37 I can learn them quickly I'm sure so I
00:04:35 00:04:39 form an LLC get a green screen a ring
00:04:37 00:04:41 light and next thing you know after my
00:04:39 00:04:43 day job every day I'm whipping out
00:04:41 00:04:45 videos and selling them back to this guy
00:04:43 00:04:47 and still creating the Miss Excel
00:04:45 00:04:49 context at this point I'm like it's an
00:04:47 00:04:52 opportunity magnet it's helping people
00:04:49 00:04:54 so I kind of had a little side hustle
00:04:52 00:04:56 going within the first week of putting
00:04:54 00:04:58 myself out there which is so wild
00:04:56 00:04:59 because like that partikular side hustle
00:04:58 00:05:01 is something I could have never
00:04:59 00:05:03 predicted when starting this like I
00:05:01 00:05:05 didn't go into this looking to make
00:05:03 00:05:07 money I came into this just looking to
00:05:05 00:05:09 help people and have a creative outlet
00:05:07 00:05:10 and just really kind of like meld that
00:05:09 00:05:12 together because I'm naturally a very
00:05:10 00:05:13 creative person and throughout my
00:05:12 00:05:15 corporate career I had nowhere to really
00:05:13 00:05:19 like plug it in
00:05:15 00:05:21 so that was like day six and I still
00:05:19 00:05:24 keep putting out the tiktoks and
00:05:21 00:05:27 three weeks in I have my first video go
00:05:24 00:05:29 viral which I remember looking down my
00:05:27 00:05:32 phone it reached 3.6 million views in
00:05:29 00:05:34 like a day good luck next thing you know
00:05:32 00:05:36 next thing you know I got a hundred
00:05:34 00:05:36 thousand followers on tiktok and I'm
00:05:36 00:05:39 like
00:05:36 00:05:42 what do I do I mean if you saw my
00:05:39 00:05:44 personal Instagram like I did not have a
00:05:42 00:05:46 lot of followers I wasn't really posting
00:05:44 00:05:49 I'm not like the influencery type
00:05:46 00:05:52 quote-unquote and I was like wow you
00:05:49 00:05:54 know this this grew pretty quick and at
00:05:52 00:05:56 the same time everything was going on in
00:05:54 00:05:59 the news about tiktok potentially
00:05:56 00:06:00 getting banned and then you blast and
00:05:59 00:06:04 I'm like all right I gotta hedge my risk
00:06:00 00:06:06 here I make an Instagram so I thought
00:06:04 00:06:08 people would pull over from the
00:06:06 00:06:10 Instagram but 2 000 people did that was
00:06:08 00:06:13 it so I'm like all right I guess I have
00:06:10 00:06:16 to go viral on Instagram and this was
00:06:13 00:06:17 right around when reels came out so next
00:06:16 00:06:20 thing you know I go viral on Instagram
00:06:17 00:06:22 grew 50 000 people in a week and then
00:06:20 00:06:26 the whole thing has been just kind of
00:06:22 00:06:28 scaling and growing since and I sold my
00:06:26 00:06:31 first course so I didn't have any
00:06:28 00:06:33 product until now November of 2020 so
00:06:31 00:06:34 for the first few months I built out the
00:06:33 00:06:36 following but then I've had probably
00:06:34 00:06:39 like three four hundred thousand people
00:06:36 00:06:41 across the platforms and a business
00:06:39 00:06:43 coach had reached out to me at the same
00:06:41 00:06:44 time as the morning Brew which the
00:06:43 00:06:46 morning Brew was looking to potentially
00:06:44 00:06:48 put me in the morning brew and the
00:06:46 00:06:49 business coach was like well you're
00:06:48 00:06:51 gonna be in the morning Brew bus have
00:06:49 00:06:55 something you sell and I was like oh
00:06:51 00:06:58 touche touche so I took two weeks off of
00:06:55 00:07:00 my day job I whipped out the coolest
00:06:58 00:07:02 most fun Excel course I could think of
00:07:00 00:07:05 like infused creativity and all these
00:07:02 00:07:07 things Video Edit every single video
00:07:05 00:07:09 myself because that's like part of the
00:07:07 00:07:11 teaching and art form for me
00:07:09 00:07:15 and I started selling it Black Friday
00:07:11 00:07:18 2020 and then by January of 2021 so two
00:07:15 00:07:20 months later it was bringing in more per
00:07:18 00:07:23 month than my day job was
00:07:20 00:07:25 so at that point I was like okay maybe I
00:07:23 00:07:27 need to reevaluate my priorities here
00:07:25 00:07:29 because I've just gotten promoted at my
00:07:27 00:07:31 day job to manager so everyone was
00:07:29 00:07:33 trying to train me and things I just
00:07:31 00:07:36 like really didn't feel that invested in
00:07:33 00:07:38 it anymore and you know I had the
00:07:36 00:07:39 classic like my parents being like what
00:07:38 00:07:42 are you gonna do about health insurance
00:07:39 00:07:45 benefits 401k and I was like I don't
00:07:42 00:07:47 know but I'm about to take this bet on
00:07:45 00:07:51 me right now and just go for this thing
00:07:47 00:07:54 so February 1st was my last day in
00:07:51 00:07:57 Corporate America and of 2021 and then
00:07:54 00:08:00 since then the business has grown and
00:07:57 00:08:03 scaled dramatikally and it has been the
00:08:00 00:08:06 absolute time of my life
00:08:03 00:08:08 that's crazy so in just eight months
00:08:06 00:08:10 you went from nothing to just quitting
00:08:08 00:08:12 your job and and replacing your many
00:08:10 00:08:15 times your day job salary income
00:08:12 00:08:17 okay I had a couple questions and I
00:08:15 00:08:19 didn't want to interrupt you when you
00:08:17 00:08:21 went from tiktok to Reels were you
00:08:19 00:08:22 just posting your tiktoks on your
00:08:21 00:08:24 reels
00:08:22 00:08:26 yes but I edit everything off the
00:08:24 00:08:28 platform so you don't have the
00:08:26 00:08:31 watermarks that's a key part okay even
00:08:28 00:08:33 though you can download your tiktoks
00:08:31 00:08:36 without the watermark using third-party
00:08:33 00:08:38 services you don't go that route no I do
00:08:36 00:08:40 completely off the apps and edit them
00:08:38 00:08:41 with like my own Flair also makes them
00:08:40 00:08:43 look a little different than the video
00:08:41 00:08:45 editing that Instagram or tiktok
00:08:43 00:08:47 comes with so I edit everything
00:08:45 00:08:50 completely like off the apps and then I
00:08:47 00:08:52 post them separately what do you do
00:08:50 00:08:54 about the music because certain music
00:08:52 00:08:58 only is on real only on tiktok but
00:08:54 00:08:58 not on reels so usually I'm
00:08:59 00:09:03 I always recommend for
00:09:00 00:09:03 start on
00:09:05 00:09:10 TV you know maybe a 30 second clip to
00:09:07 00:09:11 choose your 15 seconds from of a whole
00:09:10 00:09:13 song where Instagram will give you the
00:09:11 00:09:15 whole song to choose your 15 second clip
00:09:13 00:09:17 from or whatever you're looking for now
00:09:15 00:09:19 a bunch of them have like increased
00:09:17 00:09:20 sizing and things more recently but when
00:09:19 00:09:22 I was first starting out I needed to
00:09:20 00:09:24 make sure that that snippet that I chose
00:09:22 00:09:26 was also available on tiktok so I
00:09:24 00:09:28 always started on tiktok when I was
00:09:26 00:09:30 like brainstorming songs and things and
00:09:28 00:09:32 then usually I was able to find that
00:09:30 00:09:35 match on Instagram
00:09:32 00:09:37 so when that first person found you that
00:09:35 00:09:40 was it the G Suite person
00:09:37 00:09:41 um did they did you have like a link in
00:09:40 00:09:43 your bio like were you a business
00:09:41 00:09:45 account or were you so they just kind of
00:09:43 00:09:48 Googled you and found you so they found
00:09:45 00:09:49 me on tiktok and they commented on a
00:09:48 00:09:52 tiktok because you can't even DM me
00:09:49 00:09:55 yeah exactly yeah so they commented on a
00:09:52 00:09:57 tiktok and I was like oh and I like
00:09:55 00:10:00 added the message them back the next day
00:09:57 00:10:02 we got on a meeting loved their team and
00:10:00 00:10:05 for my LLC
00:10:02 00:10:07 that's amazing and then for your for
00:10:05 00:10:09 your course
00:10:07 00:10:11 you kind of just picked all that up and
00:10:09 00:10:13 just created it in a couple of months it
00:10:11 00:10:15 seems right yeah so usually I can
00:10:13 00:10:18 without courses now in about a week that
00:10:15 00:10:20 one took two or three weeks but I map
00:10:18 00:10:22 everything out I film every video myself
00:10:20 00:10:25 there are about 100 videos each and then
00:10:22 00:10:27 I Video Edit every single video and
00:10:25 00:10:29 you're doing this all yourself yes
00:10:27 00:10:31 amazing okay so I haven't seen your
00:10:29 00:10:32 course but is your course like your tik
00:10:31 00:10:35 toks
00:10:32 00:10:38 they're fun but there's words it's not
00:10:35 00:10:42 like just me dancing with the screen
00:10:38 00:10:45 um they're very slow clear informative
00:10:42 00:10:48 um but also fun you know like I teach
00:10:45 00:10:49 functions to wheel of functions like
00:10:48 00:10:51 Wheel of Fortune I designed this whole
00:10:49 00:10:53 like Wheel of Fortune like theme and
00:10:51 00:10:55 then you know I have things like popping
00:10:53 00:10:57 up on the screen like video editing and
00:10:55 00:11:00 like cool things to keep you actually
00:10:57 00:11:03 entertained so I do gym Quick's learning
00:11:00 00:11:05 method which is information plus emotion
00:11:03 00:11:08 equals memory and that emotional piece
00:11:05 00:11:10 is what I find a lot of courses Miss so
00:11:08 00:11:11 I Look to spark an emotion in you
00:11:10 00:11:13 whether it's you know I'll make you
00:11:11 00:11:16 laugh or I'll show you something cool so
00:11:13 00:11:17 it actually helps you form that memory
00:11:16 00:11:18 and that's what's made the courses so
00:11:17 00:11:20 successful
00:11:18 00:11:23 interesting
00:11:20 00:11:25 so I was going to ask you what it takes
00:11:23 00:11:27 to make a viral tiktok but let me
00:11:25 00:11:28 just tell the audience here I mean I'm
00:11:27 00:11:31 toking to you right now face to face
00:11:28 00:11:33 and I can just feel your energy and your
00:11:31 00:11:35 excitement and that's not something
00:11:33 00:11:38 that's easily copied but if you were to
00:11:35 00:11:40 distill your viral tiktok slash real
00:11:38 00:11:42 strategy what would you tell people who
00:11:40 00:11:45 are trying to replicate what you're
00:11:42 00:11:47 doing you got it right there it's all in
00:11:45 00:11:49 the energy so I the way I look at
00:11:47 00:11:51 content it's literally an energy
00:11:49 00:11:52 transmission and someone on the other
00:11:51 00:11:54 side of that phone is going to be
00:11:52 00:11:57 getting your energy transmission so if
00:11:54 00:11:59 you are hyped up in a high frequency and
00:11:57 00:12:02 feeling super confident and authentik
00:11:59 00:12:04 and your content obviously has to you
00:12:02 00:12:05 know not have the classic things that
00:12:04 00:12:07 will make it not go viral like you don't
00:12:05 00:12:08 want words cut off you know you need
00:12:07 00:12:10 your music to match up perfectly like
00:12:08 00:12:13 once you got all the tiknical stuff
00:12:10 00:12:15 down it really comes down to your energy
00:12:13 00:12:17 behind the screen because I want to make
00:12:15 00:12:20 people smile I'm here to light people up
00:12:17 00:12:21 yeah you're learning Excel but I want
00:12:20 00:12:24 you to look look at that video and be
00:12:21 00:12:25 like oh cool or wow this is awesome and
00:12:24 00:12:27 that's what makes people share it so a
00:12:25 00:12:30 big part of it is the energy you put in
00:12:27 00:12:32 like for example it's also when you post
00:12:30 00:12:35 it as well if I'm having a bad day I
00:12:32 00:12:36 will not post because my energy behind
00:12:35 00:12:38 the video it's like if I have any
00:12:36 00:12:41 scarcity or lack or from feeling in a
00:12:38 00:12:43 darker Place one day that is the time I
00:12:41 00:12:44 do not post and then if you know when
00:12:43 00:12:46 you're in a high frequency and things
00:12:44 00:12:49 that's when you post because even like
00:12:46 00:12:51 subtle nuances people can pick up on if
00:12:49 00:12:53 you're not being authentik so you don't
00:12:51 00:12:55 also want to like fake it and get on
00:12:53 00:12:57 there be like huh yeah you know because
00:12:55 00:12:59 people like they can pick up on these
00:12:57 00:13:01 things their subconscious mind like it's
00:12:59 00:13:03 it's slight nuances that they could pick
00:13:01 00:13:05 up on but the other piece that I think
00:13:03 00:13:08 is a really big part of going viral is
00:13:05 00:13:12 having a healthy polarity to it and what
00:13:08 00:13:14 I mean by that is my content for example
00:13:12 00:13:17 I combined two things that traditionally
00:13:14 00:13:19 would never be compact which is Excel
00:13:17 00:13:22 and dancing
00:13:19 00:13:25 and when you combine those things it
00:13:22 00:13:27 Sparks conversation because it's not
00:13:25 00:13:28 just like a regular Excel tip video and
00:13:27 00:13:31 you're like oh Excel I don't use that
00:13:28 00:13:33 swipe people are like what is she doing
00:13:31 00:13:37 and that Sparks comments whether people
00:13:33 00:13:38 love it people hate it it creates the
00:13:37 00:13:40 comments and the comments are what push
00:13:38 00:13:42 it through the algorithm and that's how
00:13:40 00:13:44 I initially got off the ground so it was
00:13:42 00:13:46 like having that polarity to it is what
00:13:44 00:13:49 creates conversation around it is a
00:13:46 00:13:51 really important piece as well so if you
00:13:49 00:13:53 look at your Duds versus the ones that
00:13:51 00:13:55 went totally viral can you kind of look
00:13:53 00:13:57 back on them and
00:13:55 00:13:59 and know what made a partikular video
00:13:57 00:14:02 not work well
00:13:59 00:14:04 yeah I mean I really think anyone said
00:14:02 00:14:06 didn't work as well sometimes it's
00:14:04 00:14:08 actually a little tip behind it if it's
00:14:06 00:14:10 not that extraordinary like looking back
00:14:08 00:14:12 there's always the same few things in
00:14:10 00:14:14 the Excel world that go viral across all
00:14:12 00:14:16 the Excel influencers you know so a big
00:14:14 00:14:19 part of us having the tip and a big part
00:14:16 00:14:21 that I've seen now is like creating a
00:14:19 00:14:23 story around the content too like I'll
00:14:21 00:14:26 play characters so I'll be the boss I'll
00:14:23 00:14:29 be the co-worker then I'm you and I like
00:14:26 00:14:31 flip I switch outfits I do transitions
00:14:29 00:14:33 you know like I I actually get super
00:14:31 00:14:35 creative with the content and like
00:14:33 00:14:38 building kind of a narrative and that
00:14:35 00:14:39 also generates content because for if
00:14:38 00:14:41 you're putting something out where
00:14:39 00:14:43 people can relate to the characters that
00:14:41 00:14:45 you're using that's also generates
00:14:43 00:14:48 comments people like oh my boss did that
00:14:45 00:14:49 or you know like that also people relate
00:14:48 00:14:51 to what you're putting out that's an
00:14:49 00:14:54 added layer between the polarity the
00:14:51 00:14:56 energy and the relation it kind of helps
00:14:54 00:14:58 it helps to fly through the algorithm
00:14:56 00:14:59 you know I know it's hard to just kind
00:14:58 00:15:00 of like break down your past videos
00:14:59 00:15:03 because you're right there's certain
00:15:00 00:15:04 nuances there's body language there's
00:15:03 00:15:06 facial expressions that all make it
00:15:04 00:15:08 difference
00:15:06 00:15:10 how important is the music and the
00:15:08 00:15:13 dancing for you
00:15:10 00:15:15 I mean I'd say for me if the song hits
00:15:13 00:15:16 that also helps a lot of people they're
00:15:15 00:15:19 like oh
00:15:16 00:15:21 that or like you know it's a Vibe It
00:15:19 00:15:23 Like Music adds to the Ambiance of
00:15:21 00:15:25 whatever you're doing you know music
00:15:23 00:15:27 makes you feel good music is a frequency
00:15:25 00:15:30 it raises your vibration so really like
00:15:27 00:15:32 having the right song that hits that
00:15:30 00:15:34 also makes my energy come through better
00:15:32 00:15:36 right if I'm like vibing to a song and
00:15:34 00:15:38 I'm dancing and the music hits and I hit
00:15:36 00:15:40 and I jump in the transition it's like
00:15:38 00:15:42 that's an exciting fun it's like a
00:15:40 00:15:44 concert it's a fun cool thing to watch
00:15:42 00:15:46 you know so I think that's like it
00:15:44 00:15:48 definitely plays a cool role in it first
00:15:46 00:15:49 me just like toking on a screen you
00:15:48 00:15:50 know
00:15:49 00:15:52 all right I know a lot of people are
00:15:50 00:15:55 listening to this and they're going okay
00:15:52 00:15:58 I'm kind of a low energy person
00:15:55 00:16:00 uh I Don't Dance
00:15:58 00:16:01 um I don't think I could pull off what
00:16:00 00:16:03 you're pulling off cat actually I feel
00:16:01 00:16:05 that way I'm like I'm not gonna get on
00:16:03 00:16:07 tiktok and start dancing right
00:16:05 00:16:09 so for the people that are listening
00:16:07 00:16:11 that might not
00:16:09 00:16:13 be like you or have your personality
00:16:11 00:16:17 what would you tell them like you tok a
00:16:13 00:16:18 lot about resonance and magnetism and
00:16:17 00:16:20 like the resin frequency sorry I can't
00:16:18 00:16:23 remember the exact words you use but how
00:16:20 00:16:25 do you how do you establish that yeah so
00:16:23 00:16:28 I think the biggest part is finding
00:16:25 00:16:31 what's authentik to you and what
00:16:28 00:16:33 genuinely lights you up if dancing isn't
00:16:31 00:16:36 what lights you up then do not think
00:16:33 00:16:37 you know for me like I remember making a
00:16:36 00:16:39 list of all the things I love and this
00:16:37 00:16:42 is how I ended up coming up with the
00:16:39 00:16:43 idea like weeks earlier like I had these
00:16:42 00:16:45 kind of thoughts planted around my head
00:16:43 00:16:47 so I was pretty clear on what lit me up
00:16:45 00:16:48 so then by the time the lightning bolt
00:16:47 00:16:51 hit it all just got kind of like
00:16:48 00:16:52 crunched together and really I wrote
00:16:51 00:16:54 down a piece of paper I was like I love
00:16:52 00:16:57 to help people
00:16:54 00:16:59 I love Excel and I love to dance and I'm
00:16:57 00:17:00 like these things don't go together I'm
00:16:59 00:17:03 like what kind of dream job can I make
00:17:00 00:17:04 out of that you know but it just I got
00:17:03 00:17:08 super clear I was like these are the
00:17:04 00:17:10 three things that I love and then I
00:17:08 00:17:12 turned into my account my content and
00:17:10 00:17:14 everything so that I'm lit up oh I'm
00:17:12 00:17:17 doing so really in those cases I would
00:17:14 00:17:18 challenge you to get super clear on what
00:17:17 00:17:21 you love
00:17:18 00:17:25 and even if they seem like they don't go
00:17:21 00:17:27 together just trust in the process and
00:17:25 00:17:28 allowing those ideas to come through of
00:17:27 00:17:31 ways that you can integrate them because
00:17:28 00:17:33 the ideal situation is you want to show
00:17:31 00:17:35 up every day doing what you love you
00:17:33 00:17:36 want to wake up and be like Oh I'm
00:17:35 00:17:39 actually excited to make content because
00:17:36 00:17:40 I love doing all the things involved you
00:17:39 00:17:42 know or oh I'm actually excited to make
00:17:40 00:17:43 this course because it involves all
00:17:42 00:17:45 these things I love you don't want to
00:17:43 00:17:47 wake up every day enough to do a bunch
00:17:45 00:17:49 of stuff you're like oh I hate this you
00:17:47 00:17:50 know that automatikally translates to
00:17:49 00:17:51 your energy so it doesn't necessarily
00:17:50 00:17:54 have to be like a high vibrational like
00:17:51 00:17:57 dancing jumping high energy but if
00:17:54 00:18:00 you're like okay I love video editing in
00:17:57 00:18:02 this partikular style and I love like
00:18:00 00:18:05 Golf and I love this topic like
00:18:02 00:18:06 integrate different things together and
00:18:05 00:18:08 kind of see what you can get through the
00:18:06 00:18:10 creative process what I find amazing is
00:18:08 00:18:13 that your videos started hitting it
00:18:10 00:18:15 right away did you practike or did you
00:18:13 00:18:17 ever take down any of the videos that
00:18:15 00:18:20 you didn't like or you just no no okay
00:18:17 00:18:22 no I still got those old ones up there
00:18:20 00:18:24 like sometimes people scroll all the way
00:18:22 00:18:26 down and they're like dang this is where
00:18:24 00:18:28 again like I cringe some of them like
00:18:26 00:18:29 I'm like oh gosh but you know I leave
00:18:28 00:18:31 them there
00:18:29 00:18:33 because it inspires people and just
00:18:31 00:18:36 shows like my content's obviously gotten
00:18:33 00:18:39 much better than it was in 2020 you know
00:18:36 00:18:41 so like really just learning and how to
00:18:39 00:18:42 edit better it all kind of improved from
00:18:41 00:18:45 there
00:18:42 00:18:47 so uh when you're on a platform like
00:18:45 00:18:49 tiktok it's kind of hard to bring
00:18:47 00:18:51 them to like another platform as you
00:18:49 00:18:53 notike when you try to bring people to
00:18:51 00:18:55 Instagram so how do you actually bring
00:18:53 00:18:56 those people over to your courses in a
00:18:55 00:18:58 different website altogether way to
00:18:56 00:19:01 actually sign up for something
00:18:58 00:19:02 yeah so there's a few different methods
00:19:01 00:19:06 I have
00:19:02 00:19:08 um a freebie in my bio that links to a
00:19:06 00:19:10 five email mailing list that ultimately
00:19:08 00:19:12 sells my course at the end so I kind of
00:19:10 00:19:14 always had that going but the real
00:19:12 00:19:19 conversions that I've had are through
00:19:14 00:19:22 webinars so I throw live fun high energy
00:19:19 00:19:25 Excel parties where I have thousands of
00:19:22 00:19:28 people come on these webinars and I give
00:19:25 00:19:31 away tons of free content like I do a
00:19:28 00:19:34 full 45 minute Excel power pack class
00:19:31 00:19:36 and at the end I give everyone a really
00:19:34 00:19:37 nice offer if they're like whoa I
00:19:36 00:19:40 learned a lot today I like her teaching
00:19:37 00:19:43 Style I want to continue with her I give
00:19:40 00:19:45 them a really great opportunity to keep
00:19:43 00:19:47 doing that and for me like that is how I
00:19:45 00:19:49 reach the six figure days is through
00:19:47 00:19:51 those webinars how do you get the people
00:19:49 00:19:53 on the webinar do you replace your
00:19:51 00:19:55 Lincoln bio on The tiktok to a
00:19:53 00:19:56 webinar sign up or you literally go live
00:19:55 00:19:59 and tiktok and Instagram
00:19:56 00:20:01 so I don't even really go live like ever
00:19:59 00:20:03 it's funny I do um I've done only like a
00:20:01 00:20:05 couple live events on the platforms I
00:20:03 00:20:07 just add like I have a link tree so I
00:20:05 00:20:09 just add like a link in there like hey
00:20:07 00:20:11 here's a webinar I use webinar Jam which
00:20:09 00:20:13 really automates the whole email process
00:20:11 00:20:17 it automates pretty much everything it's
00:20:13 00:20:18 an awesome system and I'll usually make
00:20:17 00:20:20 content around it so what I've been
00:20:18 00:20:22 doing lately is I'll do like a statik
00:20:20 00:20:23 post with all the information on it and
00:20:22 00:20:26 then I'll do a reel and I'll make the
00:20:23 00:20:28 real like a fun dancing like I'll make I
00:20:26 00:20:30 did my last one I did kind of like a
00:20:28 00:20:33 story and then I'll push it on tiktok
00:20:30 00:20:34 Instagram LinkedIn are usually my three
00:20:33 00:20:36 and my mailing lists I have a pretty big
00:20:34 00:20:39 mailing list now
00:20:36 00:20:41 so for the reels though you can't
00:20:39 00:20:42 include links in those right
00:20:41 00:20:45 um so people are just literally going
00:20:42 00:20:47 into your bio and clicking on it in your
00:20:45 00:20:48 link tree and presumably your link tree
00:20:47 00:20:50 has a bunch of links in it too right so
00:20:48 00:20:51 that not only that they have to go
00:20:50 00:20:53 through and pick the workshop Link in
00:20:51 00:20:55 your link tree yeah so I usually keep it
00:20:53 00:20:57 to three so I have my courses I have the
00:20:55 00:20:59 freebie and then if I have a webinar
00:20:57 00:21:00 I'll pop the webinar on there and that's
00:20:59 00:21:01 usually I don't make it like a whole
00:21:00 00:21:03 scrolling thing because I don't really
00:21:01 00:21:05 do like affiliate type stuff I don't
00:21:03 00:21:06 really show anything else besides my own
00:21:05 00:21:08 courses
00:21:06 00:21:11 how often are you putting out these
00:21:08 00:21:14 webinars so at first I was doing them
00:21:11 00:21:17 once a quarter but then I decided I
00:21:14 00:21:19 wanted to buy a house so I started is
00:21:17 00:21:22 this your house that I'm looking at I'm
00:21:19 00:21:23 in an Airbnb right now okay but we I
00:21:22 00:21:25 just started house hunting last week got
00:21:23 00:21:28 the pre-approval for the mortgage so I
00:21:25 00:21:30 was trying to jack it up last year for
00:21:28 00:21:33 the tax returns so I started doing them
00:21:30 00:21:34 once a month and I it's been really
00:21:33 00:21:36 helping people and I've still been
00:21:34 00:21:37 getting like thousands of people to sign
00:21:36 00:21:39 up so I'm like the demand is there so
00:21:37 00:21:41 now I do these once a month I'll do
00:21:39 00:21:43 three per month usually two or three and
00:21:41 00:21:44 I'll make them like a few days apart so
00:21:43 00:21:48 I give people kind of three different
00:21:44 00:21:51 times and I show up live every time
00:21:48 00:21:53 so to so each time do you kind of reset
00:21:51 00:21:55 the email list for the live for the live
00:21:53 00:21:56 webinar do you understand what's saying
00:21:55 00:21:58 like a week before do you try to get
00:21:56 00:22:00 signups or is this sign up thing ongoing
00:21:58 00:22:02 like throughout the month before you do
00:22:00 00:22:05 it's like the week before so I give them
00:22:02 00:22:07 yeah usually 10 days to a week before I
00:22:05 00:22:08 announce it I put it out there because I
00:22:07 00:22:11 don't really know in advance when I'm
00:22:08 00:22:12 doing them so I just kind of like see
00:22:11 00:22:14 where my schedule looks I'm also I've
00:22:12 00:22:16 been a digital Nomad for the last 16
00:22:14 00:22:18 months so every month I travel to a new
00:22:16 00:22:20 state I'm in a new air because my whole
00:22:18 00:22:23 life changes my world changes so it's
00:22:20 00:22:25 you know like I was in Miami in a tiny
00:22:23 00:22:27 condo I wasn't doing webinars you know
00:22:25 00:22:29 versus filming Sedona in a large house I
00:22:27 00:22:31 have the space and the bandwidth so it
00:22:29 00:22:34 really kind of depend on where I was
00:22:31 00:22:35 um where like it fit into my schedule to
00:22:34 00:22:38 do them so I kind of keep them more like
00:22:35 00:22:40 seven to ten days raise the hype around
00:22:38 00:22:42 it all right so let's say it's 10 days
00:22:40 00:22:45 to the webinar you'll do an Instagram
00:22:42 00:22:47 post and then you'll do some sort of fun
00:22:45 00:22:49 reel you'll post that on tiktok
00:22:47 00:22:51 LinkedIn and then
00:22:49 00:22:53 uh for those reels and the tiktoks
00:22:51 00:22:57 are you just instructing people to go to
00:22:53 00:22:58 the Lincoln bio yep okay because I know
00:22:57 00:23:00 that if you even mention like Lincoln
00:22:58 00:23:02 bio or anything in the comments of like
00:23:00 00:23:04 a tiktok poster example the reach
00:23:02 00:23:06 gets lower does that have not happen to
00:23:04 00:23:08 you yeah the reach is probably anytime
00:23:06 00:23:09 I'm promoting something whether
00:23:08 00:23:12 sometimes I'll do like a partnership or
00:23:09 00:23:14 something it's always guys here but I
00:23:12 00:23:16 try to like hide it sometimes in the
00:23:14 00:23:18 actual content sometimes like when I was
00:23:16 00:23:19 doing more of um like Partnerships with
00:23:18 00:23:21 Brands like for example I was doing
00:23:19 00:23:23 something with like a supplement company
00:23:21 00:23:26 and so I put the company's information
00:23:23 00:23:28 into the Excel example like I find
00:23:26 00:23:30 um
00:23:28 00:23:33 because I want every piece of content to
00:23:30 00:23:35 be useful you know so like integrating
00:23:33 00:23:37 that in there so there's ways but
00:23:35 00:23:38 definitely The Reel gets more traction
00:23:37 00:23:41 for me than the post but it definitely
00:23:38 00:23:43 doesn't like go viral usually like my
00:23:41 00:23:44 normal ones uh so what is the price
00:23:43 00:23:47 point for your classes
00:23:44 00:23:50 yeah so my accelerator course my main
00:23:47 00:23:52 Excel one is 297 and then I also built
00:23:50 00:23:54 out the rest of the Microsoft Office
00:23:52 00:23:57 Suite so those range from 297 I have
00:23:54 00:23:59 some at 99 there are many courses you
00:23:57 00:24:01 could get the complete suite for 9.97
00:23:59 00:24:03 that is my highest tiket and then I
00:24:01 00:24:05 also have a Google Sheets course for 297
00:24:03 00:24:08 out too and a kids of course for two uh
00:24:05 00:24:11 I think 497s my kids courses so you're
00:24:08 00:24:13 clearly a Microsoft girl so every every
00:24:11 00:24:15 tool in Microsoft Suite you have a a
00:24:13 00:24:16 course for pretty much I don't have
00:24:15 00:24:19 power bi yet that's one of the ones I
00:24:16 00:24:20 left out but if people I tell them if
00:24:19 00:24:22 they buy the complete Suite when I come
00:24:20 00:24:23 out with it it gets added for them
00:24:22 00:24:24 automatikally because that's what I'm
00:24:23 00:24:27 probably going to make in the next like
00:24:24 00:24:29 few months is it a membership site or is
00:24:27 00:24:31 it just like a unlimited all you can eat
00:24:29 00:24:35 one time you buy the course unlimited
00:24:31 00:24:38 access nice okay so at that price point
00:24:35 00:24:39 if you're doing a hundred thousand in a
00:24:38 00:24:41 day
00:24:39 00:24:43 how many people are on your webinars
00:24:41 00:24:45 uh it depends on which one and if I've
00:24:43 00:24:45 gone viral in between when I've done
00:24:45 00:24:47 them
00:24:45 00:24:49 um sometimes it's like two to three
00:24:47 00:24:50 thousand I've had up to seven thousand
00:24:49 00:24:54 people
00:24:50 00:24:56 wow okay it's 7 000 that show up live
00:24:54 00:24:58 so that's usually who enrolls so maybe
00:24:56 00:25:00 I'll get like three four thousand lives
00:24:58 00:25:03 three points okay that's a lot and of
00:25:00 00:25:05 those on that thousand dollar day that
00:25:03 00:25:09 means yeah that that's a lot of people
00:25:05 00:25:12 signing up like 100 people or or more
00:25:09 00:25:14 okay that's amazing I would love to see
00:25:12 00:25:15 one of your webinars what what offer do
00:25:14 00:25:16 you give them to get them to kind of
00:25:15 00:25:21 sign up now
00:25:16 00:25:23 it's usually a 50 off oh and then I also
00:25:21 00:25:25 include like bonuses for people who buy
00:25:23 00:25:26 while on the webinars that's usually why
00:25:25 00:25:28 people come onto the webinar I give them
00:25:26 00:25:32 a free mini course they buy while on the
00:25:28 00:25:34 webinar ah okay so 50 off so then so
00:25:32 00:25:36 it's literally 500 for your entire Suite
00:25:34 00:25:38 that's a great deal it is because the
00:25:36 00:25:40 for the price of one and a half courses
00:25:38 00:25:43 they get eight so that usually always
00:25:40 00:25:45 sells my highest tiket item so does
00:25:43 00:25:48 that prevent people from buying outside
00:25:45 00:25:50 of your webinar period just curious no
00:25:48 00:25:52 it's I still get regular attraction all
00:25:50 00:25:54 day long and I still have ads being
00:25:52 00:25:56 pushed out too that does full price
00:25:54 00:25:58 stuff but it's really like a select I
00:25:56 00:26:01 have over a million followers across the
00:25:58 00:26:02 platform so a select group actually come
00:26:01 00:26:06 through and like get the email chance
00:26:02 00:26:08 only usually like 5 000 of them
00:26:06 00:26:10 walk me through your email chain so are
00:26:08 00:26:12 you just giving lessons out in this
00:26:10 00:26:15 little mini course that you have yeah so
00:26:12 00:26:16 usually I'll give out a free guide or
00:26:15 00:26:18 mini course and then I kind of tell a
00:26:16 00:26:20 story so the webinar one's a different
00:26:18 00:26:22 chain the webinar one it's essentially
00:26:20 00:26:24 you get like emails leading up to the
00:26:22 00:26:25 webinar reminders and then you get you
00:26:24 00:26:27 know here's the replay link here if you
00:26:25 00:26:29 want to take advantage of the sale all
00:26:27 00:26:32 that and it's a 24-hour window
00:26:29 00:26:34 and then the my normal one is a freebie
00:26:32 00:26:36 it's either a guide or a mini course I
00:26:34 00:26:39 kind of flip-flop them back and forth
00:26:36 00:26:40 um and then I tell them I essentially
00:26:39 00:26:41 explain a little bit more about me why
00:26:40 00:26:43 I'm so passionate about it's kind of
00:26:41 00:26:46 like a five email story I tell a really
00:26:43 00:26:48 cool story in it and then by the fourth
00:26:46 00:26:50 email I give them a discount code and
00:26:48 00:26:53 then by the fifth email it's like last
00:26:50 00:26:55 chance on the discount code nice so for
00:26:53 00:26:56 your regular email series not the
00:26:55 00:26:58 webinar series are all those lessons
00:26:56 00:27:00 video I would imagine
00:26:58 00:27:03 so for the regular email series that
00:27:00 00:27:05 just pushes my course so there's no yeah
00:27:03 00:27:07 there's no training in it it's just like
00:27:05 00:27:09 five years oh got it got it got it okay
00:27:07 00:27:13 cool and then you mentioned ads just now
00:27:09 00:27:16 are you running uh tiktok ads so yeah
00:27:13 00:27:18 Facebook take tok
00:27:16 00:27:20 um I think linkedin's coming out soon so
00:27:18 00:27:21 I have a company that handles all that
00:27:20 00:27:23 so I don't really touch any of that oh
00:27:21 00:27:25 you don't touch it okay uh can you just
00:27:23 00:27:28 give me an idea of what like the uh the
00:27:25 00:27:31 ROI is on on the different platforms
00:27:28 00:27:33 um it's still like ramping up because we
00:27:31 00:27:35 just started out
00:27:33 00:27:37 um I know we're profitable but they've
00:27:35 00:27:38 been still kind of experimenting and
00:27:37 00:27:39 trying to get it right I just started
00:27:38 00:27:40 working with them I'm sure it's
00:27:39 00:27:43 profitable because your cost of goods is
00:27:40 00:27:45 essentially zero right yeah yeah right
00:27:43 00:27:47 so uh let's see on a 500 product I mean
00:27:45 00:27:49 they just you just need to sell one you
00:27:47 00:27:51 can spend 500 bucks that's that's pretty
00:27:49 00:27:54 amazing okay
00:27:51 00:27:56 um are you doing any YouTube shorts
00:27:54 00:27:58 I have not been doing YouTube shorts so
00:27:56 00:28:00 YouTube is the one area that I haven't
00:27:58 00:28:01 really gotten into yet because I mean I
00:28:00 00:28:03 know a lot of the other people in the
00:28:01 00:28:05 Excel space like make money off YouTube
00:28:03 00:28:07 but for me I just kept it all in paid
00:28:05 00:28:09 courses first trying to do the ad spend
00:28:07 00:28:11 and like giving out longer things on
00:28:09 00:28:13 YouTube to try to get the ad money so
00:28:11 00:28:15 for me it made more sense to kind of
00:28:13 00:28:17 like stay more in that space But Never
00:28:15 00:28:19 Say Never I actually I have a YouTube
00:28:17 00:28:21 page um but I just have like a couple of
00:28:19 00:28:23 my ads and then there's people that you
00:28:21 00:28:25 know copy my content and put it on
00:28:23 00:28:27 YouTube so they're there you can't be
00:28:25 00:28:29 copied though so it's again I think they
00:28:27 00:28:31 take my exact videos and oh they take
00:28:29 00:28:33 your exactly yeah with my Watermark and
00:28:31 00:28:36 make their name my name oh yeah oh no
00:28:33 00:28:38 those aren't actually me
00:28:36 00:28:40 but in a way that kind of helps you
00:28:38 00:28:41 right because I mean it's your face and
00:28:40 00:28:44 it's your energy
00:28:41 00:28:46 and it it's almost not so I sell a
00:28:44 00:28:49 course too and the reason why people
00:28:46 00:28:50 sign up isn't always necessarily the
00:28:49 00:28:52 information it's like the fact that they
00:28:50 00:28:54 like the instructor right
00:28:52 00:28:56 and the way you teach in your style
00:28:54 00:28:58 because ultimately like a lot of
00:28:56 00:29:00 information just a commodity and I'm
00:28:58 00:29:01 sure Excel information is a commodity
00:29:00 00:29:03 right it's how you teach it and and
00:29:01 00:29:05 whether you like the person who's
00:29:03 00:29:07 teaching you so no one's going to be
00:29:05 00:29:11 able to copy you
00:29:07 00:29:13 yeah no one can copy you I mean even see
00:29:11 00:29:14 I when we were on the Ashley Banfield
00:29:13 00:29:16 thing I didn't actually it was such a
00:29:14 00:29:18 short segment that I didn't get to see
00:29:16 00:29:20 like your energy in its full form
00:29:18 00:29:22 whereas I on this interview I I totally
00:29:20 00:29:25 am you should be on I think you'll you
00:29:22 00:29:27 would kill it on YouTube it would be
00:29:25 00:29:29 amazing yeah yeah maybe I will I mean I
00:29:27 00:29:31 eventually I'm going to Pivot into more
00:29:29 00:29:33 business coaching and things of that
00:29:31 00:29:35 nature once the Excel is a well-oiled
00:29:33 00:29:37 machine because I've had a lot of people
00:29:35 00:29:38 reaching out being like hey can you show
00:29:37 00:29:41 me how you've built your business online
00:29:38 00:29:43 and things like that so I actually had
00:29:41 00:29:45 the creative download it was a couple
00:29:43 00:29:47 months ago I saw all eight courses I
00:29:45 00:29:48 need to make and like I was literally I
00:29:47 00:29:51 was at the gym and it was my boyfriend
00:29:48 00:29:52 also I'm like oh my gosh I know what I
00:29:51 00:29:54 need to do and I just like sat down and
00:29:52 00:29:56 like wrote down ever like it all just
00:29:54 00:29:58 came down of like the courses and
00:29:56 00:30:00 breaking things down so I still just
00:29:58 00:30:03 need to make them but q1 has been more
00:30:00 00:30:05 so like the business grew so fast so
00:30:03 00:30:07 really just like getting everything
00:30:05 00:30:09 ready to scale
00:30:07 00:30:12 um lots of strategic Partnerships and
00:30:09 00:30:15 cool things coming up I just also hired
00:30:12 00:30:17 my first like more it's a part-time
00:30:15 00:30:19 virtual assistant
00:30:17 00:30:21 um so I hired her literally yesterday
00:30:19 00:30:24 her name is Tita she's amazing and I
00:30:21 00:30:25 also have another like 10 hour a week
00:30:24 00:30:27 virtual assistant over in the
00:30:25 00:30:29 Philippines who was amazing her name is
00:30:27 00:30:31 Jean and she does some of my like
00:30:29 00:30:33 Instagram like statik posts and makes me
00:30:31 00:30:35 play graphics and things when I'm like
00:30:33 00:30:37 for my webinars and stuff
00:30:35 00:30:38 um so I'm really excited to have more
00:30:37 00:30:40 people on board I also just hired my
00:30:38 00:30:43 boyfriend and my mom
00:30:40 00:30:45 so that's been really fun to do like
00:30:43 00:30:47 bookkeeping and my boyfriend is killer
00:30:45 00:30:50 at sales so he's the one who's helped me
00:30:47 00:30:52 like build my whole sales funnel all my
00:30:50 00:30:55 webinar sales pitches I was like not
00:30:52 00:30:57 into sales beforehand and she was like
00:30:55 00:30:59 ranked number one in North America at a
00:30:57 00:31:01 top company so I just brought him in to
00:30:59 00:31:03 like teach me everything
00:31:01 00:31:05 I was that was my next question actually
00:31:03 00:31:06 I mean you just started everything
00:31:05 00:31:08 wrapped up so quickly how did you know
00:31:06 00:31:09 to create the email list all the funnels
00:31:08 00:31:12 and stuff was that was that your
00:31:09 00:31:13 boyfriend's uh it was it was a mix it
00:31:12 00:31:15 was my boyfriend it was like business
00:31:13 00:31:18 coaches I've had like one-off sessions
00:31:15 00:31:21 with a few business coaches a lot of it
00:31:18 00:31:23 though has been intuitive like in terms
00:31:21 00:31:25 like you'd laugh like I don't track
00:31:23 00:31:27 anything like I might
00:31:25 00:31:29 everything like when you're asking me
00:31:27 00:31:31 like rois my whole business has been
00:31:29 00:31:33 scaled and run through my intuition like
00:31:31 00:31:35 I don't sit there and be like oh like
00:31:33 00:31:37 this did this and this like I haven't so
00:31:35 00:31:38 I'm getting a new website built out
00:31:37 00:31:40 right now and they're putting in all the
00:31:38 00:31:42 tracking and all the things for me but
00:31:40 00:31:44 I've brought it thus far with just
00:31:42 00:31:46 purely like I get intuitive hits of what
00:31:44 00:31:48 content to make and I run make it and it
00:31:46 00:31:50 goes viral so I've been just kind of
00:31:48 00:31:52 like in every business decision every
00:31:50 00:31:55 opportunity has been inbound leaded so
00:31:52 00:31:57 every press opportunity every podcast
00:31:55 00:31:59 opportunity every you know like business
00:31:57 00:32:01 deal corporate deals keynote speaking
00:31:59 00:32:04 everything just comes to me I've never
00:32:01 00:32:05 like blast emailed and then I like it's
00:32:04 00:32:07 been a lot so I have to like sit and
00:32:05 00:32:09 like I ask myself intuitively like is
00:32:07 00:32:11 this the right fit in terms of like
00:32:09 00:32:14 being able to navigate what I actually
00:32:11 00:32:15 want to do because I'm very big into not
00:32:14 00:32:17 trading time for money right now I'm
00:32:15 00:32:19 trying to make everything as passive as
00:32:17 00:32:21 possible so really just like being
00:32:19 00:32:24 cognizant of my time
00:32:21 00:32:29 so that begs the question do you use
00:32:24 00:32:30 Excel yeah I still use Excel not as much
00:32:29 00:32:32 as I did in my corporate job my
00:32:30 00:32:34 corporate job I was doing you know 60
00:32:32 00:32:35 hours a week in Excel just like
00:32:34 00:32:38 automating things building things
00:32:35 00:32:40 studying these Financial models
00:32:38 00:32:42 um where right now it's more so teaching
00:32:40 00:32:45 purposes like I use it when I do I do
00:32:42 00:32:47 corporate trainings I do um these but to
00:32:45 00:32:49 manage your finances and like your
00:32:47 00:32:51 performance and stuff do you use it for
00:32:49 00:32:53 that or not for that more so just to
00:32:51 00:32:56 keep myself organized by like ideas and
00:32:53 00:32:58 things like that but I haven't been the
00:32:56 00:33:00 whole thing just kind of like it's it's
00:32:58 00:33:03 so wild I swear the businesses just run
00:33:00 00:33:05 itself like it's been just so easy the
00:33:03 00:33:07 whole thing just scaled so fast I just
00:33:05 00:33:09 like stay in my zone of genius and it
00:33:07 00:33:11 just keeps like growing scaling growing
00:33:09 00:33:12 scaling and I'll get the idea like oh
00:33:11 00:33:14 make a course in this bundle it with
00:33:12 00:33:16 this and I run over and make it and I
00:33:14 00:33:19 whip them out in a week like the whole
00:33:16 00:33:22 thing's been just kind of like a dance
00:33:19 00:33:24 okay so you just mentioned that you
00:33:22 00:33:26 wanted to go into coaching so let's say
00:33:24 00:33:28 I came up to you
00:33:26 00:33:31 how do you teach me your intuition
00:33:28 00:33:34 so biggest things are like really
00:33:31 00:33:35 clearing out any limiting beliefs that
00:33:34 00:33:38 you have that is like the groundwork
00:33:35 00:33:39 right there so really going inward we've
00:33:38 00:33:42 been through meditation through
00:33:39 00:33:44 different prompts getting super clear of
00:33:42 00:33:46 one what's your purpose what you
00:33:44 00:33:48 actually want to do and then two why are
00:33:46 00:33:51 you not doing it so so many people have
00:33:48 00:33:53 these limiting beliefs that hold them in
00:33:51 00:33:54 place but do not realize that the brain
00:33:53 00:33:57 is completely malleable through
00:33:54 00:33:59 neuroplastikity so we are able to
00:33:57 00:34:00 essentially go in and rewire our minds
00:33:59 00:34:03 so you don't have to sit there like oh
00:34:00 00:34:05 like I like for example I was shy with
00:34:03 00:34:07 an anxiety disorder my whole life I
00:34:05 00:34:09 didn't put any attention on me I had a
00:34:07 00:34:11 public speaking disorder and this is
00:34:09 00:34:12 what the entrepreneur artikle coming out
00:34:11 00:34:14 is going to be about my journey with
00:34:12 00:34:18 this but I essentially rewired my mind
00:34:14 00:34:20 and I got myself to a place like this is
00:34:18 00:34:22 hilarious so I started doing this inner
00:34:20 00:34:25 work in March of 2020 hardcore like
00:34:22 00:34:27 every day I was going in and like
00:34:25 00:34:30 listening to binaural noises and prompts
00:34:27 00:34:31 and things putting myself into to more
00:34:30 00:34:33 of a trance like a subconscious state
00:34:31 00:34:35 where my subconscious mind was forward
00:34:33 00:34:37 and going in and reprogramming certain
00:34:35 00:34:40 memories and beliefs that were holding
00:34:37 00:34:42 me in place and then by April I turned
00:34:40 00:34:44 to my mother and was like Mom this is
00:34:42 00:34:45 before Miss Excel even existed like Miss
00:34:44 00:34:47 Excel wasn't even a thought in my mind
00:34:45 00:34:49 until June so I was literally in my
00:34:47 00:34:51 childhood bedroom working my day job
00:34:49 00:34:52 going in my room doing some weird
00:34:51 00:34:55 meditations coming out of my room being
00:34:52 00:34:57 like Mom I'm going to be rich and famous
00:34:55 00:34:59 soon so I need you to prepare your
00:34:57 00:35:01 nervous system for that and she's
00:34:59 00:35:03 cracking up she's like Kathleen go clean
00:35:01 00:35:06 your room but every ounce of my body
00:35:03 00:35:08 knew something massive was coming and I
00:35:06 00:35:11 had been the only one standing in my own
00:35:08 00:35:14 way and once I cleared that out I knew I
00:35:11 00:35:16 was Unstoppable I was like watch me and
00:35:14 00:35:18 I literally had nothing going on and
00:35:16 00:35:21 then the second I went and actually
00:35:18 00:35:23 created something the whole business
00:35:21 00:35:24 just flowed completely inbound leads the
00:35:23 00:35:26 whole thing because I was fully in my
00:35:24 00:35:28 authentik worth and I had nothing
00:35:26 00:35:30 holding me back like people who were
00:35:28 00:35:32 like why are you spending you know 100
00:35:30 00:35:34 hour weeks like when I saw a day job I
00:35:32 00:35:36 was booking it like I was still working
00:35:34 00:35:38 the side Hustle the day job and Miss
00:35:36 00:35:40 excel at the same time and people were
00:35:38 00:35:42 like why are you working 100 hour weeks
00:35:40 00:35:46 out of your childhood bedroom and I was
00:35:42 00:35:48 like if you knew with 100 certainty that
00:35:46 00:35:51 if you did XYZ you would have everything
00:35:48 00:35:53 you ever wanted would you do it or would
00:35:51 00:35:56 you sit there and that is where I like
00:35:53 00:35:59 was with everything I was so sure of
00:35:56 00:36:00 myself and taking that bet on me that
00:35:59 00:36:03 nothing else mattered I was like I'm
00:36:00 00:36:06 going in so getting yourself to that
00:36:03 00:36:08 place where it's just like pure and then
00:36:06 00:36:11 learning how to tap into your creativity
00:36:08 00:36:13 is another whole fun part of like for me
00:36:11 00:36:15 I learned that leaving the space has
00:36:13 00:36:16 been huge where so many people like in
00:36:15 00:36:18 corporate for example would be like
00:36:16 00:36:20 let's book a 30 minute calendar block
00:36:18 00:36:22 for a brainstorming session if you just
00:36:20 00:36:25 came off a bunch of meetings you're like
00:36:22 00:36:26 lit up with a ton of iced coffee and you
00:36:25 00:36:29 just like well that a bunch of emails
00:36:26 00:36:31 we're not in a creative flowy state you
00:36:29 00:36:33 are in it's called masculine energy
00:36:31 00:36:34 there's masculine feminine energy and
00:36:33 00:36:36 feminine energy so it's not necessarily
00:36:34 00:36:39 like male female it's two different
00:36:36 00:36:41 energy types and masculine is like go go
00:36:39 00:36:44 go to-do list cranking through things
00:36:41 00:36:48 like executing and The Feminine energy
00:36:44 00:36:51 is more flowy receiving energy like on
00:36:48 00:36:52 my feminine energy days I don't work and
00:36:51 00:36:54 I make the most money on the days I
00:36:52 00:36:56 don't work so everything I do pretty
00:36:54 00:36:57 much now is passive income so like I've
00:36:56 00:36:58 been able to kind of see like on the
00:36:57 00:37:01 days I don't work when I'm out in nature
00:36:58 00:37:03 doing yoga going for a hike getting
00:37:01 00:37:05 super flowy and then I'll sit down and
00:37:03 00:37:07 just all these ideas come out and
00:37:05 00:37:09 leaving the space for that is a really
00:37:07 00:37:11 big part and then learning how to
00:37:09 00:37:13 essentially stay in that flow state was
00:37:11 00:37:15 another thing that I studied like that
00:37:13 00:37:16 was my biggest if people ask like my
00:37:15 00:37:18 challenge with the business really the
00:37:16 00:37:21 only challenge I had was like learning
00:37:18 00:37:23 how to optimize myself so I can hold all
00:37:21 00:37:25 the abundance that was coming through so
00:37:23 00:37:27 it's a lot when people for example I've
00:37:25 00:37:29 gone like fire on the internet but I've
00:37:27 00:37:31 also gone viral in the media and had
00:37:29 00:37:33 artikles go completely Global and like
00:37:31 00:37:35 Forbes entrepreneur or Daily Mail
00:37:33 00:37:37 Business Insider like things just
00:37:35 00:37:39 blasting off and when there's a lot of
00:37:37 00:37:41 people thinking about you even if you're
00:37:39 00:37:42 not like there like I don't even read
00:37:41 00:37:44 all the comments like I was going viral
00:37:42 00:37:46 on Twitter like I wasn't going through
00:37:44 00:37:48 everybody you know but like when there's
00:37:46 00:37:50 that much attention on you even from an
00:37:48 00:37:52 energetik perspective it's a lot for
00:37:50 00:37:55 your body so really like getting myself
00:37:52 00:37:57 to a place where I can hold on it always
00:37:55 00:37:59 just reflected in the business so really
00:37:57 00:38:01 just like teaching people how to do the
00:37:59 00:38:03 work on themselves to get themselves to
00:38:01 00:38:05 the place where they're like okay we can
00:38:03 00:38:07 just like whale out right now and just
00:38:05 00:38:08 bring in all the opportunities the
00:38:07 00:38:09 abundance and then knowing how to
00:38:08 00:38:13 navigate them
00:38:09 00:38:14 so you said a lot in the beginning
00:38:13 00:38:16 um I don't even remember what the terms
00:38:14 00:38:18 you use binaural beats or something like
00:38:16 00:38:20 can you just kind of walk me through
00:38:18 00:38:22 that process for you I mean it sounds
00:38:20 00:38:25 like that a huge effect on you right
00:38:22 00:38:28 yeah so call my Trifecta with what I did
00:38:25 00:38:31 okay so I first read the book breaking
00:38:28 00:38:33 the habit of Being Yourself by doctors
00:38:31 00:38:35 Rose fenza is one of the leading
00:38:33 00:38:39 researchers in the space of essentially
00:38:35 00:38:41 making the mystikal on mystikal he backs
00:38:39 00:38:43 it with science so if you're like
00:38:41 00:38:47 meditation seems woo-woo you know
00:38:43 00:38:49 manifestation seems woo-woo like what I
00:38:47 00:38:51 needed that personally like for my
00:38:49 00:38:53 conscious mind to get on board with all
00:38:51 00:38:54 this so that was the first thing I did
00:38:53 00:38:55 because I mean people were telling me
00:38:54 00:38:58 you know think positive good things will
00:38:55 00:39:01 happen and I'm like okay you know but I
00:38:58 00:39:03 I'm Excel now I'm a nerd here I'm like a
00:39:01 00:39:06 geek in the numbers I'm like I need some
00:39:03 00:39:08 science I need some contracts so I read
00:39:06 00:39:10 that book was beyond inspired changed my
00:39:08 00:39:12 life after the first hundred pages I
00:39:10 00:39:15 just never looked at the world the same
00:39:12 00:39:17 then I did Lacey Phillips has a program
00:39:15 00:39:19 called 2B magnetik there's a bunch of
00:39:17 00:39:20 different modalities out there for these
00:39:19 00:39:23 types of things but hers worked really
00:39:20 00:39:25 well for me and it's essentially a
00:39:23 00:39:28 structured way to reprogram limiting
00:39:25 00:39:30 beliefs so you get kind of into a
00:39:28 00:39:31 hypnotik State you listen to uh they're
00:39:30 00:39:33 like these 20-minute little meditations
00:39:31 00:39:35 there's binaural noises there's
00:39:33 00:39:37 different things that essentially bring
00:39:35 00:39:39 your subconscious mind forward so think
00:39:37 00:39:41 about if you go to therapy right if you
00:39:39 00:39:43 go to a therapy session you're the
00:39:41 00:39:46 therapist is asking you questions like
00:39:43 00:39:47 trying to get through the layers that
00:39:46 00:39:49 you essentially have you have like
00:39:47 00:39:53 barriers your subconscious is like don't
00:39:49 00:39:55 come in here this is you know 95 of what
00:39:53 00:39:56 we do runs on programming and automatik
00:39:55 00:39:58 programs and it's like don't come in
00:39:56 00:40:00 here this is what we do you know and
00:39:58 00:40:02 they have to ask and drill and drill and
00:40:00 00:40:04 drill with these tikniques you
00:40:02 00:40:06 essentially go out for 20 minutes and
00:40:04 00:40:08 your subconscious pops forward because
00:40:06 00:40:10 you're in this parasympathetik nervous
00:40:08 00:40:12 system State and essentially what
00:40:10 00:40:14 happens is she then prompts you to bring
00:40:12 00:40:15 up memories and you'll start thinking of
00:40:14 00:40:16 things from your childhood that you're
00:40:15 00:40:18 like whoa I have not thought of that
00:40:16 00:40:21 ever but essentially you can see these
00:40:18 00:40:23 limiting beliefs as they pop up and show
00:40:21 00:40:25 your subconscious there could have been
00:40:23 00:40:28 another way to neutralize the
00:40:25 00:40:32 electromagnetik chart of the memories so
00:40:28 00:40:34 for example this is a good one so in
00:40:32 00:40:36 kindergarten I wrote my yearbook that I
00:40:34 00:40:38 wanted to be a rock star
00:40:36 00:40:39 and in first grade I added to my
00:40:38 00:40:41 microphone and I was seeing in front of
00:40:39 00:40:43 my parents and they're like Kathleen
00:40:41 00:40:46 you're great at a lot of things but you
00:40:43 00:40:48 can't sing little me took that as you
00:40:46 00:40:49 are not worthy of being on the stage
00:40:48 00:40:51 right like I I don't think it was
00:40:49 00:40:53 necessarily being the singer like as
00:40:51 00:40:55 motivational speaking wasn't a thing to
00:40:53 00:40:56 my kindergarten mind you know but it was
00:40:55 00:40:59 being the one on the stage I had always
00:40:56 00:41:00 seen that for myself age zero to seven
00:40:59 00:41:03 we don't have critikal thinking skills
00:41:00 00:41:06 yet so things that happen are much more
00:41:03 00:41:07 dramatik and form the conditioning that
00:41:06 00:41:10 then goes out and manifests into our
00:41:07 00:41:13 day-to-day so what your brain tries to
00:41:10 00:41:14 do is find things through your retikular
00:41:13 00:41:17 activating system so it's essentially
00:41:14 00:41:18 your brain's filter find things that
00:41:17 00:41:20 match your beliefs so it's going to find
00:41:18 00:41:22 things that it's like I'm right I'm
00:41:20 00:41:24 right I'm right so what group of friends
00:41:22 00:41:27 do I call in in Middle School the drama
00:41:24 00:41:29 Cadets where I was the one friend in the
00:41:27 00:41:32 audience and they were all on the stage
00:41:29 00:41:34 further reaffirming this idea that I'm
00:41:32 00:41:36 not worthy of being on stage then it
00:41:34 00:41:38 turns into whole anxiety disorder public
00:41:36 00:41:39 speaking disorder by high school I turn
00:41:38 00:41:42 bright red I don't even raise my hand I
00:41:39 00:41:44 wouldn't want any attention on me and
00:41:42 00:41:46 really just learning about myself and
00:41:44 00:41:49 getting down to like whoa this is where
00:41:46 00:41:51 this thought formed and reprogramming
00:41:49 00:41:53 that is what allowed me to without dance
00:41:51 00:41:55 moves on tiktoks left functions and
00:41:53 00:41:58 just run around the internet
00:41:55 00:42:00 interesting so so the term I call that
00:41:58 00:42:02 is baggage I have a lot of baggage too
00:42:00 00:42:03 right from childhood and that needs to
00:42:02 00:42:05 be overcome so how did you actually
00:42:03 00:42:06 overcome that speech part like what were
00:42:05 00:42:09 the exercises that you did I'm just
00:42:06 00:42:11 curious yeah so first part like this
00:42:09 00:42:14 that's something I started kind of
00:42:11 00:42:16 working on really in college and in
00:42:14 00:42:20 college I put myself into the leadership
00:42:16 00:42:22 Consulting major which was forcing me to
00:42:20 00:42:24 get up and present I never forget I was
00:42:22 00:42:26 terrified I had to present for 10
00:42:24 00:42:28 minutes on a topic with no notes no
00:42:26 00:42:30 nothing on a future tiknology in front
00:42:28 00:42:32 of a whole class and like doing things
00:42:30 00:42:34 like that like really started pushing me
00:42:32 00:42:35 out of my comfort zone more to expand
00:42:34 00:42:37 that space because every time you do
00:42:35 00:42:38 something your brain's like oh you can
00:42:37 00:42:40 do that maybe we'll go a little further
00:42:38 00:42:42 a little further so I had that kind of
00:42:40 00:42:45 going at first and then when I went in
00:42:42 00:42:47 and started doing this reprogramming is
00:42:45 00:42:49 really where I started pulling those
00:42:47 00:42:52 beliefs out so then I was at a spot
00:42:49 00:42:53 where I'm like whoa I'm worthy of
00:42:52 00:42:56 whatever I want now what am I gonna go
00:42:53 00:42:59 do so that and then I also do Kundalini
00:42:56 00:43:01 Yoga which is essentially a different
00:42:59 00:43:03 type of meditation where a lot of people
00:43:01 00:43:05 struggle with meditations they're like I
00:43:03 00:43:07 can't sit there and clear my mind clear
00:43:05 00:43:09 my thoughts say oh you know like people
00:43:07 00:43:10 meditation gets a better rap sometimes
00:43:09 00:43:13 because people can't resonate with that
00:43:10 00:43:15 partikular style so really finding a
00:43:13 00:43:18 style of meditation that works for you
00:43:15 00:43:19 is massive like meditation isn't the
00:43:18 00:43:21 occasional bubble bath you give your
00:43:19 00:43:24 brain meditation is daily mental hygiene
00:43:21 00:43:26 and so many people don't do that and
00:43:24 00:43:28 essentially when you meditate it helps
00:43:26 00:43:30 turn on the right side of the brain
00:43:28 00:43:32 which is the creative side the left side
00:43:30 00:43:35 is more of the structure and the
00:43:32 00:43:36 analytiks and really being able to go in
00:43:35 00:43:39 and balance those more and not be 90
00:43:36 00:43:42 structure and 10 creative and finding
00:43:39 00:43:43 that 50 50 balance is what allows you to
00:43:42 00:43:46 adapt and think on your feet and then
00:43:43 00:43:47 tap more into that creative Flow State
00:43:46 00:43:49 so it's interesting like I don't
00:43:47 00:43:51 meditate I have had problems doing it
00:43:49 00:43:54 but and you can tell me this is similar
00:43:51 00:43:55 when I go running and I get into this
00:43:54 00:43:57 weird runner's high state
00:43:55 00:44:00 where I actually think of a whole bunch
00:43:57 00:44:02 of things and that's what works for me
00:44:00 00:44:05 so it sounds like if I can summarize
00:44:02 00:44:07 what you just said is you put yourself
00:44:05 00:44:10 out there and got outside of your
00:44:07 00:44:12 comfort zone and then slowly by slowly
00:44:10 00:44:14 you started developing confidence in
00:44:12 00:44:15 yourself and it was a gradual process
00:44:14 00:44:16 but you just kind of kept pushing it
00:44:15 00:44:18 further and further and further until
00:44:16 00:44:21 you are the Miss Excel that you are
00:44:18 00:44:23 today yeah and really just taking that
00:44:21 00:44:24 time most like I never did work on
00:44:23 00:44:27 myself
00:44:24 00:44:30 until really I was in my like mid-20s
00:44:27 00:44:31 and that's a narrative I kind of want to
00:44:30 00:44:33 read write in the collective because
00:44:31 00:44:34 it's people don't tell you to do these
00:44:33 00:44:37 things you know like most people don't
00:44:34 00:44:38 realize like you need to do things every
00:44:37 00:44:40 single day that make yourself a little
00:44:38 00:44:43 bit better you know I had never been
00:44:40 00:44:45 taught to do work on myself and to
00:44:43 00:44:47 analyze myself and to journal and to
00:44:45 00:44:49 figure out why I am the way I am and
00:44:47 00:44:51 decide if that's actually how I want to
00:44:49 00:44:53 be or not you know and like
00:44:51 00:44:55 understanding that I'm not locked into
00:44:53 00:44:57 any beliefs that I have like I can go in
00:44:55 00:44:58 and change anything I want to and be the
00:44:57 00:45:00 person I've always dreamed of being and
00:44:58 00:45:02 just doing things to get myself there
00:45:00 00:45:05 you know it's funny um this whole
00:45:02 00:45:06 conversation just kind of ties in to the
00:45:05 00:45:08 students in my class I've notiked that
00:45:06 00:45:10 there's always a subset of students that
00:45:08 00:45:12 sign up and they don't do anything
00:45:10 00:45:16 or they don't get started and it's
00:45:12 00:45:17 always a mindset issue right they're
00:45:16 00:45:18 afraid that if they launch something and
00:45:17 00:45:21 spend all this time that it's going to
00:45:18 00:45:23 fail and then a lot of the time is
00:45:21 00:45:25 actually convincing people that it's
00:45:23 00:45:27 possible right it's all about getting
00:45:25 00:45:29 that first sale which then gets them
00:45:27 00:45:30 excited and then they're so excited to
00:45:29 00:45:33 follow through but getting that first
00:45:30 00:45:35 step is actually very difficult
00:45:33 00:45:36 so I will start recommending those books
00:45:35 00:45:39 well I'm going to read those first
00:45:36 00:45:40 myself and then um if it worked for you
00:45:39 00:45:42 and if I like it yeah it sounds like
00:45:40 00:45:44 it's a great way to overcome mindset
00:45:42 00:45:46 issues yeah absolutely mindset is
00:45:44 00:45:47 everything it's the root of everything I
00:45:46 00:45:49 think it is a huge part of
00:45:47 00:45:51 Entrepreneurship that's often overlooked
00:45:49 00:45:53 like it's not always about the scaling
00:45:51 00:45:55 the systems that all that stuff it's
00:45:53 00:45:56 working on yourself because no matter
00:45:55 00:45:58 what you do if like you have all the
00:45:56 00:46:00 things in place but then you're blocking
00:45:58 00:46:02 yourself energetikally not as much is
00:46:00 00:46:05 going to come through your filter
00:46:02 00:46:07 as if you're completely opened up
00:46:05 00:46:11 and then in terms of just like the tik
00:46:07 00:46:13 toks and the videos that you make
00:46:11 00:46:15 if you're if you're not if you haven't
00:46:13 00:46:16 worked on yourself and you're trying to
00:46:15 00:46:19 do this
00:46:16 00:46:20 are you just destined to fail I mean do
00:46:19 00:46:23 you do you have to tell yourself like I
00:46:20 00:46:25 need to tap into what into my creative
00:46:23 00:46:26 self and just
00:46:25 00:46:27 just tap into my energy to make these
00:46:26 00:46:29 successful
00:46:27 00:46:31 I mean it kind of depends on where you
00:46:29 00:46:33 are in the journey everyone's kind of a
00:46:31 00:46:35 different spot I was in a spot where I
00:46:33 00:46:37 hated any attention on me so there's no
00:46:35 00:46:39 way I would have even put myself on tik
00:46:37 00:46:41 tok let alone come across the way I
00:46:39 00:46:42 want to come across right fully
00:46:41 00:46:44 authentik and magnetik state where
00:46:42 00:46:46 people look at my content I have people
00:46:44 00:46:48 that follow me that don't even use Excel
00:46:46 00:46:49 they just like my energy you know and
00:46:48 00:46:51 they're like I watch your stuff and it
00:46:49 00:46:52 makes me smile and I'm like hey good
00:46:51 00:46:54 music like I have people that literally
00:46:52 00:46:56 don't even care about Excel that follow
00:46:54 00:46:58 me so it's really just you know getting
00:46:56 00:47:01 yourself to that place where you know
00:46:58 00:47:03 your content's awesome and you know that
00:47:01 00:47:06 you deserve everything that's going to
00:47:03 00:47:08 come your way and you can accept that
00:47:06 00:47:10 let me ask you this just to kind of
00:47:08 00:47:12 conclude the interview do all the little
00:47:10 00:47:14 tips and tactiks about tiktok really
00:47:12 00:47:16 matter that much like hashtags when you
00:47:14 00:47:19 post and all that stuff I mean do pay
00:47:16 00:47:21 attention Okay I I energy overrides the
00:47:19 00:47:23 algorithm I think that's the fastest way
00:47:21 00:47:25 to get where you're trying to go because
00:47:23 00:47:27 yeah you can follow all the rules but if
00:47:25 00:47:29 your content's not there if you look
00:47:27 00:47:31 tired if you're just like Ugg and people
00:47:29 00:47:33 can tell it's not going to blow up even
00:47:31 00:47:34 if you use the right hashtags and all
00:47:33 00:47:36 the things and I usually break all the
00:47:34 00:47:37 rules you know I don't really everyone's
00:47:36 00:47:39 like you're supposed to post every day
00:47:37 00:47:41 and like twice a day I post maybe like
00:47:39 00:47:43 once or twice a week you know and I know
00:47:41 00:47:46 when things are going to go viral and
00:47:43 00:47:47 things so it's really just like finding
00:47:46 00:47:49 your own style and what lights you up
00:47:47 00:47:51 and posting every day lights you up and
00:47:49 00:47:53 yes I have so much to say then go for it
00:47:51 00:47:56 but if posting every day means you being
00:47:53 00:47:58 like Oh my God I have to do this like
00:47:56 00:48:01 scarcity mindset if I don't do this this
00:47:58 00:48:03 is gonna happen like just operating from
00:48:01 00:48:04 that frequency scarcity is the opposite
00:48:03 00:48:07 of abundance
00:48:04 00:48:08 it's the opposite of abundance so if
00:48:07 00:48:09 you're operating in scarcity the
00:48:08 00:48:11 abundance is not going to come through
00:48:09 00:48:13 so I just flip the narrative and I'm
00:48:11 00:48:15 like when I show up things are going to
00:48:13 00:48:18 work for me and just having that mindset
00:48:15 00:48:19 and then things just fall into place and
00:48:18 00:48:22 that's another way of saying quality
00:48:19 00:48:23 over quantity right oh yeah yeah
00:48:22 00:48:25 each of my tiktoks take me like an
00:48:23 00:48:27 hour or two like I will sit there and
00:48:25 00:48:29 edit them over and over for a 15 second
00:48:27 00:48:32 tiktok to get them metikulously the
00:48:29 00:48:35 exact way I want them wow okay
00:48:32 00:48:37 and so right now frequency wise you're
00:48:35 00:48:39 just posting a couple a week yeah really
00:48:37 00:48:41 when I feel called to like if I you know
00:48:39 00:48:42 like if all sudden I got like 20 amazing
00:48:41 00:48:43 ideas and I just filmed I'm like okay I
00:48:42 00:48:45 know I want to show them this and that
00:48:43 00:48:47 you know I get excited and I'll post
00:48:45 00:48:48 more or sometimes you know if I have
00:48:47 00:48:49 other things going on you know for
00:48:48 00:48:51 example right now I'm in the middle of
00:48:49 00:48:53 house hunting and running around you
00:48:51 00:48:55 know I'm not like down on myself like oh
00:48:53 00:48:57 I haven't posted in five days you know
00:48:55 00:49:00 it is what it is
00:48:57 00:49:01 love it cat love it I I did enjoy
00:49:00 00:49:04 chatting with you and just in case
00:49:01 00:49:08 anyone's listening go check out her tik
00:49:04 00:49:11 tok uh I personally find Excel or I
00:49:08 00:49:12 found Excel boring until I found you and
00:49:11 00:49:16 you're right I'm actually my wife's
00:49:12 00:49:17 really into Excel but for me uh you know
00:49:16 00:49:20 I'm not interested but I find myself
00:49:17 00:49:24 just watching you because it's you just
00:49:20 00:49:26 have to watch it's funny and yeah and
00:49:24 00:49:28 then sometimes like
00:49:26 00:49:29 you act really dorky but it actually
00:49:28 00:49:32 makes me laugh you know what I'm saying
00:49:29 00:49:33 I play characters exactly exactly it's
00:49:32 00:49:35 great
