00:01:19 00:01:23 again this is an incredibly competitive
00:01:20 00:01:24 business to business niche now let me
00:01:23 00:01:26 show you something different this is our
00:01:24 00:01:28 e-commerce website laces out dotnet you
00:01:26 00:01:30 probably see me chatting about it online
00:01:28 00:01:33 we launched in February it was doing 60
00:01:30 00:01:36 organic pages the first month now it's
00:01:33 00:01:38 doing almost 185 thousand page views
00:01:36 00:01:39 from organic traffic so that's now I
00:01:38 00:01:41 just wanted to get your attention and
00:01:39 00:01:43 the reason I wanted to do that because
00:01:41 00:01:46 honestly like I need you to know that
00:01:43 00:01:48 when you pay us your money is safe we
00:01:46 00:01:50 are the best in the world at what we do
00:01:48 00:01:52 I am overly confident but it's a fact
00:01:50 00:01:54 and it's not so much because we have the
00:01:52 00:01:56 best tactiks I'll be honest with you I
00:01:54 00:01:58 learned everything that I know about SEO
00:01:56 00:02:00 from YouTube it's all out there you can
00:01:58 00:02:02 do it for free what really matters is
00:02:00 00:02:05 the execution being able to take what
00:02:02 00:02:08 you know and execute it at a very fast
00:02:05 00:02:10 high level consistently that's why you
00:02:08 00:02:12 need a framework and that's what I'm
00:02:10 00:02:13 gonna show you right now so just so you
00:02:12 00:02:15 know I'm gonna break down
00:02:13 00:02:17 the four buckets that we have in our
00:02:15 00:02:19 framework it's learning planning
00:02:17 00:02:21 adjustment and growth and this is

00:02:23 00:02:28 say publicly is actually what we do for
00:02:26 00:02:30 clients it's crazy I know right it's
00:02:28 00:02:32 absolutely insane that people people do

00:02:32 00:02:36 because I know I know how SEO agencies
00:02:35 00:02:38 are I know what they're telling you and
00:02:36 00:02:39 I know that you know because ninety
00:02:38 00:02:40 percent of our clients come from from

00:02:40 00:02:44 the day and to do that just stuff some

00:02:58 00:03:02 unique you've got your own special
00:03:01 00:03:04 industry you've got your own competitors
00:03:02 00:03:05 everything is unique and we need to know
00:03:04 00:03:07 as much as possible about that so it all
00:03:05 00:03:09 starts by giving you a shared Google
00:03:07 00:03:10 Drive folder this is where we have all
00:03:09 00:03:12 of our clients everything is open
00:03:10 00:03:15 everything is shared we are not here to
00:03:12 00:03:16 hide anything from you and we start with
00:03:15 00:03:18 the deliverables template so you can see

00:03:51 00:03:55 platform you use tag manager I make sure
00:03:53 00:03:56 that everything is firing properly so
00:03:55 00:03:58 that we can track what we're doing then
00:03:56 00:04:01 we go into an industry landscape and I
00:03:58 00:04:02 use tools like SCM rush age reps your
00:04:01 00:04:04 questionnaire and I really look at
00:04:02 00:04:05 what's working in your industry what are
00:04:04 00:04:07 your competitors doing what are the top
00:04:05 00:04:09 websites doing what are the top media
00:04:07 00:04:11 sites all of that fun stuff and then
00:04:09 00:04:12 while that's going on I have who I think
00:04:11 00:04:15 is the best tiknical US in the world
00:04:12 00:04:17 running a tiknical SEO audit this is an
00:04:15 00:04:19 example from a very big website and
00:04:17 00:04:22 honestly you are not going to find a
00:04:19 00:04:24 better tiknical audit anywhere this is
00:04:22 00:04:27 37 pages I mean it gets down into the
00:04:24 00:04:29 nitty-gritty of everything on your web
00:04:27 00:04:32 everything that we need to fix again
00:04:29 00:04:33 this was run for a Fortune 100 brand so
00:04:32 00:04:35 we're capable of doing this for very big
00:04:33 00:04:37 websites if you have a smaller website
00:04:35 00:04:38 we don't go through this much trouble
00:04:37 00:04:39 but we still do a tiknical audit
00:04:38 00:04:41 because we need to make sure that
00:04:39 00:04:43 everything is running smoothly
00:04:41 00:04:44 before we start hitting with links and
00:04:43 00:04:45 content really start promoting it across
00:04:44 00:04:49 the web we need to make sure that it's
00:04:45 00:04:50 running at top performance after that we
00:04:49 00:04:52 do a competitive research and this is
00:04:50 00:04:53 pretty straightforward just take three
00:04:52 00:04:55 or four your top competitors when we run
00:04:53 00:04:56 them through a series of checks and we
00:04:55 00:04:57 need to understand what they are doing
00:04:56 00:05:00 are they creating content are they
00:04:57 00:05:02 killing it on YouTube Instagram where
00:05:00 00:05:03 are they getting the links from what
00:05:02 00:05:06 type of keywords that I targeting we'll
00:05:03 00:05:07 figure these things out and then we can
00:05:06 00:05:09 move into the next part of the process
00:05:07 00:05:11 which is planning and this is really we
00:05:09 00:05:12 start to take all of our learnings we
00:05:11 00:05:14 take your industry would take everything
00:05:12 00:05:17 from the previous stage and we start
00:05:14 00:05:19 building out a very strategic plan again
00:05:17 00:05:21 because while this is a framework we
00:05:19 00:05:23 need to do it custom to your brand in
00:05:21 00:05:25 your industry and you can't do that
00:05:23 00:05:27 without having a strategic way ahead and
00:05:25 00:05:29 this is what so many people skip over
00:05:27 00:05:31 because they're just lazy but you need a
00:05:29 00:05:33 custom SEO strategy to really dictate
00:05:31 00:05:35 the life of the campaign so we do a
00:05:33 00:05:37 number of things here this is the
00:05:35 00:05:38 biggest planning stage that we have we
00:05:37 00:05:40 do something called keyword opportunity
00:05:38 00:05:42 mapping basically want to show you that
00:05:40 00:05:44 right now we'll do a couple of things
00:05:42 00:05:46 we'll look at the keywords that you're
00:05:44 00:05:48 currently ranking for we'll look at your
00:05:46 00:05:50 competitors keywords and we will map
00:05:48 00:05:52 those to the right pages on your website
00:05:50 00:05:54 we break that down into two buckets it's
00:05:52 00:05:57 either purchase intent so it'll go on
00:05:54 00:06:00 services pages ecommerce pages or it's a
00:05:57 00:06:01 little bit more I might as well just
00:06:00 00:06:03 show you the content funnel now so we
00:06:01 00:06:04 take we take a funnel approach to
00:06:03 00:06:06 content there's four steps in that
00:06:04 00:06:09 there's viral discover considering
00:06:06 00:06:10 customers so basically if it doesn't go
00:06:09 00:06:13 into the purchase type keyword so like
00:06:10 00:06:15 buy shoelaces now then it's gonna be
00:06:13 00:06:17 it's still good traffic that we want to
00:06:15 00:06:19 capture but we've got to capture it
00:06:17 00:06:20 through content so blog content
00:06:19 00:06:24 resources videos whatever that may be
00:06:20 00:06:26 and then within those content type
00:06:24 00:06:27 keywords we break them down into four
00:06:26 00:06:29 stages in a Content funnel so top of the
00:06:27 00:06:32 funnel viral discover considering their
00:06:29 00:06:34 customer and we map within that content
00:06:32 00:06:35 keywords to these four journey stages
00:06:34 00:06:37 and I'm gonna show you that in a minute
00:06:35 00:06:39 - pretty cool stuff
00:06:37 00:06:40 you know our clients going
00:06:39 00:06:42 benefit of it but I'll show you that in
00:06:40 00:06:45 one second - we also do a competitor
00:06:42 00:06:47 link on it and we map those links to
00:06:45 00:06:49 where they should be on your website so
00:06:47 00:06:52 what that means is we set targets on
00:06:49 00:06:54 your website so what are the pages on
00:06:52 00:06:56 your website that are the most pressing
00:06:54 00:06:58 for links because what we try and do is
00:06:56 00:07:01 we find what we call low-hanging fruits
00:06:58 00:07:04 we find pages that are ranking between 5
00:07:01 00:07:05 and 20 and we know that search engines
00:07:04 00:07:06 already like those pages so we might as
00:07:05 00:07:08 well hit them with some links and see if
00:07:06 00:07:09 we can punch them up right away that's
00:07:08 00:07:11 the whole goal this is to get
00:07:09 00:07:13 low-hanging fruit traffic as soon as
00:07:11 00:07:15 possible so that's what we Matt links to
00:07:13 00:07:17 everything that we do is map
00:07:15 00:07:18 strategically so we're not wasting time
00:07:17 00:07:19 and we're getting things going as
00:07:18 00:07:21 quickly as possible
00:07:19 00:07:22 I skipped over this but we also create
00:07:21 00:07:24 audience personas and let me show you
00:07:22 00:07:26 what one of these looks like so this is
00:07:24 00:07:28 one for a client of ours it's very
00:07:26 00:07:30 important to do this because this is not
00:07:28 00:07:32 only for content creation but this is
00:07:30 00:07:34 for link outreach this is for social
00:07:32 00:07:36 presence this is for everything I mean
00:07:34 00:07:38 so many websites they try and tok to
00:07:36 00:07:40 everybody you want to focus in on that
00:07:38 00:07:41 one or two people and literally give
00:07:40 00:07:42 them a name so this one's called young
00:07:41 00:07:45 and in love you can see it's very
00:07:42 00:07:47 targeted and what this allows us to do
00:07:45 00:07:49 is hyper focus our efforts we don't want
00:07:47 00:07:51 to waste time on people that are not
00:07:49 00:07:53 buyers we look at your analytiks we look
00:07:51 00:07:54 at industry data we look at audience
00:07:53 00:07:57 insights we look at all sorts of things
00:07:54 00:07:58 then we figure out who matters right
00:07:57 00:08:00 because there's so many people online
00:07:58 00:08:03 this is why the Internet's beautiful you
00:08:00 00:08:06 can tok to one specific niche person at
00:08:03 00:08:07 scale so what we do is we focus our
00:08:06 00:08:09 campaign on these people only because
00:08:07 00:08:11 these are the people that are most
00:08:09 00:08:12 likely to buy it's very very important
00:08:11 00:08:14 that a lot of people skip over and this
00:08:12 00:08:15 will come back into the content creation
00:08:14 00:08:17 process as well which I'm going to show
00:08:15 00:08:18 you in one second so we also do topical
00:08:17 00:08:20 research for content so after do the
00:08:18 00:08:22 keyword opportunity mapping like I said
00:08:20 00:08:23 we split it in two categories purchase
00:08:22 00:08:25 and content anything that's in the
00:08:23 00:08:27 content we dump into here so let me show
00:08:25 00:08:29 you what this looks like for a client so
00:08:27 00:08:32 this is topic ideation so basically what
00:08:29 00:08:33 we do is we take these topics in these
00:08:32 00:08:35 keywords that we found and we map them
00:08:33 00:08:37 out so here you can see these four
00:08:35 00:08:38 journey stages that we had we determine
00:08:37 00:08:40 whether you have this Cox on your
00:08:38 00:08:42 website if we can compete for it if
00:08:40 00:08:43 there's not search volume and we map out
00:08:42 00:08:45 content topics and this is what we
00:08:43 00:08:47 create content around which I'm going to
00:08:45 00:08:49 show you in one second again so while
00:08:47 00:08:52 that's going on we also dictate a link
00:08:49 00:08:52 calendar and what this calendar does is
00:08:52 00:08:54 it basically
00:08:52 00:08:55 tells our link prospectors so actually
00:08:54 00:08:58 let me tok to you about our team for a
00:08:55 00:09:00 second so we're a mix of both both local
00:08:58 00:09:02 u.s. people and we've got people in the
00:09:00 00:09:04 Philippines we've got people in Pakistan
00:09:02 00:09:06 and what the people overseas do is they
00:09:04 00:09:07 do web research for us so all of our
00:09:06 00:09:09 link building is done through outreach
00:09:07 00:09:11 so we have to start by finding and
00:09:09 00:09:12 identifying opportunities let me
00:09:11 00:09:13 actually pull up buzz stream here for
00:09:12 00:09:16 you to so you can see this one I'm
00:09:13 00:09:18 toking so what we do is based on your
00:09:16 00:09:20 audience personas we dictate different
00:09:18 00:09:22 keywords so these are the keywords that
00:09:20 00:09:24 your audience these are the basically
00:09:22 00:09:25 will find the websites that they use
00:09:24 00:09:27 because again we don't want to waste
00:09:25 00:09:29 time building links on websites that
00:09:27 00:09:31 your audience isn't on we only want to
00:09:29 00:09:33 focus on them so what we do is we take
00:09:31 00:09:35 those audience personas and we build out
00:09:33 00:09:37 we call keyword sets those keyword sets
00:09:35 00:09:39 are all focused on one keyword it's just
00:09:37 00:09:41 spun into different once we then take
00:09:39 00:09:42 these keywords then we inject them into
00:09:41 00:09:44 this link building plan and it's a
00:09:42 00:09:45 science of one of our link prospectors
00:09:44 00:09:48 this is a s she's in the Philippines and
00:09:45 00:09:50 her job is she gets this start date and
00:09:48 00:09:52 this is all dictated here in our project
00:09:50 00:09:53 management calendar she gets this start
00:09:52 00:09:54 date and all she does she starts going
00:09:53 00:09:57 through and she starts looking through
00:09:54 00:09:59 google google us google UK Yahoo Bing
00:09:57 00:10:00 search and she's she's using keywords at
00:09:59 00:10:01 once so she's taken and she's looking
00:10:00 00:10:04 for guest posts so she's looking for
00:10:01 00:10:06 things like write for us let's see what
00:10:04 00:10:08 this keyword said his one ride share so
00:10:06 00:10:10 ride sharing sites live right for it she
00:10:08 00:10:11 searched she searches that keyword and
00:10:10 00:10:13 all these different things and she
00:10:11 00:10:14 prospects them in buzz streams so you
00:10:13 00:10:16 can see this is one of our client
00:10:14 00:10:18 accounts here and we've got it all
00:10:16 00:10:19 organized we use the blood stream as our
00:10:18 00:10:20 database for link building we'll lose
00:10:19 00:10:22 some outreach here but we do a lot of
00:10:20 00:10:24 link prospecting here because it's just
00:10:22 00:10:25 easier faster so you can see we prospect
00:10:24 00:10:27 for a ton of websites and that's her
00:10:25 00:10:28 only job but she goes out and she founds
00:10:27 00:10:30 these opportunities for us
00:10:28 00:10:31 she's amazing we have a bunch of them
00:10:30 00:10:33 over there they're incredible they
00:10:31 00:10:35 really make things run for us so that's
00:10:33 00:10:36 the link calendar creation so all these
00:10:35 00:10:39 things are kind of going on
00:10:36 00:10:40 at one time from there after the topical
00:10:39 00:10:42 research is done we build the content
00:10:40 00:10:44 calendar and the content calendar is
00:10:42 00:10:46 incredibly important because it makes
00:10:44 00:10:47 sure that we're doing things on time and
00:10:46 00:10:49 this is a really blown out version of
00:10:47 00:10:51 the topic research and this is fed from
00:10:49 00:10:53 our competitive research is fed from our
00:10:51 00:10:55 audience personas and this is fed from
00:10:53 00:10:57 our keyword opportunity mapping and what
00:10:55 00:10:58 you can see here is we have a draft new
00:10:57 00:11:00 day we have a go live date this is the
00:10:58 00:11:02 journey stage so you know exactly where
00:11:00 00:11:04 we're targeting this is our audience so
00:11:02 00:11:05 this is the audience persona we actually
00:11:04 00:11:06 use the name here so we know who we're
00:11:05 00:11:07 toking
00:11:06 00:11:09 to that we have the topic and then we do
00:11:07 00:11:11 blow it out into keywords we do
00:11:09 00:11:12 competition we look at traffic the
00:11:11 00:11:13 different type of content that we're
00:11:12 00:11:15 gonna do if it's gonna be a guest post
00:11:13 00:11:16 if it's gonna be a guide if it's gonna
00:11:15 00:11:18 be newsjacking if it's gonna be
00:11:16 00:11:19 skyscraper tiknique then if it's gonna
00:11:18 00:11:21 be a blog post a video infographic then
00:11:19 00:11:23 we have the title and then basically
00:11:21 00:11:25 I'll put some notes in here dude it word
00:11:23 00:11:26 count and then we assign it to an author
00:11:25 00:11:28 or your author they write an outline
00:11:26 00:11:30 then they write a draft then you approve
00:11:28 00:11:31 it and that we build out the promotional
00:11:30 00:11:32 plan as well which I'm going to tok
00:11:31 00:11:34 about one second cuz you're really gonna
00:11:32 00:11:36 like it it's really what sets us apart I
00:11:34 00:11:38 believe so after all this is done now
00:11:36 00:11:39 we've got a very good idea of how we're
00:11:38 00:11:41 gonna attack your campaign and we put
00:11:39 00:11:42 together a final campaign strategy and
00:11:41 00:11:43 that's what this document is here I'm
00:11:42 00:11:45 not gonna show you the whole thing
00:11:43 00:11:47 because it's just too valuable to show
00:11:45 00:11:49 you guys but basically we go into a ton
00:11:47 00:11:51 of detail for you and we build out like

00:12:18 00:12:21 create a spreadsheet we basically manage
00:12:19 00:12:22 the campaign for you manage the project
00:12:21 00:12:24 we prefer to work with your developers
00:12:22 00:12:25 if you don't have one we have ones on
00:12:24 00:12:27 contract that you could pay a little bit
00:12:25 00:12:29 extra for but we'll handle all your
00:12:27 00:12:31 tiknical updates all your analytikal
00:12:29 00:12:32 updates so if you need tag manager you
00:12:31 00:12:34 know Facebook pixel if you need to get
00:12:32 00:12:36 enhanced e-commerce setup we'll handle

00:12:59 00:13:03 from a business email people just know
00:13:01 00:13:04 it's for business but if we set up a
00:13:03 00:13:07 persona that's a blogger that writes on
00:13:04 00:13:09 your site you know so instead of web
00:13:07 00:13:11 hrus you know contact at Weber org
00:13:09 00:13:13 emailing you to guest posts it's Ryan
00:13:11 00:13:15 Stewart at gmail.com it's a much cleaner
00:13:13 00:13:17 much better higher response rate so
00:13:15 00:13:19 we'll set up those personas and we'll
00:13:17 00:13:19 actually begin the outreach now because
00:13:19 00:13:21 we're getting
00:13:19 00:13:23 fun part this is a gross stage and this
00:13:21 00:13:25 is again what we're most known for is
00:13:23 00:13:27 content marketing in link building and
00:13:25 00:13:29 so what we do is this is where we really
00:13:27 00:13:31 start to hit the growth and really start
00:13:29 00:13:33 to explode your organic traffic so the
00:13:31 00:13:34 content optimizations will go through
00:13:33 00:13:36 your whole site make sure everything is
00:13:34 00:13:39 updated in terms of your pit com page
