00:00:36 00:00:40 now this is crazy because this is
00:00:38 00:00:42 actually the first vehicle
00:00:40 00:00:43 that i have ever sold i've never sold a
00:00:42 00:00:45 car
00:00:43 00:00:46 i got purchased six i have yet to sell a
00:00:45 00:00:47 car
00:00:46 00:00:49 until now and there's going to be a
00:00:47 00:00:50 follow-up video on another vehicle that
00:00:49 00:00:52 i'm selling
00:00:50 00:00:54 and explaining why and what's coming and
00:00:52 00:00:56 what's going on
00:00:54 00:00:58 but this vehicle is kind of crazy
00:00:56 00:00:59 because it was such a good deal when i
00:00:58 00:01:00 bought it and if you guys watched that
00:00:59 00:01:01 video of me buying it i kind of
00:01:00 00:01:02 explained that and that's why i
00:01:01 00:01:05 purchased it
00:01:02 00:01:06 and i want the kind of the focus of this
00:01:05 00:01:08 video to be
00:01:06 00:01:09 how you can actually make money by
00:01:08 00:01:11 owning a vehicle
00:01:09 00:01:13 um that's a little bit more so than your
00:01:11 00:01:13 average you know something that's sporty
00:01:13 00:01:15 that's fun
00:01:13 00:01:17 you can get into and do at least a
00:01:15 00:01:18 little bit what i did where i drove it
00:01:17 00:01:21 for a year and i made
00:01:18 00:01:22 money on it a whole lot of money so for
00:01:21 00:01:24 those who are not familiar with the car
00:01:22 00:01:25 i will throw up a picture of it a couple
00:01:24 00:01:27 pictures right here unfortunately these
00:01:25 00:01:30 are kind of the only couple of pictures
00:01:27 00:01:31 that i have now and to really make this
00:01:30 00:01:35 story simple
00:01:31 00:01:37 i only drove this car maybe a maximum of
00:01:35 00:01:39 like 800 miles in the year
00:01:37 00:01:41 year and a quarter that i owned it
00:01:39 00:01:43 that's bananas to drive the vehicle less
00:01:41 00:01:45 than like 70 miles a month
00:01:43 00:01:47 and own it makes no sense now i
00:01:45 00:01:49 purchased this vehicle for 48
00:01:47 00:01:51 000 in cash i don't remember when it was
00:01:49 00:01:52 about a little bit over a year ago as to
00:01:51 00:01:54 when i'm posting this
00:01:52 00:01:55 now i knew that that vehicle was worth
00:01:54 00:01:58 low 50s
00:01:55 00:02:00 here's the thing i put money into the
00:01:58 00:02:01 car so like you see in the pictures i
00:02:00 00:02:04 did the wheels i did the wing
00:02:01 00:02:05 i did the wrap i also bought a custom
00:02:04 00:02:06 steering wheel for it which never got to
00:02:05 00:02:07 go into it
00:02:06 00:02:08 just because it took a long time with
00:02:07 00:02:10 all the coveted stuff for shipping i got
00:02:08 00:02:11 like matching custom
00:02:10 00:02:13 i'll throw a picture of it but i got
00:02:11 00:02:14 matching custom steering wheels for all
00:02:13 00:02:15 of my cars
00:02:14 00:02:17 so unfortunately i didn't get to put it
00:02:15 00:02:19 in there in time regardless i
00:02:17 00:02:20 spent about five thousand dollars a
00:02:19 00:02:23 little bit more
00:02:20 00:02:25 upgrading this vehicle right now i was
00:02:23 00:02:27 able to write those things off as those
00:02:25 00:02:28 upgrades because they were around my
00:02:27 00:02:30 company's colors
00:02:28 00:02:31 the company logos colors which were
00:02:30 00:02:32 black and blue
00:02:31 00:02:34 so you guys see all my cars are matched
00:02:32 00:02:36 like that i can't right off the car
00:02:34 00:02:38 but i can just write off some fun basic
00:02:36 00:02:41 upgrades in the wrap and such and such
00:02:38 00:02:42 so that brings me to being in the
00:02:41 00:02:45 vehicle
00:02:42 00:02:47 in total out of pocket about fifty four
00:02:45 00:02:50 thousand dollars fifty three thousand
00:02:47 00:02:51 now i'm able to get a depreciation off
00:02:50 00:02:54 of it i'm able to
00:02:51 00:02:57 write off those upgrades as well so i
00:02:54 00:02:59 was really out of pocket about 51 000
00:02:57 00:03:01 on this vehicle i got to own it for a
00:02:59 00:03:03 year my friends drove it a little bit i
00:03:01 00:03:04 got to have fun unfortunately again i
00:03:03 00:03:06 didn't get to drive it much
00:03:04 00:03:08 this vehicle sold recently to a brand
00:03:06 00:03:09 new owner in utah congratulations on the
00:03:08 00:03:12 amazing vehicle
00:03:09 00:03:15 for 55 000 a great deal
00:03:12 00:03:16 for everyone involved a very fair market
00:03:15 00:03:17 value
00:03:16 00:03:19 these cars hold their value and they're
00:03:17 00:03:20 not going anywhere so the guy who bought
00:03:19 00:03:22 it is gonna
00:03:20 00:03:24 drive it for a year two years and lose
00:03:22 00:03:25 nothing if he loses anything it's gonna
00:03:24 00:03:27 be a very minimal amount of money
00:03:25 00:03:29 and probably only because he put a lot
00:03:27 00:03:32 of miles on it now it's 2009 gtr i
00:03:29 00:03:33 bought it like 41 or 47 000 miles
00:03:32 00:03:35 it's still basically right around the
00:03:33 00:03:37 same so it's a great vehicle now i want
00:03:35 00:03:38 to explain before you buy a car like
00:03:37 00:03:40 this
00:03:38 00:03:42 you should spend a lot of time looking
00:03:40 00:03:43 at all the different resale websites
00:03:42 00:03:45 cars for sale
00:03:43 00:03:47 car gurus and take a look at a bunch of
00:03:45 00:03:49 private party transactions facebook has
00:03:47 00:03:52 great facebook groups that revolve
00:03:49 00:03:54 around specific cars like nissan gtrs
00:03:52 00:03:55 and specifically like those 09s really
00:03:54 00:03:57 hold their value
00:03:55 00:03:59 now this is not by any means a stok gtr
00:03:57 00:04:01 this is fbo
00:03:59 00:04:04 which stands for full bolt-ons there's
00:04:01 00:04:07 about 650 to 680 horsepower to the wheel
00:04:04 00:04:10 which is roughly double the average
00:04:07 00:04:11 nissan gtr now what's crazy is to get
00:04:10 00:04:14 into a car
00:04:11 00:04:17 for sub 50 000 like i did that will beat
00:04:14 00:04:19 a stok ferrari a stok lamborghini all
00:04:17 00:04:22 day long in every sense of the word
00:04:19 00:04:23 is pretty nuts so i had a huracan i
00:04:22 00:04:24 bought my huracan before and i still
00:04:23 00:04:26 have it
00:04:24 00:04:28 and so to kind of compare the two you
00:04:26 00:04:30 know i love the huracan
00:04:28 00:04:32 i really like the gtr but in terms of
00:04:30 00:04:34 performance for the price i mean the gtr
00:04:32 00:04:37 was a bang for the buck i mean
00:04:34 00:04:38 absolutely insane vehicle so i sold it
00:04:37 00:04:40 now it's kind of a crazy story one of my
00:04:38 00:04:40 good friends tanner wanted to buy it
00:04:40 00:04:42 from me
00:04:40 00:04:43 but i was having a dealership selling
00:04:42 00:04:45 because i don't want to spend all the
00:04:43 00:04:46 time taking photos and
00:04:45 00:04:48 you know toking with potential people
00:04:46 00:04:48 and doing test drives and just sounded
00:04:48 00:04:50 like a headache
00:04:48 00:04:52 so i gave a percentage cut to a local
00:04:50 00:04:53 dealership that i'm friends with
00:04:52 00:04:55 they took a few thousand dollars of the
00:04:53 00:04:56 transaction facilitated all the
00:04:55 00:04:57 paperwork shipping the vehicle every
00:04:56 00:04:59 little thing
00:04:57 00:05:01 so i came out of the vehicle with
00:04:59 00:05:01 probably after the write-offs on the
00:05:01 00:05:03 upgrades
00:05:01 00:05:05 a very small profit you factor in
00:05:03 00:05:07 insurance and and whatever
00:05:05 00:05:08 it's basically break even that's the
00:05:07 00:05:09 point i'm not here to make money on a
00:05:08 00:05:11 vehicle
00:05:09 00:05:13 now i have friends who do don't get me
00:05:11 00:05:14 wrong for an example one of them who
00:05:13 00:05:16 posts about it publicly
00:05:14 00:05:17 is jeff you guys might be familiar with
00:05:16 00:05:19 jr garage on youtube
00:05:17 00:05:21 he's been a great friend of mine for a
00:05:19 00:05:23 little over three years and i don't
00:05:21 00:05:25 think he's ever lost money on a car i
00:05:23 00:05:28 mean he bought a lamborghini gallardo
00:05:25 00:05:28 put 25 000 miles on it didn't lose a
00:05:28 00:05:31 penny
00:05:28 00:05:34 he made money but it's insane so you can
00:05:31 00:05:35 own the right vehicles and make money
00:05:34 00:05:37 now just a quick fun tip
00:05:35 00:05:39 usually those vehicles are going to be
00:05:37 00:05:40 in roughly the 10 to 12 year old
00:05:39 00:05:42 category or older
00:05:40 00:05:43 so you're basically looking at a decade
00:05:42 00:05:46 old or older
00:05:43 00:05:47 so 2010 and before is usually not always
00:05:46 00:05:48 but usually
00:05:47 00:05:50 when you're going to find those deals so
00:05:48 00:05:51 make sure to just study the market you
00:05:50 00:05:53 don't want to purchase a vehicle i'm
00:05:51 00:05:54 actually i bought a new vehicle today as
00:05:53 00:05:56 of when i'm filming this
00:05:54 00:05:58 i bought a new vehicle and i put a lot
00:05:56 00:06:00 of time into studying
00:05:58 00:06:02 understanding the depreciation curve of
00:06:00 00:06:03 the vehicle the possible maintenance the
00:06:02 00:06:04 things that can go wrong the things that
00:06:03 00:06:06 won't go wrong
00:06:04 00:06:09 so you just want to be educated instead
00:06:06 00:06:09 of walking on a carmax's lot and saying
00:06:09 00:06:11 hey
00:06:09 00:06:13 i want that you know and not really
00:06:11 00:06:13 negotiating understanding what to look
00:06:13 00:06:15 for
00:06:13 00:06:17 or what you're gonna be getting so do
00:06:15 00:06:19 your research do your due diligence
00:06:17 00:06:21 now the great thing is my friend tanner
00:06:19 00:06:22 who wanted to buy it unfortunately
00:06:21 00:06:23 um you know the dealership had already
00:06:22 00:06:24 pulled a credit app from the person who
00:06:23 00:06:26 bought it and they were going through
00:06:24 00:06:27 the financing process
00:06:26 00:06:29 he actually wired me the money for the
00:06:27 00:06:30 car and i'm like i told the dealership
00:06:29 00:06:31 hey
00:06:30 00:06:32 i'm going to come grab the car they're
00:06:31 00:06:34 like sorry we can't do that you know
00:06:32 00:06:36 this guy's about to grab it and i'm like
00:06:34 00:06:36 dang it so anyways i had to send him the
00:06:36 00:06:38 money back and he went and bought
00:06:36 00:06:39 another one so
00:06:38 00:06:41 it would have been perfect if that
00:06:39 00:06:42 vehicle would have still been around you
00:06:41 00:06:44 know when my friends would have had it
00:06:42 00:06:45 so that i could drive it but regardless
00:06:44 00:06:47 he got another one that's fbo pretty
00:06:45 00:06:48 much the same thing so
00:06:47 00:06:50 i still get to drive it i still do love
00:06:48 00:06:52 the car and yes if you guys are in the
00:06:50 00:06:54 market for a vehicle around that price
00:06:52 00:06:55 point i think the gtr is a great great
00:06:54 00:06:57 purchase
00:06:55 00:06:58 so let me know what kind of car you guys

00:07:18 00:07:22 all around you can get those for under
00:07:21 00:07:23 forty thousand dollars now and the
00:07:22 00:07:25 depreciation is
00:07:23 00:07:27 pretty much already taken it's full hit
00:07:25 00:07:29 so at this point it's just crazy mileage
00:07:27 00:07:30 that would really drop it a little bit
00:07:29 00:07:31 further but
00:07:30 00:07:33 i mean you know there's so many cars you
00:07:31 00:07:33 can get for a great great price and for
00:07:33 00:07:36 example
00:07:33 00:07:37 those m4s you get a 2015 and you would
00:07:36 00:07:39 barely lose any money would go down so
00:07:37 00:07:40 slightly every year
00:07:39 00:07:42 if you were to buy those right now with
00:07:40 00:07:43 like 40 50 000 miles
00:07:42 00:07:45 so it just depends on what you're
00:07:43 00:07:47 looking for i have a lot more fun car
00:07:45 00:07:49 videos playing we got some crazy racing
00:07:47 00:07:50 videos with some automotive youtubers in

00:07:50 00:07:54 and in utah not to drop any names but
00:07:53 00:07:56 some fun stuff coming with the
00:07:54 00:07:56 lamborghini as soon as it's back from

00:07:58 00:08:02 much about what exactly is going on
00:08:00 00:08:04 but kind of the second step of what
00:08:02 00:08:05 we're doing with the twin turbo build

00:08:05 00:08:08 went back into the shop it's been there
00:08:07 00:08:09 for about the last five
00:08:08 00:08:11 five and a half months waiting for a
00:08:09 00:08:13 bunch of crazy stuff to come in that is
00:08:11 00:08:14 super super close to arriving
00:08:13 00:08:16 then it's just going to be a lot a lot
00:08:14 00:08:18 of time and little stuff with the tunes
00:08:16 00:08:18 and making sure the car is running
00:08:18 00:08:20 perfectly
00:08:18 00:08:21 and then it is going to be back hitting
00:08:20 00:08:23 the streets and making some fun youtube

00:09:03 00:09:06 thought i was gonna you know drive it a
00:09:05 00:09:08 little bit more i didn't
00:09:06 00:09:09 and it is what it is so just understand
00:09:08 00:09:11 that understand the value of the
00:09:09 00:09:12 vehicles make sure you do your research
00:09:11 00:09:13 before
00:09:12 00:09:15 and watch those graphs you know if
00:09:13 00:09:16 you're looking at for example
00:09:15 00:09:18 a lamborghini euros right now which i'm
00:09:16 00:09:20 definitely getting one of those just not
00:09:18 00:09:21 right now okay that's not the next car
00:09:20 00:09:24 by the way
00:09:21 00:09:26 that vehicle holding its value right now
00:09:24 00:09:27 but those are about to start sliding so
00:09:26 00:09:28 you're going to want to wait a few years
00:09:27 00:09:30 probably two years or so
00:09:28 00:09:32 for those to start dropping and kind of
00:09:30 00:09:33 be holding lower like the huracans are
00:09:32 00:09:34 right now
00:09:33 00:09:36 you know right now they're reselling for
00:09:34 00:09:37 right around retail some even up and
00:09:36 00:09:38 above
00:09:37 00:09:40 but they will start sliding so you could
00:09:38 00:09:41 have got one right away and gotten out
00:09:40 00:09:42 for a break even i know some people who
00:09:41 00:09:44 did that
00:09:42 00:09:45 it just depends so the other day it all
00:09:44 00:09:46 comes down to research look i hope you
