00:00:00 | 00:00:03 | you know every once in a while you kind |
00:00:01 | 00:00:04 | of have an epiphany something that just |
00:00:03 | 00:00:06 | kind of |
00:00:04 | 00:00:07 | shatters everything you've previously |
00:00:06 | 00:00:09 | known about a certain subject |
00:00:07 | 00:00:11 | or something in partikular and i truly |
00:00:09 | 00:00:13 | hope that that is what this video will |
00:00:11 | 00:00:14 | be that's my goal for you |
00:00:13 | 00:00:16 | if this is not something you're already |
00:00:14 | 00:00:18 | doing or at least thinking about |
00:00:16 | 00:00:20 | this cash it's actually all the cash i |
00:00:18 | 00:00:22 | had my wallet 115 |
00:00:20 | 00:00:23 | i want to explain exactly why i really |
00:00:22 | 00:00:26 | don't save |
00:00:23 | 00:00:27 | money anymore in terms of trying to grow |
00:00:26 | 00:00:29 | my bank account |
00:00:27 | 00:00:32 | if that sounds very counterproductive |
00:00:29 | 00:00:32 | right but let me explain |
00:00:39 | 00:00:43 | so about two maybe two and a half years |
00:00:41 | 00:00:44 | ago when i had been making good money |
00:00:43 | 00:00:45 | for the last couple years my income was |
00:00:44 | 00:00:47 | starting to grow |
00:00:45 | 00:00:49 | i had started to work on some basic |
00:00:47 | 00:00:51 | things like filing taxes better |
00:00:49 | 00:00:53 | changing my legal tax structure for my |
00:00:51 | 00:00:55 | business and setting up a retirement |
00:00:53 | 00:00:57 | account some you know more adult style |
00:00:55 | 00:00:59 | things that was very new to me |
00:00:57 | 00:01:01 | i started realizing it didn't make a lot |
00:00:59 | 00:01:02 | of sense for me to have a bunch of money |
00:01:01 | 00:01:04 | sitting in my bank account and the |
00:01:02 | 00:01:05 | reasons why are actually very different |
00:01:04 | 00:01:07 | than most people who |
00:01:05 | 00:01:08 | tok about stuff like dave rams or this |
00:01:07 | 00:01:10 | and that it wasn't because and we're |
00:01:08 | 00:01:11 | going to tok about this how your money |
00:01:10 | 00:01:12 | loses value and the other places you can |
00:01:11 | 00:01:14 | put it |
00:01:12 | 00:01:15 | but having money in the bank actually |
00:01:14 | 00:01:16 | caused me to make |
00:01:15 | 00:01:18 | less money and i'm going to explain that |
00:01:16 | 00:01:20 | and exactly how it impacts |
00:01:18 | 00:01:22 | myself i know a few of my friends kind |
00:01:20 | 00:01:23 | of suffer from this as well because |
00:01:22 | 00:01:25 | it is something that can be very |
00:01:23 | 00:01:26 | negatively impactful so |
00:01:25 | 00:01:28 | we're going to tok about that if you're |
00:01:26 | 00:01:29 | excited for the video make sure to smash |
00:01:28 | 00:01:30 | a quick like i'm super excited to bring |
00:01:29 | 00:01:31 | this to you because |
00:01:30 | 00:01:33 | i like toking about financial stuff you |
00:01:31 | 00:01:34 | know and obviously this is not going to |
00:01:33 | 00:01:35 | come off as bragging i hope that's not |
00:01:34 | 00:01:37 | the case |
00:01:35 | 00:01:38 | i just want to tok about what i do with |
00:01:37 | 00:01:40 | the money that i earn and this is |
00:01:38 | 00:01:41 | applicable for anyone whether you make |
00:01:40 | 00:01:43 | two thousand dollars a month |
00:01:41 | 00:01:45 | twenty thousand or two million dollars a |
00:01:43 | 00:01:47 | month i've been able to see both ends of |
00:01:45 | 00:01:48 | the spectrum in terms of what people |
00:01:47 | 00:01:49 | invest in |
00:01:48 | 00:01:50 | i have friends that have all their money |
00:01:49 | 00:01:52 | sitting in cash and they just love to |
00:01:50 | 00:01:53 | save save save |
00:01:52 | 00:01:54 | i also have friends who make a ton of |
00:01:53 | 00:01:56 | money and they just blow through it i |
00:01:54 | 00:01:58 | mean we're toking designer goods |
00:01:56 | 00:01:59 | brand new cars from the dealership |
00:01:58 | 00:02:01 | paying sales tax |
00:01:59 | 00:02:02 | the whole nine yards so i've been able |
00:02:01 | 00:02:04 | to see both of that and i think i've |
00:02:02 | 00:02:05 | identified a good place that i want to |
00:02:04 | 00:02:06 | stay |
00:02:05 | 00:02:08 | so let's jump inside of my computer |
00:02:06 | 00:02:10 | we're going to tok about this |
00:02:08 | 00:02:11 | here's why i basically stopped saving |
00:02:10 | 00:02:14 | money like i literally have not added |
00:02:11 | 00:02:17 | money to my savings account in my bank |
00:02:14 | 00:02:20 | in quite some time here's why okay cash |
00:02:17 | 00:02:21 | lying around usually gets spent this is |
00:02:20 | 00:02:22 | where we tok about that kind of |
00:02:21 | 00:02:24 | suffering |
00:02:22 | 00:02:26 | piece where i actually started making |
00:02:24 | 00:02:29 | less money and i was spending more |
00:02:26 | 00:02:31 | so this has been very true for me if the |
00:02:29 | 00:02:33 | money isn't in your bank account |
00:02:31 | 00:02:34 | then it can't be spent right if you |
00:02:33 | 00:02:36 | don't have the the |
00:02:34 | 00:02:37 | thirty thousand dollars sitting around |
00:02:36 | 00:02:38 | you're not going to be thinking about |
00:02:37 | 00:02:40 | that car you want |
00:02:38 | 00:02:42 | or the thing over here or the new gucci |
00:02:40 | 00:02:42 | because if you don't have the money |
00:02:42 | 00:02:44 | there |
00:02:42 | 00:02:46 | it's not accessible right so that's why |
00:02:44 | 00:02:47 | i like to get rid of the money now when |
00:02:46 | 00:02:48 | i say get rid of the money |
00:02:47 | 00:02:51 | people take that in one of two |
00:02:48 | 00:02:52 | directions either invest in it which is |
00:02:51 | 00:02:53 | what we're going to tok about we're |
00:02:52 | 00:02:54 | toking about the different things |
00:02:53 | 00:02:55 | or just spending it they're like why |
00:02:54 | 00:02:56 | would you want to get rid of your money |
00:02:55 | 00:02:57 | why would you spend it like it doesn't |
00:02:56 | 00:02:59 | make any sense |
00:02:57 | 00:03:00 | so let me break this down but before we |
00:02:59 | 00:03:02 | get into the specifics of |
00:03:00 | 00:03:05 | what i do with that money i want to tok |
00:03:02 | 00:03:06 | about how much is okay to have |
00:03:05 | 00:03:08 | this is just based on my own personal |
00:03:06 | 00:03:09 | experience what i do what i practike |
00:03:08 | 00:03:10 | everybody's different based on your |
00:03:09 | 00:03:12 | income |
00:03:10 | 00:03:14 | what you need in terms of cash reserves |
00:03:12 | 00:03:14 | everything like that so here's my |
00:03:14 | 00:03:16 | situation |
00:03:14 | 00:03:19 | okay and again every person is different |
00:03:16 | 00:03:20 | i personally have a six-month emergency |
00:03:19 | 00:03:23 | fund for myself |
00:03:20 | 00:03:23 | based on all of my expenses okay |
00:03:23 | 00:03:26 | eventually |
00:03:23 | 00:03:28 | this will be a 10-year emergency fund |
00:03:26 | 00:03:28 | i'm someone who loves to consume i'm not |
00:03:28 | 00:03:31 | a very like |
00:03:28 | 00:03:32 | uh visual learner in terms of reading a |
00:03:31 | 00:03:34 | book |
00:03:32 | 00:03:35 | like books are probably the furthest |
00:03:34 | 00:03:37 | thing away from how i learn i still try |
00:03:35 | 00:03:39 | to read so i love buying courses |
00:03:37 | 00:03:41 | i love listening to podcasts and |
00:03:39 | 00:03:42 | audiobooks on a 2x speed |
00:03:41 | 00:03:44 | and it's just something where that's how |
00:03:42 | 00:03:45 | i learn so i've gone through everything |
00:03:44 | 00:03:47 | from freaking this person's course dave |
00:03:45 | 00:03:48 | ramsey's different programs |
00:03:47 | 00:03:50 | i've really tried to sing from like |
00:03:48 | 00:03:51 | crazy entrepreneurs or just like you |
00:03:50 | 00:03:52 | know take all the risk investing |
00:03:51 | 00:03:53 | yourself |
00:03:52 | 00:03:56 | all the way through dave ramsey where |
00:03:53 | 00:03:56 | it's like conservative no debt you know |
00:03:56 | 00:03:58 | like just just |
00:03:56 | 00:03:59 | save money keep it in cash retirement |
00:03:58 | 00:04:00 | accounts i've been able to experience |
00:03:59 | 00:04:02 | that |
00:04:00 | 00:04:04 | and for me i've found the perfect spot |
00:04:02 | 00:04:06 | for me in terms of having money |
00:04:04 | 00:04:07 | is i have a six month fully funded |
00:04:06 | 00:04:08 | emergency fund this is actually |
00:04:07 | 00:04:10 | something that dave ramsey |
00:04:08 | 00:04:11 | recommends some people have a one month |
00:04:10 | 00:04:14 | a three month to sixth |
00:04:11 | 00:04:16 | i wanted a six just because i'm |
00:04:14 | 00:04:17 | self-employed now i'm very confident in |
00:04:16 | 00:04:18 | the businesses that i have |
00:04:17 | 00:04:20 | you know the income streams are |
00:04:18 | 00:04:20 | diversified enough to where i think it |
00:04:20 | 00:04:22 | would be |
00:04:20 | 00:04:23 | very difficult i don't want to say |
00:04:22 | 00:04:24 | impossible but very difficult for those |
00:04:23 | 00:04:26 | to just disappear |
00:04:24 | 00:04:29 | right so now i want to make this clear |
00:04:26 | 00:04:31 | my six month personal emergency fund is |
00:04:29 | 00:04:33 | not inside my personal checking account |
00:04:31 | 00:04:35 | that is a separate account that does not |
00:04:33 | 00:04:36 | get touched my personal expenses i'm |
00:04:35 | 00:04:37 | always open and transparent here on the |
00:04:36 | 00:04:39 | channel |
00:04:37 | 00:04:41 | is anywhere from 10 to 15 000 a month |
00:04:39 | 00:04:42 | and my emergency fund reflects that |
00:04:41 | 00:04:44 | that is the bulk of the money that i |
00:04:42 | 00:04:46 | have in cash personally i don't really |
00:04:44 | 00:04:47 | need anything else because that makes me |
00:04:46 | 00:04:48 | very comfortable |
00:04:47 | 00:04:50 | on to the point of this eventually this |
00:04:48 | 00:04:52 | will be a 10-year one day i would love |
00:04:50 | 00:04:53 | to have 10 years worth of personal |
00:04:52 | 00:04:55 | expenses just sitting in cash |
00:04:53 | 00:04:56 | doesn't make sense for me to do that |
00:04:55 | 00:04:58 | right now but that would be really cool |
00:04:56 | 00:04:59 | it would just make me so so comfortable |
00:04:58 | 00:05:00 | and i feel like it might change a little |
00:04:59 | 00:05:02 | bit |
00:05:00 | 00:05:03 | my approach to business just not having |
00:05:02 | 00:05:04 | to worry about making a little bit of |
00:05:03 | 00:05:06 | money right now |
00:05:04 | 00:05:07 | i'm already kind of past that which is |
00:05:06 | 00:05:08 | great just because there's money sitting |
00:05:07 | 00:05:09 | in |
00:05:08 | 00:05:11 | cash reserves and income streams that |
00:05:09 | 00:05:12 | can't really be disrupted but i think |
00:05:11 | 00:05:13 | having that there would be super great |
00:05:12 | 00:05:14 | um |
00:05:13 | 00:05:17 | just for myself now for an investing |
00:05:14 | 00:05:19 | perspective i don't put my future |
00:05:17 | 00:05:20 | investment money into mutual funds or |
00:05:19 | 00:05:21 | index funds |
00:05:20 | 00:05:23 | like some do so for an example a lot of |
00:05:21 | 00:05:24 | people teach oh if you're saving up for |
00:05:23 | 00:05:25 | a rental property |
00:05:24 | 00:05:26 | just keep adding the money that you're |
00:05:25 | 00:05:28 | saving into a mutual fund because it's |
00:05:26 | 00:05:29 | very slow it might go up a little bit |
00:05:28 | 00:05:30 | might go down a little bit |
00:05:29 | 00:05:32 | look it's not like it's probably going |
00:05:30 | 00:05:32 | to go up a little bit in the one year |
00:05:32 | 00:05:34 | and it's going to really make a |
00:05:32 | 00:05:36 | difference but you're also risking that |
00:05:34 | 00:05:36 | slight down and only go down a few |
00:05:36 | 00:05:38 | percent but it's like |
00:05:36 | 00:05:40 | for me it's just not worth it and never |
00:05:38 | 00:05:42 | takes me yet very long to save up for |
00:05:40 | 00:05:44 | something i haven't bought something |
00:05:42 | 00:05:46 | extravagantly huge there's not been a |
00:05:44 | 00:05:47 | crazy six million dollar apartment |
00:05:46 | 00:05:49 | building or something wild where i need |
00:05:47 | 00:05:50 | to come up with a big down payment |
00:05:49 | 00:05:52 | love for that to happen i would love to |
00:05:50 | 00:05:53 | purchase something like that but for |
00:05:52 | 00:05:55 | right now |
00:05:53 | 00:05:56 | um all my stuff doesn't get held that |
00:05:55 | 00:05:58 | long you know it's like okay let me save |
00:05:56 | 00:05:59 | up for a new property or |
00:05:58 | 00:06:01 | i want to put a couple hundred thousand |
00:05:59 | 00:06:02 | dollars into the stok market like just |
00:06:01 | 00:06:04 | for my situation |
00:06:02 | 00:06:05 | that hasn't taken that long so i haven't |
00:06:04 | 00:06:06 | gone through the extra step and spent |
00:06:05 | 00:06:07 | the time to learn |
00:06:06 | 00:06:08 | and open these different accounts just |
00:06:07 | 00:06:10 | to put money for a few months it just |
00:06:08 | 00:06:11 | seems like a hassle for me that's not |
00:06:10 | 00:06:13 | really worth it now |
00:06:11 | 00:06:15 | from a business perspective this is |
00:06:13 | 00:06:16 | completely separate okay this this has |
00:06:15 | 00:06:18 | nothing to do with my personal self |
00:06:16 | 00:06:19 | this is how i operate my companies and |
00:06:18 | 00:06:21 | those are two completely different |
00:06:19 | 00:06:23 | things i'm a frugal person i'm a frugal |
00:06:21 | 00:06:24 | individual i don't like spending money |
00:06:23 | 00:06:26 | on unnecessary stuff |
00:06:24 | 00:06:27 | yet some people might think i'm |
00:06:26 | 00:06:28 | ridiculous when i go to an airbnb for |
00:06:27 | 00:06:30 | two weeks and i spend three thousand |
00:06:28 | 00:06:31 | dollars before i even go to order my |
00:06:30 | 00:06:33 | office set up just to |
00:06:31 | 00:06:35 | get to that airbnb and then end up |
00:06:33 | 00:06:37 | leaving it because i need a specific |
00:06:35 | 00:06:39 | place to work and i want my stuff my |
00:06:37 | 00:06:41 | same type of desk my same type of chair |
00:06:39 | 00:06:42 | people think i'm psycho for that but |
00:06:41 | 00:06:44 | that's my work environment that's |
00:06:42 | 00:06:45 | business related just like how |
00:06:44 | 00:06:46 | i will spend any amount of money |
00:06:45 | 00:06:48 | necessary on business training for |
00:06:46 | 00:06:50 | myself my employees |
00:06:48 | 00:06:51 | contractors anything needed i will spend |
00:06:50 | 00:06:53 | money on that because i get |
00:06:51 | 00:06:55 | completely separate so i have a totally |
00:06:53 | 00:06:57 | different approach with business |
00:06:55 | 00:06:58 | so my companies need to have capital for |
00:06:57 | 00:07:00 | cash flow reasons |
00:06:58 | 00:07:01 | i always want because anything can |
00:07:00 | 00:07:03 | happen payment processors could have |
00:07:01 | 00:07:04 | some sort of lock-up issue |
00:07:03 | 00:07:06 | i need at least three months reserve so |
00:07:04 | 00:07:07 | this is how i operate my companies it's |
00:07:06 | 00:07:09 | different for each one |
00:07:07 | 00:07:10 | the e-commerce companies are a very |
00:07:09 | 00:07:11 | strong three months because they're cash |
00:07:10 | 00:07:13 | intense |
00:07:11 | 00:07:15 | so for example sometimes inside my |
00:07:13 | 00:07:16 | e-commerce companies we'll spend upwards |
00:07:15 | 00:07:17 | of a million |
00:07:16 | 00:07:19 | dollars in a month that's kind of like |
00:07:17 | 00:07:20 | been the peak so far |
00:07:19 | 00:07:22 | and it fluctuates based on what we're |
00:07:20 | 00:07:24 | doing the advertising platforms |
00:07:22 | 00:07:26 | things like that so i need a cash |
00:07:24 | 00:07:27 | reserve that supports that |
00:07:26 | 00:07:28 | i need something that would make me |
00:07:27 | 00:07:30 | comfortable not have to worry about |
00:07:28 | 00:07:31 | making sure cash flow's coming in |
00:07:30 | 00:07:32 | you know just a little bit of |
00:07:31 | 00:07:33 | comfortability which will allow us to |
00:07:32 | 00:07:34 | just |
00:07:33 | 00:07:36 | think a little more freely not be |
00:07:34 | 00:07:38 | worried not be stressed so i have that |
00:07:36 | 00:07:39 | set aside it's been slowly set aside out |
00:07:38 | 00:07:41 | of the businesses profits |
00:07:39 | 00:07:42 | and that's just sitting there equivalent |
00:07:41 | 00:07:45 | to a couple months worth |
00:07:42 | 00:07:46 | for each of the companies okay so that's |
00:07:45 | 00:07:48 | the thing because if not |
00:07:46 | 00:07:50 | it negatively impacts my business |
00:07:48 | 00:07:51 | spending decisions if there's not enough |
00:07:50 | 00:07:53 | money sitting there |
00:07:51 | 00:07:54 | i'll say you know we probably don't need |
00:07:53 | 00:07:56 | to pay this influencer six thousand |
00:07:54 | 00:07:58 | dollars for a promotion you know |
00:07:56 | 00:07:59 | we're doing well as soon as you think |
00:07:58 | 00:08:01 | like that |
00:07:59 | 00:08:02 | growth stops you know and i've fallen |
00:08:01 | 00:08:02 | into these things all the time like you |
00:08:02 | 00:08:04 | know i'm |
00:08:02 | 00:08:05 | i don't need to buy this course for this |
00:08:04 | 00:08:06 | for you know why would i pay 5 000 |
00:08:05 | 00:08:09 | to go to this little group mastermind |
00:08:06 | 00:08:10 | thing on this island somewhere but like |
00:08:09 | 00:08:11 | you just got to think about it from a |
00:08:10 | 00:08:13 | business perspective it's completely |
00:08:11 | 00:08:15 | separate so i try to keep that stuff |
00:08:13 | 00:08:16 | to the side okay so that is how much is |
00:08:15 | 00:08:17 | okay to have in my opinion you know i |
00:08:16 | 00:08:18 | definitely think it's gonna have some |
00:08:17 | 00:08:20 | money put to the side |
00:08:18 | 00:08:21 | you don't want to ever have an emergency |
00:08:20 | 00:08:23 | and not be able to pay for something |
00:08:21 | 00:08:23 | it's that whole statistik of whatever it |
00:08:23 | 00:08:25 | is |
00:08:23 | 00:08:28 | like 60 or 70 of americans can't lay |
00:08:25 | 00:08:30 | their hands on a thousand dollars cash |
00:08:28 | 00:08:32 | if there's an emergency now tiknically |
00:08:30 | 00:08:32 | i can't lay my hands on a thousand |
00:08:32 | 00:08:35 | dollars |
00:08:32 | 00:08:36 | cash not same day or maybe when i go to |
00:08:35 | 00:08:38 | the bank but |
00:08:36 | 00:08:39 | anyways you know it's just that the idea |
00:08:38 | 00:08:40 | have a little bit so that you're |
00:08:39 | 00:08:42 | comfortable now |
00:08:40 | 00:08:43 | from a practikal reason perspective |
00:08:42 | 00:08:44 | number one money goes down in value |
00:08:43 | 00:08:46 | number two |
00:08:44 | 00:08:48 | the usd is looking a lot more uncertain |
00:08:46 | 00:08:49 | especially with over 10 trillion dollars |
00:08:48 | 00:08:50 | printed |
00:08:49 | 00:08:52 | since the start of covid with another |
00:08:50 | 00:08:54 | two trillion dollars that sleepy joe is |
00:08:52 | 00:08:56 | attempting to print |
00:08:54 | 00:08:58 | primarily for the purpose of eliminating |
00:08:56 | 00:08:59 | a chunk of student debt |
00:08:58 | 00:09:01 | which is going to slowly start |
00:08:59 | 00:09:03 | collapsing the economy |
00:09:01 | 00:09:04 | if that happens for the simple reason |
00:09:03 | 00:09:06 | that student debt is the backbone of |
00:09:04 | 00:09:08 | that primarily along with real estate |
00:09:06 | 00:09:10 | but it is a huge format of debt and it's |
00:09:08 | 00:09:12 | going to start issuing |
00:09:10 | 00:09:13 | a bunch of problems with the price of |
00:09:12 | 00:09:14 | college which by the way i think is |
00:09:13 | 00:09:15 | completely overpriced |
00:09:14 | 00:09:17 | i think it's ridiculous it definitely |
00:09:15 | 00:09:18 | needs to come down in price it's a |
00:09:17 | 00:09:20 | wildly profitable business |
00:09:18 | 00:09:21 | but if he just eliminates student debt |
00:09:20 | 00:09:22 | for a certain amount of people what |
00:09:21 | 00:09:23 | about all the young kids who are going |
00:09:22 | 00:09:24 | to get debt soon |
00:09:23 | 00:09:25 | well that's not fair to them so it's |
00:09:24 | 00:09:27 | going to create this whole trickle |
00:09:25 | 00:09:28 | effect also |
00:09:27 | 00:09:31 | there's no long-term value of having |
00:09:28 | 00:09:32 | money sit opportunity cost there's no |
00:09:31 | 00:09:35 | potential for it to grow |
00:09:32 | 00:09:37 | the .001 percent i get at the bank it's |
00:09:35 | 00:09:37 | nothing it just gets demolished by |
00:09:37 | 00:09:39 | inflation |
00:09:37 | 00:09:41 | number four cash is not fun okay it's |
00:09:39 | 00:09:43 | much more fun to invest |
00:09:41 | 00:09:45 | i learn a lot i get to choose what i |
00:09:43 | 00:09:47 | want to invest in when the entire market |
00:09:45 | 00:09:49 | crashes people panic |
00:09:47 | 00:09:50 | boeing's down 73 and i'm snapping up |
00:09:49 | 00:09:52 | shares at a hundred dollars ninety three |
00:09:50 | 00:09:52 | dollars i bought it at the very bottom |
00:09:52 | 00:09:56 | day |
00:09:52 | 00:09:57 | buying tesla 363 pre-split you know it |
00:09:56 | 00:09:58 | was two thousand dollars then splits |
00:09:57 | 00:10:00 | then four to six |
00:09:58 | 00:10:01 | so all these things where you get to |
00:10:00 | 00:10:03 | learn you to observe you get to buy |
00:10:01 | 00:10:04 | rental properties i bought my first |
00:10:03 | 00:10:06 | three properties when i was 19 |
00:10:04 | 00:10:08 | and i bought more you know it's been |
00:10:06 | 00:10:10 | really fun and truly i can say this i've |
00:10:08 | 00:10:12 | had the most fun |
00:10:10 | 00:10:13 | operating inside the investments that's |
00:10:12 | 00:10:15 | been the most exciting okay |
00:10:13 | 00:10:17 | the businesses has you know it's kind of |
00:10:15 | 00:10:18 | a grind it's more attention |
00:10:17 | 00:10:19 | the investments are just exciting and i |
00:10:18 | 00:10:20 | love it i love doing research i love |
00:10:19 | 00:10:21 | learning |
00:10:20 | 00:10:23 | so i have a lot of fun doing that and |
00:10:21 | 00:10:24 | that is why i really don't like to keep |
00:10:23 | 00:10:26 | cash around |
00:10:24 | 00:10:28 | and i hope this isn't being viewed as a |
00:10:26 | 00:10:29 | flex me holding 115 |
00:10:28 | 00:10:32 | anyways this is my visual example maybe |
00:10:29 | 00:10:33 | it'll be my thumbnail but nonetheless |
00:10:32 | 00:10:35 | this is something where i really just |
00:10:33 | 00:10:37 | don't like to have a lot of money |
00:10:35 | 00:10:39 | sitting i'm someone where i'm |
00:10:37 | 00:10:41 | i'm decently disciplined but you know |
00:10:39 | 00:10:43 | when let's say for an example |
00:10:41 | 00:10:45 | one of my friends hits me up and says |
00:10:43 | 00:10:46 | hey there's a private party seller that |
00:10:45 | 00:10:49 | i know in los angeles |
00:10:46 | 00:10:50 | he's selling his brand new ferrari pista |
00:10:49 | 00:10:52 | it's you know just |
00:10:50 | 00:10:53 | drop that gorgeous car it's worth 520 |
00:10:52 | 00:10:55 | grand dude he's selling it for 4.95 |
00:10:53 | 00:10:57 | right now private party no sales tax |
00:10:55 | 00:10:59 | and it's like one of those points where |
00:10:57 | 00:11:00 | sick car would love to have it's half a |
00:10:59 | 00:11:01 | million dollars |
00:11:00 | 00:11:03 | so this is a live situation that |
00:11:01 | 00:11:04 | happened to me and i was like you know |
00:11:03 | 00:11:06 | the money's there i was like |
00:11:04 | 00:11:08 | i'm just i'm not going to do that but |
00:11:06 | 00:11:09 | sometimes it'll push you to do that and |
00:11:08 | 00:11:12 | i did do that on certain cars |
00:11:09 | 00:11:13 | i thought it out but you know r8 gtr and |
00:11:12 | 00:11:14 | other gtr you know the |
00:11:13 | 00:11:16 | other things were thought out like my |
00:11:14 | 00:11:18 | lamborghini bmw the car for my grandpa |
00:11:16 | 00:11:20 | you know then there's a tesla all these |
00:11:18 | 00:11:21 | toys right but like when the money's |
00:11:20 | 00:11:22 | sitting there it's just like |
00:11:21 | 00:11:24 | not a problem you know i'm bored let's |
00:11:22 | 00:11:26 | go get a couple dirt bikes couple |
00:11:24 | 00:11:28 | motorcycles and an atv today |
00:11:26 | 00:11:29 | like it's just you know i always make |
00:11:28 | 00:11:31 | sense of buying them i buy them under |
00:11:29 | 00:11:32 | market value i don't pay sales tax i |
00:11:31 | 00:11:34 | don't really lose money on it but |
00:11:32 | 00:11:35 | that money could have gone somewhere |
00:11:34 | 00:11:36 | else where it has a potential to grow |
00:11:35 | 00:11:37 | you know so |
00:11:36 | 00:11:39 | just one of those things to think about |
00:11:37 | 00:11:40 | and have a lot of fun operating inside |
00:11:39 | 00:11:41 | that space so |
00:11:40 | 00:11:42 | um one thing i could recommend if you |
00:11:41 | 00:11:44 | haven't done this already read the book |
00:11:42 | 00:11:46 | rich dad poor dad i've never said that |
00:11:44 | 00:11:48 | to anyone ever but it is a solid book i |
00:11:46 | 00:11:49 | read it probably six years ago |
00:11:48 | 00:11:52 | i should probably reread it but it just |
00:11:49 | 00:11:52 | explains some very basics around cash |
00:11:52 | 00:11:54 | flow |
00:11:52 | 00:11:56 | assets versus liabilities and i think |
00:11:54 | 00:11:58 | it'll just help change some different |
00:11:56 | 00:11:59 | mindsets in terms of how you think about |
00:11:58 | 00:12:00 | money how you approach it because a lot |
00:11:59 | 00:12:01 | of people |
00:12:00 | 00:12:03 | what do you think about when saving |
00:12:01 | 00:12:03 | money saving money to grow your amount |
00:12:03 | 00:12:05 | of money |
00:12:03 | 00:12:06 | means putting it at the bank but it |
00:12:05 | 00:12:07 | loses money there |
00:12:06 | 00:12:09 | right and as soon as you put your money |
00:12:07 | 00:12:10 | in the bank the bank lends it out like |
00:12:09 | 00:12:11 | nine times over |
00:12:10 | 00:12:12 | so it's just one of those things where |
00:12:11 | 00:12:13 | you got to understand how money works |
00:12:12 | 00:12:14 | there's a bunch of great places you can |
00:12:13 | 00:12:15 | do that |
00:12:14 | 00:12:16 | that's why i love to continue learning |
00:12:15 | 00:12:18 | but i have a lot of fun with the |
00:12:16 | 00:12:19 | investments i love showing them here on |
00:12:18 | 00:12:20 | the channel i know there's certain |
00:12:19 | 00:12:20 | videos that get a lot more views than |
00:12:20 | 00:12:22 | others |
00:12:20 | 00:12:24 | but that's the thing i don't care if |
00:12:22 | 00:12:25 | this gets 400 views |
00:12:24 | 00:12:27 | you know that's way lower than the |
00:12:25 | 00:12:28 | average but i don't care because those |
00:12:27 | 00:12:30 | 400 people |
00:12:28 | 00:12:31 | look at how that would impact them like |
00:12:30 | 00:12:32 | i hope this video has been valuable for |
00:12:31 | 00:12:33 | you so far |
00:12:32 | 00:12:34 | i'd appreciate if you drop a like you |
00:12:33 | 00:12:35 | know there's certain videos i like |
00:12:34 | 00:12:36 | toking about real estate |
00:12:35 | 00:12:38 | i know my real estate videos don't get |
00:12:36 | 00:12:40 | many views thankfully i don't do youtube |
00:12:38 | 00:12:41 | for the money so i couldn't give a damn |
00:12:40 | 00:12:43 | but it's one of those things where i |
00:12:41 | 00:12:43 | just like showing all these different |
00:12:43 | 00:12:45 | things |
00:12:43 | 00:12:46 | and toking openly and honestly about my |
00:12:45 | 00:12:48 | perspective on them so |
00:12:46 | 00:12:50 | that's what we're here for right well |
00:12:48 | 00:12:51 | anyways if you have any questions i |
00:12:50 | 00:12:52 | would like to open this up maybe i'll do |
00:12:51 | 00:12:54 | a q a of some sort |
00:12:52 | 00:12:55 | leave it in the comment section down |
00:12:54 | 00:12:57 | below um if you enjoyed the video drop a |
00:12:55 | 00:12:58 | like subscribe we have a bunch of |
00:12:57 | 00:13:00 | resources |
00:12:58 | 00:13:01 | in the description free and paid from an |
00:13:00 | 00:13:02 | ecommerce perspective |
00:13:01 | 00:13:04 | those of you who watch me here in the |
00:13:02 | 00:13:05 | channel you know i don't teach anything |
00:13:04 | 00:13:07 | other than e-commerce that's the only |
00:13:05 | 00:13:08 | thing that i remotely |
00:13:07 | 00:13:10 | consider myself an expert at i'm not an |
00:13:08 | 00:13:11 | expert in the markets in the stok |
00:13:10 | 00:13:13 | markets i'll never sell a course on that |
00:13:11 | 00:13:14 | i'll never have i'm maybe down the road |
00:13:13 | 00:13:16 | i'll have something on real estate but |
00:13:14 | 00:13:17 | i'm a noob with that it takes a long |
00:13:16 | 00:13:18 | time to learn |
00:13:17 | 00:13:20 | my portfolio isn't even worth 3 million |
00:13:18 | 00:13:21 | bucks yet so it's one of those things |
00:13:20 | 00:13:23 | you know just learning and slowly |
00:13:21 | 00:13:24 | evolving but i definitely like toking |
00:13:23 | 00:13:25 | about stuff here on the channel |
00:13:24 | 00:13:27 | as well as teaching e-commerce inside of |
00:13:25 | 00:13:28 | our private groups all right so make |
00:13:27 | 00:13:29 | sure to check that out |
00:13:28 | 00:13:31 | we also have an entire ecommerce channel |
00:13:29 | 00:13:32 | that you can find linked below as well |
00:13:31 | 00:13:34 | as all the other videos here |
00:13:32 | 00:13:35 | all right hope you enjoyed the video me |
00:13:34 | 00:13:47 | and my 115 dollars |
00:13:35 | 00:13:47 | we'll hopefully see in the next one |
