welcome everybody. my name is Marcus tone and in this video you will learn simple way how we can easily add gallery for your Shopify site. so let's start first. what you want to do is just scroll down below to the description and click on a link. when you will have it, you will get on the cycle. else side, outside, is amazing company with a lot of widgets. in one of the widgets they make is photo gallery. let's sign up for free. let's sign with Gmail, Facebook or normal mail is up to you, and when you have it, let's click login. now, here in applications, you want to write photo and you're gonna see their photo gallery. let's create a widget. so right now, we got a trailer product seller, photo shoots, wedding photographer- you can really choose which one you like. I also like this one here: travel: right now, let's continue with the template. now we can change the content. you can upload the photos here. it's pretty simple, it's pretty easy. so all this is like really great. I don't know if it's true. it looks like news you want. I like what are those ships doing here? so, Wow, how crazy. that's a good photo. now you can change the layout. you can change it so, as agreed like: really choose which one you like. Add Gallery Template to the Flex Theme in Shopify
hey, scott austin here from jade puma. in this video i'm going to explain how to create a new gallery template in the flex theme. so i'm using this fraggle tribe store that i'm building as an example here and you can see they've got multiple lookbooks and each one of these lookbooks is a page, right, i can see that up here, and if i click on the edit page functionality there and open it up in the shopify admin, what you'll see is the template that is applied is the pagegallery-3 template. now the theme comes with a pagegallery template, but only one of them. and the thing is, if i look at another one of these lookbooks, which is also a page, you know, with a gallery template, and i edit this one in the shopify admin, it's going to have a different template applied to it. this is gallery dash 4.. and the reason for that is: notike, there's no content here in the page, right? so all the content that is showing up on this page, all the photos, that information is stored in the theme settings. so over here in the shopify admin, i've got my uh customized theme functionality open on one of these pages already. uh, one of these uh lookbook pages, and you can see here under gallery. if i open up that section, that's where all of the image information is stored, right, all the all the photos and any links that are in them. um, so if i was to apply the same- you know- gallery 4 template to another page, it would have the exact same content. i couldn't have two separate pages with the gallery temp. the same gallery template apply with different photo galleries. so every time you create a new photo gallery page, you have to create a new photo gallery page template. so what i'm going to do is show you how to do that and it's actually pretty simple. we're going to go edit our theme code, but we're not actually going to edit code. we're just be doing copying and pasting inside of the theme code. so this is the kind of process that people without any code skills could totally do if they follow these steps here. so let's go into edit code. so i went into online themes or online store themes, and right now i'm working in the live theme. so i'm going to edit the code and that live theme and what i'm going to do is close out anything that's already been opened. all right, so if i look under this template section here, you'll notike i've got a pagegalleryliquid now. i've got pagegallery one through nine for the eight different lookbooks that i've already created, and we're going to make a nine here. but your, your theme, when you open it up, should have a pagegalleryliquid. now, if i look at that file, you'll see that it has, um, a couple sections in there of a banner and a gallery main. so what i'm going to do to start off, is i'm going to click on this add new template and i'm going to add a new template and it's going to be a page template and it's going to be named gallery nine, right, because i've already got one through eight. you can also, you know, name it for what the gallery is going to be about. if you wanted to, um, you know, gallery 2021 or whatever, um, or baseball or you know what, whatever, it doesn't have to be a number, right, you can put any any kind of- you know, allowed characters in there. so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to take this pagegalleryliquid file that i already have open, i'm going to select all of that text and i'm going to copy it. then i'm going to go to the page, gallery 9, liquid section that i just created and i'm going to delete all that code that's in there and just paste the code that came from the gallery liquid. i'm going to save that now. so now i've got a gallery 9 liquid file but it's referring to this section and i need a unique section. just like i needed a unique template, i need need a unique section for every one of these uh pages that i'm doing it for. and let me just show you as an example here: if i open up gallery eight, you'll see that you know what it's got is a gallery dash eight. so what i'm gonna do is i'm going to my gallery 9 liquid section and i'm going to add- or yeah, in the template i'm going to add- a reference to the gallery 9 section. so now that section doesn't exist and i need to create it. so i'm going to copy and i'm going to go into now my sections here and add a new section. i'm going to paste the name that i just put. you know, copied page 9, page gallery 9 main. create that and now i'm going to in my sections find the original page: gallery main, liquid file. ctrl a to copy your artist, highlight all that text, right clicking to do copy, going over here, selecting it all, right clicking and saying paste. now i'm going to save that and i'm going to close out the section that i use for reference and i'm going to save both those files. and now when i go to create a new page. so if i go into, so now i'm done with the code edits that i need to do, right. so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to go create a new page and i'm just going to call it gallery and i'm going to apply the template, gallery 9, and then what i'm going to do is i'm going to theme customization. i'm going to refresh this so it brings up a new list of pages. so up here i'm going to select gallery 9.. and there is no gallery nine yet, so let's see if i can refresh it again. sometimes the server takes a second. we make a change over here before it'll show up over here. just gonna view that so that that page does exist and you can see it's blank. it's got empty content. so i should be able to pretty soon here. i'm gonna close this one out. i'm gonna open up theme customization again so it loads up all the data it needs to load up there it is gallery and you'll see here, just like we saw in the front end of the website, here in the shopify admin, there's no content loaded, and that's because here i have this gallery 9 section that's empty right now. now here's another fun little tip for you is i'm going to- because what happens sometimes is you get a lot of these um sections created and things get a little confusing. so what i'm going to do here- let's just call this, you know, an advanced trick- is i'm going to open up that section that i had just created and it's gonna say page gallery nine. and what i'm gonna do here is, under the, the schema, where it says gallery, i'm gonna say gallery. so right here under schema, the name gallery 9, and sometimes the name is also set in settings and there is no name set there. so we're good now if i save this and i refresh this page. shopify server's taking a little bit of time here, but it's still thinking and here you can see now, instead of it just saying gallery, it says gallery nine. so this can be a little trick to use to adjust the names of your sections so that you know which you know one you're looking at. um, this is a good troubleshooting thing because sometimes you know, the template for eight will actually be pointing to the section for eight or four, seven kind of thing. this is a good way, a good check and balance, to keep that uh straight. so that is how we create a new gallery template in the flex theme. hopefully this is Picture Wall Collage Section for Shopify - No Apps or Subscription
hi everyone. in this tutorial we're going to create this section right here which is a gallery of pictures and you can hover and it makes the picture bigger, and also in your sim editor you should be able to manipulate or drag the images and replace the position. to start, we have to go to our shopify store, so in here we go to teams and we're not going to edit the live team. instead we're going to do the debut team and you click actions and edit code and let's expand our screen a little bit. so click this button right here and we're gonna go find our section folder. so in the section folder we're going to add a new section and we're going to name this one custom collage and create a section. first we're going to create a div, our container, so we're going to have div right here. this one. we're going to have a class and we're going to call this one custom collage and we're just going to close it here and inside our custom collage i would like to create a class as well. so div, and then this one, we're going to call this custom black and close this one too. now in our custom black i would like to put our images. let's have an image right here, so img, and we're gonna have the source or src is equal to later. we're gonna have our black settings. close that. and in here let's change our section name to custom collage. so we're gonna add black. so put a comma right here on the settings and say blacks, and in the blacks we're gonna have a name and this one we're gonna call collage image and also we're gonna have a type as well and this one we're going to call collage underscore image and also we're going to have to assign the settings and this one we have to call our image picker. so we're going to have a tie and we're going to have image underscore picker and also we need an id. so this one we're going to call collage underscore image and also we need a label, collage image- to be able to call our section. in the team editor we have to assign a preset. so at the end of the closing bracket for the blocks we're going to put a comma and we're going to assign a preset. in here we're going to put a name and we're going to assign custom latch. so in our section right here we need to add our black settings but we need to call our section blocks. so we're gonna add a four statement and here we're gonna say four blocks in section blocks and we're gonna have our and four in here before the last div. oh, and four here in our source. we're gonna call the section black, so we're gonna have blacks settings and we're gonna call our id or our image speaker, which is collage underscore image, and in the image you need to have an image url. so here we're going to have an amg underscore url and here we're gonna assign large, so it's just the size of your picture. let's see our team editor. click save on this one and then click on this customized team. right here i'm just gonna right click to open a new tab. so let's close the sections right here, so we have our sections only. so we're gonna add a section and we're gonna look for custom collage. so right here, click this one and we have this: add collage image. click that one and let's see if we can add an image select. okay, that's working. now what we're gonna do is to have our grid, so let's go back to our code right here. so now let's add our style sheet and we're gonna go here. we're just gonna work on the same page so it's easier to see, and we're gonna transfer our style sheet later to a new file, okay, so what we're gonna do here we're going to call our custom collage right here. so we're going to have custom full edge and in here i'd like to assign our width and height, so with 100 i 100, and also in this one we're gonna use a grid. so let's do a display grid and in display grid we have to assign a gutter, so let's have a gap. so we're going to name both together for rows. on the columns, so let's assign 15 pixels right here and let's add a padding as well for our container and let's have 50 pixels. so in the grid we need to name columns. so here this is total of six columns. this is one, two, three, four, five, six and three rows. so i did, uh, have a template right here. so there's six columns: one, two, three, four, five, six and then three rows. so let's do that in our section as well. so in here we're gonna have grid template columns and we're gonna do a repeat and this one we're gonna have six columns and the same size, so we're gonna assign, uh, one fraction. in here we're gonna have the rows, grid template rows, and also, we're going to have a repeat and we're going to have three rows and in here i'm going to assign 15 viewport with 15 viewport where it really works well with the placement and with the image size, click save and let's go to our team editor, let's refresh, so our image is going to be assigned by default on our first row and our first column. so let's right click right here and click inspect to open our div tools and let's choose the custom collage right here and click on the grid. so in here our photo is a little bit short for our container, right? so let's fix that. so let's go to our image right here and we're going to add a class, so class and we're going to call this collage image. and we're going to go to our style sheet right here and we're going to call our collage image and let's assign a width and a height as well. so 100 height, 100, and in here i'm gonna use the object fit, so object fit is equal to cover. so let's click save and check our team editor and refresh this one and right click and inspect. so that's good, right. so now we're gonna assign our image to our grid area. so first we have to name our areas. i have used right here a template and i've been using the alphabet to name the areas faster. let's do that in our section. so we're going to go to our section and in our custom collage we're going to have a grid template: areas. this is how we name our grid areas. so we're just gonna use quotation marks right here and this quotation marks represent the rows. we're gonna have the first row, second row and third row right here. so we're going to copy this alphabets right here for our first row. let's do that here, um. we'll have a and make sure we have a space in between a, b, b, c and d and we're going to go to our second row. let's copy this one right here. we're going to have e, f, b, b, g, g and our third row. we'll have h, f, i, j, j, k and click save and let's go to our team editor and let's refresh right click again the image and inspect. so let's click our grid button right here. so in here, um, to show our grid names, we have to go to our layout and click this, show area names and right here we have our names. next we have to assign our blocks to this grid areas. to do that, we have to add our style in our custom black, and why we're not adding it in our style sheet is because if we add it in here, the blacks will have the same grid areas. so what we want is in our custom black or in our blocks we'll assign it to a certain area. so let's do that here. so we'll do style and we're going to have grid area to be able to assign the blacks to a certain area. we have to use the for loop index and to do that we have to call for loop right here and we're going to use the case statement. so, right here, we're going to have case full loop, that index and we're going to close our case statement right here. so in case, and we're going to add our win statement. so when one, we want the first black to be assigned to grid area a right, so let's put a here. so this statement is just saying like, in case, our for loop, that index is equal to one, we're going to use the grid area a, which we name it in our template areas right here, in our template right here, we need 11 images, so let's have 11 when statement right here. so we're going to copy this one, ctrl c and then and ctrl v to paste. we need 11, so that's 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.. let's just move this one so it's aligned to others. now in here we're gonna assign our index equal to their alphabet, so our grid areas, and i'm just gonna fast forward this video: 11 is How To Add A Gallery To Shopify | Shopify Gallery Tutorial
hey guys, Jason here with Quantum courses, and in this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how to easily add an image gallery to your Shopify homepage. on Shopify, you can easily add an image gallery to your home page with clickable links to send customers directly to your product listing Pages, product collections or anywhere else you like. not only does the gallery provide a great way to send customers to desired products and pages, but also improves the look of your Shopify homepage as well. in this video, I'll be demonstrating how to add a new gallery to your Shopify homepage, how to add images to your gallery and how to link your images to your products or any other location you wish. so let's head over to Shopify and go over how to add a gallery to your home page. if you haven't joined Shopify yet, make sure you access your free trial by heading over to jasongandyinfo or by clicking the link in the video description. no credit card is required to get your free trial and, if you like it, you can get three months of Shopify for only a dollar per month on select plans. if you're an entrepreneur, Shopify is definitely the most popular and one of the best platforms you could use to build your online business. so now that you've unlocked Shopify. let's log in and go over how to add a gallery to your Shopify homepage. once you log in, you should be taken to your Shopify dashboard. here's where you can add products, view your analytiks, update your online store and more. to add a gallery to our Shopify homepage, we're gonna need to customize our theme. to do this, let's look at the menu on the left hand side and click on the online store tab. this should take you to the themes page, where you can select a new theme or customize your current theme. depending on the theme you select, there may be slightly different settings, such as the amount of photos you can add to each Gallery, but the setup process is pretty much the same. for my demo store, I'm currently using the minimal theme. so to add a new image gallery to my Shopify store, let's look on the right hand side here and click on the customize button. this will take you to the Shopify theme editor where you can fully customize your Shopify homepage. as you can see, I've already added several sections to my home page, but I want to add an image gallery with clickable links to send customers to my featured products. so let's look at the menu on the left here. scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on the add section tab. this will open up the theme sections menu where you can select a new section to add to your Shopify homepage. if we check out the various sections, we should see an option that says Gallery. let's go ahead and click that now. a new Gallery section should now be added to your menu on the left. on the home page preview, you can also see the gallery template at the bottom of the page. so now that I have a gallery section, let's go over how to add my first image. if we look at the gallery section on the left, we'll see various tabs for our images. so let's go ahead and click the first image tab here. here's where you can select the new image to add to your Shopify Gallery. if we click on the select image button, we'll see that there are actually two separate options to add images to your gallery. you can either upload your own images from your library or you can select from tons of free images available on Shopify. if we take a look at the free images on Shopify, we can see they have tons of different categories to choose from. each category will have hundreds, if not thousands of images that you can browse through and add to your Shopify store, but for my Shopify store, I want to display images showing my actual products. so let's go back over to the library Tab and go over how to upload our own images. the type of gallery you're adding to your store will determine the type of images that you need to use. you can have a gallery showing featured products, items on sale, your product collections or anything else you can think of. for my demo store, I want to create a gallery showing some of my featured products. feel free to upload any image that you wish to use for your gallery, but when you're ready to go pro, you should check out the professional mock-up templates available on placing. placeit allows anyone to quickly create high quality product mock-ups in seconds with their easy to use mock-up templates and editor. they have thousands of image and video mockups that you can customize with your own design, brand logo or any other image you wish. with thousands of templates to choose from, you can quickly create mock-ups for t-shirts, phone cases, hoodies, coffee modes, face masks and many other items. to give place it a try, make sure you head over to jasongandyinfo or simply click the link in the video description. so now that I have some good images to use for my gallery, let's go down and click on the upload button. I can now find and open up my first image. your image will then be uploaded to your Shopify library and once it's finished, you'll be able to see a preview of your image in the gallery template on the right. if everything looks good, go ahead and go down to the bottom and click on select. so my first image has been added to my gallery. if you needed to change or remove your image, you could use the drop down menu. here I'm adding images of my featured products, and my first product here is my woman's crop hoodie. showing the mock-up image in my gallery is great, but I wanted to link to my actual product. if you look at the bottom of the menu on the left, you should see the image Link Box. you could simply paste in the link you want to add to your image. but if you click the text box, you'll see a menu pop up with various sections that you can link to your image. since my images of my crop hoodie, let's go to the products Tab and find my women's crop hoodie so I can link the listing page to my image. from here, you can view all of the products that you currently have in your Shopify store. go ahead and find the one you want to add to your image and click it to select it. there we go. my link has now been added to my image. to preview your link, you can use the little icon on the right hand side here and, as it should, the link takes me directly to my woman's crop hoodie listing page, where customers can view the product and make a purchase. so now that I've added my image and the link to my product, let's go up to the top right and click on save. my first clickable image has now been added to my gallery, so now let's go back, go down to my gallery section and do the same thing for my other images. I have already used placeit to create several mock-up images of my products, so let's go ahead and upload them and add them to my gallery. in my Shopify demo store, I sell clothing and apparel items home in living items and even hats and beanies. so once you add your images and your links, go ahead and save everything and let's head back to our home page. editor. so, as you can see, I've added my product mock-ups to the three image tabs available under the gallery section. if you wanted to add an additional image, you can go down to the add image tab at the bottom here. if you click this, a new image tab will be added to the gallery section. for my minimal theme, I can only have 4 images per Gallery, so the add image tab will now be grayed out. so let's go ahead and add a fourth featured product to my gallery. for this image, I think I'll use my ceramic coffee mug. so, as you can see, my gallery on the right now has a row of 4 images instead of three. I think this actually looks pretty good, but I don't like it being all the way down at the bottom of my home page. so let's go over to the gallery section on the left, go over to the three dots icon on the right hand side and click and drag the gallery section of my home page just below my shop welcome message. now my customers will have an easier time finding my featured products, but right now it only shows my images and doesn't have a title or a description to show what
How To Create A Gallery Page in Shopify With App

mailingleastconversionchefclub. let's jump into the video: [Music]. if you are looking for a great application that focuses on creating a gallery on your ecommerce store, you are on the right video. this application helps you create a gallery in your store. image gallery and video by ea is a simple application, however, with a huge help on your store. now let's go to the application. as you can see, this application is very straightforward. on the dashboard, you will be able to see a record of the image galleries, the total images, the video galleries and the total videos that you have created. you may also see here buttons for the create image gallery, for the video gallery and your current plan, as well as the faqs, the contact us button and the review button for this application. to create an image gallery, you just have to select this button. so let's create an image gallery. to create an image gallery, let's just click this button or widget and we have to enter our gallery name. so let's say that this is our sample gallery. now we are directed to the upload images section to upload images. just click on this link. so let's upload. so just select the pictures or images that you want to upload. you may see a progress notification and when it's uploaded, aside from clicking on the link, you may also drag and drop the images. so let's try there. so, if you are okay with these images, just click upload. after that, you may check the images that you have uploaded. so let's go to the gallery. as you can see, here is the list of the images that you have uploaded. now there are four or five columns on this list, so the first one is the images. you may enter your caption, the alt tag and the image link. the last column is your actions, if you want to edit the image and as well as if you want to delete the image. now you want to customize how your gallery looks like. just go to the settings. so here are the images. this is how it looks like as of now, but you may customize that by by changing the general settings as well as the style settings. so let's see. so select display mode. you may also change the pop up background color, opacity and just play around this area if and change the information or customize the properties according to your preferences. so if you're okay with the gallery, you may now save that. now, after creating your gallery, it is not automatikally added to your pages. so let's install our gallery. just click install. now you have two options on installing your gallery. the first one is to install the gallery to your page. now you may select the gallery, the pages that you want your gallery to appear on. so let's say that you want to display your gallery to your home page. so just select that and select the position. on the positioning, there are all. there are only two options. you may just display it on the top of the page or at the bottom of the page. these options is just limited to two, which will not let you customize on the sections you want to add your gallery on. so click install and let's preview that on our store. since we have installed it at the bottom of our page, let's check. so there you go, it is already at the bottom of your home page. what if i want to put my sample gallery on this section. on this section, we can do that by manually installing our gallery. it says here that if you want to install the gallery on a different section of your page, just copy this code. now let's copy that and let's go to our store. in your store, just go to your themes. on your theme, let's customize that so, as you can see on the left, here are the sections of your page. now we have to add a section and that is a custom content select and let's add content: custom html. so just paste custom code in order for us to move this section, just drag, drag here. so just save that and let's preview. so here you go. you have already installed your sample gallery on the section that you preferred. just play around the settings so that you will be able to create the best design for your gallery and so that it would fit to your page. the same process goes to the video gallery. you just have to follow the process on how we created an image gallery. that is also the same process for the video gallery. now, if you wish to remove this section, your sample gallery, just remove it on these customizers or in this section. so this is our custom content. so just click the i icon so that you will not. you will be able to remove it on your page, however. however, if you have installed your gallery using this first option, you have to go to the uninstall. so with this, you have to select which page to remove. which page do you want to remove your gallery from? so select page. so, for example, if you have placed or installed your gallery on your home page, just select that. or on your image gallery, just select that and click uninstall and you are okay now with that. now on the pricing, on the free version of this application, you you can only create one gallery. so if you are going to create more than one gallery, then you have to upgrade your plans: the basic, premium, advance and unlimited. so you may also refer on the section on the support or faqs section for some assistance. there are only two questions on the faqs, which is to how to install the image and the video gallery. but if you need some assistance, just click on this so that you will be able to send an email to their customer support. i guess that is everything about the image gallery and video by How to Optimize Product Images for Shopify
Hey guys, In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to optimize product images for Shopify. Let's get into it. I want to thank you for consuming our content. That really means a lot to us. Okay, Now back to your regularly scheduled content. You have really two options here. First, you can go to apps, and you can go to the App Store and you can find some sort of app that will help you resize these images. I believe crush pics is a good one: image optimizer + compression. they do have a free plan. So I would say, if you have a lot of products in your store and you want an easy way to do that, then I would go this route. If not, then I wouldn't add more bulk and code to your store. that's unnecessary. So the second option would be to use something like bulkresizephotoscom. this allows you to just drag & drop images in there, and the good thing about this is that, for example, if I do choose images, I'm going to click on this bone image- I can actually click on file size and I can specify the actual kilobytes that I want this image to be. So typically, when you take pictures with your iPhone or a professional camera, these photos are going to be megabytes. So if you have some external person doing the photography, you can actually ask them to get you images that are less than two hundred kilobytes. That's usually what's recommended. If you have less than that and the images still look really good, then that's even better for you. But typically you want to do less than 200 kilobytes per photo. But you can also, if they don't provide that avatar for a professional services provider, or if you're taking your own product images with your iPhone, or maybe you bought some sort of DSLR camera, then you will have to do something like this. Bulk Resize Photos is free. It's easy. Here you can actually specify the actual file size that you want. Basically hit start and download the picture. I want to upload that picture into your product. So I want to go to products and go to this one, And then in here you see that I have that picture in there. It's already been optimized as far as file size. So that's a number. one thing that you want to do is make sure that your file size is somewhat manageable. You're not into the megabytes, You're into 200 kilobytes or less. Another big thing that you can do here, and I would recommend everyone to do, is add multiple images. Adding multiple images will allow you to have a better user experience, And then you can also add alt text to these images. You can add different alt text images just to kind of get a few more keywords in there as far as SCO. So if we click on this image, we're able to see some information about the image, And then down here, the left bottom corner, we have crop and rotate. You can actually draw. So there's, let's say, like a red circle or something for some reason on this image. you can actually make a little quick fix on that. You can also resize the image, but not in the sense of file size, like we did earlier from Bulk Size Photos. And then the next thing we want to do is right here there's a button or blue text link that says add alt text. In this instance we're going to add 'dog treats' and then we're going to save the alt text. Now if we have multiple images for the partikular product, then for the alt text I can actually, for the next one, do maybe 'canine treats'- If that's a keyword that's relevant to your productus, just to add more keywords to your store and to your photos. After doing that, and if you have variants, you can also assign pictures of two different variants. So right now, if we don't assign a picture, this main image will be the one that gets assigned to all these. If you have different images, you can assign different images to different variants depending on the size options. So let's say you're selling- the first thing that comes to my mind is tins- or you're selling tins of, maybe candy. You have a small one, you have a medium one and you have a large one. All these images you can actually put them and assign them to each of those. That will give again a better user experience. When the customers are adding maybe a medium size of tin for that partikular product, it will actually show that image in there. I think this will be maybe more relevant. if your variants are colors right- Let's say you're selling T-shirts, You have red, blue and yellow- You can actually assign the yellow to the yellow product etc. and that will actually showcase in their cart or in the checkout process, which will provide a better user experience in general. I think that's all we have for today. As far as optimizing some of these images, one of the most important things again is the file size, Just to make sure that these images load fast on everyone's computers when they're loading your website. and then adding alt text to these images again will help with keywords and people who are searching for these things. It would absolutely help you. Obviously, just having multiple images as well per product will help you definitely in the long run, and then especially with the user experience as well.
