Algorithm Secrets Instagram Doesn't Want You to Know
why does Instagram promote certain content? so I've studied the Instagram algorithm to figure out why some accounts gain millions of followers While others never seen much success at all. Instagram just made an algorithm update and there are tons of content on YouTube all over the place- videos online that are just pushing outdated strategies. so we're going to cut through all that noise and I'm going to show you some growth hacks that are going to help you explode your reach right now. if you're trying to grow your account for your business or because you want to become an Instagram Creator, then just keep on watching this video, because I've got what you need. but before we hop into it, hey guys, what's up? what's going on? my name is Michelle Valley, I am a creative strategist, and this YouTube channel is called learn with Shopify. it is an official Shopify YouTube channel that's going to help you start, run and grow an online business. so if you are an entrepreneur- maybe you're an aspiring entrepreneur- then make sure that you are hitting that subscribe button to learn everything that you need to know, all the way from starting your own Shopify store to running Facebook ads. so make sure that you're hitting subscribe. [Music] now, if you guys aren't already aware, Instagram recently made an algorithm update and one of the major changes was that they Amalgamated all the video content- now to be in reals. so why is this important? it's important because reels are going to be the key to boosting your reach and getting more followers on Instagram. the CEO of Instagram announces change and the truth is, showing your IG reels to a wider audience is actually an Instagram's best interest. there's a little bit of a fire under Instagram's butt because tik tok's coming in hot for some tough competition coming from tiktok, so Instagram needs to start prioritizing more video content, because that's what people want to see these days. short video content is the new currency of attention now. considering that Instagram used to be a photo sharing app, this next piece of advice may be a little bit confusing, but what I think you should do is I think you should abandon photos altogether. literally forget carousels, forget single photos. just make reels all day, every day. focus on making reels, because they're going to get you 120 more reach than photos could foreign captions on your reels. this is because only 15 of people are actually watching their video with their sound on, so if you don't have captions, you're going to be missing out on the other 85 of people. they're just going to scroll right by your stuff, so make sure that you are adding captions in order to hook people in. so if you want to add captions, you're just going to go and grab the caption stiker like this and it will automatikally generate captions. now, if you're not loving the native tool within Instagram, then you can actually check out the App Store. there's going to be tons of free options there and it will give you more control of the look and the feel of your captions. Instagram also launched some new content creation features. that's going to help make your videos more interesting and more Dynamic. so we've got dual, which allows you to record on the back side of your phone while also showing your reaction, and then we also have green screen and split screen, just like tiktok. these features are really great because if you are trying to create content with added spice, you don't have to go into post-production. you can literally just edit it right within Instagram. this makes content creation a little bit more scalable if you are trying to post really frequently and really consistently. so definitely leverage these tools. start your videos off with a hook, so people are actually going to lose interest in less than two seconds. that is a fact of life- two seconds before someone starts to scroll. so you want to start your video with audio and visuals that take up a lot of space. maybe someone's jumping into frame, maybe of someone's dancing, maybe you have like a really crazy interesting fact you're sharing right away, or maybe you have like crazy visuals of like someone skydiving or like a landfill or something. maybe you're telling a joke with a quick punchline, I don't know. the point is is that the hook is what is going to get people to continue to watch, and then, when Instagram sees that your content is being watched, they're going to push it out to more people, which means more exposure for you. so how often should you be posting? well, you should be posting one to two times per day in the current state that Instagram is in, and I know it's like: should you quit your day job in order just to do this? but if you choose formats that are simple to complete, you can actually make it a lot easier on yourself. it can be time consuming- yes, that's true, but- but honestly, anything worthwhile is. so if you're posting reels and you're doing that consistently, you're going to be golden. actually, I'm currently working with an e-commerce brand, and one of the things that we've notiked- even though we're a brand that has a really large following- is that nothing other than reels is working right now. so take it from me: reels is the key to exposure and it's going to be the key to more followers. Instagram is making a point to make their search function better on the platform. so when you think about the way that YouTube or Google search function works, you know that when you search something, you're going to get the results that you're looking for. so Instagram is trying to improve that about their platform. so what that means for you is: you want to include keywords. you think people will be searching into Instagram, into your content and into your profile. so, like, let's say, you run a business where you do people's nails, for example, maybe you're a nail tiknician. then you might want to include the keywords nail tiknician in your bio, your captions, your hashtags, all that. so make sure that you're focusing on keywords. So, speaking of hashtags, are they dead? hashtags Aren't Dead. they're not, but they're definitely different from what they used to be. now the best way to use hashtags is to create amazing content that people are going to want to see. then, based on your engagement. the Instagram algorithm understands that your content is keeping people on the platform and and that's when it starts to push content on the hashtag pages and explore pages. so, essentially, your content isn't going to get more views or more followers just because you're using hashtags, but if your content is good, then Instagram will start to Leverage The hashtags that you've used to give you an extra push. it's Instagram's World. we're just living in it. but if you ask me my personal opinion, don't ask, but I'm gonna say it anyways. I actually don't like hashtags. I find them to be like cluttered and not necessary, but they still work. and if you are serious about Instagram growth and you want to seize every opportunity you can in order to explode your account, then use them. so if you do want to learn more about how you can create really amazing content and blow up your Instagram following, then I recommend you download this free social media template. it is designed to help you create a rock solid Instagram strategy and you're going to learn how to create content that breaks through all that noise that we're seeing on social media, and you're gonna really learn how to provide value to your audience and make you money online. so that that sounds good to you. you can click the link right over here or in the description box below. don't worry, it's not going to stop this video. it's just going to open a new tab so that you can have it ready for when you're done watching this video here. posting times- the time at which you post your content- is really important, because the minute you post your content, you want to show Instagram that your video is popping, that there's tons of people watching and engaging. but the thing with that is that you need to make sure that

How to connect Shopify to Meta and create Facebook and Instagram Shops and Tag Products
Welcome to this training on how to set up your Facebook and Instagram shops using your Shopify store, So I will preface this training with the fact that this area changes a lot, So even in the last year, we've seen lots and lots of little changes, So if your screenshots look different to mine, if something's not working as it should, please let me know, And I'll update the training Right. The other thing I want to mention is, because there are so many steps involved in this. I've actually put together a little checklist for you, So jump in into the download section of this lesson, and you can download the download, which will be your checklist with all of the steps that we're going to cover off. Now let's dive in. The first thing we need to do is make sure that you have a business manager account. Now here's where things get a little bit tricky, because there's lots of different variables here, So the first thing we're going to do, though, is we're going to dive into businessfacebookcom, So if we just go straight to that URL, that will show us what we're working with. So there's kind of three different things that you might see at this point. So, first off, you might see a screen that looks a little bit like this. Now, what that tells me is that you definitely have a business manager account set up, So you can go ahead and click on the little cog icon at the bottom there and go straight into business settings. So our goal for this next step is to get you with a business manager account set up and into business settings. So, first of all, if this is what you see, go straight into your business settings and then just wait for us, wait for the rest of us to catch up. Now the other thing you might see is the screen here. So this tells me that you don't have a business manager account set up. So I want you to go ahead and click the blue button that says Create account, And I want you to go ahead and create that business manager account. Once you're in there, I want you to click on business settings And, again, just wait for us once we get there. Now, the most common thing you might see when you go to businessFacebookcom is this: So this is business suite and it's like a dashboard. Now, this doesn't mean you don't have a business manager account. It can be hiding behind here. So let's jump in and have a look and see if there is a business manager account hiding behind this business suite. So what we're going to do is look for more tools here on the left. So I'll click on more tools Now. remember, our goal is to get to business settings. so some of you might actually see business settings listed down here. If that's the case, I want you to go ahead and click on it. Now, this is telling me that I don't have a business manager account set up, so I'll go ahead and create that. So once I've done that, I'm going to show you the other thing that you might see if you're in that business suite. Now, first of all, follow me through, if you need to, on how to create a business manager account. Really simple: I'm just going to pop in my details here. So my business is called Quirky Pet co. I'm going to pop my email address in there and then we will have to confirm that. So once I've done this, I'll need to jump into my emails and confirm that I have access to that email address. Great, So I've confirmed my email address and now does is take me into my new business manager account And remember, our goal is to get to business settings. So I'm going to click on business settings down here, and this is where I want everyone to be. Now you may - let's take a step back. You may have gone to businessFacebookCom. It's taken you into your business suite, Stik with me Business suite. You've clicked on more tools, but you don't have business settings down here. If that's the case, I want you to click on Ads Manager. I'm going to get in sort of through the back door, So we're going to click on Ads Manager and that's just going to take a minute to load. Once that's loaded, I'm gonna click on the three lines here on the left, the little hamburger, And I'm gonna find business settings there. so you can see how there's so many different ways that we can get to business settings. But hopefully you've found your way here, because this is where I need you to be. I need you to be in your business settings. Next, we're going to start running through the next steps on that checklist. So the next step is to make sure that our Facebook page is here sitting within our business manager. So we're gonna click on pages, We're going to add a page and we're going to add a page that we already own Now. this means that you need to be an admin on that page. So I'm going to click on add a page and I'm going to search for the page I am looking for There. it is there, and then I'm going to click add a page. Now Facebook is going to recognize that I'm an admin on that page or I own it, and it's going to say, Yep, we'll pop that in there. Now, if someone else owns that page, you'll need to get them to approve that. They'll get a request to say that this business manager has asked for ownership of that page and they'll have to approve it. So we'll close that down. The next thing on the list is to make sure that your Instagram account is within the business manager as well, So I'm just going to jump in there. I also noted on the checklist that it needs to be a professional account. If you don't know what I mean by that, go back to the lesson on how to set up your Instagram account correctly and you'll see how to switch that to a professional account. But I'm going to click on Instagram accounts on the left here. I'm going to go add and see here We need to connect up our Instagram account. so I'll click on that. It's going to ask me to log in. Great. So I'm logged in there to my Instagram account. I'm going to click save info, save information, And now what it's asking me there is which ad account to associate with that Instagram account. So don't worry about that. We'll just click on Finish and then done, Great. So the next thing we need to do is create our Pixel. So we're going to click on data sources and pixels and then we're going to add and we're going to create a new Pixel. So the Pixel is the little piece of code that connects up our Shopify store with our ad account and also feed through our products and things. So it's a really important step. so I can just leave it as that is the name. Don't worry about putting the URL in there. We're going to click continue, Cool. And we're just going to say continue managing my business. So don't worry about taking any more steps on your Pixel. You can tik that off on the list. Next thing on the list is making sure that your domain is verified. So what we need to do is go down here to brand safety, Click on domains we're going to add. Now I want to put you to put in the domain of your Shopify store without the www. So this one is QuirkyPetcoCom. We're going to click Add and then that's going to give us a little bit of code. See this meta tag here. So what we want to do is we want to copy that meta tag and we need to take that, And then we need to take that over to Shopify. So let's head on over to Shopify, Right? So now we're in Shopify, We're going to click on our online store and we need to put that little meta tag inside the header tag on our theme. So we're going to click on Actions, We're going to click on edit code. Once that's loaded, we are going to click on our theme, liquid, which is this top one here, And then can you see here where it says head. So there's the start of the header code and if we scroll on down, we should see the end of the header code. See it here Now. I always put the meta tag in the very last bit before the end. So pop a couple of enters in there and then just pop that meta tag in there. So that's what we have taken from Facebook. We're going to click Save and then we need to pop back over to Facebook and we n.

INSTAGRAM MARKETING 101: Grow Your Business By Using Hashtags, Stories & More!
why is my instagram dead? that is the number one question that i'm getting from small business owners and entrepreneurs right now. so if you've notiked a decline in your engagement or maybe your follower count, don't take it personally. it's definitely happening to everyone. it's just very competitive on instagram right now. however, there are definitely specific steps that you can take in order to cut through the competition. so if you're looking to promote your business and make some money, today's video i'm going to walk you through each step so that you can get out there and start killing it on instagram. [Music]. but before we go any further, i just want to introduce myself. my name is michelle and i am a creative strategist, and if you're just stumbling upon this channel, welcome to learn with shopify. learn with shopify is the channel to get all the knowledge that you need if you are an online entrepreneur and you're starting, running or growing an online business. just recently, we dropped a video on how to do tik-tok marketing, so if that kind of content would be useful to you, make sure that you are hitting subscribe. so i work with countless small business owners and i started notiking a trend. i started notiking that they were saying they were lacking engagement or that they were having a hard time making sales on instagram. so i went back, did some research and i found out exactly why this is happening to everyone and how you can beat the algorithm. okay, so first let me explain why you're actually having a hard time growing and making sales on instagram. every social media platform is gonna go through a life cycle, just like everything in life. so it's gonna start with launch, then it's gonna move on to growth and then monetization at its peak. now the first phase is the launch phase. so at this point, instagram was figuring out what their value proposition was. they were doing all that behind the scenes work and they were just getting started. if you were a business or if you were a creator on instagram at this time, this would have been a very easy time to grow. now, realistikally, you probably weren't, because you probably didn't even know instagram existed. the next phase is the growth phase. this is where instagram would have started to pick up some steam. so when you hear people saying, oh, instagram really isn't what it used to be, they're toking about that time when it was, you know, wild. there was a lot of engagement, you could have gained followers super quickly, and that all happened during the growth phase, so this would have been about five years ago, um, and at that point it was just really easy to grow your account. there was a lot of engagement and if you were on it enough to monetize back then you would have seen a lot of sales coming through. but if i think back to where i was at in 2016, i was probably somewhere on my couch in my living room hearing all my friends toking about instagram, but not on the platform yet. but those days have come and gone, my friends, because instagram is now at the monetization phase. they're really focusing on profit, so what they're doing is they are working with advertisers to sell users attention, so that really just allows them, you know, to pay their employees and run their business. instagram is no longer handing out exposure like it's halloween candy and they are the biggest house on the block, but instead they're keeping their exposure precious. they are only electing a small portion of the population to be the chosen ones. um, those people are getting all the growth. they're getting all the exposure. now, i know this sounds elusive, um, but you can be a chosen one. so here are the four things that you can do to make it to the other side, become a chosen one, so that you can start growing your business and start making sales. tip number one is: make content that no one has ever seen before. all right, so now that we know that instagram is in the profit or the monetization phase, we can gather that they're gonna be willing to help you if they can make a profit off of you. so, in other words, they're going to reward you with exposure if you keep users on the platform for longer. this is because that's going to mean they can show more ads to your audience and collect money from companies that are willing to pay for those ads. so if you make content that no one has ever seen before, you're going to help instagram reach their goal, and then they're going to help you reach your goal. so let's use this fake hot sauce brand just as an example of what not to do, okay, so rule number one in making scroll stopping content is: do not post bland product photos. product photos with a white backdrop is amazing, but those should be reserved for the product page on your online store or your shopify store. you're going to have a very hard time standing out by posting product photos like this on your instagram, but in sharp contrast. take a look at how you can still show your products, but in a creative and a different and fun way. so look at this guy: he's making hot sauce fountain. i think that is a genius and this is really going to make people stop and watch. so those people that are stopping and watching, they can potentially turn into followers and then one day down the line, they can turn into customers as well. also, don't try to be perfect. i know this one's a bit of a hard one, um, but perfection is 100 expected on instagram. so, to be different and to make content that people have never seen before, try adding a human element. so while this picture over here is- you know it's obviously stunning- this photo lacks a human element. you know. it's perfectly lit. it looks like maybe it was taken at a studio. so instead, embrace the human element with your photos and with your videos. so when we look at this video here, in contrast, we can see that you know, maybe it was taken with a smartphone. um, you can see people's natural reactions to how spicy the hot sauces are, and there's a story storyline behind it. so it has a human element. so keep that in mind as you're creating your content, ever wonder how you can make money on instagram, like the many influencers and brands that you see when you open up the app? register using the link below to gain access to a free webinar that's going to walk you through proven methods for growing an instagram following from scratch and the variety of ways that you can start monetizing with as little as a thousand followers. so in just 45 minutes, you're gonna learn strategies to get more engaged followers and you're gonna learn how to use instagram to drive traffic and sales to your store. so the next tip is to be consistent. now, i know you guys have definitely heard this advice before, but it's super important because being consistent tells instagram that you are a trustworthy account and that you are a reliable account. so if you're the type of person that has, you know, a hard time staying motivated and a hard time being consistent- i know it happens to all of us- here are a couple of really helpful tips for you guys. so number one: use a scheduling tool so you could use a free tool like later and later is going to allow you to schedule content so that it automatikally posts later. that way, you're not posting a ton when you're super motivated and then completely falling off the map when you start to get busy. so something like hootsuite, something like later, those are really going to help you stay on the ball and on track. secondly, set a dedicated time to plan and shoot your content. so if you decide on every sunday at six, for example, i recommend that you put a recurring event in your calendar and turn that alarm on baby, because once you hear that alarm, you're going to drop everything that you're doing and you're going to start creating. so the close sister of consistency is actually patience. so my last piece of advice for you is: just be more patient with yourself. if you're trying to be consistent, you're going to also have to be patient with yourself. growth right now on instagram is not going to happen.

[Music] first of all. what is instagram shopping? well, instagram shops sync all of the products that you have in your shopify store directly into your instagram account. this allows your customers to click on a shopping icon on your posts or your stories to buy your products directly from instagram. customers can view your entire product catalog without needing to leave their favorite social app. this makes for a much smoother experience for your customers, and we all know that less friction during the buying process equals more sales. on top of this, using instagram shopping makes it way easier on you as a business owner, because you can simply use shopify to track and manage your orders from multiple sales channels all in one place. you can even use shopify to expand into new audiences by running instagram ads, and when it comes to setting up instagram shopping on shopify, it could not be more simple. just connect your online store to the facebook sales channel and all your shopify products will automatikally sync into instagram. this makes creating ads and shoppable posts a breeze. before you do this, you'll need to make sure you've set up a facebook business page and have products in your facebook catalog. so, first things first, make sure that your personal account is converted to an instagram business account and make sure that your business sells physical goods that comply with instagram's commerce policies. then you need to connect your instagram account to a catalog. start by logging into your meta commerce manager. once you're in commerce manager, click add catalog. then choose the catalog type you'd like to create. if you're an online retailer, you're going to want to create an ecommerce catalog, then you need to upload your inventory. if you're selling a small amount of products, you can manually upload this product information to your catalog. or, as i mentioned, you can connect a partner platform like shopify to automatikally import all your items from there. you need to use the following steps: number one: from your shopify admin, click facebook under the sales channels in the left menu bar. number two: click set up to start in the instagram shopping section. step three: connect the required facebook accounts to the facebook sales channel. and step four: review and accept the terms and conditions. then click request approval. it does take 24 to 48 hours for facebook to review your products, but then boom, you can start selling on instagram. now let's go over the best tools that instagram shopping offers, which will help you promote your products on the app. the first is shoppable posts. these are just what they sound like. once you've synced up your online store with instagram, you can tag your products in any post on your feed. this makes it super easy for customers to click through directly from any post and shop and is a great way to make use of any user generated content, but more on that later- product stikers- similar to shoppable posts. product stikers let you tag your products in your instagram stories and, since there are over 500 million story views every single day- and growing- this is a great way to feature your products again in a way that is very clickable and engaging for your customers. if you've set up instagram shopping and added in some products, your profile will automatikally have a very handy view shop option that features all your synced products and any of the posts that mention them. this is a very useful one-stop shop for customers to see everything you offer all in one place. curating your products into collections is an awesome way to make it easier for your customers to shop. think of it like creating different product categories on your website for people to browse through, but you can now do that on instagram too. just note that as a business account, you will have to create the collection on facebook's commerce manager first, then enable instagram checkout in order to add it to your profile. last but not least, the built-in checkout that instagram offers helps you unlock even more features like live shopping for live streams, or the product launch feature, which lets you build hype for your products using countdowns and reminders, and if you're using shopify, it's pretty simple to set up the facebook channel in order to sync up your products and enable shop pay directly through your instagram checkout, which offers a really smooth and seamless process that is very easy to use for customers. unfortunately, this option is only available to american accounts as of this recording, but, fingers crossed, they'll expand eligibility sometime soon. by the way, if you want even more info on how to grow your instagram account and one: use product tags, as i mentioned before, the product tagging feature is one of the best ways to increase click through to your products and your store. not only can you tag your feed post, just like you tag other accounts, but you can now mention clickable products in your captions and add product tags to your stories and your reels. not only is this super helpful for customers to be able to shop your products, but tagging also helps you get discovered in the first place. instagram's shop tab is curated based on an algorithm, meaning that your tagged products can be shown to people who have never heard of you before, just because they've shown interest in similar products in the past. in many ways, this is a win-win, because you get to reach new people and customers get introduced to products that they're pretty likely to love. but typically only tagged products will get featured on this tab, so it's a really good idea to incorporate product tagging into your regular social media marketing. earlier this year, instagram also made the very exciting announcement that soon, customers will be able to tag any product in their own post from any brand. currently, you can only tag your own products when posting, but just think of how awesome it will be when your loyal customers can tag your products and spread the love for you. so it's worth it to set up your account properly now, so that you're all prepped and ready to go once this feature rolls out. number two: create shoppable ads. setting up instagram shopping lets you take your ads to the next level, which is what you want if you're going to be investing money into your marketing using shoppable ads inste.
How to Enable Instagram Shopping for your Shopify Business | Product Tagging & Shoppable Feed
how do you enable instagram product tagging for your shopify business and sell products directly from your instagram shop? [Music]. hi everyone, i'm lydia, and on this channel we tok about social media marketing for business and how to grow online: instagram, pinterest, facebook and other social media marketing strategy. if you're interested in these topics, make sure to subscribe before you leave. so if you don't know, instagram product tagging for shopify business is a bit different than for any other business, because the catalog creation is being made by shopify, so you won't need to create a manual catalog. shopify does that automatikally for you. so before you even think of applying for this feature on instagram, what you need to do is make sure that you don't have any errors in your products in your catalog. so in the products that you've listed on shopify, on your shopify page, make sure you have a title, a description and photos for every single one of your products, because that will allow your catalog to have no errors and the application for instagram product tagging will go a lot smoother. so now the first thing that you need in order to get instagram shopping on your instagram account is to have a facebook page for your business and make sure to do the setting that that button on your facebook page leads people to shop on your website. as well as that, make sure to have a profile image, a cover image, and grow your facebook page a little bit before trying to apply, because facebook wants to see activity on your account. the next thing that you need is an instagram business account, so turn your account into a business one, and after that you also need to grow your account a little bit as well. there isn't a set number of followers that you need to have, or of posts or stories posted, but you do need to have your account grown a bit because otherwise your risk of getting rejected on the motive that you don't have an established presence on instagram. so instagram says that you need to have an established presence on the account. so basically engage with your followers, have activity on your account and basically be credible as a brand on instagram. after you have that on your instagram account and you connect the two through business manager, through facebook business manager, by going to facebook business settings and accounts and connect your facebook page there and your instagram account, also make sure you are an admin for both of those, so you are a partner with your unique facebook account there for your business as well as an admin for your page. after that, what you'll be needing to do is to verify your domain. so to verify your domain you have to go to your facebook business manager, brand safety and domains. there you will need to add your domain without the www extension, so just add incomingsuccesscom. i usually use the third method of verifying the domain, which is adding the head code in an app in shopify. so you'll need to get that code, copy it and then go to shopify app store and install the head app. just type in head, and this is the app that you need to install. once you've done that, you will need to start the free trial. you have three days free trial and, don't worry, they won't charge you. but you can start the free trial and then go to special pages- all pages, site wide- and add your code there. once you save it, you'll need to wait a few minutes before facebook will find the code in your website. so wait a few minutes. then go back to facebook business manager, refresh the page and click verify. this is what you should be seeing: that your domain is verified and that the little round circle next to your domain is now green and says verified is no longer red. another thing i want to mention about domain verification is that you cannot apply for instagram product tagging if you have a domain with the extensionmyshopifycom. you need to purchase your own domain, and you can do so from shopify or you can go for a godaddy domain. the website is down below. they have a bunch of domains you can choose from, and here is how you add that domain to shopify after you purchase it. to add your new domain to shopify, all you need to do is sign into your shopify account, go to sales channels and online store and then click on domains. after that, you'll be able to buy a new domain, transfer an existing domain or connect an existing domain. so if you've already purchased a domain from godaddy, all you have to do is click on transfer domain and write the domain you want to add. after that, you'll be given instructions on exactly how to transfer that domain to your shopify account. after your domain verification is done, what you need to do is to apply for product tagging, and there are two ways in which you can do that. the first way is by going to your instagram account. just simply, as everyone else does, go to settings business and set up instagram shopping from there, you'll be asked to add the facebook page, the facebook account that you have, the catalog, the domain, and you'll be asked to agree with their policies. after that you'll be able to submit your account for review. another way you can apply for instagram product tagging on your shopify store is by going directly in shopify to the facebook sales channel app and just connect your facebook account there, connect your page, and then they will ask you to review the shop and they will ask you to apply to have a shop on instagram. usually, if this works and instagram improves your account for shopping, in a few days you'll get a notification on your instagram account saying you can start tagging products now and add a shop. option will be shown on your profile. if that doesn't happen and instagram doesn't approve your account, there are two ways in which you can appeal their decision. the first way is by going to your instagram app, to settings, business and shopping, and there you'll see the option of requesting another review and the reason which they didn't approve your account. so before you even think of applying again or requesting another review, make sure to take note of why they didn't approve before and make the changes that they ask you to make in order to get your account approved. then you can write them a reason why you think they should approve your account and ask them to review it again. the second way: if that doesn't work as well, you can go to shopify in the facebook sales channel app and there you will see the option of contacting facebook support directly, or you can do so by clicking the link below. even if you don't have a shopify business and are watching this, you can click the link below to contact facebook support regarding instagram shopping. they will ask you to add in a few details, maybe include a screenshot of what is not working, and they usually respond really fast and are very helpful. so click the link below and contact them. be sure to be signed into your facebook account when you're doing this. now, after you finally get approvals, left for you to do is to start tagging products in your posts, in your stories and, of course, creating and designing a shop that is unique to your brand, and you can do that from commerce manager in facebook. so there you go. this is how you apply for instagram product tagging, even if you have a shopify business. as i said, the process is a bit different, but it should work for you if you have a shopify business. so that was pretty much it for this video. thank you so much for watching. i hope this has been helpful to you and now you know how to apply for instagram
