Shopify Integration to Business Central | Microsoft Dynamics® 365 Demonstration

Music Applause! Hello and welcome to this session where we'll be looking at the new Shopify Connect app that Microsoft has released in version 201. This was due to come out in the main release back in April, but it was delayed by Microsoft. Worth noting as well, this is only available in the SAS version of Business Central. It's not currently available as an on-prem extension.

In this article, we will be exploring the features of the new Shopify Connect app by Microsoft and how it can help you sell online and streamline your business processes. We will be discussing the setup process, synchronization of products, images, inventory, customers, and payouts between Shopify and Business Central. We will also look at how the app works in practice by going through a couple of orders and processing them in Business Central.

Setup:

- You can associate each company in Business Central with multiple shops in Shopify.

- Determine what location you want to use for your Shopify stock.

- Specify what products you want to share into Shopify.

- Map shipment and payment methods between the two systems.

- Customer templates are used to ensure customers are created in Business Central correctly.

Synchronization:

- Synchronize products, product images, inventory, customers, and payouts between Shopify and Business Central.

- Shopify carries out a risk assessment on any order it receives, which is passed down to Business Central.

- A synchronization process runs every five minutes to retrieve any orders from Shopify and bring them back to Business Central.

Order Processing:

- A sales order is created in Business Central from the Shopify order.

- You can carry out your normal shipping process for a sales order.

- The synchronization process exports the shipped and invoiced order out into Shopify.

- An email is automatically sent out to the customer with the confirmation and tracking information.

The Shopify Connect app by Microsoft offers a seamless solution for selling online and managing your business processes. It's quick and easy to set up, and you can get running with it in a matter of hours. Although it may take some effort to refine the processes to fit your specific business needs, it's a valuable tool to have in your arsenal. If you're interested in using this app, please talk to us, and we can take it from there. Thank you for reading!

Magento Microsoft Dynamics (365 FO/AX) integration with our connector - Magement

Welcome to the topic of integration by integrating your ERP with your commerce channels, portals, and CRM system data. This article will provide you with information on how to make your data accessible throughout your organization, partner network, stores, and wherever else it is needed.

The Connector:

The way in which the connector connects to your ERP is through web services. This is done to support CRM sales, self-service and spare parts portals, as well as B2B and B2C e-commerce with real-time access to your ERP.

Third-Party PIM Software Solution:

If using a third-party PIM software solution, we can take care of that as well by using the integration interface as a service which allows you to send and receive data to and from other software solutions.

Mapping Software:

To orientate ourselves, notice that this region is your Microsoft Dynamics where our software is installed. The mapping software connects all the data and activates the data as a web service. These services are connected to our integration interface.

Integration Interface:

The integration interface allows you to adjust the data for better data quality, to combine the data to other data sources, or to send the data to third-party software applications such as your PIM, CRM data warehouse, or marketing automation platform. Our integration interface has a template to connect all the data in a correct manner to Magento.

Magento:

For Magento, we offer some specific modules which can be installed and which make your real-time data from the web services be handled in Magento. In the balancing act of giving e-commerce the data it needs while also reducing the impact this may have on your ERP performance is where we define what data comes over from a live look up versus from a batch lookup.

Batch Mode:

In batch mode, we set scheduled tasks which can look for changes since the last scheduled lookup. This would be for data that doesn't change that frequently like product and customer information.

Real-Time Calls:

Real-time calls are being made for customer-specific prices, stock handling, and transport costs, but also for data such as discount tier prices, delivery routes, and customer-specific payment methods. We also set up real-time calls for deliveries, quotes, orders, and invoices. This makes sure your ERP is leading as a data source and it always shows the correct information without having any data issues.

Installation:

To install the software, your IT department or your Microsoft partner should install the software which has been delivered as a 2009 XP Oh a 2012 model or deplorable package into your application. The software will connect most of the data automatically and will deliver some specific screens to be able to have a quality control center where all the web service calls are monitored and can be seen.

Firewall:

In between both regions is the customer's firewall which we need to configure to allow us to connect to the ERP so we can make the web service calls to access information.

In conclusion, integrating your ERP with your commerce channels, portals, and CRM system data can improve your organization's efficiency and make your data accessible wherever it is needed. For more information, please visit our website.
