00:01:18 00:01:21 privacy settings on iphones okay
00:01:20 00:01:23 so if your people are using iphones
00:01:21 00:01:25 which pretty much a lot of people are
00:01:23 00:01:27 right uh there's gonna they're gonna be
00:01:25 00:01:28 prompted with this kind of screen
00:01:27 00:01:30 like on facebook and different kinds of
00:01:28 00:01:32 apps okay this is gonna say something
00:01:30 00:01:33 along the lines of hey would you like
00:01:32 00:01:34 permission to track your apps and
00:01:33 00:01:36 websites
00:01:34 00:01:38 owners by other companies right so this
00:01:36 00:01:39 is going to be a hindrance
00:01:38 00:01:41 of course if somebody says ass app not
00:01:39 00:01:42 to track or they're just going to allow
00:01:41 00:01:44 tracking of course if somebody just says
00:01:42 00:01:46 a lot of tracking it's business as usual

00:01:46 00:01:50 able to work just fine however

00:02:37 00:02:40 released this kind of you know
00:02:38 00:02:42 a little bit of a white papers if you
00:02:40 00:02:42 want to call it that of things to kind
00:02:42 00:02:44 of
00:02:42 00:02:46 understand and be familiar with with
00:02:44 00:02:48 this ios 14
00:02:46 00:02:49 and facebook advertising because this is
00:02:48 00:02:50 where the biggest change is going to
00:02:49 00:02:51 happen now
00:02:50 00:02:53 they've actually instituted a few more
00:02:51 00:02:54 changes not so much so like if they
00:02:53 00:02:56 you know your retargeting ads aren't
00:02:54 00:02:57 going to perform as well right there's a
00:02:56 00:02:59 few more things in here
00:02:57 00:03:01 that really if you're advertising on
00:02:59 00:03:02 facebook you kind of need to to
00:03:01 00:03:03 understand what's going on so we'll

00:03:07 00:03:09 make sure you verify your website domain
00:03:08 00:03:10 again we're not gonna

00:03:12 00:03:14 plan to deliver ads for conversion
00:03:13 00:03:15 events if
00:03:14 00:03:16 some of you don't know what a conversion
00:03:15 00:03:18 event it means it's like if somebody
00:03:16 00:03:19 opt-in right that's a lead
00:03:18 00:03:21 or somebody initiates checkout somebody
00:03:19 00:03:24 makes a purchase those are called
00:03:21 00:03:26 conversion events those are events that
00:03:24 00:03:27 spark some sort of conversion those of
00:03:26 00:03:28 you i'm sure those of you that run
00:03:27 00:03:30 advertising know that already
00:03:28 00:03:31 but those of you that aren't really on
00:03:30 00:03:33 facebook that's what a conversion event
00:03:31 00:03:34 is that's how you're able to track
00:03:33 00:03:36 hey when somebody opts into my funnel
00:03:34 00:03:38 somebody adds the card to my shopify
00:03:36 00:03:39 store if somebody actually purchases
00:03:38 00:03:41 right that's how the facebook algorithm
00:03:39 00:03:42 grows right so
00:03:41 00:03:44 this is the first thing if you plan to
00:03:42 00:03:46 deliver ads for conversion events that
00:03:44 00:03:48 occur on your business's website
00:03:46 00:03:49 you may need to verify your website to
00:03:48 00:03:51 me don't it's not a med you need to do
00:03:49 00:03:51 it okay so we'll leave a link you just

00:03:51 00:03:54 have to fill out a couple of things
00:03:53 00:03:56 verify your domain that's the first

00:04:01 00:04:04 in this kind of white paper i think are
00:04:02 00:04:05 going to be the the really the most the
00:04:04 00:04:07 most important
00:04:05 00:04:08 there's are going to be a few
00:04:07 00:04:10 limitations
00:04:08 00:04:11 that they that they put in place which
00:04:10 00:04:12 you know is kind of shocking i didn't
00:04:11 00:04:15 really
00:04:12 00:04:16 dig in so much soda as to why why
00:04:15 00:04:18 they're doing this
00:04:16 00:04:20 but this is a big one um right here your
00:04:18 00:04:23 pixel right your pixel may only
00:04:20 00:04:24 optimize for a maximum of eight
00:04:23 00:04:26 conversion events
00:04:24 00:04:27 it's interesting i you know i under i
00:04:26 00:04:29 maybe understand like maybe people are
00:04:27 00:04:31 getting super granular i think in drop
00:04:29 00:04:33 shipping specifically
00:04:31 00:04:34 um eight conversion events is more than
00:04:33 00:04:35 enough so think about it like most drop
00:04:34 00:04:37 shipping stores
00:04:35 00:04:39 right your com what are your conversion
00:04:37 00:04:40 events right the you know it's you know
00:04:39 00:04:42 paid you right
00:04:40 00:04:43 uh you know initiate checkout and
00:04:42 00:04:44 purchase right those are some of the big
00:04:43 00:04:46 ones and of course you can get pretty
00:04:44 00:04:46 granular as you start scaling your
00:04:46 00:04:48 campaigns
00:04:46 00:04:50 kind of doing different kinds of
00:04:48 00:04:50 tracking events so that is a limitation
00:04:50 00:04:52 right now
00:04:50 00:04:54 right that that is a limitation that
00:04:52 00:04:56 that is going to be on the pixel your
00:04:54 00:04:57 pixel may only optimize for a maximum of
00:04:56 00:04:59 eight conversion events
00:04:57 00:05:00 for each domain which is interesting
00:04:59 00:05:01 when you think about that right for each
00:05:00 00:05:03 domain so
00:05:01 00:05:04 what does that tell me right there's
00:05:03 00:05:06 gonna be ways around this if you need it
00:05:04 00:05:06 right you can you know link up a new
00:05:06 00:05:08 domain
00:05:06 00:05:10 and set up like let's say you have
00:05:08 00:05:11 funnel one going to you know xyz domain
00:05:10 00:05:13 you have funnel two going to x-ray so
00:05:11 00:05:14 each of those can have their own
00:05:13 00:05:15 conversion events you can have eight for
00:05:14 00:05:17 the domain a
00:05:15 00:05:18 and eight for domain two that's my
00:05:17 00:05:20 understanding of it that's what it says
00:05:18 00:05:21 right here okay correct me if i'm wrong
00:05:20 00:05:22 in the comments section
00:05:21 00:05:23 uh if you know it better than me but
00:05:22 00:05:25 that's sort of that's the way i'm
00:05:23 00:05:25 reading that that if you need to get

00:05:48 00:05:52 type now this is interesting to me
00:05:49 00:05:53 because i think what's gonna happen
00:05:52 00:05:54 with campaign structures and this is
00:05:53 00:05:55 something that we're gonna have to go
00:05:54 00:05:57 and test out so

00:06:14 00:06:19 going to have to separate
00:06:16 00:06:21 ios stuff in its own separate campaigns
00:06:19 00:06:22 right because to me like when you're
00:06:21 00:06:24 doing something with like desktop or
00:06:22 00:06:25 android users
00:06:24 00:06:27 or you know different kinds of pcs and
00:06:25 00:06:29 stuff out there we probably don't
00:06:27 00:06:30 necessarily want these ios devices kind
00:06:29 00:06:31 of lumped in with that
00:06:30 00:06:32 right now again this is something that's
00:06:31 00:06:34 gonna be test is it gonna make a huge
00:06:32 00:06:36 make or break difference
00:06:34 00:06:37 i don't necessarily know again i don't
00:06:36 00:06:37 have the data you always have to look at
00:06:37 00:06:40 data
00:06:37 00:06:41 for this to actually make sense um but
00:06:40 00:06:43 these are some of the that's a
00:06:41 00:06:44 pretty big update so to me it's like
00:06:43 00:06:45 okay well maybe we need to isolate these
00:06:44 00:06:47 kind of campaigns
00:06:45 00:06:49 that are going to apple devices and kind
00:06:47 00:06:50 of like keep them in their own separate
00:06:49 00:06:52 campaigns and not let it kind of like
00:06:50 00:06:54 you know co-mingle with the you know the
00:06:52 00:06:56 desktop android users and
00:06:54 00:06:57 and etc i know some people already do
00:06:56 00:06:58 that they split things up by mobile and
00:06:57 00:06:59 desktop
00:06:58 00:07:00 absolutely you know i've recommended
00:06:59 00:07:02 that in the past as well but even more
00:07:00 00:07:02 so now that's probably gonna be the way
00:07:02 00:07:04 to go
00:07:02 00:07:05 don't just take that as face value guys

00:07:30 00:07:33 you can still advertise to these people

00:07:33 00:07:35 targeting campaigns aren't going to be
00:07:34 00:07:37 able to perform that well to those
00:07:35 00:07:39 people okay

00:09:33 00:09:36 business you know what retargeting ads
00:09:35 00:09:38 absolutely they're the best
00:09:36 00:09:40 however that shouldn't be the only place
00:09:38 00:09:42 you're retargeting people that's why we
00:09:40 00:09:42 use sales funnels not shopify no amazon
00:09:42 00:09:44 none of that stuff
00:09:42 00:09:46 we drive people to a sales funnel where
00:09:44 00:09:48 we can capture that email lead
00:09:46 00:09:50 and then retarget that person how we see
00:09:48 00:09:51 fit right through back-end email
00:09:50 00:09:53 automations
00:09:51 00:09:55 texting whatever right so if you're not
00:09:53 00:09:57 using a funnel
00:09:55 00:09:58 you got to be using a funnel right a lot
00:09:57 00:10:00 of people that are just stuck on shopify
00:09:58 00:10:02 yes they're going to be so
00:10:00 00:10:04 devas hurt by this a lot of them are i
00:10:02 00:10:05 don't want to say devastated but a lot
00:10:04 00:10:06 of them will be because you don't have a
00:10:05 00:10:07 sales funnel in place you have
00:10:06 00:10:10 the only way you're retargeting and
00:10:07 00:10:12 toking to cut your potential customers
00:10:10 00:10:14 is through retargeting facebook ads
00:10:12 00:10:15 which is horrible absolutely not right
00:10:14 00:10:16 so you want to make sure you're getting
00:10:15 00:10:18 these
00:10:16 00:10:19 you're not buying buyers on facebook
00:10:18 00:10:22 guys what you're buying is
00:10:19 00:10:23 leads right and data right so you need
00:10:22 00:10:24 to use a funnel you need to capture
00:10:23 00:10:26 those leads those assets for your
00:10:24 00:10:27 business that you can then retarget to
00:10:26 00:10:29 and sell additional products and
00:10:27 00:10:30 services too right or get them to make
00:10:29 00:10:33 that first purchase
00:10:30 00:10:34 building assets your text list your
00:10:33 00:10:36 phone email list
00:10:34 00:10:37 right those are the keys that's what
00:10:36 00:10:38 these platforms are for and i don't
00:10:37 00:10:40 think a lot of people realize that it's
00:10:38 00:10:41 not about just throwing a shopify store
00:10:40 00:10:42 or a funnel
00:10:41 00:10:44 together or launching ads to it and
00:10:42 00:10:46 making a crap ton of money it doesn't
00:10:44 00:10:47 work that way this is a business right
00:10:46 00:10:50 the purpose of these kind of platforms
00:10:47 00:10:51 and places to advertise is simply to
00:10:50 00:10:53 take those customers
00:10:51 00:10:55 and turn them into your customers and
00:10:53 00:10:56 leads that's all it is and then you've
00:10:55 00:10:57 set up your business in a way to
00:10:56 00:10:58 actually
00:10:57 00:11:00 make money from those people i think a
00:10:58 00:11:02 lot of people forget about that
00:11:00 00:11:03 right with that said right start looking
00:11:02 00:11:04 at other places on advertising right
00:11:03 00:11:06 there is
00:11:04 00:11:07 people think that especially with
00:11:06 00:11:08 dropshipping because facebook ads or
00:11:07 00:11:10 shows they get up and running
00:11:08 00:11:11 that's the only place to advertise
00:11:10 00:11:13 absolutely not you have google right
00:11:11 00:11:14 google banner ads google search and
00:11:13 00:11:16 display ads
00:11:14 00:11:17 um you have youtube obviously youtube
00:11:16 00:11:18 ads you're probably watching this on
00:11:17 00:11:19 youtube
00:11:18 00:11:21 uh you have influencer marketing you
00:11:19 00:11:23 have snapchat you have tiktok i mean
00:11:21 00:11:25 like every single platform out there
00:11:23 00:11:26 taboola outbrain right there's so many
00:11:25 00:11:27 places for you to advertise your
00:11:26 00:11:29 business
00:11:27 00:11:30 here's the thing traffic's never the
00:11:29 00:11:31 issue right you can go out there you can
00:11:30 00:11:33 pay people money
00:11:31 00:11:35 jv's you know all these ad platforms out
00:11:33 00:11:37 there and they can drive you traffic
00:11:35 00:11:38 it's about what you do with that traffic
00:11:37 00:11:40 when it's sent to you
00:11:38 00:11:41 that's gonna make or break your business
00:11:40 00:11:42 and that's what this channel is all
00:11:41 00:11:43 about we tok about how do we actually
00:11:42 00:11:45 take those things
00:11:43 00:11:47 that traffic convert it into leads which
00:11:45 00:11:49 cover it into buyers which converts into
00:11:47 00:11:49 even more buyers to increase our average
