Is Shopify Dropshipping Worth It In 2022?

hi guys, my name is bruce, with ecom kong, and i'm excited to get into this video. over the past few days, i've gotten a few questions about what is shopify dropshipping and is it worth it to start in 2022.. today, i'm going to be answering these questions and sharing with you exactly what i would do if i was to start over again completely from scratch. so let's get started by answering that first question of what is shopify drop shipping. drop shipping is an online business model where you partner with the wholesaler, you add their products to your shopify store and then you sell those products to customers. when somebody makes a purchase on your store, the supplier ships that product directly to the customer and then you keep all the profit, and it's an attractive business model for many reasons. you don't have to hold any inventory, you don't have to worry about shipping the products to your customers yourself, you can choose almost any market or category to sell in, you have very low startup costs, you can make money even as a complete beginner, and you can develop and scale your passive income. and shopify dropshipping was the first online business model that i had success with back in 2019, while i was still a minor league baseball player, and what most people don't realize is that minor leaguers barely make anything compared to what major leaguers make. i remember receiving a check every two weeks for about 500 or 600, and so i needed to find another way to make some money, and that's why starting an e-commerce business made sense to me, because i needed to make money online while we were traveling on bus trips and staying at hotels. but is it worth it to start a drop shipping business now, in 2022? as long as people have problems that need to be solved and there's products that exist that solve those problems, drop shipping is going to be a great business model to make money online. let's take a quick look at some real world data. so this chart is going to show global ecommerce sales for the past few years, with the projection going through 2024.. in 2020, we see that online sales surpassed over 4.2 trillion dollars, and in 2021, it surpassed over 4.8 trillion dollars. and so if you're just learning about the drop shipping business model, you're not too late to the party, because the e-commerce sales trend isn't going away anytime soon. and now let me show you exactly what i would do if i was to start over completely from scratch in 2022. first, i would find an existing winning product that i know is getting consistent daily sales, and to find those winning products, i suggest checking out sell the trend. in my opinion, it's been the most accurate tool that i've found that uses real world data to produce a list of products that you can sell confidently. i suggest looking for products that you can sell in the 30 to 50 range with a profit margin of at least 20 dollars, and if you're interested in learning more about sell the trend, check out the video linked above, or you can tap the link in the description to start your free trial. next, i would find a good supplier that ships directly from the us. sell the trend provides access to a list of the top rated sellers both on aliexpress and cj drop shipping. do your own research. look for those suppliers that have good reviews, ships from the us and have good communication. you can take the extra step by messaging the suppliers directly, build a relationship with them and gain a better understanding of their processing times and shipping methods. you may even be able to negotiate a better price. then i would build a one product shopify store just like this one. in my experience, these types of stores tend to outperform general stores or ones that have multiple products and don't overthink it. you can build your own profitable one product shopify store using the free brooklyn theme, and if you need help building that store, i have a free tutorial linked above. next, i would create a ugc ad. creative ugc stands for user generated content, so this is going to be a video ad in the form of an unboxing video, a product review or a product tutorial. typically, they're filmed on an iphone without any fancy production and appear to be native to any social platform, and the best company that i've found to work with so far to create these videos for me is going to be viral ecom ads. they make it really simple. all you'll need to do is send them one sample of your product and they'll get to work creating these high converting ads. and if you're interested in checking them out, i'll have a link to their website in the description below. and you can forget about running facebook ads, because i would focus on tiktok advertising. tiktok has quickly become the hottest social media platform on the planet and in 2021 they release an advertising platform allowing businesses to market their products and services to their users, and those ugc ads are going to work great as tiktok users scroll through their feed. so if you need help building your first profitable tiktok ad campaign, go ahead and tap the link above to check out the full tutorial on the channel. so those are the exact steps that i would take if i was launching a new drop shipping brand in 2022. most people that i've seen who get into dropshipping give up way too quickly if they don't see immediate success. don't let that be you set realistik expectations from the beginning and make changes when necessary. it's normal that you face obstacles when you want to make money as an ecommerce business owner. drop shipping, like any learning process, is an ongoing effort and it's going to take time. while many of these steps can be implemented at the start, you want to learn and improve as you go. to become successful, you need to dedicate the time. drop shipping requires consistency, so be prepared to allocate regular time to your business and, of course, don't forget to have fun. and that's all i have for you in this one. if you got any value or enjoyed this video, please be sure to hit that like button, and if you have any questions, be sure to comment them down below. and if you're new to the channel, be sure to subscribe and until next time, i'll see you in the next video.

Shopify Dropshipping Tutorial for Beginners 2022 - How To Create A Profitable Shopify Store

yo, yo yo. what's up? you guys, it's Jeremy Ray, and in this video we're going to be doing something that I've never done before. you guys, in this video we're going to be literally going on the whole journey, from start to finish, on how to build a successful Shopify, Drop Shipping business. so stage number one is picking a product. before we get to actually pick a product, the first thing I want to explain to you guys is the criteria that I use in which to pick products. so, number one: the first thing that I always make sure that I do- is I make sure that I sell a product that's problem solving. you guys want to sell problem solving products because they literally make people feel like they need to buy it. it's not just a want, or they just want to buy this thing from you because they like it, like a Gucci belt or Gucci shoes. it's an actual need. they feel like they actually need to have that because it solves a problem. so, problem solving products- number one, something that I always do. the next thing is I always make sure that the products are viral, eye-catching, have gone viral before or at least have viral potential. you don't want to sell boring products, right? you can't drop ship a banana. but, with that being and said, the last piece of criteria that I always use when I'm finding a product is: I make sure that I can sell it for at least a ten dollar profit margin. if you guys can't make ten dollars per sale on the product that you're Drop Shipping, it's going to be very, very hard to scale with paid ads in the future and you're not going to like the margins that you have. even if you make it work with a 10 profit margin and are running paid ads, you're just not gonna, overall, make a lot of money doing things that way. okay, you guys. so there's a lot of ways to find winning products, but in this video I wanted to give you guys only the examples that you could use today for 100 free. you're basically just going to go on to tiktok, open up the app and you're going to search up, basically, hashtag Amazon best finds. so the reason that we're searching these hashtags, you guys, is because hashtag tiktok made me buy it, or hashtag Amazon best finds means people are posting videos on tiktok about products that they bought off of tik tok. so if you're the one selling those products, you're going to be the one making money and 99 of the products on this hashtag are able to be drop shipped. when I'm looking through these products, what I'm doing is going filtering by this week, so I filter by this week and then I filter by the most liked videos because that's going to give me the most viral. so, as I'm going through here, as I can see, right, this little shelf thing, for example, you know this has 211 000, you know, likes just off of that, which is pretty crazy. if I'm scrolling down, you guys, here we'll search up hashtag tiktok made me buy it. and if you're not finding products, you could always do another hashtag. so you could do like you know, hashtag, lifehack, hashtag, helpful products, hashtag, pain relief products, right, anything you're really trying to go. but going through these hashtags, all you're going to do, as I said, is sort by basically this week or this month, more preferably, and then you're gonna go most liked, as you guys can see right here, we've got a bunch of products popping up that are absolutely viral. so all I'm going to do is just go through here like, look at this one, right, 2.7 million likes on this video of this product. you guys, this product is something you could easily, easily, easily drop ship. I'm sure you can find this on AliExpress for very, very cheap, and if you guys can sell a product like this or be the one selling a product like this, you're going to do extremely well. we're gonna look for products and once we find one, I'll hop right back on the mic. alright, you guys. so we found a product. the product that we're actually going to be using for this video and showing this whole process is this little cup cleaner thing. so this thing went insanely viral and this is definitely a product that I've seen go viral a lot, but I haven't seen anybody honestly reach its full potential with this product yet. I know this is a crazy viral product and a great product to be selling, so that's why we're going to be rolling with this one. so now that we have a product picked out, the next thing we're going to do is think of a name, think of a logo and then build the website. what I usually do in order to think of a name and think of a logo is: first I think about the product. I think about what type of feelings it creates, what type of emotion it gives off, what vibe does your product give off, then think of those and turn them into words and think of what words kind of resemble your product, and that's how you make a name. and then, off of that name, you'll start creating a logo. your logo could literally just be your name written in cool font. it could be whatever you guys want. all right, you guys. so, when it comes to picking a name in a logo, as I said, you got to keep it simple. this is not something you should over complicate or take too long with at all. you're just wasting your time if you take too long with it, because the most important thing is just getting the marketing to test if the product's even going to work in general. so, with that being said, you guys, when I'm thinking of a name, I'm literally just gonna think of words with my products. so, basically, my product is that little cup or that little thing that basically cleans cups, right? so one word is cup and one word is clean, right? so maybe we could go clean cut, maybe we could go with cup clean, but I think we'll just go with clean cup. so, essentially, you guys, once I think of a name- right, see how easy that was. that literally took five seconds- right, clean cup. it tells exactly what the product does. you guys keep your name simple. with that being said, the next thing I would do is just go and pick a different font. you guys could literally just write your name and put it in a cool font. for this app that I'm editing on, it's called canva. this is no way a paid promo for canva or anything like that, but they're just the software I've been using literally since I started and I absolutely love using canva. maybe what we'll do right here is search up clean and we'll try to find some little sort of you know image or something that we could throw in here. so we look and we see clean, let's go ahead and maybe try with this guy. so maybe we try putting this, you know, right by the piece. see how it kind of circles off right there, like maybe, like right there would look cool. you know, like um, right, uh, nah, now I have the logo kind of looking like this, so it essentially just says clean cup and then it has that little green little like L's to make it kind of cool, you know, to make it pop out. the next thing I'm gonna do is just prepare for the social media accounts. when you make the social media account to Instagram, tiktok- you need to have a profile photo. so all I did was went and literally just duplicated this logo onto another size- just a square size in canva- and made the logo for profile photos, essentially on tiktok and Instagram. now we're gonna move on to stage two and actually start building this website. all right, you guys. so now we're gonna start building our website. this is a super exciting spot to be in when you get started doing e-commerce. so, with that being said, you guys, all we're going to do in order to start using Shopify is we're going to go ahead and go to shopifycom. so we're going to go to shopifycom and then all we're going to do after we land on the Shopify page is click Start free trial. then you're gonna go ahead and grab an email account. it doesn't have to be a business email or nothing like that, you guys. this could literally just be your regular email. so I'm just starting out or I can just skip through these questions. you can just skip skip or you can answer them. United States is where I'm basically doing my business, and now I'm just going to continue with Google. so I'm just going to continue with G.

I Tried Dropshipping With $0 For 30 days

have you ever wondered if it's possible to become a millionaire with Drop Shipping, for a million dollars, millions of dollars from Drop Shipping? well, I know for a fact it's possible, because I went from a high school dropout to making over 1.5 million dollars in a year. by the time I was age 21.. and to show you that it's still possible today, I created a brand new Drop Shipping Store using zero dollars and I'm sharing the entire process transparently now. we just officially ended our first full month in business and we had a lot of ups and we had a lot of downs and, honestly, this reminded me of how hard it is to get your first business off the ground. so while a lot of people are going to be watching this video and impressed with the sales that I've gotten, just realize that this isn't an overnight success. this has been the last five years of me dedicating myself to this craft and I don't want this video to come across showing off. I know there's a lot of gurus out there who try to highlight how easy Drop Shipping is, and we both know these guys are not Drop Shipping, so just know that I'm gonna always keep 100 with you guys. now, any good Drop Shipping Store starts with a good product. I don't care how good your website is or how good your ads are, so I couldn't just find any product. to be successful in this challenge, I needed to find a product that matched the criteria of a winning product. usually when I am picking a product to sell, there's a few things that I look at. obviously, profit margin- if we don't have a good profit margin, then there's no way we're gonna ever be successful. and another piece of criteria that I think is important is that the product actually makes people's lives easier. so to locate this problem-solving product, I ended up going on tiktok and looked up hashtag. tiktok made me buy it and, honestly, I had to browse sometime to find something decent. but I knew we had found a winner when I found a tik tok post with literally hundreds of people asking where they could find the product and the video only had about a thousand likes at this point. now, honestly, this was kind of suspicious- a post with only about a thousand likes to have this many comments of people wanting to know where to buy the product- and I thought this was a great opportunity. hundreds of people were looking to buy this product and they didn't have someone to fulfill that demand. so I built a website on Shopify and I started my journey trying to get this brand sales using zero dollars Capital. now, I only really had one opportunity to become successful with this store, since our budget was zero dollars in order for us to create a profitable business. it meant attracting customers to our website without spending any money. now, this meant that the standard avenues for advertising, like Facebook ads, were completely out of the question, but what was possible was for us to create tiktok and Instagram real content completely organically and try to get the post viral so customers can see our product. so for the last 30 days, I spent a ton of time creating content and it actually went pretty well. so I want to go over the results and how much money we're able to make. so this challenge started on August 16th. this was our first day in business and I ended up posting up only one single tik tok on this day and, yes, I did not get any sales. this was definitely a stressful day for me. I was creating a brand new business from scratch again and, honestly, day two felt pretty similar. we made zero dollars in sales and I spent hours of our time and we weren't able to even manage to get one single sale, so I was feeling pretty disappointed around this time. but day three, things started to pick up. day three, on August 18th, I managed to get our very first sale, and this was when I realized that we were on to something. so I got super stoked and excited about creating this brand. so I ended up doubling down. on the 19th, I created two pieces of content, but unfortunately we were only able to get one sale for 56 dollars. and then the day after that, on the 20th, we were only able to get one sale again, even though I was posting more content now. up into this point, we had gotten zero sales from tiktok. our tiktoks were doing terrible, but our Instagram reels were actually getting to push out, so this was a good sign. we're getting a few thousand views on our Instagram reels, but for some reason we weren't able to crack into tiktok yet. now, day six was a super exciting day. we managed to get three sails for a total of 270 dollars, and this made me feel like we could really take this brand to whatever height we wanted to grow it to, and this brought me down a path of switching our content up. I started to focus on More Story based content, and this started to work really well. we were able to wrap the first week up at a total of 785.93, which personally I thought was a really good start to this challenge. I was feeling super excited and optimistik that this store could grow to a store that does six figures a month. so I really wanted to double down to get the best results we could in this Challenge, and that's also when I set a goal of trying to to make one thousand dollars in a single day throughout this Challenge, and this brought us into week two. on day one of week two, we ended up doing 159 dollars, and day two ended up being another Super solid day. we did 299 dollars in sales this day, which got me feeling really good. we were able to hit some consistent results at this point, and at this point we had generated over one thousand dollars in sales. and the best part about this is, since we weren't spending money on ads, almost 75 percent of the revenue was profit. day three of week two, we had a pretty similar day, and then, day four of week two, I started ramping up the content. I realized that our posts were doing well, but maybe we needed more volume. so on day four of week two, we managed to hit our best day yet at 364 dollars, which was a really good sign. we're almost 40 percent to our 1K a day goal. and then, day five, we managed to smash that record at 399 overall. during week two, we managed to get over two thousand dollars in sales, which meant for this two-week period we had done over two thousand and seven hundred dollars, and I already created a video covering up to this point. if all this sounds familiar. but what I'm about to get into is week three and week four, which ended up being a total twist, and I think it's gonna be something really exciting for everyone. going into week three, I was definitely nervous because we hadn't hit the goal that we set out for this challenge yet and while we were getting results, I wanted to show people that this business is really possible and that we can hit some big numbers. so I was seriously stressed to continue to create the best content that I could, and it ended up being a pretty stressful week. but here's how it ended up. going as far as sales, on day three of week one- such a disappointing day- we managed to get zero sales, but honestly, it felt like it was about time we stopped getting great holds. it seemed like everything was going pretty easy in the beginning of this challenge, so the fact that we weren't facing turbulence just meant that we weren't pushing hard enough. so the fact that I didn't get any sales today, I kind of just dismissed it and decided I'm just gonna keep pushing on. now, on day two of week three, we actually did end up getting a sale, but unfortunately we also did have a refund. so that's why we only made 14.99 on this day, which is just pretty natural. sometimes customers will end up ordering something and they'll want their money back, so we just gave them their money back. we're not going to worry about that and we're just gonna hold. day three is more successful. unfortunately, it wasn't and we managed to do zero dollars in sales yet again. so for this three day period, we had literally only made about 14.99 and I was feeling really bummed out at this point. I thought that maybe the store was over, maybe the product wasn't workin.

The Truth About Dropshipping In 2022..

it's a new year and i don't want to hear none of that new year new me stuff. if you want to see some results this year, you got to put the work in and do things properly. there's more opportunity than ever to get started, but right now you have to do things differently to get the most out of it. so today i'll share with you everything you need to know to succeed with the dropshipping store this year, and i'll be bringing on a friend of mine who has made over 70 000 in one day using a brand new strategy to get his advice on the new year. but first let's tok about the biggest change of the year. dropshipping has been hot for a while now. it's nothing new- i mean, your grandma probably knows about it- which means there are tons of new people getting started every single day, and this isn't really a bad thing. but it means if you want to run a business like this, you've got to be on point. long gone are the days of testing hundreds of products and hoping to hit it big like the lottery. nowadays, the only way to win is by focusing on becoming the best marketer and finding a high quality product that people actually want to use. let's break this down. becoming a good marketer in this game requires four main skills: copywriting, video editing, website design and running ads. everybody that crushes it with dropshipping has each of these skills and is continuously improving them, and most of the time, beginners will try to outsource each step of the process, and this is going to hold you back so much. everybody that i know that's successful with dropshipping has each of these four skills, and the beginners that focus on learning and improving these first typically see much faster results. when i was first starting, i didn't necessarily focus on this. i had some of these skills from the past, but i didn't focus on sharpening them and, as a result, i was randomly testing products, wasting thousands of dollars on ads, and it made it extremely difficult for me to feel like i was making progress when i first started. feeling like i was progressing is when i started putting the work in to learn these skills, especially video editing and copywriting. these are the skills that allowed me to sell my product and really create value in the eyes of the customer, and i see a ton of people that try to outsource all this stuff when they start their business, but i promise you, this is going to hold you back so much because you don't even know what looks good and you're never gonna learn those skills for yourself. so how can you learn them? my favorite method so far has been to find a good example of a store or an ad that is performing well and try your best to replicate it. instead of coming up with an entirely new website template or ad template from scratch, you can just study what's already working and use that to your advantage, but just don't blatantly copy and paste their entire ad word for word. this is going to teach you nothing. look at what they're doing and try to make it your own. rearrange the footage, get new footage, find new angles and selling points about the product. i'm telling you this is the fastest way for you to learn how to market and sell products online, and you can always use youtube for extra help. there are tons of tutorials on how to build stores- i've made them- and videos on how to edit videos on all different types of apps. there's no excuse for you not to go out and learn these skills. when it comes to learning to run the ads, you don't need a complicated strategy at all. the most important thing to focus on is the product and the advertisement itself. if these areas are optimized, then running ads won't be that difficult at all, and, again, you can use youtube to learn the basics on any ad platform you want. when it comes to finding products, i pretty much approach it in the exact same way. the only products i like to sell are ones that are already selling and have lots of good feedback and positive reviews. the golden opportunity is to find these products that are already doing well, that have areas for you to improve, and that is where learning those skills comes into play, because you can use your skill set to improve where somebody else is lacking. let me show you an example. so here we have two stores selling the exact same product. one of them is wildly successful with over 18 million views, and the other one has a thousand views. if you'll notike, they launched these around the same exact time, this one on december 30th and this one on september 24th. so why did this ad completely flop while this ad popped off and did extremely well? if we just play the first couple seconds of these ads, you'll see exactly why this happened. as you can see, this ad starts out. it's really boring. there's not that much going on, the text is kind of ugly, whereas this ad, right when it opens up, you can see a quick benefit: discover stronger hands- in minutes you can see the glove up close, the ads- very high quality, it's easy to read or while sleeping, to wake up fresh. it sells the product much better. because this store focused on their skill set of creating ads, copywriting and selling this product. they were able to compete with everybody and, it looks like, become the top sellers of this product. if we go to their website, you can see that years later they are still selling the same exact, simple product, because they focused on creating an amazing website, creating a high quality product, and they have a ton of great video ad content as well, and this is the main thing that i focus on. it is the sole reason why i've been able to sell almost two million dollars worth of products on my brand is because i focus on improving my skills and providing the best experience across the board. once my product started to grow consistently, i improved the product quality, the shipping time, i took a bunch of custom photos and kept making more and more ads content, and now i've had this product running for almost two years and in the process, i feel like i've built a real asset. so for the highest chance of success this year, you have to focus on developing your skills. there is no other way around this and i know if you focus on this, you will make money. but that's not the only thing you should focus on in 2022. there is a golden opportunity that is slept on by so many people: tiktok. tiktok has exploded for e-commerce and there are new products going viral every single day. as a matter of fact, one of my friends- his name is leo- scaled his store past 70 thousand dollars a day with just tiktok ads. so let's give leo a call and see how he did it. so, jordan, how you doing, doing good man. the first thing i'm trying to understand, bro, is like: what is the key? what do you feel like is the key to succeeding with tiktok ads? i think the biggest key for me is definitely thinking like the algorithm. so let's look at tiktok. where is it at? why is it there? it's video optimization. so the creative is the number one key aspect within 100. what does that look like for you? a viral tiktok creative? go on your 4u page, take 10 scrolls and look at a sound that would fit the audience that you're trying to get, like, use the trending sound and that trend overall for your product. exactly okay, got you. what do you think is a successful tiktok product? like you, can have success with any product, but relative to my own, really, all it is is a product that you know anyone from 18 years old or 55 plus can have absolute value in it. so most products will work on tiktok, but you prefer to go for the most broad products that could apply to pretty much anybody, right? so one of the biggest reasons why i found you is because i saw a youtube video of yours where you scaled over seventy thousand dollars in a single day. how'd you do that? yeah, so i had a partner on the store and you know, on my channel i have a lot of strategies that i implement with tiktok. everything i preach is relative to my own success. feel free to check out my boy leo's channel down below. he posts really valuable videos about tiktok. appreciate it, jordan. have a good re.

Is Shopify Dropshipping Still Profitable in 2022? Let's Find Out

a popular question that i've seen asked on multiple social media channels and on youtube by several different people is: is the shopify platform worth building a business on in 2022? that might relate to drop shipping, it might relate to just somewhere in e-commerce, but i've seen this question a lot lately and i kind of know the answer, but i also i kind of don't. and before you click that back button and x off of the video, hear me out for a second. trust me, it'll be worth it. i'm someone who, starting in 2018, built a business on shopify, did almost half a million dollars in revenue in 18 months. i did so profitably and then i sold the business for well into the six figures. i have a video about this. you can find it on my channel. i've also written about it on substance, but nonetheless, i want to tok about the present, the now. that is something. i sold that business in early 2020.. this is two years- fast forward. two years. is it still worth doing? have things changed? are things different? well, i know the answer to this somewhat, but i want to back it up with actual proof, and we're going to do that. i i've now officially decided, i believe. actually, as of right now. i haven't officially decided, but i think, as right now i'm deciding, that i will be documenting me, trying to not necessarily replicate that success specifically, so i'm not going to make that same business again, but i'm going to use what i learned and use, uh, what i feel made that business profitable and successful, that i sold and trying to implement that into a new business in 2022, but document the entire process, whether or not i fail or succeed here on youtube and, of course, on substance. if you know what a substance is, it is a platform. it's basically a blog, except every time i put a post, if you have the app on iphone, then you just get an update. you read it right there on the app, or you get an email. you can read all of it right there on email. it's free, that's it. you just sign up with your email link down to it in the description. i want to document it on both that platform and both this platform because i think both audiences would really enjoy it and i think the amount that you can learn by watching someone you know actively try to make a business profitable and try to formulate some sort of winning recipe right then and there. i believe that's valuable and that's something i would like to watch, and so that's something i'm going to do on this channel. so if that is something you would like to do, hit that subscribe button so that you are notified when i start this series. also, if it's something you really feel strongly about that you would like to learn, leave a comment. i'd love to see i got. i asked about this. on substance, a lot of people commented and said they would love to see something like this, so i'm going to assume people on youtube would like to as well. so let me know, i would really like to hear about it. the the way i know they answer this question is: shopify is still a great platform. uh, i still have stayed active with it. i still actually have a couple fringe businesses that operate on it. i'm i've kind of delegated, uh, some of the work, uh, to other people, um, but in general, you know, i still know businesses are successful. the answer to the question that i presented in the beginning and the answer, the question that everyone keeps asking- is it still worth doing? it absolutely is still worth doing. but something that i said for a very long time about drop shipping, which is probably the most common business model on shopify is that, as time goes on, you're going to have to consistently deviate and go above and beyond to separate yourselves from pretty much everyone else. that's kind of just how it is. you kind of. you kind of have to be willing to do what others aren't to maximize your chances of success. i'm not saying that you know that if you just do what everyone else is doing, there's no way you're going to make money. no, some people will find a way, but in general, your chances of success increase it dramatikally if you are willing to do what others aren't. and so what is that? what do i mean with that? so, like i said, the most common business model on shopify is drop shipping. it's where you buy an item. you know, most of the time overseas in china. you buy it on uh, on aliexpress or somewhere like that or some something similar. uh, you, you advertise that product on your, your website. you pitch it to people, you know. you advertise it to people in the united states when they buy it. you buy it from aliexpress, but for hopefully a lot cheaper. you send it to the person in the united states. you collect the difference. you're profitable, right. most of the time. these are products that either solve a problem, they're viral, they're funny, they're entertaining. in a certain way, they have something about them and the way they're marketed. that just leaves people to impulse buy and for the most part, these businesses, you are getting a customer one time and you're. you're not gonna have any repeat customers, and i've toked about this in the past, but it's been a while. what i thought separated my business that i sold uh in 2020 from the rest is i was able to find a way, which it was tiknically. i was tiknically drop shipping, but i was doing it within the united states. i had a very good relationship with the supplier- like, very like first name basis with the supplier and uh it was. it was much more. the shipping was much faster than anyone. that was, i didn't have any competitors, but just that kind of drop shipping model. i was doing so with much faster shipping. i was it was with a product in a business model that allowed for repeat customers and i did have uh repeat customers all the time. but also i did so in a way that uh, that it wasn't gimmicky or anything. it was. it was i was building a legitimate brand that had a meaning behind it and, uh, i believe that separate- separated me from you know, just your average shopify, drop shipping business. in 2022, two years ahead, i, i could probably apply the exact same model to what i did in 2020 and, if the product was right and the business model was right, i probably could be profitable. but i believe, since two years have passed, i'm going to have to take. i'm gonna have to go even further beyond. i'm gonna have to do even more. i, i did the whole thing with that business: email marketing, uh, text marketing, everything you can think of- but i'm going to have to do that and more. and what that more is i'm going to explain in the series and i'm going to develop it over time. but i just know right now i'm going to have to do more to separate myself from the crowd, because i believe more people have adapted this model that i i put in place. and the unfortunate part is, i don't think it's smart to divulge all the information. i think it would wouldn't be necessarily smart for me to share the actual domain, the actual product, because when you're early on, there are a group of people out there- this is a document, well documented thing- that when they find businesses. they do this first off. they find your ads wherever you're advertising. then they go back to your website and, based on like, they'll place an order on your on the website and based on the- unless you change it- the shopify order number, they'll kind of tell how many orders you've done and if anyone's done more than like 100, 200 orders, chances are you're profitable or close to being profitable and they can kind of they can figure out when this, the, the website was created. they can kind of like guesstimate and they can find your product and figure out where you got it from and they can kind of figure out how much money is being made, if any at all. and if it is, they'll. they'll just literally copy your website and they'll also advertise. they'll copy your ads, will do everything and they will take away from your your- you know- specific prospective market. now this can happen whether you show your domain name and your website or not already. so what i'm saying is i don't want to add to that early on by divulging that.

I Tried Shopify Dropshipping With NO MONEY For 1 Week

so in this video, i'm gonna start a brand new shopify drop shipping business and attempt to take it from zero dollars to over one thousand dollars in just one week. and i'm not going to be using any money for this challenge, and i know a lot of people think you can't start a drop shipping business without any money, but we're gonna prove them wrong in this video and i'll be starting the drop shipping business completely from scratch and walk you through the entire step-by-step process, and at the end of the video, i'll show you exactly how much money the business makes. honestly, i'm hoping it's gonna make over a thousand dollars, but we're just gonna have to wait and see. so i have a lot of stuff that i have to get done today, and the very first thing i want to do is just find a good product to sell, and then after that, i'm just going to find a good supplier. then i'm just going to create my online store with shopify and then after that, i'm going to start creating advertisements, and for this challenge, i'm basically going to be using pinterest, instagram and tiktok and just basically post viral videos on there for free. and yes, this method does work well, since i do use it on my current drop shipping businesses that make over six figures. okay. so the first thing i want to start by doing is trying to find a good product to sell and, honestly, as long as i can create viral videos with the product and it has high demand, it's something i can work with. and, honestly, i find about 99 of my viral products on tiktok, so i'm going to kind of show you my strategy and how you can do this yourself. so kind of what i do on tik tok is just search up tiktok made me buy it- then i'll just click on that little hamburger icon in the top right corner, then i'll just change the date posted to this month and now it's going to show you a bunch of relevant winning products that are selling right now. and some other hashtags you can do this with is amazon fines, drop shippers exposed and tiktok viral products. but anyways, i'm going to take the next 20 minutes to try to find some good products to sell and once i do find something, i'll come back and update you okay. so, honestly, i found a ton of really good products, but there is one that stood out to me the most, which is the cordless hair curler. and for anyone who doesn't know? the cordless hair curler is really convenient for females, since you can kind of touch up your hair anywhere you go, and there's so many stores on tiktok selling this product, so if they're doing well, i'm sure i can also do the same. all right. so the next thing i want to do is find a supplier that i can get the product from, and so for this video, i think i'm going to use spocket. so i found the cordless hair curler on spock it for 28 dollars and 30 cents, which is really good, and the shipping times are only seven to 14 business days, which is also ideal, and i think i'm gonna sell the product on my store for 59.99. now i've actually seen a lot of stores sign this product for over a hundred dollars, but because i do want to sell a lot of product in a short period of time and i don't want it to be too expensive, i think 59.99 is a good number to stik with, and if my customers do see that other stores are selling it for over a hundred dollars and i'm only selling it for a fraction of that cost, i'm sure they'd rather buy it from my store. now i do want to add one other product to my store, and i'm thinking just to make it an upsell. so, anyways, i found this heat protectant spray and i think it goes really well with the cordless hair curler, and i'm thinking to sell it on my store for 19.99, and it's only going to cost me eight dollars and 27 cents, which is pretty good, and if you do need a supplier for your drop shipping store, i'll leave a link for spock it in the description of this video. but, anyways, now i got the product, which i'm happy about, and so the next step now is to actually start building my shopify store, and i do want my store to look like an actual brand, and so it is going to take me a little bit of time to build it. so, anyways, i'm going to start working on the store right now and then i'll update you tomorrow once i'm done. all right, so it's the second day now and i finally finished the store and i made it look very simple and clean, and i'm going to show you the page that the customers get redirected to. so, anyways, i have different color options here, and i also did add a sales timer to create sense of urgency. i also included a ton of high quality photos, which is really important, and i also added this to build more trust with the customers. and if you scroll down here, you can see i put what's included in the package, then i tok about the benefits of buying the cordless hair curler, then i added some frequently asked questions and then i also do have a 30 day money back guarantee. a lot of customers won't buy your product if you don't have this, so make sure you do. and if you scroll down here, you can see that i did include how the cordless hair curler works, so this just makes it look really easy and straightforward. and all the way at the bottom of the page i did include some customer reviews. now, i obviously did import these reviews to my store, but usually i do have real customer reviews. but that's pretty much it for the store and i think it looks pretty good. but anyways, now that i'm done with my store, the next important thing i have to do is add a shopify app called after sell to my store, and the reason i'm going to use after sell is because it can increase my revenue anywhere from 10 to 15, which is exactly what i want. and afterstok is for post purchase upsells, and if you don't know what that is. it's basically when you offer a customer a product to purchase after they've already purchased something from your store. for example, after someone purchases the cordless hair curler from my store, i can then offer them another product to purchase. so in my case, i could upsell the heat protectant spray, since it works well with the cordless hair curler. and post purchase upsells work so well because if a customer just purchased something from your store, they're more likely to purchase another item, since you already built that initial trust, and you can even give them a really good discount on the upsell offer, which will then make them want to buy it even more. now, one thing you never want to do with upsells is actually offer them to the customer before they've made a purchase. this will just end up confusing them and they might not end up buying the product at all. but the good thing about after sell is that the upsell offer only comes after a customer makes a purchase, which is exactly what we want. but anyways, i'm actually going to create an upsell offer using after sale for my store right now and kind of walk you through the process step by step. okay, so the very first thing you want to do is go to the shopify app store and just search for after cell and it should come up. so it's going to look like this: after sell, post purchase, upsell. so let's add the app. okay, so once you're in after sale, the first thing you want to do is click here on enable settings. then it's going to bring you to the shopify page. so just make sure you click on after cell, then just click on save. okay, back here, let's just refresh the page. okay, now the first thing we want to do is actually just set up our first funnel. click here on create and i'm just going to name this funnel: heat protectant. so here i want to click show this funnel to all customers. since i only do have one upsell product. okay, now i'm going to choose the upsell product and basically what i'm going to be upselling is this heat protectant spray. now, the cool thing here is, if the customer actually does end up purchasing this product, you can offer them another upsell, and if they decline this product, then you can offer them a downsell. now, since i don't have any other products, i'm just going to keep it like this, but you can add products in here. now. next thing i want to do is click here on edi.
