Joe Stapler started off as most young entrepreneurs would. He was depressed in high school and thought he kind of had to follow the path that was paved for him. But then he had an epiphany in his first semester at college and realized that he wanted to take his life more seriously. He stumbled upon dropshipping through Google and took a chance on it with a little bit of money he had to play with. He lost about 2 grand in the beginning because he had no idea what he was doing, but he learned quickly from a friend who was also into dropshipping. Within three months, he got his first store to about 25K in sales and decided to take a semester off to focus on dropshipping. He tripled his revenue and even took on ten different students to mentor. He called his parents and said he didn't need college and if it's a failure, he'll go back. But he succeeded and has been crushing it in dropshipping ever since.

- Dropping Out of College:

Joe Stapler dropped out of college because he has always been an entrepreneur from a young age and couldn't stand the thought of working for somebody else. He knew very quickly that dropshipping was not going to be his job for 60 years, but rather an avenue for him to learn the skill sets necessary for him to do incredible things. He saw dropshipping as a low cost of entry starting point for him to get some extra income to fund whatever his next endeavor was. He also realized that a degree was so valuable 30 years ago when it put you ahead of 90% of the people in society, but nowadays, everybody has a degree. What separates you from the rest of the pack is your skill set. He valued the information much more when he stopped spending money on college and invested in going to events, self-education courses, etc. He cared much more about implementing the things that he learned.

- Dropshipping as Get Rich Quick:

In 2016, dropshipping was the definition of get rich quick. You could throw up any product with a white background, target efficiently, and make a killing. But now, it takes so much time and effort. You need to have an amazing website, products that are above standard, efficient marketing, professional videos, email marketing set up efficiently, and more. It's nothing close to get rich quick.
