Exporting a Finished Logic Project

Exporting a Logic project is essential for sharing it with others or for creating a CD or MP3 format. In this article, we will discuss how to export a Logic project in a simple and concise way.

Steps to Export a Logic Project:

1. Choose the Area to Export:

In Logic, select the area that you want to export. For example, if you want to export Tact 1 to Tact 35, select the area by marking it or using a loop.

2. Bounce the Project:

Next, go to File and select Bounce (not Export) to export the entire project with all ten tracks into one single track. This opens up the Bounce window, where you can select PCM to export it in CD format with 16-bit resolution and 44.1 kHz sampling rate. Keep the file type as 'Interleaved' and set the Dithering to None.

3. Turn Off Normalization:

It is important to turn off normalization so that Logic does not adjust the volume of the project. This is because we have already set the volume of the project through the limiter in the previous step.

4. Choose Offline Mode:

Select the Offline mode to speed up the exporting process.

5. Export as MP3:

You can also export the project as an MP3 file by selecting the MP3 option and setting the quality to 320 kbps. Keep the stereo mode as 'Normal' and you can leave the other settings as they are.

6. Add Information:

If desired, you can add ID3 tags or other information about the project before exporting it.

7. Save and Export:

After making all the necessary changes, click OK and choose the location where you want to save the project. Once you have selected the location, click on Bounce to start the exporting process.

Exporting a Logic project is essential for sharing it with others or for creating a CD or MP3 format. By following these simple steps, you can export your Logic project with ease and share your music with the world. With this, we come to the end of our Logic course, and I hope this guide has helped you in your music production journey. Good luck and see you soon!
