Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying (New Skin Care) | SammyJCoCo

what's up Coco family? welcome back to my channel. it's your girl, Sam J Coco, I miss you guys so much. I haven't done a video in like what two weeks now. I know I look super crazy, but that being said, of course we're doing face mask, skincare, Beauty. find ourselves here. I have the Neutrogena deep clean, purifying, cooling gel and also the clay cleanser mask. I also picked up their wipes. I was like, oh, it's a new line, let me see, they got the, they got the pore cleaners, they got the. I loves when it has a the solicit acid because that helps with pimples and acne and stuff like that. so, bro, no one's want pimples, no one's want no acne, so that that, or products that have that a solicit acid that helps with acne and stuff. I did get their three products. I'm not sure if there was one more thing, or I think this was it from their line, but I did get them at old tub. everything was like 10 bucks or I think under 10 bucks or around that range. um, I've been using these products for going on three weeks now, like two to almost three weeks now, and I have to be honest, my face okay, I know I'm wearing the mask right now and it's pretty dry. but I just wanted to tok to you guys about it because I've been loving it. I love how it feels when I'm applying it. I love how it feels when it's on like and so I know I mentioned on my previous like skincare routine. I love when things burn a little bit or I like what it feels like some type of something. so what I did is I did use the deep, this thing, the deep clean, purifying, cooling gel scrub. so I do love cleansers or scrubs, exfoliators- not cleansers, but you know what I'm like: ello exfoliator scrubs and stuff like that because that removes dead skin cells. so I notiked sometimes that. or I notiked one time when I wasn't really using a good scrub, um, my makeup kind of looked, or I was at my makeup, it was just kind of like I had a little like. sometimes I get like a little dryness right here and sometimes, like right here, I'll notike it's a little dry. so I started using this scrub. I use it like every other day, or I'll use a little bit when I'm wearing like heavy makeup, just so I can get that all off. um, I will be honest, these makeup wipes, I will be honest, even the like 3/4 dollar elf wipes kind of work a little better for makeup removal. I will be honest, these left my skin pretty soft. I did have to use like two wipes and I will say, with the elf ones that are hell. it's cheaper than these. those are balm. they leave my skin soft. they remove my makeup a lot. like it's pretty crazy, who knows. but I will be honest, these it's nice, but I don't feel like it's as strong or as heavy for almost a full face of makeup. but yeah, like it gets the job done, I just have to use like 2/3 wipes, sometimes 2 wipes. I'm not gonna lie, I use 2 wipes and then a cleanser if I'm being lazy. but again, I'll use the wipe and then I'll go in with a scrub and of course this leads to the mask. so the mask: you can use it two ways. it says you can use it as a cleanser or a mask. so far I've just been using it as a mask because it's like it's like a muddy consistency here, like it's like it's pretty, I don't know. it's like it smells so fresh, smells good, but I just use it. I've been using it simply as a mask just because I kind of want the whole benefits out of it, not saying that if you've just used it as a cleanser, it's not, but I don't know. I just I like wearing a mask for a little bit and making sure I'm getting all the benefits from it and I can simply wash it off in 10, 20 minutes tomorrow. just kidding, you know. I'm saying again: you can use it as a cleanser or a mask, like I am doing it right now. it is dry and I will say the first time, or not even the first time, but like the times I've used it. I'm a zoom in real quick. like I notiked on my pores like little bumps came out. I write that makes sense. like I just seen little little bumps, um, like kind of like where my pores are. I don't know if this is actually like somewhat exfoli, but somewhat like, uh, sucking the pours out of my skin, which is pretty dope, because I will show you guys in a couple seconds after I wash this off, how my face looks. I've been into skincare since like middle school. Oh, like I loved it, just buying like scrub, I just know I knew that I had to wash my face every day, like at school. I used to see it on TV. watching your faces is, and should be, part of your daily life. it's crazy because even when I wake up after a night sleep, I wake up. I wake up sometimes like I didn't wash my face, even though I like washed it the night like that night before. it's so weird. you know we sweat, I get hot at night, you know. but that's what I'm saying. skincare is a really important part or routine that should be in your life. I feel like I love it. uh, I used to buy it again since middle school, since I was like what? twelve, eleven, and I'm already 22 next month. um, again, check for your skin types, check for what type of or what you need it for. I know I don't get massive breakout, so I don't have extreme acne like other people do, and it's just something like I hate pit bulls there I see pimple, I want a puppet, I don't know, but it should something that I've always been cautious for. my face has always been clear. it's been always nice. so when I see a little breakage- and it's always around that time of the month, literally always, girl, I get my little scrub on every other day and I'll be honest, once you do it at least two, three times, you're like, oh, I feel good, my face looks clean, like you're gonna want to keep doing it. so here I am, pretty much filming my whole video with this lovely face mask, looking crazy as hell. but I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't actually like it. so, again, let me go wash this off and walk me right back. alright, you guys? so I did just wash my face, as you can see, just to zoom in a little bit. like my face, you guys, I swear. ever since I've been using these products right here, my face has been pretty cool, like I was I pretty clear, but it has been clear like I haven't been getting much break out. literally around this time of the month, I got like I just I really get a pimple, TBH. like I'm on my thing right now, like I'm almost done, and I always get pimples around my chin and like around my forehead. and you guys look like I swear I got nothing. this ain't no advertisement. you know how my YouTube is rolling right now. soon enough I'm gonna be ads here, ads here, ads. you get here, ads here, just kidding, but I'm just being honest, like that, I swear. every time I'm on my period I always get a couple pimples on my chin, on my forehead. I swear I'm on it, I am clear, like it's clear and I like it. so at this point, after I washed it, I don't know why I always like to go over with my Burt's Bees cleanser. I know I've mentioned it and shown it in my previous Danny care routine and again I mentioned that I got this at a dollar store. sighs, give it a couple. and just to make sure I don't know, I got off everything. and I also have these two moisturizers. this one is kind of like a. it is also part of L'Oreal, the revitalign. so I know this line, this whole line, some like below real stuff is like anti-wrinkle cream, cuz a girl here ain't trying to get no wrinkles. so I've been using this one and I also have the Revitalift. there you go boob right. it's the Revitalift right reveal brightening moisturizer. but this is the SPF version. so it does have sunscreen. um, I like, but yeah, so this one does have sunscreen and I love using this one for the mornings, or that I go to the gym, or that I'm outside, or when I know I'm just going out and I'm gonna be out in the Sun when I do go to work, I don't really see the daylight or I don't really go outside, so, which is why I'm using this one. but again, on those days where I will hit the sunrays and hit the sunshine on my face again, I'll use this SPF sunscreen moisturizer again. this is part of their anti-wrinkle aging this one also. it's to brighten up the skin. TBH, you guys, ever since I've been using this one, I again I'm such a pimple popper- I've had little dark spots from pimples or little ac.

Neutrogena Ambassadors Chloe x Halle share their skincare routine and more, at Essence Festival

hey everybody, blake newby essence beauty and style editor and skin care super fan here. we know that there's a health and equity gap, and that also includes the world of skin care. one of the best tools we have to close that gap is education, which is why i'm thrilled to be here today with dermatologist dr caroline robinson, who is going to give us the skinny on everything you need to know to make your melonated skin glow: what skin conditions to be on alert for, and the key ingredients and best practikes to maintaining healthy skin as a part of overall health and well-being. i am also joined by the fresh faces of neutrogena, the dynamic musical wonder duo, chloe and halle, who know how important it is to keep your skin in the game from an early age. ladies, thank you all so much for being here with me today. thank you, thank you. so i will dive right in because we don't have a lot of time, but there is a lot of knowledge to be supported. so first, chloe and hallie, what's you all skin care routine that keeps you all looking so helpful and vibrant? yes, well, for me, my skin is very, very sensitive, so the less steps i do, the better. i love using my neutrogena cleansing wash and i also love the moisturizer and the sunscreen. so those are like the top three things i do and that's what really works best for me, like if i do too much my skin breaks out, so whatever just helps lock in the moisture, not doing teeth too much, and i'll completely agree. i mean, for me, my skin tends to be a lot oily and i i'm very prone to lots of breakouts. so for me i love using like the neutrogena stubborn am acne treatment, which i've just put on those spots that are just want to come out when i don't need them. and we tok about products. but with products, of course, come ingredients. so are there any specific ingredients that you ladies feel like you all are inclined to with your skincare products? oh, there's like so, so much really. the oil-free acne wash is really great. i know hallie and i both use that sometimes. i- the one that i mainly, mainly use, is like the neutrogena ultra gentle cleanser, because it's gentle and it doesn't irritate my skin and it has vitamin b5, which is really, really good, of course, absolutely yeah. and you all toked about skin. your skin needs right. so you know there's oily skin, there's combination skin. are there any skin care issues. i know that you just mentioned acne, that you all have had to deal with, and how have you all been able to address that, especially as ladies who constantly are on the go and full glam, all of those things? yes, absolutely. i mean for me, in partikular, when my sister and i are touring, i find that my skin just does not like not being at home. so, especially when we were in europe for the first time- uh, was it two years ago? gloria were returning, yeah, and you know it's such a beautiful place and it's so exhilarating. but tour is such a fast life and you're in one place for one day, one city one day, and then the next one the other day. it's like you spend one day in each place and you're just go, go, go, go go due to traveling and you know, being in airplanes and everywhere, it's a lot on your skin. so for me, i've had to learn how to kind of deal with it when i'm traveling overseas. so this time i actually i am overseas now and my skin, knock on wood, has been nice. we pray, we pray it stays that way. yeah, and i know, dr robinson, i'd love to kind of shift now more to the education aspect, right, and so one of the things that i hear a lot is people not being able to find dermatologists that look like us, and, in fact, only three percent of dermatologists are black. so what are the effects of inequality in the medical doctor profession? yeah, you know, blake, i hear that a lot from my patients as well, and i think that one of the most important things to remember is that for us to adequately deliver care to our nation, our medical profession really needs to reflect the population that it's caring for, and so i think that, you know, representation is an important thing, but also we need to understand the needs of our patient and how the systems um societal systems impact how they navigate through the world. and, of course, chloe and hallie toked all about they. they use their spf. we like the sun. the sun is our, but for black skin in partikular, it can it. can you know different? certain problems can arise, and there's also a lot of misconceptions about some protection. so can you tok about the the need for the discussion behind sun exposure within the black community? that needs to be addressed? yeah, you know, one of the most widely held misconceptions is that our melanin provides us with enough protection for us to go without sunscreen, and that's simply not true. we um, when we don't wear sunscreen, we're actually leaving ourselves vulnerable to the harmful effects of uv rays, which leads to my second misconception, which is that black people won't get skin cancers. i see and treat skin cancers daily and i see them on all skin tones, and i think it's important for us to know, as a community, that sunscreen, in addition to checking areas that aren't sun exposed, is part of a complete routine for protecting ourselves against sun and skin cancers. and i know that spf is also very beneficial for something that definitely is much more prevalent in blacks, which is hyperpigmentation. tok about the benefits for spf in that, yeah, sunscreen is the first step when you're treating hyperpigmentation, because anything that you do, any brightening products, any procedures, anything that you try to do to address the dark spot or the hyperpigmentation, will get worse like that if you step into the sun without sunscreen. so i always make sure that my patients are wearing an spf of 30 or higher broad spectrum, meaning it's protecting us against uva and uvb rays and even water resistant, so that it stays, and it stays in place. and, of course, chlorine halley. toked about their skincare routines. they're so young, right? so their skin is already just by default, beautiful and radiant. yeah, is it important to develop a skincare routine at an early age and not wait? yes, yes, it's important to get into those healthy habits. this is skin health, after all, it's not, you know, something frivolous. we're caring for our skin, we are cleansing it, we are moisturizing and we're sun protecting so that our skin functions optimally. so i love that they have a routine and off they're prioritizing that. and how do ingredients like vitamin c and retinol help our skin? yeah, retinol is important, especially if you're acne prone or even if you want to just do something to improve texture and be a little preventative at some of the signs of aging. retinol can help get our skin cells on the same page so that they are turning over and making sure that we're revealing that dewy, glowy skin underneath. and vitamin c works hand in hand with the with retinol because it helps to address antioxidant effects. it's going to improve our, brighten our skin, improve our skin bounce and tightness. so i love vitamin c. it's one of my favorite ingredients and i'm sure that as a derm you hear all the time people are just like: just tell me what to use. just tell me questions. so, whether for dry skin or oily skin, we hear consistently that it's hard to find the right skin care product, right? so what are some general tips that you can offer to help guide someone to a healthier skincare routine? yeah, i think that it's important for us to not go without moisturizer. none of us want to look ashy, right? none of us. that's like the thing we're all trying to avoid. so don't skip the moisturizer. just find the right one for your skin type, and that is going to actually go a long way in um improving the health of your skin, and then from there, you can start to add on actives. i think that there's a lot of focus on octaves without focusing on basic skincare, and so how is it important, how important is it, rather, for our audience to see the advice of someone like you, a dermatologist, partikularly someone, a dermatologist that looks like them? yeah, i i think it.
