1. Go to the product section on Shopify and click on Add product.
2. Enter your digital product title and description.
3. Add media for your digital file by clicking on Add file and upload your product media.
4. Add your pricing and any applicable discounts. You can also turn on tax charges and add your cost per item.
5. If your product has options such as size or color, enable this option and select option names and values.
6. Select draft under product status, select vendor, and select your collection.
7. Enter product tags and click on Save.
8. Install the Digital Downloads app from the Shopify App Store.
9. Open the app and click on Add app.
10. Go to your product and click on More actions, then select Add digital attachment.
11. Upload your digital file for every variant.
12. Click on View in your Shopify admin and select Active under product status.
13. Click on Save.
Tips and considerations:
- Make sure to uncheck the option continue selling when out of stock for digital products.
- Disable the option for physical products.
- You can add up to five gigabytes of digital files for each variant.
- Don't forget to add a download link for customers to access their purchased digital products.
- Consider offering bundle deals or exclusive content to entice customers to purchase your digital products.
