Peacock Premium is Just $2 & Getting Tons of New Shows

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Today, I wanted to talk to you about Peacock and some big changes that are coming up for the streaming service.

Here are some key points to keep in mind:

- Right now, you can get Peacock Premium for $1.99 a month for up to 12 months, or an annual plan for $19.99 for an entire year. This is a great deal, considering that it's normally $4.99 a month or $49.99 per year.

- A lot of shows that used to go from NBC to Hulu the next day will now be Peacock exclusives. This includes shows like the Law & Order and Chicago franchises, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, The Voice, and America's Got Talent.

- Some shows will remain on Hulu, such as Law & Order: SVU, This Is Us, The Mindy Project, and 30 Rock.

- If you're a Hulu Plus Live TV subscriber, you'll still get the live NBC channels as well as Bravo and E, which they own as well. You could record shows through there, but for everyone else, you will have to have Peacock to watch these shows going forward.

- Peacock doesn't get as much attention as some of the other streaming services, but there are several reasons why you might want to consider signing up. For example, they have Sunday Night Football, several different shows and movies coming out in the fall, and even Yellowstone, which is actually a Paramount production but they have the streaming rights to it.

Overall, if you're a fan of any of the shows that are moving over to Peacock, it might be worth signing up for the service. Just keep in mind that there are some shows that will remain on Hulu, so you may need both services depending on your viewing preferences. As always, I'll keep you guys informed of any special offers that come up with streaming services over time. And if you like this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel to stay up to date with all things streaming.

Peacock Review - 90 Days Later

Peacock is a streaming service that was launched in April 2020 for some Xfinity customers and later became available to the rest of us in July. Now, it is even available to Roku users. After 90 days of using Peacock, it is time to evaluate the service and determine which of the three tiers is the best to go for.

Peacock Tiers:

Peacock offers three tiers, which are the free tier, the premium tier, and the premium plus tier. Each tier has its own unique features and limitations.

Free Tier:

The free tier is, as the name suggests, free to use. However, it is commercial supported, with less than five minutes of commercials per hour. It provides access to about two-thirds of the Peacock library, which translates to about 13,000 hours of content. Some of the content available on the free tier includes Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Downton Abbey, and many other great titles. It also provides access to some parts of the original programming on Peacock.

Premium Tier:

The premium tier costs $5 per month or $50 per year, with commercials still included. It provides full access to the Peacock original programming and more sports than the free tier, including Premier League soccer and Tour de France coverage. It also provides access to the full Peacock library, which includes about 20,000 hours of content. Additionally, it offers quicker access to current NBC shows, with new episodes available the day after they air.

Premium Plus Tier:

The premium plus tier costs $10 per month or $100 per year and is the same as the premium tier, except that there are no commercials. However, the commercials on Peacock are mostly promos, which are less annoying than regular commercials.

Which Tier to Go For:

For most users, the free tier will be sufficient, with the option to dip into the premium tier for original programming or to keep up with current NBC shows. The premium plus tier is only worth considering for those who spend more than half of their streaming time on Peacock and hate commercials.

Peacock offers a great library of content with three different tiers to choose from. The free tier is suitable for most users, while the premium tier is a good option for those interested in original programming or current NBC shows. The premium plus tier is only recommended for those who spend a significant amount of time on Peacock and cannot tolerate commercials.

Which Streaming Service Has the Most COMMERCIALS?

In this article, we will be discussing the amount of commercials on different streaming services. We will analyze which streaming services have more commercials and which ones have fewer, and why that is the case. We will also compare the amount of commercials on streaming services to the amount on cable or satellite TV.

Streaming Services and Their Commercials:

- YouTube: Skippable ads make it unique from other streaming services. It only has a couple of minutes of commercials per hour of show.

- Hulu: The service has three minutes of commercials per hour of television watched on its lower fee tier.

- HBO Max: The service has around four to five minutes of commercials per hour of television watched.

- Paramount Plus: The service has around six minutes of commercials per hour of television watched.

- IMDb TV, Tubi, and The Roku Channel: These services have around six to eight minutes of commercials per hour of television watched. They are all single tier and only have commercial-supported plans.

Why Are There More Commercials on Some Streaming Services?

The reason for more commercials on some streaming services is because some have only commercial-supported plans. They need to make up for revenue that they would have received from subscription plans. For instance, Hulu has a premium version, which is why it has fewer commercials than some other services.

Comparison to Cable or Satellite TV:

Compared to cable or satellite TV, streaming services have significantly fewer commercials. Cable or network television has a minimum of 16 minutes of commercials per hour of programming. In some cases, it can be as high as 18 minutes.

If you are looking for a streaming service with fewer commercials, then it is best to choose a service with a paid tier, such as Hulu or HBO Max. If you do not mind commercials, then IMDb TV, Tubi, and The Roku Channel are good options. However, no matter what streaming service you choose, you will have fewer commercials than cable or satellite TV.
