First, we're going to go into the control panel and remove the installed program and anything else that may seem suspicious. In some cases, there might not be an installed program, but if we don't do this first, don't be surprised if it keeps on coming back. If you don't know how to do this, just open the control panel, click uninstall or change program, then click on the dates to arrange the programs. Look at the most recent ones, since the adware was recently added, it should be here. But I gotta warn you, viruses have gotten smarter with time, so now you may even encounter some that provide a back date or are installed under different names. So definitely look around and uninstall everything you don't remember adding.

Now, you need to ensure safe mode. Every version of Windows has a slightly different way of entering safe mode. So if you don't know how to do it or you're not feeling comfortable doing it on your own, there's a link below with a detailed guide that I've prepared. We'll fast forward this part for you.

First things first, let's open the registry. You do this by typing into the search field regedit. If you're not feeling comfortable, don't worry. You can't really mess things up here. Just follow what I'm about to do and you'll be fine. It's all a matter of finding the right registry key to edit. Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main. And here it is, delete the Start Page key and you're done.

For Google and Firefox, things are even easier. For Firefox, open the browser, make sure you've selected the menu bar by right-clicking on the very top. Then, click on the History dropdown and click on Clear Recent History. Choose Everything and make sure you've checked all the boxes available. Now, we'll reset the browser. Choose Troubleshooting Information and click Refresh Browser. Finish and we're done. Just get rid of this.

Now for Chrome, open the application. It doesn't matter from where. Under the menu button, click on Settings, then History and Clear Browsing Data. If you don't want to delete all your history and you know approximately when you caught the adware, feel free to delete to a specific period of time. Simply check all the boxes except passwords and then clear browsing data.

Now we can move on to resetting the browser. Back to settings and all the way down to the bottom, click Reset Settings. We want to make sure there aren't any leftovers in our browser extensions. So we'll start off with Firefox. Back to the menu icon and down to add-ons. From here, we'll be looking for any extensions that may be causing our problems. So just have a look around and delete everything that looks suspicious. Once Firefox has restarted and we've made sure there are no miscellaneous extensions, we can move on to Chrome. From the menu button, go into settings, click over extensions, and again, we're looking for anything suspicious that we need to delete. Click Remove and we're done.

All we have to do now is restart the computer and make sure that we got rid of the adware. If this video was helpful, please press the like button. Or you can subscribe to our channel. HOW TO REMOVE POPUPS / MALWARE / ADWARE / VIRUS FROM YOUR BROWSERS (Chrome or Firefox) 2018

Hey, what's up guys? It's u1k here back at it again with another simple and quick tutorial video. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove an adware virus that is affecting your computer. This problem has been bothering me recently, so I needed to find a solution for it. Luckily, I found a solution and I hope this video helps you guys a lot.

In case you guys don't have any antivirus installed on your computers and you're relying on Windows Defender for Windows OS, there's a software that you can download to help remove this adware virus. The software you need to download is the ADW cleaner, the malwarebytes, and also the hitman pro. The hitman pro offers a free 30-day trial, the malwarebytes has a 14-day trial, and the ADW cleaner is completely free.

Once you've downloaded these three files, you need to install the program and then run them step by step. First, run the ADW cleaner, then the malwarebytes, and lastly the hitman pro. When running the ADW cleaner, just press yes to start the scan. Once the scan is finished, it will show you the files that are affected by the virus. You can then choose to clean or remove the infected files. After that, you'll be asked to reboot your computer.

Next, run the malwarebytes program and press the Scan button. Wait for the program to scan your whole PC. Even though I've already run the ADW cleaner program, the malwarebytes program still detects some files that are affected by the virus. Once the scan is done, select the files and restart your computer.

Finally, run the hitman pro program. Scan your computer to make sure there are no more threats. After the scan, it may identify some threats, so you'll need to remove them. Enter the product key if required and wait for the program to remove the malicious software. Reboot your computer one more time.

After following all these steps, I hope that the adware virus has been completely removed from your computer. No more random pop-ups or browser openings to random websites. Remove Ads & Pop-Ups on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox & Safari (2015)

Hey guys, I'm back with an updated video on how to get rid of annoying ads, pop-up windows, and pop-up adsumtabs on Google Chrome. This time, I'm using a Mac, but you can follow the same steps on Windows.

First things first, open Chrome. I have a random website open here, just for demonstration purposes. I don't really use it, but it has ads on it. If you click on these social media buttons, you'll see a bunch of ads popping up everywhere.

To get rid of them, go to www.irs.gov (link in the description) and click on install for Chrome. This will add an extension that allows you to block ads. Once installed, you'll be directed to a website where you can choose from three filter options: block malware, remove social media buttons, and disable tracking. I recommend turning on all three options for maximum ad blocking.

Now, let's see the results. Just refresh the page, and boom! All those ads are gone. You can even go back to the page with social media buttons, and guess what? They're gone too. Now you can watch your movie in peace without any distractions.

But wait, sometimes you actually need pop-up windows for certain tasks like filling out a survey or watching a video. If you have ad blocking enabled, it will block these pop-ups as well. Don't worry, there's a solution. Just click on the ABP icon and disable it for that specific page. Refresh the page, and all the ads, including the social media buttons, will be back.

If you want to customize your ad blocking settings, you can click on options and it will take you to a website where you can make changes. For example, if you don't want any intrusive advertisements, simply uncheck the box. They also have options for different countries, so you can choose the appropriate filters for your location.

That's pretty much it! I hope you found this video helpful. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. If not, well, I understand. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

How to get rid of annoying pop up ads | These are not virus | EXPLAINED

Welcome to another episode of Andy Rocks! In this video, I'm going to show you how to get rid of those annoying pop-up screen ads. You know, the ones that appear out of nowhere and interrupt your browsing experience. We've all been there, and it can be really frustrating. But don't worry, I've got some tips and tricks to help you eliminate those pesky ads for good. So let's dive right in!

First things first, let's take a look at your Google Chrome browser. It's often the culprit behind these unwanted ads. Open up your browser and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. From there, go to settings and then notifications. You'll see a list of sites that are allowed to send you notifications. Make sure all of these are unchecked. This will prevent any unwanted ads from popping up on your screen.

Next, let's delve into the site settings. Tap on site settings and then notifications. You'll notice that this option is blocked. This is good because it means you won't receive any notifications from websites. If it's not blocked, make sure to check the box to block it. This will further ensure that you won't be bothered by those annoying ads.

Now, let's talk about those pop-ups that ask you to allow or block notifications. Always, and I mean always, hit the block button. These pop-ups can be deceiving, claiming that your device is infected or that you have a virus. But don't fall for it! These are fake and designed to trick you. Android phones are not susceptible to the same viruses as other operating systems, so hitting the allow button is unnecessary and potentially dangerous.

If, by chance, you do hit the allow button, don't panic. You can always go back to the site settings in notifications and find the website that you accidentally allowed. Simply uncheck the box and you'll be good to go.

But what if you've done all of this and you're still experiencing those unwanted ads? It's time to check your installed applications. Go to your settings and click on applications. Here, you'll find a list of all the apps on your device. Take a close look and see if there are any suspicious or unknown apps. If you find one, uninstall it immediately.

In my case, I found an app called uTorrent with no name and no icon. It was clearly trying to hide itself. This is a red flag. I uninstalled and deactivated the app, ensuring that it can no longer send me those pesky ads.

Lastly, clear your Google Chrome data. This will remove any lingering traces of the app that was causing the ads. Go to your storage settings, tap on Google Chrome, and clear the cache and data.

Now, lock your device and unlock it again. Open up your Google Chrome browser and voila! No more pop-up ads!

Remember, always be cautious when surfing the internet. Don't trust those fake notifications and ads that claim your device is infected. Stay vigilant and keep your browsing experience safe.

How to stop pop-ups and ads using Mozilla Firefox

Welcome to another video by Blissful Techno Health. Today, we're going to discuss how to keep your computer clean and prevent pop-ups and ads while browsing the internet using the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Firefox is a popular web browser, although some people prefer Chrome. In this video, we will focus on Firefox.

Here are some steps to keep your computer clean and prevent pop-ups:

1. Check your add-ons: Open Firefox and click on the three lines icon on the top right to access your options. Go to Add-ons and look for any extensions that might be causing issues. If you find any suspicious or unfamiliar extensions, disable or remove them.

2. Manage plugins: While extensions are more likely to cause issues, it's a good idea to go through your plugins as well. Look for any plugins that seem suspicious and remove them if necessary.

3. Configure your browser settings: Click on the three lines icon again and go to Options. Under the General tab, make sure Firefox is set as your default browser. Check your homepage settings and remove any strange or unfamiliar websites. Set your homepage to a trusted website or use the Firefox start page. Also, check your default search engine and remove any unwanted search engines.

4. Install Adblock Plus: Adblock Plus is a helpful tool that prevents pop-ups and ads from appearing while you browse websites. To install it, search for Adblock Plus for Firefox and click on the first result. Add the add-on to Firefox and it will be installed successfully. You can see the Adblock Plus icon on the top right of your browser. If you need to manage the add-on, go to the Add-ons section in Firefox options.

Following these steps should help keep your computer clean and free from unwanted pop-ups and ads. If you still experience issues after installing Adblock Plus, it's possible that your computer has a malware infection or virus. In that case, it's recommended to seek professional help to clean your computer.
